Victory Social Is Way More Than Dallas’s Latest Food Hall | Eater Dallas

"Led by Josh Harmon — recognizable by his booming voice, rattail finishing out a mullet, and minimalistic tattoos — and partner Kevin Lillis (who, the piece notes, “looks like Pete Buttigieg if you squint a little”), the project is a chef-driven, DIY food-hall reimagining run without outside investors: the two owners “own the IP on all the restaurant concepts” and Harmon oversees the kitchens. The space intentionally allows guests to either walk up to each station and order or sit and receive full service, with everyone at the table free to order from any stall. Concepts include Rise & Thyme (breakfast); Birdie (Harmon’s chicken-sandwich shop); Itza Cocina (Tex‑Mex, heavy on tacos and influenced by Harmon’s time at Purpecha); Park Bistro (soup and sandwich); D’oro Italiano (traditional Italian); and Victory Grill, which features classic Harmon recipes from the long‑defunct Junction and LTO Kitchen. There is one central kitchen where everything is prepared with Harmon at the helm; Lillis calls it a kitchen full of “killers,” noting staff who’ve worked at Monarch, Georgie, Quarter Acre, Lucia, and local legend Stephan Pyles’ various endeavors. Beverage offerings include some 25 wines by the glass, custom cocktails, draft beers, and “packaged” drinks (canned beers and canned millennial faves like High Noon); happy hour is half off drafts, beers, and house wines Monday–Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Harmon has also curated an evening rotating menu: Eater Dallas sampled the Original JCK Steak Tartare — a tartare that sits on top of an egg yolk in the basket (a breakfast conceit of an egg cooked in a piece of toast) — presented with the yolk left uncooked so the diner “cuts all the way through the tartare to get to the egg underneath,” finished with a tallow fat aioli to enhance the beef. He also serves a snackable take on deviled eggs: stuffed eggs with bacon pâté and a dusting of berbere spice paired with a puri bite filled with trout rillettes that he describes as “a gusher” (they are, eat with caution). The space includes a private dining room for reservations where diners can let Harmon and staff cook to order or give direction (he welcomes challenges such as recreating grandma’s cake), plus a customized serving station that routes directly into the central kitchen to increase opportunities to interact with the chef. The founders position the project as an affordable, DIY alternative to conventional food halls — shaped in part by past lessons from larger halls and corporate deals (Lillis observed that “The Exchange was built for speed”) — and Harmon frames his approach as chef-focused: “I liked being part of the coolest food hall in Dallas,” he says, and when the model shifted he preferred to walk away rather than compromise that focus. Opening dates are reported in the piece as Thursday, November 7 (initial announcement) and later November 9, and the location is listed at 2323 Victory Ave." - Courtney E. Smith

We are in town for a volleyball tournament and decided have a team brunch here. I will have to say the place is absolutely beautiful and the decor is amazing. The service by all of the staff was amazing as everyone was super nice. However, this place just opened and just dont have everything quite together yet. Still some light construction going on inside but nothing that affected our experience. I had the pepperoni pizza which looked absolutely amazing. It tasted exceptionally well but was really cold when the brought it out. My my wife had the chicken tacos and she really loved them. We also had chips and dips that was okay. I really loved the green salsa but red wasn't too great. Honestly 3 starts for now but can't wait unti this place has some running time as it has the potential to be a top spot. Will update my review upon coming back.

Victory Social is a sleek, fun, and vibrant hangout in the heart of Dallas. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how gorgeous the space is—sleek, elegant, and perfect for any occasion, whether it's a breakfast (avo toast and espresso martini?!), casual night out or a celebratory dinner. The decor is really neat and makes for a great, vibey space. We were lucky enough to have Quinn as our waiter, and he made the experience even more memorable. Attentive, friendly, and full of great suggestions, Quinn went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Let’s talk about the drinks: the Bird cocktail is a must-try, super floral and delicious without being too sweet. And if you're into Aperol, don't miss the frozen Aperol spritz—feels like a trip to Italy. They also have a killer happy hour, with half off some of the best cocktails so you can enjoy without breaking the bank. Turning to food, Victory Social has something for everyone. The pizza is delicious, the Mexican dishes are full of bold flavor, and the chicken and burgers are fire as well. It’s the kind of place where everyone at the table leaves happy (and full). A table next to us ordered the brownie, and that is the next item I want to try… Highly recommend this spot. Victory Social is perfect in all the categories: the atmosphere, service, and menu. We’ll definitely be back!

Victory Social was such a good spot. Super chill vibes, and Samantha was awesome — super friendly and easygoing. The pizza hit the spot, and the smashed burger was seriously tasty. Definitely coming back soon.

From the moment we stepped into Victory Social, Cassandra set the tone for an outstanding evening. Her warm welcome guided us to a cozy spot at the bar, where she expertly walked us through their cocktail menu with genuine enthusiasm and a keen understanding of our tastes. Each drink she crafted was balanced and inventive—her twist on the classic Old Fashioned was easily one of the best we’ve ever had. Beyond her mixology skills, Cassandra’s attentiveness made all the difference. She timed her check-ins perfectly, refilling our glasses before they were even empty and offering thoughtful pairing suggestions for small plates. Her friendly, conversational approach felt effortless and welcoming. Victory Social’s lively atmosphere paired with Cassandra’s top-notch service made our night truly memorable. If you’re looking for great drinks served with genuine care, be sure to ask for Cassandra—you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered some pork belly tacos and stated I wanted all the toppings on it. Got tacos with nothing on it. Street corn was also a disappointment - not worth $6. This place is overpriced. You can find much better food in the area.

Had an outstanding experience. Sat at the bar & was taken care of by Eddie. Ten out of ten!! They have a great cocktail menu & an outstanding variety of restaurants. I could be here everyday & get something new. I did go for the pasta & have no regrets!! Ordered a pizza Togo. I need to go back & check out the coffee bar!! That’s my top priority but also, a few other menus caught my eye. Side note- the bathroom is exquisite & worth a stop for that alone.

I stopped in to enjoy a meal while I was waiting for a concert to start nearby. The service, atmosphere, and food was absolutely amazing! The restrooms have bidet’s and are kept clean.

Went to Victory Social before a Stars game and this spot will definitely be a staple for future games. Tons of choices with reasonable prices. I opted for the beef tallow fries and fennel sausage pizza. Both were solid, not the best I've ever had but would be happy to return. Space has tons of potential, hope more folks venture out and find this little food hall!
