Trin was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The Beef Stew with cold rice and Vermicelli Bowl was soooo delicious!!! Trin’s suggestions were amazing. Will definitely come back to try more. Great environment for a cute date. 10/10

My very first experience eating pho. This location gets 5+ stars. No exaggeration. The restaurant was clean, which was great considering the ice storm we just experienced. The staff were super helpful with helping me make the best choice for food to eat. I had the shrimp pho and chicken dumplings. And Krissana went above and beyond when it came to legendary service. I definitely plan to return. This was one of the best “first experiences” I’ve ever had.

The food was authentic and flavorful, with very generous portions. Our server was extremely attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. When I mentioned that something seemed off with one item, they addressed it right away, fixed it promptly, and even thanked me for pointing it out. It was clear they genuinely care about making things right and continuously improving. Highly recommend this place, and we’re definitely looking forward to coming back again.

They were one of the only 2-3 places open during the snow storm and we were extremely happy! We walked from our hotel where we were staying for a business trip. We were extremely grateful to be warmly greeted upon walking in. The staff were kind and welcoming. The food came out quick and was delicious! The serving sizes are large and very affordable. I highly suggest the beef stew with rice noodles, pho and chicken vermicelli! All were amazing. Thank you for being open for those of us who had no options!

I had such a fantastic experience at Viet Kitchen! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and authentically prepared. The pho had a rich, fragrant broth with tender slices of beef, and the beef stew was hearty, comforting, and packed with flavor. I also loved the broken rice, which was served with perfectly seasoned meat and fresh sides that tied the dish together beautifully. Beyond the amazing food, what really stood out was the excellent customer service. The staff was warm, attentive, and made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. They checked in just the right amount, offered great recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect. Viet Kitchen is a true gem — delicious Vietnamese cuisine paired with friendly, top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family!

only had take out, since parking situation in this area is always an atrocity. got the pork banh mi & iced coffee. service was quick, attentive, and very friendly. makes me want to dine in next time... the pork banh mi fell short of expectations. not your traditional bread. pretty fluffy, hoagie roll type. an abundance of pickled carrots, which was fine, but it overpowered the pork - which needed as much power as it can amassed. not quite traditional grilled pork w that sweet & savory flavor. more lemongrassy... not my preference, but not in a bad way. just didn't stand out as the main star it should've been the coffee was presentable w a nice dark taupe color but taste wise was pretty lackluster. no hint of condensed milk, and if there were any it wasn't nearly enough. felt like it was overly topped w half & half. I used traditional in my review because that's what was expected; however, their name is stated they are a "fusion" restaurant. can't hate on that...just had higher hopes. there other food looks good enough to be tempted to come back so we'll see... ps - I wasn't satisfied so I went to another nearby Vietnamese place and going through their photos, both of the restaurants used the same stock photo. that's just plain lazy...

Thr Viet Kitchen restaurant in Downtown Washington, D.C. is worth a visit if you like Asian food. I enjoyed their Thai Tea, Spicy Wontons, and Vermicelli Bowl with shrimp and pork. Their prices are reasonable and the offer friendly service in a cozy space. My only preference would have been not to have to go downstairs to get to their bathroom because the stairs were rather steep.

Authentic!! Staffed by both Thai and Vietnamese folks, they definitely have the Vietnamese noodles down. For $17 for a pho bowl or a beef stew bowl, I'm surprised at the quality. It's great. Will definitely come back. Service was excellent. I went here twice just to be sure.

Warm + foodie Had the best little foodie find in Dupont Circle this weekend My friend and I stopped by @vietkitchendc for her birthday and I can't stop thinking about that shrimp pho (with extra brisket, of course ). Quick take: close to my hotel This Vietnamese spot was close to my hotel. I ordered the beef stew with bread. The stewed meat was tender and had a lot of flavor. I ordered a passion fruit drink and didn't really like that drink. Service was very friendly and fast. If I stayed longer I would have dined a second time.

