Favorite 🤩 i devoured the vermicelli bowl, wonderfully chopped dark green lettuce, cucumber, etc with beef. Fresh. Their Banh Mi is a wonderfully large portion and fresh bread! The beef is not overly sauced it was perfect. Loved our meal. Friendly hosts! We enjoyed natural hibiscus tea too she made for us and a perfect iced coffee.

Nice lil Pho shop. They do have Vegan Pho (in vegetable broth). Somewhat limited menu. Only one meat, one chicken, shrimp, or vegan option... but the food was 7.7 (out of 10) good, and the owner was very nice. 👍🏻 For the price, I would have wanted a higher quality and quantity of meat, but I do understand prices of everything are thru the roof right now. 😵‍💫 The shrimp spring rolls were fresh but no pork in them. I would want to try some other Pho in the area but would also come back to support this business owner as I feel she is a good person and a good owner. 👍🏻

Cutest restaurant name! My partner was craving some Pho and basically had to drag me in. Typically I’m not a big fan of Pho. I completely expected to have little to no options and be underwhelmed by any vegan offerings. I can gladly report I was wrong on every front. I ended up getting the vegan Pho and every slurp of noodles was enjoyable. The noodles have great texture, the vegetable broth is light but carries a lot of flavor, and they load you up on a ton of great veggies. I might have been converted to be someone who enjoys Pho, especially on a cold day! The staff here was wonderful in every single way. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Few places truly care so much about each and every customer. I’d highly recommend giving this place a try, especially if you’re vegan and craving a hot bowl of Pho!

Break out the pom poms and cheer for Viet Nom Nom! While the name is catchy, the food is even more enticing! Finally stopped by a few weeks ago and I was not disappointed at all! The staff was outgoing and answered all my questions succinctly! I had the Beef Pho which was flavorful and filling! Prices are reasonable too! Book your trip to Viet Nom Nom today!

This is a separate review just for their Thai Iced Tea. First time trying it and it’s amazingly tasty. Had it with their tofu rolls as a snack and it was fulfilling. Just tell them how sweet you want it and they’ll cater to you. My favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the city. 🤩

I ordered fried pork rolls and beef pho. The pho was outstanding. Just absolutely fantastic. Perfect for a cold evening. Everything was packaged with care. The food was fresh and flavorful and delicious. I will definitely try more things on the menu and I will definitely order the pho again. Delicious 😋.

Went with a couple of friends and we ALL enjoyed our food. The base for the pho was flavorful and didn’t need any additives but I added Hoisin sauce to mine. Definitely will go again

This is by far my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town. The staff is very friendly, warmly asking me if I were the first time being there. She explained the menu items in details and also explained how to customize my own Banh Mi hoagie or rice bowl. Eventually I tried meatball pho. It is delicious and generous in portion. The broth has a nice umami (savory) taste. The rice noodle is cooked just well, not overcooked. The meatball is a gem. It is chewy and juicy. It does not like the meatball used in Italian cuisine. The portion is huge; finishing one pho by myself is a bit challenging, though I did it. Would return for the Banh Mi hoagie!

I have sworn myself to this place when I am in town and every time I come back I am never disappointed in the food. They added limeade recently as well and it was different to me since I've never had it before but it was extremely refreshing and delicious after a hot summer day. Service was quick, efficient, and friendly. The restaurant is quiet and relaxing. The hum of the kitchen burners and faint music in the back makes it an amazing place to have lunch and talk with friends

Was a really good place! Staff was friendly and there were some people having a book club meeting which was fun! The food was delicious, and the pho broth stood out the most! The only critique I have is for the vermicelli bowl I would've like a little more toppings and a little less noodles.

It's OK, but not the best. The broth is good. The noodles are not flat pho. But more like a round noodle. They taste good though. My major complaint was with the beef. It was the right cut of beef; eye of round. But sliced way too thick so it was tough

Got there right when they opened and dined in!! I got the spicy shrimp pho and limeade and they both were delicious. They food was fresh and came out in a reasonable time. They shop was nice and service was nice. Would def go back!!

Fast service, average food. We stopped here for apps--fresh tofu spring rolls and fried veggie spring rolls --as part of a progressive dinner. They were both just ok. Although the price was reasonable, with so many other great eateries nearby, I'm not sure I would go here again.

We checked this place out again, and were just as impressed as our previous visit. The shrimp fresh roll was excellent, and the corresponding dipping sauce brought a great depth of flavor. I highly recommend getting some of the "Viet Nom Nom Sauce" on the side, though be warned that it's very spicy. They offer a very vegetable forward salad, but the cooked bok choy as an odd touch. The salad was still good, but I think the variant we received last time was better. We also ordered the tofu banh mi, and it was very well crafted. I particularly appreciated that they didn't skimp on the jalapeños for a nice bite. This time around, we also tried the spicy shrimp noodle soup: it was an excellent pescatarian option. The broth was flavorful and came with all the add-ins that you would expect for a pho dish. All told this was a great experience.

