My Brother Jim turned me on this joint!! Man that Ribeye Vermicelli was outta sight!! Great food and fast service!! The Spring Rolls were awesome too!!

Google
We were looking for a new Vietnamese restaurant to indulge our love of Vietnamese food, and this is the place!!! It is delicious, the portions are generous and everything is incredibly fresh. Service is very quick everything, was incredibly delicious, and it was a joy to hear the happy laughter coming from the staff in the back! We will definitely be back, fresh, filling, and fun! A real GEM!!!

Google
My husband and I had their beef vermicelli and shrimp spring rolls. And boy was the vermicelli spicy. A heads up would have been nice. Beef vermicelli is my all time favorite dish. I have never had it done spicy. And I hate spicy. Won’t be going back. And our spring rolls fell apart while we ate them. And the dipping sauce was super oily. I do not recommend them. This is what we get for venturing away from north shore empress.

Google
I have been here about 6 or 7 times. Always had great experiences up until tonight. My husband and I went to eat there around 6:45, stayed until 7:55, they close at 8:30. Food was good, not great. 2 servers talked amongst themselves the whole time in what I assume was Vietnamese, TOTALLY FINE. The only thing one server said about 30 times in English while laughing with the other server was "Go home, Go home, Go home" on and on for the last 10-15 minutes we were there. I'm not sure if it is because we were the only table they had the whole time or what, but RUDE. We will go clear across town to eat at Pho Cong from now on. BTW, we are extremely quiet and respectful, so I really dont know what her problem could be, other than laziness and a lack of basic customer service.

Bacardi D.

Google
The pho was fantastic. They make a really nice chili oil to spice it up. The couple running the place were very attentive. I was surprised how affordable it was. There is a smaller size that is perfect for lunch.

Joanna C.

Google
Had the Bahn mi sandwich, aka Asian poboy on the menu. Delicious. I had the stir fry chicken in lemongrass. Service prompt, courteous and attentive.

John V.

Google
Worst pho I have ever had took 3 bites could not finish. The noodles were lumped together way over cooked and the broth had zero flavor tasted like they took non salt broth out the grocery store and poured it in. If I could give it a 0 I would.

Google
Very happy to see vietnamese sandwiches and pho... And bubble tea I feel in heaven coming from Seattle a much missed food .... Very nice & clean. Welcoming staff very on top of giving you a wonderful experience and pleasing the customer... Excellent and delightful lunch and dinning in or out experience

Yelp
You know how some places have French po boy sandwich type breads? But they don't toast it right before being served? Or it tastes kinda stale? NOT THIS PLACE! But Lawwd have mercy you just gotta try the way they serve it to you at this place...they've spoiled me and I don't want ANY sandwich served ANY DIFFERENTLY from now on. Get the grilled lemon grass chicken or the shrimp. It's toasted on a French bread perfectly and so soft on the inside. I promise you, you will fall in love with it!

Yelp
The food was really good unfortunately I was really hungry and moved my food around before taking a pic of how they have it too me but it was really good I will defend be back Thank you

Jay M.

Yelp
Holy crap! This place absolutely SLAPS. I've been here for 3 years and so mad I haven't tried sooner. WOW. Highly recommended!! Had vermicelli and lemon grass chicken bahn mi.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
Not a fancy 5 star. But definitely deserves 5 stars for quality of food reasonable prices and fast friendly service
google avatar

Keith B.

Yelp
Good vermicelli and quality ingredients. Always completed timely, we usually order takeout and pick it up once a week.

Yelp
Viet Kitchen serves up tasty Vietnamese food in a no nonsense, non-pretentious atmosphere. It's the perfect place for a tasty vermicelli noodle bowl, pho or noodle soup, and spring rolls (fresh or fried). I had the Pho Ga (Vietnamese chicken rice noodle soup), and it was off-the-chain. The pho broth was among the most authentic I've had!! If you order the pho, I think you'll be pleased. One final shout out goes to the staff. They were all super nice, very knowledgeable about the menu selections, and very attentive at all times. The bottom line = if you want authentic Vietnamese food and aren't worried about atmosphere, check this place out.

