An elegant old brick building in Seattle, the kind that looks particularly distinct when contrasted with the anonymous glass towers rising everywhere nowadays in this neighborhood. It stood out to me certainly, and I entered after a morning walk to the waterfront, and I ordered Earl Gray tea and a dolce de leche croissant. Both were a little expensive, but nothing too extreme by Seattle standards, and the refurbished interior is wood grain and quite lovely. I wish there was a little more of the old industrial chic to it inside, but there was nothing to complain about, and everyone was quite pleasant. The views of the neighborhood are quite dramatic, and so this is an ideal place to have a seat beside the window and look out at the people passing by.
