Vieux Carré

Happy hour drinks are very reasonably priced. Staff is knowledgeable all around. The room sounds great and the sight lines are easy. It’s a fun space that hosts a variety of music. They had an eclectic beer list when we were there and the room wasn’t over crowded.

Excellent music. Food is delicious but expensive and small portions. Drinks are delicious but expensive. We left still hungry. They tried to automatically include cover charge on our bill, and for more people than we had in our group.

The atmosphere was great. Our waitress was prompt, personable and funny. The food was tasty. The evening band, The Southside Aces, were talented and humorous! Hence, the high star rating for overall experience. The reservation portion kept this from being a five star rating. Be sure even though leaving a message at the Vieux Carré phone number you specify the location, name of show and time slot. I left message for "tonight's show". The Dakota actually handles the reservation. They booked us for the Dakota location not Vieux Carré. Fortunately, when they told me my bill was $110 instead of $21.00 I realized the error. I will differently return.

This place is a hidden gem in the twin cities for people that appreciate music ... Good Lord I’ve come across some incredible music, super friendly staff, intimate settings, discovered some great indie bands & just plain had a great time! You’re missing out if you haven’t been here and you love live music especially jazz & blues

This is s great jazz club hidden in the lower level of the Hamm's building downtown St. Paul. The atmosphere is everything you'd want in a jazz club, the New Orleans style food is wonderful and the music has been top notch every time I've visited. Definitely worth the trip.

I just recently held my wedding reception at Vieux Carre and everything was absolutely amazing. Joe and Jeff took care of every detail and they even created a specialty cocktail for us that was perfect. I would definitely recommend booking a private event with them. I didn't have a chance to eat, but all my guests said the food was spectacular :)

Great hidden gem that we stumbled onto before seeing a show at the Palace Theater. Great food (smaller menu). Nice staff. Live music in a intimate setting.

Great spot for classy cocktails, food, and live music. Alex the bartender is amazing!