Yelp
always fresh and tasty! the restaurant is very calm and the people are very helpful. we love it a couple times a month!
google avatar

Madison A.

Yelp
Always a wonderful place to order take out or eat a nice meal there. Super friendly and the food is excellent. I love the chicken pho and the spring rolls are very tasty as well. Any time I am craving soup or spring rolls, this is my go-to for to-go! Very affordable and delicious. Best to avoid the delivery service fees, even when ordering take out that you plan to pick up yourself. A little insider info for you... Just call in directly to the restaurant and place your order over the phone. Do NOT use the internet platform (Uber Eats, maybe?) because you will be charged an extra "service" fee!

Yelp
#17. The Chargrilled Pork & Shrimp Vermicelli with Eggroll was awesome! Man sized portion! Will go back and get again for sure!

Yelp
While I was at work in Mandeville I needed a quick pit stop for lunch. Enter Viet kitchen in a little shopping center. Walking into the restaurant, I felt as if I was yelling across the hallway as the host area was in the back next to the kitchen. I walked to the back to order a banh mi neo nuong and a taro bubble tea. The taro bubble tea came out unblended but as a milk tea which was fine until the bubbles. The bubbles tasted overcooked and was not edible at times. The flavor was nice but was made from mainly powder. I received my banh mi and took it to go back to work. The banh mi itself was stiff and inedible. I was disappointed in the bread as the contents of the grill pork was beautiful. If they had a better baked bread or one that was fresh, the banh mi would have been pristine. Overall this is not the worst I have ever had, but a little bit of upgrades would help bring this place up.

Allie T.

Yelp
Best Pho I have ever eaten! We frequently get Viet kitchen to go and have never been disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
BEST PHO IVE EVER HAD. workers are very friendly!!! spring rolls are yummy and the egg rolls! highly recommend going here for Vietnamese.
google avatar

Anna F.

Yelp
Their charred pork vermicelli was very tasty. The pork was super flavorful and melted in my mouth. The chopped eggrolls were super flavorful and had a great texture. They gave me plenty of sauce to go with the Bun. Really filling. I wish that they had drained the noodles better though because they were more wet than sticky. Also adding more cilantro would be nice. Will be back though!

Yelp
It's really an overall good stop if you're in the mood for Vietnamese food. It's not over the top, yet it's palate pleasing just enough to consider eating here more than once.

Trang N.

Yelp
I was on the way of long driving, so excited to find a Vietnamese restaurant. Pho and noodle was horrible, chicken was stink and the broth was not right temperature.....I wish I could talk out loud to all the customers around that they were serving wrong perception about Vietnamese food. The name of Viet kitchen should be taken off.
google avatar

April A.

Yelp
This place is divine! I had no idea they had Boba /bubble tea !!!! I had that in Los Angeles and have not been able to find it anywhere until now!! Oh my Pho-ing word to your Mother! I got way too much food because I wanted to try several things, it was all delicious!

Chris T.

Yelp
Maybe not my favorite Vietnamese restaurant on the norrhshore but if I'm in that part of town and I got an itch for pho, It's the place to stop. The pho is good and I find their bahn mi are well dressed loaded. My only gripe is that my favorite Vietnamese dish, "bun Bo hue" is not on the menu.
google avatar

Teddrisa B.

Yelp
Great food and fast friendly service, what's not to love? I've come twice and they did not disappoint either time. Sorry no photos bc my family dug in immediately We've ordered the sweet chili wings, crispy egg roll, pho ga, Vietnamese fried rice , and the char grilled pork chop over vermicelli. All delicious.
google avatar

Couryhey R.

Yelp
We are ordered the rare beef pho, chicken wings, and beef vermicelli. All were amazing!

