We had some extra time at Newark Airport due to a flight delay, so we decided to grab drinks and snacks at this restaurant. At first glance, it looked like a decent spot with large TVs and plenty of comfortable seating. However, the experience quickly went downhill.
The first red flag was having to order via QR code, which also required us to pay upfront, including the tip—before we even received our food or service. That felt completely unreasonable. Why tip for service you haven’t experienced yet? On top of that, the drinks were priced like a Manhattan bar at $20, but the glasses were small and not worth the price.
We ordered loaded fries, and while they tasted okay, they were cold by the time they arrived—25 minutes later! To make matters worse, they brought only one set of plastic utensils for the table. The whole experience felt like something I would never want to pay for, let alone tip in advance. Disappointing service and not worth the money.
