"Situated between two lakes at the bottom of the Jungfrau mountain in the Bernese Highlands of Switzerland , this venerable five-star hotel and spa, which dates back to 1865, offers scenery and comfort in equal measure. Subtly balancing tradition and modernity, the rooms are bright, spacious, and brimming with refined furnishings and fabrics. Plus, all come with picturesque views across the town of Interlaken or the Harder Kulm mountain. There are several higher-end suites to choose from; modernists might like the clean lines of the stylish Bel-Air suite, while hedonists will love the lavish Tower Suite, with its two terraces, kitchenette, bar, and dining room. The hotel’s two restaurants serve Mediterranean-inspired dishes from the south of France and Italy, and there are twohandsome bars and a gloriously expansive spa for further diversion."

This is a very "adequate" hotel - it is wildly overpriced, but you are paying for the location in Interlaken so that you can easily do day trips to nearby nature areas. I would not view this hotel as a highlight of your trip to Interlaken, just a comfortable place to sleep in between days of seeing nature. If your intent is to enjoy a hotel resort, I don't think you should stay here (or Interlaken for that matter). ||The room itself is surprisingly nice and I had no complaints. Comfortable bed, good cleaning by housekeeping, good bathtub. ||The valet was very quick to bring the car around, fantastic.||The only issue is the breakfast - the venue is beautiful, and you can sit inside or outside. And there is a good selection of fruits, including blackberries and blueberries. But the overall quality of the other breakfast items was lacking - felt like a breakfast at a much cheaper hotel. ||If they can improve the quality of the breakfast food offerings, this would be a very good hotel.

The Victoria-Jungfrau was a great home base to explore the area! Lara checked us in and gave us a tour of the grounds. This hotel is a perfect example of old-school luxury and they do a good job of maintaining the historic feel. We had a Junior-Suite with a living room with a pull-out couch and a bedroom. The patio looked out over the field across the street where the para-gliders were landing and we could see the Jungfrau in the distance. The breakfast buffet has great options and the dinner we had Radius by Stefan Beer was worth the splurge. The service was great everywhere including valet and poolside. The only complaint is the oddly long and roundabout way one has to walk to get to the pool. Vicki was very helpful and friendly at check-out and Phillip was always around to check in on us. Overall, a great stay!

The hotel is simply wonderful with excellent rooms, amenities and service. We were delighted during our entire state. One special service that really won our hearts was the kids club. Our 5yo daughter enjoyed it so much she wanted to stay there the whole time. The educators are great and they have a full schedule of activities every day. The space is big and complete with toys, music room, and arts room. Definitely a big plus for those families traveling with kids.

The hotel itself is of course beautiful, and it has everything you could want, including to our surprise, an indoor tennis court (on which we played). The service was exceptional. In particular, I want to commend Moritz who went above and beyond to make our stay especially comfortable and enjoyable. He is an enormous asset to the hotel. If we return to the hotel, and I hope we do, his service will be one of the reasons that we would do so.

We had the pleasure of spending two nights at the Victoria-Jungfrau and were impressed from start to finish. Not only was the service among the best I have ever experienced, but our dog was also exceptionally well taken care of. There was even a special amenity just for him. The team was very friendly and well-organized. The breakfast was outstanding, and the outdoor pool is definitely a highlight. We will certainly be back

We had the most amazing time and will definitely be back. The hotel is a short 10 min walk from Interlaken West. We stayed in a deluxe room facing the Juangfrau. We were fortunate enough to have blue skies for most of our time in Interlaken so were treated with the stunning views at various times of the day from the balcony. The room was spacious and perfectly appointed for our needs. Comfortable bed with all you’d expect for the level of hotel. It was noisy with the window open in the evening from the piano and a band playing elsewhere in town but that all finished up around 2200. Breakfast buffet was perfect with plenty of choice. Relaxing setting. We ate in both restaurants and had some delicious food. Service was first class (Corinne in particular). The Italian restaurant was busy and the noise didn’t make it feel like a 5 star hotel but the attentive service / wine recommendation more than made up for it. There are still plenty of the original charming features of the hotel even though it’s been modernised over the years. Well worth a stay even just to sit on the terrace or your balcony to watch the mountains and just be.