Yelp
Viet Kitchen is awesome! The Northshore has always had many great Thai restaurants, but never any Vietnamese places. It seems like we have finally caught up with the Southshore with several new places opening up in the past year. I've tried them all multiple times and I am happy to report that Viet Kitchen is my favorite. Food - Unlike many people who write reviews, I don't claim to be an expert on any cuisine. I do know what I like and Viet Kitchen cooks what I like. Pho - The broth is rich, complex and authentic. I could eat this broth alone or without any additional sauce. The addition of some siracha really sends it into the stratosphere. I've even ordered it several times through Menu Express and it was packed perfectly with the meat and fixings in one container and the broth in another. It was as good and fresh as if I had eaten in the restaurant. Not many foods stand up to the to-go process, but don't be afraid to order this one. Bahn mi - Dong Phuong baguettes are brought in from the east to make these perfect sandwiches. My favorite is the grilled pork, but they offer chicken and beef as well. Bun - If you are new to Vietnamese cuisine I recommend the pork and egroll bun. I particularly like theirs when they don't add cucumbers at my request. Cucumbers are awful and have no purpose in food. They are only good as pickles, but I digress. Spring rolls - even if you have some slang term for these rolls, their version is quite good. The peanut sauce they offer is the perfect dipping sauce so I'd order extra. Service - This is what earned their fifth star. The to-go process is stellar, but the people are equally great. One night after a 15 hour work day, I wanted some Pho and stopped in to pick up my food. I called from the parking lot so it wasn't ready and they were about to close. While there I was able to talk to some of the workers who explained the process behind making the Pho and how the owners would sometimes stay overnight if they ran out. I guess I never knew what a time intensive process that was and it made me appreciate the food that much more. In closing, if you're looking for Vietnamese in Mandeville, you should keep Viet Kitchen on speed dial.

Yelp
If you are a fanatic about excellent Vietnamese, by pass this spot. Went during lunch and they had two servers - sat down and was asked if I knew what I wanted to order. That's cool...I ordered the lemongrass chicken which came with a small bowl of pho. The "tell" for a great Vietnamese restaurant is their pho broth. This was cloudy, not clear, and was super salty so couldn't even taste flavor. The chicken was salty as well...guess chef got heavy handed with the salt. This is a simple place- ambience lacking and no alcohol. Too many other places that are way better.
google avatar

Isabel C.

Yelp
Viet kitchen has some really good pho, I have enjoyed each of the items thus far that I have had. While I have had better vermicelli bowls and banh mi their pho is amazing!

Long T.

Yelp
Not authentic Vietnamese restaurant , the coffee is not even taste right lol, Chinese runs this place . Would love a Chinese restaurant instead
google avatar

Carole D.

Yelp
Skip the $6.95 spring rolls. (You get 3 per order.) They are bland and have way too much lettuce. Go straight to the grilled chicken with lemon grass and rice. The dish was flavorful and just enough for lunch.
google avatar

Alan W.

Yelp
My go to spot for Vietnamese food. Best in the city! I order the #25 add egg which is simply delightful. If I'm feeling greedy I may order some egg rolls as well. The waitress Sharon is also the main reason i keep coming back. She is the life of the restaurant! Really nice lady.
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
The food are delicious! Will be back soon;)! . My fiancé loved their soup. He say is it the best soup he ever had . The waitress are friendly.
google avatar

Heather L.

Yelp
This place is like a hidden gem. The food is delicious! The pho is flavorful and comes in two sizes (small/large)! The vermicelli bowl, which I had today, was so good I couldn't stop eating. This place hasn't disappointed me in any way. The flavor will keep me coming back. If I lived in the area I would eat here multiple times a week. The sweet tea is always good and the waitresses are nice.
google avatar

Kimberly R.

Yelp
I love this place. I eat here at least once a week. It has the best pho in Mandeville. I get the veggie pho with tofu. It is under new management and they changed the broth...which is perfect. Very friendly service...they treat me great, as I always eat here alone.