Yummy!!!!! Super casual spot to grab a quick lunch on a beautiful spring day. The custom vermicelli rice bowl was delicious (I chose lemongrass pork, cucs, bok choy, scallion oil, peanuts). Order at the counter and they'll bring you your order. We were lucky to snag the outside table!

Great experience checking out viet nom nom. A nice feature of their menu is the ability to create your own dishes so you can get exactly want you like. I tried the banh mi which was very big and filling! The ingredients were very fresh and the toasted bread was a nice touch. It was a good banh mi but nothing special. Service was fast and there is a good amount of seating.

Loved this place from the first moment, perfect vegan pho, and quiet and cosy and calm, with a lovely young man at the front. A few months ago a woman replaced him in that role. She plays loud radio, music, and and podcasts. The music or sound of Trump's voice fills the room. She really wanted me to know two things today: 1) She is not a Trump supporter. I believe what people tell me. But his voice filled the room, and a lot of us really, really don't want to hear his voice, and it can be emotionally triggering and physically painful, and 2) that I "always have a problem" when I asked her to turn it down. I had already realized that. I do always have a problem with the decibel level since she is at the front. I knew it wasn't fair to myself or to her that I should ever return. I had visited perhaps 3-4 times and each time was too loud for me. Her saying that repeatedly with a big smile to a customer who has been extremely apologetic felt unkind. The place is not going to be a quiet, calm, cosy oasis anymore with a gentle welcoming young man at the helm. I am light and noise sensitive. If you are not extremely sensitive in a sensory overwhelm/overstimulating environment like myself, then I am happy for you that you still get to enjoy some of the best Pho. I am going to miss it a lot. One star off for difficult personality, one star off for noise.

Food was good, good price for the amount of food! The woman at the register was so sweet but it's definitely a do it yourself place! Order at the register and then get your own chopsticks and hoisin sauce and stuff like that. Cute little place and so yum

Good food, good prices. A lot of take away business but they have seats to dine in. Basically they have banh mi, pho, rice and noodle with pork, chicken, tofu services with it and some desserts and drinks. We enjoyed everything.

Wow, lovely people, great prices, plentiful and delicious food -- what more could you want? Oh, it also came very fast :) We had beef pho, a honey chicken bahn mi, spring rolls, veggie rolls and a roast pork rice bowl. Everything was really yummy. The bahn mi was like a double portion--easily could have been two meals but I couldn't resist eating all of it :) The Vietnamese iced coffee also did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.

Viet No No! I don't know what to make of this restaurant. I was so excited to try their food, but I was just disappointed. I thought that the food would be more authentic and tasty, but it was just okay. This is a place where they have one price, essentially and you pick your protein, veggies and base.(E.g., Rice, vermicelli noodles or bread) My Banh Mi was just okay and the fresh shrimp rolls were just okay. Everything was just okay. And ultimately, that was the problem. Everything was just okay. There was nothing really special about this place. I was looking for a banh mi sandwich that was authentic with a pate and numerous pickled vegetables and succulent meat. My sandwich just didn't deliver. Too much bread to meat. The pork was underwhelming in flavor and not enough of it. And on top of that there was really not anything interesting to go along with my sandwich. For example, a Vietnamese inspired salad or side dish would have been wonderful to go along with the sandwiches served at Viet Nom Nom. However there was nothing of the sort. My sister Luch and my daughter, Muff ordered the rice bowls with honey chicken and so they were more satisfied with their meals. However, I just wasn't. I didn't want to just have broth to eat with my sandwich. The service was a little slow, but pleasant. This place in my opinion is just meh!

Stopped here today after a long day of meetings after I learned about it on Facebook earlier this week! I think they just opened on Monday! Menu is limited but has good choices. I ordered the banh mi with lemongrass beef and a ton of veggies. It's huge! It came on a traditional hoagie bun like you would get a steak sub or something on which I found a little odd- I guess I was expecting something like a pork bun but big, or atleast something softer? Maybe that was my mistake. Nonetheless, the sandwich was awesome. The beef was tender and I love love loved the lemongrass flavor. It definitely could have used more meat, though. They don't have pho on the base menu. You can order a noodle bowl and pay an extra $4 for broth which is also a little odd to me. Kinda pricy, cost me $20 for this sandwich after I added some extra veggies. Sandwich was great though and the woman working the counter was so sweet. I will definitely be back and wish them the best in this new venture!