Google
A 5 star hotel that lives up to the gold standard. This is a very large hotel, but upon arrival, our reception made us feel right at home. Our room was beyond spacious and beautiful with the most exquisite views. We enjoyed watching the paragliders come out of the sky and land in front of the hotel right from our balcony. You will be pleased with the dining options ~ naturally, only the highest quality foods are prepared with exceptional service. This is a perfect base for all adventures.

Google
Victoria-Jungfrau is truly one of the best hotels in Switzerland. The rooms are spacious, fully equipped, and exceptionally clean, with stunning views that make the stay even more special. The terrace atmosphere and live piano performance were incredible—I could even enjoy the music from my room. Every detail felt luxurious and well worth it. Highly recommended for a memorable stay in Interlaken.

Yelp
Superb experience across the board. Staff uniformly friendly and professional. Spa and pool are top tier with lots of warm heated lanes to swim laps, four indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. The back of the hotel has amazing wooded Mountain Views, the front including the dining room faces the Jungfrau and landing site for paragliders in the park. Rooms modern but elegant and classy. Breakfast buffet is huge; afternoon tea extensive. Played billiards and swam every day. Centrally located but quiet rooms. Pricey but worth it for a world class experience!

Yelp
Excellent view and delicious dinner. Had dinner with my friends and all of us were super happy with the food and the extremely friendly staff. I started with a cup of cappuccino, followed by regional chicken 'coq au vin blanc" and ended on a sweet note of chocolate mousse!! My friends had the trout entree and they too loved it. Everything was just yummy and perfectly portioned. Above all, the view and ambiance were just spectacular, the snow-capped mountains with beautiful lush green landscape!! A perfect spot to end your day!!

Yelp
A classic and magical stay at the hotel in May 2024. The hotel must have been recently remodeled, but the feel and look made us feel like we stepped back in time to a more magical period. The entire staff including reception, house keeping, concierge, valet, restaurant servers, and spa workers were extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive to us. The room was spacious and immaculate. The hotel restaurant's breakfast was an experience in and of itself with an entire room dedicated to delicious foods. The view from our room and restaurant was breathtaking. And the pool! Pictures don't do it justice as the indoor heated pool was huge (great for swimming laps) and the outside heated hot tub (large enough for 8 - 10 comfortably) was so fun and relaxing with an up close view of the Alps. As wonderful as the hotel ambience was, it was truly the caring staff (special thank you to Laura and Francesca) that made our stay amazing.

Yelp
The BEST hotel in Interlaken. We had a Jr. Suite with a balcony and view of the Jungfrau mountains. SPECTACULAR. We saw hang gliders landing in front of us throughout the day. The staff was attentive , friendly and courteous. We arrived early and jet lagged. I fell asleep accidentally in the lounge area to be awakened by two hotel staff who were very concerned for me.... I probably looked like the area's first bag lady. They checked on my room and it was ready. We ate dinner in the hotel dining room and it was wonderful. Daily breakfast included where we had the BEST coffee ever! Would come back to Interlaken and would stay again in the very same room!