Yelp
This place is nice. The pho was very yummy. I will definitely come back and tell all my friends.

Yelp
When I walked in to be honest I was not that hungry, the first thing I noticed was the bamboo shoot decor hanging above the booths, and the cleanliness providing a comforting Asian atmosphere. My server though I can't remember her name was both accommodating and courteous to me checking up often. For my starter I decided on the spring rolls which though pricy were quiet delicious most spring rolls are 3.95 these being 6.95 however they provided a decent amount of shrimp fresh vegetables and the spring rolls were HUGE and I got three of them worth the extra three dollars in my opinion. I had read about over priced food here however I was 100% happy with the amount of food I got for the price. For the main course which was only 3 dollars more than the appetizer, I went with the Vietnamese crepes which were a little underwhelming it was good the sauce that came on the side was great and the meat and vegetables inside were scrumptious. However the crepe it self was slightly flavorless and a little soggy still very good and a large amount of food for the price! The fresh Spicy sauce the have sitting on every table added just the flavor and kick I needed to make the crepe above average, still though I have had better Vietnamese crepes before. If you are looking for a quick lunch by yourself or maybe a first date this is a great place to go clean secluded and a good quantity of food for reasonable prices easy 4/5 and I feel like if I had tried the PHO there it would've earned the 5 I will definitely be back again to try it !

Yelp
This place is amazing! One of the best we've been to. Server was excellent. Prices good. Portions large. Fresh ingredients. Nice atmosphere. We will return for more. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Adrian O.

Yelp
Food was amazingly delicious! One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. I ordered a small pho and rice & porkchop and both was delicious that I almost finished it.

Marci G.

Yelp
My family's go-to spot for Pho. The food is always consistent and delicious. There is never a wait and the staff is very friendly and attentive.
google avatar

LaSandra S.

Yelp
We had chicken wings which were very good. Vietnamese fried rice which was a little bland. And we had the rare beef and brisket pho. Which was also bland. A good pho is all about the broth and this broth was just ok. The brisket was also tough. So for Pho in Mandeville stuck with KiKi's. Viet Kitchen gets 3 stars for decor chicken wings and service
google avatar

Nicholas D.

Yelp
Excellent gem of Mandeville. A staple of my family's routine. The #21 with white chicken is my personal favorite
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
We eat Vietnamese restaurants all over the area. This one is one to miss. The service is mediocre and the food is as well. The spring rolls were uneventful and the bahn mi and soups were not very complex. Try pho Saigon if you want better more authentic food on north shore
google avatar

Sun M.

Yelp
Do not get the Asian lady to wait on you. She's rude and ignores you. After being here for a hour waiting for our food it wasn't even ready. We wanted to cancel but she was yelling that it's coming out now.. still we waited for 10 more minutes. I'm thinking she forgot to put In Our order but she was very rude about the entire situation. There was another lady who cancelled her order, told the restaurant it was the worse customer service, she was rude and ignored her. We come here every week and I'll have to think twice about coming again. Total of a hour and 30 mins of being there. Wow!
google avatar

Ryan S.

Yelp
Viet Kitchen is good and very consistent. One of my favorite aspects is that the Pho orders come in two portions - large and small. The small portions are perfect for an average appetite with no leftovers. Contrast this to most other circumstances when you KNOW you will have half of the pho left (but it's never as good reheated. Taste-wise, the flavor is complex and savory. The spring rolls are also very good - a solid go-to appetizer. Service is always friendly and prompt. Food is generally served very quickly. Overall - This place does well for the price, location, and food genre. Perfect for quick sit down lunch. I've become something of a regular.

Cate K.

Yelp
I have eaten Vietnamese food all over the world and THIS IS THE BEST PLACE I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!!!! Prices are great and the food is amazing. I don't usually leave yelp reviews but i felt it was necessary to let people know this place knows what they are doing. You must eat here!
google avatar

Caroline F.