I've been looking for a great Vietnamese place for take out and happy I finally found it! Great serving sizes and very fresh! called in to place my order and it was ready to go for pick up when I arrived

I love this place. I can never decide what to get when I stop in. It's hard to choose between their amazing food options. What I really enjoy about them is that they have so many protein options. I usually get their chicken either as a sandwich or as soup. They make ordering easy. The chicken on crispy bread is perfect! They might be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area. I actually live 2 blocks from a well known Vietnamese restaurant in Pittsburgh and drive to get food from here whenever I want a good meal.

Tasty food with great portion sizes. Had the Veggie Pho and the Bahn Mi - both were great tasting and shareable.

Good food and fast service, had tasty vegan options, would recommend. Spring rolls were of good size and lots of tofu which is nice.

My fiancé and I have driven past this restaurant several times and we finally decided to check it out. The restaurant has a small but cute interior with at least 10 tables and a view of the kitchen. The workers were very friendly and constantly asked if we needed anything. The food itself was excellent. I ordered the "build your own" with the honey chicken as my protein. The chicken had very nice flavor with a not overly sweet sauce. I also ordered the chili and scallion oils which I definitely believe kept the food from being dry and added a bunch of flavor. My fiancé ordered the "build your own" with tofu as their protein and added the tofu rolls on the side, both of which were excellent. For $15 the portion size is quite large and could definitely be saved for a second meal to take home. We will definitely be back again soon!

Fast casual Vietnamese place on Murray Avenue in squirrel Hill right near Forbes. They are swift and nice, and I like being able to customize my meal. However, my meal was disappointing because the roast pork was dried out over cooked strips... it might have been salvageable with extra sauce, if only I'd known I would need it.

My boyfriend and I placed a takeout order on a random weeknight recently. It was near closing time so I wasn't sure if their online ordering system would reflect what was actually available, but everything seemed to be updated and the entire process was smooth. I was greeted by the friendly owner and handed my bag when I arrived. The food felt hot and was packed securely for the ride home. We decided to sample the shrimp fresh rolls, the pork crispy rolls, lemongrass pork over rice with veggies, and honey chicken over vermicelli with veggies. I want to start by saying the portions were huge for the price. My boyfriend usually winds up finishing his and needing to "help" me with mine, however that was not the case this time. If you have a big appetite or are someone who likes to take your Viet leftovers in a bento box for a nice desk lunch the next day (me!) then this is the place for you. Of primary importance however are the menu options being well-executed, and Viet Nom Nom knocks it out of the park in this category. Shrimp fresh rolls can easily go wrong and taste a little off, but the ones we had were perfect. The honey chicken and lemongrass pork were extremely tasty, the chicken being a particular standout. We also both really appreciated the option to add more veggies to the rice/noodle dishes. Overall we had a really great first experience with Viet Nom Nom and fully expect to add it to our regular takeout rotation. Well done!

So good! Ordered ahead and picked this up tonight. The lemon grass beef was really flavorful and the portions of the protein and rice were generous. I got mint, cucumber, steamed bok choy and steamed broccoli as my veggies. It came with a delicious sauce and I also got the chili oil sauce that they make in house. Both sauces were super flavorful. The people were really nice too! Will definitely be coming back.

I just tried this brand new restaurant! I got vermicelli with lemongrass beef and a pork roll; my friend got the bahn mi with honey chicken and the chili sauce. My friend through the sandwich was amazing! The roll was a little out of place for Vietnamese food, but the chicken was extremely well seasoned and the sandwich was still really good. He said the chili sauce will give "ya a kick" but it's really flavorful and an amazing addition. I thought the Lemon grass beef was fantastically seasoned! I had never had food like this before and I like the concept. The owner was extremely sweet and kind. She is a great presence in the restaurant and added a personal feel to our experience even though we only picked up.

food was cold on half of box warm on the other. Also for $20 there are literally 5 other asian restaurants in the area twice as good

As a recent Pittsburgh transplant I have been looking for tasty options. Good service, quick and delicious. The portions are really big so if the cost is an issue keep that in mind.

Outstanding service and food. The concept is like Vietnamese Chipotle; choose starch, protein, and 4 toppings. Portions are very generous and everything is flavorful and fresh. The restaurant has a relaxing vibe and the owner is attentive and personable. This is our new go-to in Squirrel Hill.

Bahn me is fantastic! Finally, good bread found in Pittsburgh. Owner super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Okay so I was really excited to try this place bcuz I love a good banh mi and in Pittsburgh there's rather limited options. However, I truly couldn't get over the price hump of $17 for a banh mi. Especially when other Vietnamese restaurants in the area charge max ~$13 for an entree. Also paying the same price regardless of protein (tofu v beef) seemed a little odd. Anyways, I get the banh mi, and it's on a hoagie bun. Which again, odd, since I was expecting the traditional baguette. Overall I think that the hoagie bun being sweeter and not as crunchy as a traditional baguette detracted from the flavor and texture. I truly would give a higher rating but I just felt rather disappointed.