Yelp
From start to finish, the staff at the Victoria Jungfrau Grand Hotel were spectacular. The hotel looks spectacular, and it is very luxurious. Everything you can ask for is available: great dining options, indoor pools, spas, weight lifting gym, cardio machines, and so much more. The rooms are spacious (we had a junior suite), and it had a living area, his and her closets, hot tub, shower, and his and her sinks. Very comfortable, and they brought in fresh fruit, water, and chocolate each day - a nice touch. What was more impressive was the staff. They were very friendly, and even more helpful. The concierge went into great detail about all the excursions we could do, then took care of all the booking details on his own. First, we had a private spa sessions setup which was spectacular. It starts with a simple lunch, which was delicious. Then, we had 2 hours in a private spa that was equipped with a sauna room, a steam room, and a hot bath. The room was decorated with rose petals, and had an assortment of fruits and teas to enjoy. What then followed was a 2 hour massage. It was one of the most relaxing experiences I have ever had. so relaxing that I feel asleep during the massage! After that experience, we had setup a couple of days on the slopes. The concierge setup up with snowboarding on day 1, and then we did sledding on day 2. Great experience and I would recommend all beginners do sledding as it is the funnest and easiest to learn. Snowboarding is tough! Anyhow, the place we rented the snowboarding equipment made a billing error that was discovered on a Sunday, and I couldn't fix it as they were closed. The hotel took it upon themselves to fix this issue with me after I had already left. It took them a week to resolve it, but they did it for me - which is something that I greatly appreciate. I almost forgot to mention the daily breakfast buffet. I normally don't care for buffets, but this breakfast buffet was great. A large of assortment of bread, croissants, and other pastries with a wide variety of fresh jams, nutella, and honey on the comb. Fresh fruit juices and champagne for some great mimosas. Overall, it was the best hotel experience I have had. When I go back to Switzerland, I will be staying there :)

Yelp
May 2016. Easily the best hotel experience of our lives, and we've stayed in some truly amazing places around the world. From beginning to end, top flight service worthy of the five stars it has. We enjoyed a spacious junior suite stocked with fruit, chocolates and fresh roses every day. The room was brightly decorated with rich fabric walls and thick beautiful curtains with stunning views of the surrounding Alps. The enormous bathroom had heated floors, his/hers sinks and a luxurious jacuzzi tub to sooth our aching muscles at day's end. It was from our hotel room window that we first spied the hang gliders... One mention of it and our ever attentive Concierge, Jose', made the arrangements and off we went, soaring above Interlaken on a spectacularly clear day; landing right across the street in the park. Easily one of the top ten adventure experiences of our lives. Jose' studied us and anticipated our needs and interests. We rode scooters (with good breaks!) down First --above Grindelwald, climbed waterfalls near Lauderbraun, and took the trams to the top of Shilthorn, all at the suggestion of our amazing Concierge. When he heard that we had purchased a Go Pro video of our hang gliding, Jose' kindly offered to have the Business Center copy and email us the pictures and videos from the thumb drive so we could enjoy them without waiting until we returned home. Our days began with the included "breakfast"; a buffet feast more extensive than most I've seen in America--even honeycombs! We gorged ourselves on international delicacies and didn't need to eat again until dinner. The hotel is spacious, truly grand, and no detail is too small for their creative attention; even the topiaries with bright yellow ribbons that greet you at the entrance. We were really sad to leave but did so in style as we were driven to the train in one of their beautiful Jaguars. From start to finish, an unforgettable experience, worth the price, and then some.

Yelp
Nice hotel. A little outdated. Kinda smoky. The Spa makes this hotel. The service wasn't up

Yelp
We stayed 4 nights here. The room was fine, but it overlooks the very busy street. While the view is nice, I would have preferred something more quiet. They have a piano player in the courtyard which is pretty cool. We got room service one night which was fine. Otherwise, we did not eat at the restaurants so I cannot comment on them. We did go to the spa. I got a facial and a massage-both were average. My hub got a massage from a male masseur who he said was very good. There were some VERY noisy guests who were up all night one night. The hotel staff intervened as someone else must have complained. It helped but didn't fix the problem completely. Overall, I would spend the money on a nice hotel in Lauderbrunnen or Grindelwald.

Yelp
This place is off the charts nice. The service is not five star it is ten stars. The rooms are beautiful with amazing views of Interlaken and the majestic swiss alps. The location puts it into easy walking distance of all areas in the city. There are no words to describe how nice this place is. It's worth everything you pay. Oh and the pool is fantastic.
