"The name says it all. Located in a strip mall across from the Galveston seawall, this casual restaurant is the ideal place to get fresh boiled Viet-Cajun seafood at any time. The menu also runs the gamut, with boudin balls, crab cakes, and burgers, along with vermicelli bowls and steaming bowls of pho. The loaded fries — topped with marinated beef, onions, cilantro, Ranch, spicy aioli, Hot Cheetos, and a sunny-side-up egg — is worth the trip itself." - Courtney E. Smith, Brittany Britto Garley, Minh T. Truong

What a great find! Viet Cajun is a family-run spot that truly delivers. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I had the salt and pepper wings with a side of Thai sauce—absolutely delicious! The wings were crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the Thai sauce added a great kick. You can feel the pride in this family-operated business. Definitely a hidden gem in Galveston. Highly recommend!

How did I not go here when I used to live in Galveston back?! This place is really good!!! The price is decent and the portion they serve you is alot! The boudin balls is made a little different but I really like it. I wpuld definitely go back and try their gumbo and crawfish. Highly recommended!

Shrimp Po’ Boy was delicious, pho is rich in flavor, and best veggie fried rice I’d ever had. Everything was seasoned well and nice portions, and like that they’re byob too. Will definitely come back when we’re in town!

When I visit Galveston it was a Must I visit Viets. This last visit was NOT good. The snow crabs wasn't cooked properly and the butter sauce was butter flavored water with garlic. It was Horrible. VIETS really disappointed me this last trip.

Small place but big flavors! such a great little restaurant, staff at front desk was friendly & they were very accommodating with my diet restrictions! I ordered the tilapia & shrimp with extra vegetables instead of rice & it was amazing! very well seasoned & big portions!

I came here for crawfish and absolutely melted at the listed crab cakes on the appetizer menu. The crab cakes were delicious and freshly fried. We ordered 3 lbs of crawfish and some potatoes and corn in garlic butter. They didn’t hold back on the sides or the garlic butter! These were some of the juiciest crawfish I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten a lot of bugs! It’s early in the season right now so I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the crawfish. I will be coming back for more! I didn’t order any other food but everything that was served today looked and smelled delicious.

GALVESTON… OHHHH GALVESTON… why has nobody ever mentioned Viet Cajun before?!?! WHY??? 😩😩😩 I’m not going to make this one into a book because I don’t want to bore anybody with my love for Vietnamese food… BUT… GUYS!!!! OMG!!! O-M-G!!! I was not expecting what I got… I couldn’t really mash up Vietnamese and Cajun food in my head… but its that type of food you never thought you needed or wanted, but soooo glad you have it now. Does that make sense??? I’m going to be honest… I had no idea this place existed. But a person who read my review on Pho Tai said, you have to go try Viet Cajun… and boy oh boy were they sooooo right about this place. I’m gonna let the pictures speak for themselves… But those LOADED FRIES!!! Thank you Lord baby Jesus for whoever had the idea for them…🙌🏽 The bahn mi sandwich was outstanding. I asked for a small rice and I swear they must have looked at me and said he looks hungry because it had to have been half a sack of rice on that plate. But it was so so delicious also. Go try them yall…. It is LEGIT!!! Here is their info in case somebody wants to try them: Viet Cajun 8910 FM-3005 Ste E Galveston, TX 77554 (409) 497-2216 And I promise… not all my reviews will be on Vietnamese food… I’ll be trying a lot of new places this year and sharing any of them that I enjoy, with you all. Thank you and God Bless… 🙏🏽 - THAT TREE GUYS REVIEWS

This is a gem. We loved the menu here: Vietnamese, seafood, and classics like a hamburger. Reasonably priced. No fuss. Fantastic food. My daughter loved the banh mi sandwich. My son had fried spring rolls. My husband had a bacon cheeseburger. My mom got two fish and fried rice. We all liked the fried rice. I got fried fish, shrimp, and oysters. We did not like the oysters. Everything else was yummy! We could eat here over and over again.