A new reigning pho house. The broth is one of the best in the DMV, leaning towards the salt (which is good); the broth was piping hot enough to cook the sprouts (a requirement); and the beef ratio to noodle in the Special bowl was overwhelming (a plus). Take all that, and it's (strangely) a couple dollars cheaper than the rest of DC's pho.

Amazing banh mi sandwich and pho. I like ordering take out from here and going to across the pond (bar) to watch games. The bar has no kitchen so it's so convenient having the restaurant here. Need to go and try their Vietnamese coffee next. Service was friendly and they have a system down to get orders in and out.

The layout of this restaurant doesn't really lend itself to a smooth entry, which is really a function of the space and not necessarily a reflection on the place as a whole. It was small, so it quickly became crowded and loud. The staff were perhaps overly attentive. I think the place is newer, there was an air of anxiety in the way they hovered over us and how quickly they jumped to bring the food out or clear our table. Food was a little pricey for the quality. We got the Singapore noodles with shrimp. The shrimp was overcooked, the noodles a bit mushy, and overall the dish lacked the strong curry flavor I'd expect. It also didn't include some ingredients I'd typically see included in the dish, like small slices of bbq pork. The pho special was a decent portion and the meat was fine, it was just nothing to phone home about. Probably less bean sprouts and basil leaves than I'd have received at other restaurants and don't think I saw options on the menu with tripe, tendon, or other items that I usually see on pho menus.

The food is amazing, the Tai iced tea is brewed to perfection and the service is superb. Trin was my server and she was very attentive.

After visiting a museum, it was raining and I wanted Pho. This place was highly rated and I wanted to check it out. When we arrived, the owner greeted us and immediately found a table. (The place was packed!) I felt like this place was authentic given the population I observed eating inside. The pho was cheaper than the pho back home. The portion size was just right. I ordered the Pho with round steak. It was some of the best pho I have ever had. I'm a phoologist at this point. This place was easy to find, clean, had excellent service, and I would love to go back.

In town for a conference and stumbled across this awesome authentic place. The wife ordered their steak pho and I ordered their vermicelli chicken & shrimp dish. Wow, bloody wow. Left the place with a circus in my mouth. Oh, and the service was top notch also. Highly recommend. 3 Thumbs Up & 5 Stars from us.

Disappointing. Not authentic. The grilled pork rice plate was mostly fat rather than meat and wasn't grilled at all. The pad thai tofu looked good but was tasteless. Wouldn't recommend at all. The service was fine and the ambience was nice. But the food is expensive and not authentic at all.

I came out here to visit and found this lil restaurant. Singapore noodles and pho was good. It Tasted authentic.

Fantastic meals and incredible service. Trinh really made the experience with thoughtful service and insights into the menu items. Every time I come in Trinh remembers me. I've been here 3 times in the last month or so and have had the Pho and the vermicelli bowls.

Good food and great service. There were 10 of us and everything enjoyed their meal! We had pho, traditional Vietnamese vermicelli and over rice, fried rice etc.

I brought a Banh Mi with me, and wow -- it's absolutely bursting with flavor. The way Viet Kitchen grills the meat? Perfection. Smoky, tender, just the right char. Every bite is a masterpiece. I could eat this every day. Also a salad

We got pho, a vermicelli bowl with chicken and pork, fried rice and a couple appetizers. Most of the food was good but the fried rice was oily and not very well seasoned. At the end of the meal, the server asked us to pay a tip in cash because she said that she did not receive the tip when it was added to the credit card payment. It led to an awkward conversation that left a bad taste in our mouth after a nice meal.

A++ Great local gem for Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. I appreciate they don't skimp on noodles in the pho.

Got takeout from here and it was great! Loved the banh mi. Highly recommmed the lemongrass pork.

Ordered takeout. Was fine but the amount of meat in the pho was pathetic. Spent 20 dollars for maybe a McDonald's patty amount of meat (and that was with an extra portion).