Yelp
This place is the BEST! I have never been a huge fan of Vietnamese cuisine but this place made me change my mind. Their Pho is always fresh, hot and perfectly seasoned. The wings are to die for! And the service is awesome. The prices are extremely reasonable as well. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for Vietnamese food!
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
So far, after trying them all this is going to be my #1 spot for Spring Rolls, Taro tea, and Pho. I really think they by far have the best quantity and value. It's always fun to have a spring roll for a midnight snack. They give 3, not the standard 2 rolls per person. They have the creamy fresh peanut sauce not the thin or clearer one some places serve to cut back on costs. The staff is genuine and very friendly. I will be back, probably once a week!
google avatar

Sonya S.

Yelp
This place just opened a week or 2 ago so I have to assume that the 5 star reviews from the other reviewers who have never reviewed anything else are in fact friends or family. I however, am neither. I love Vietnamese food and we were excited to see one opening so close to the house. $43 and a tummy ache later, I'm not so excited anymore. I will say that the staff was very nice and the food arrived quickly. The food- I started with the strawberry bubble shake ($3.95). It arrived and I was shocked to discover that it was actually literally strawberry quick milk (remember the can with the bunny on it?). Needless to say, it was gross. We then ordered fresh rolls ($5.95/3), and the fried rolls ($4.95/3). The fresh rolls were small and tasteless. The peanut sauce was just a little off, and the rolls were missing basil, cilantro, and cucumber.....that I could tell. They tasted like shrimp, iceberg lettuce, and noodles and nothing else. The fried rolls were ok, but again they were off. They tasted like a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese flavors. I swear I tasted cabbage. Weird. Next we ordered our main courses. My partner ordered the fried rice ($8.95), and I ordered the bun with pork/shrimp/rolls ($9.95). The fried rice had no flavor and was a mix of carrots/peas/baby shrimp/corn/chicken. Yes, corn. We are not sure but think this might be the frozen Trader Joes fried rice. It tasted salty, dry, and honestly yucky. My partner was not amused. My bun was small, and the pork was fatty and overdone. The shrimp (2 pieces), were small and over cooked. I made it through half and gave up. It is the worst bun I have ever had. The veggies included 3 small pieces of cucumber, some iceberg lettuce, a bit of shaved carrot and a sprig of cilantro. We definitely will not be back. If craving Vietnamese food, go to Kiki's pho Saigon on 190 in Mandeville, the food is so much better, and fresh!
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the day I went they must have been short of help. I was served literally cold egg rolls. Sent them back and received 2 warmer ones. I've had better. And I ordered the crepe based on the reviews put forth by people here on Yelp. And was also disappointed in that. I've never had one before, so I have nothing to compare to you, but I would not try it again. I would be willing to try this place on a day when it isn't so crowded and see if the food has better flavor.
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
Had all our favorite Vietnamese dishes, Goi Cuon, bun ton thit nuong, ban xao, pho tai. Perfect for a rainy day! They were open on a Sunday too.
google avatar

Claire S.

Yelp
The best Vietnamese Restuarant here in the Northshore I definitely recommend it to everyone who likes Asian food. Their iced coffee was the bomb!
google avatar

Brit S.

Yelp
Viet Kitchen has my soul, pho real. I found the broth flavorful and complex, plenty of noodles and add ins. I'm seeing not so stellar reviews though, so maybe we hit it on the right day.
google avatar

Ronald L.

Yelp
Friendly staff and good food! Was very excited to find there was a new Vietnamese place in town and right across the street from my work. The pho was awesome!
google avatar

Joann K.

Yelp
I really didn't think much of this restaurant, from the looks, and the fact that its located in a strip mall....but, i was suffering from a sinus infection, and my throat was killing me...and i just wanted some SOUP!! Well, I am soooo glad i decided to give Viet Kitchen a try. I love their Pho broth, its very rich, not oily..just an overall great flavor!!! Give them a try, and I promise you won't be disappointed and most likely will be a repeat customer!
