"Vieux-Port may be one of the most expansive restaurants in its riverside neighbourhood (1,000 seats!), but doesn’t sacrifice quality for quantity. Beef and bison are at the forefront of the steak menu, combined with surf and turf options including lobster and crab." - JP Karwacki

Our group of 8 visited Sunday evening to cap off our F1 weekend. We were fairly disappointed overall. When I did my research before arriving I chose this spot for our group based on the menu that was provided online through their Google profile. When we arrived, they provided us with “F1 Grand Prix” weekend specialty menus. The menu items effectively looked the same but with minor changes but the prices were significantly higher than what we anticipated. Service was quite poor. We ordered two appetizers that were fine, not worth their price and did not take our appetizer plates away until our entrees arrived 45 minutes later. They didn’t take empty drinks away either despite asking us if we wanted a second round of drinks (so she knew they were empty). In addition to that, when our food arrived, half of our tables food was cold - not warm or lukewarm warm, cold. Our steaks were hot but the vegetables and our mash potatoes were cold. I also ordered some wild rice which was placed in a side dish, and that was $6.50 (if I remember correctly) and mildly warm as well - lacked a lot of flavour as well. They certainly take them from a warming tray and place them on the plate - I assume by the vast temperature difference that the vegetables were placed way too early and the steak was delayed. When we mentioned that they were cold, the waitress took the food and brought it back to the kitchen. Once back in front of us, it was relatively better. Waitress did apologize but that was it. Nothing was taken off the bill, and nothing else was provided to make up for that. Dessert was ok, nothing to scream for. For such a “Grand Prix” weekend, it was exceptionally poor on all fronts. Certainly won’t be going back. Only true positive was the steak was made perfectly. Cocktails were good. Overall, I would not recommend for the money you pay. Service and food does not meet the prices you pay.

The waitress was exceptionally good at providing outstanding service. The food was on point. Lydia ensured the food 😋 hit the spot. She was pleasant and kind always checking on our table. The atmosphere is more upscale. Not so much a place for children. There's a large variety of food to choice from that meets almost every foodie. I will definitely recommend it to anyone.

Had the chance to check out this reputable establishment in the beautiful old part of Montreal city. We must have caught them on an off busy night. Service was good. Asked for a few forgotten items, whiskey sour was terrible and the steak was away overcooked but tender escargot was nothing to write home about . The room(s) are beautiful with a mixture of modern and old classic brick and stone giving the atmosphere a very nice touch . I'd check it out again. Just when you're paying these prices I expect a little more attention to detail, Tourist season or not. I would give it a try one more time ☘️🤙

This steakhouse has become one of our go-to spots whenever we're in Montreal. The setting is lovely — the interior decor complements the charm of Old Montreal beautifully, and in the summer, the back patio is especially nice. With soft lighting in the evening, it feels both cozy and welcoming. The food has always been excellent, from appetizers to dessert. Every dish we’ve tried has been well-prepared and flavorful. The staff are friendly and attentive, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. It’s a place we keep coming back to — a reliable favorite for a good meal in a relaxed, comfortable setting.

Had an amazing dinner at Vieux Port Steakhouse. The steak was perfectly cooked tender, juicy, and flavorful. Service was incredible, friendly. The ambiance was cozy and upscale without being stiff. Great spot for a relaxed, high-quality night out. Will definitely be back!

Went there Grand Prix weekend and it was completely full. Luckily we had reservations and we were a group of 12. Food was excellent my steak was cooked to perfection! Like I said place was completely jammed and the vibe was awesome! Can’t say enough about the person serving us she knew about every single meal on that menu and I asked for her opinion and I’m glad I did! All in all very very good and highly recommend!

We had a fantastic experience at Vieux-Port Steakhouse in Old Montreal. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was charming and welcoming — especially if you’re lucky enough to grab a spot on their stunning patio. It’s the perfect blend of elegance and relaxed Old Montreal vibes, making it an ideal setting for a summer evening out. The food was excellent, especially the steaks — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor. You can tell they take their meat seriously here, and it shows in every bite. The sides complemented the mains well, and the overall presentation was on point. We also tried a few of their cocktails, and they were just as impressive. Great selection, well-balanced, and served with care. A special shoutout goes to our server, Nuha, who was truly exceptional. Friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive, she made sure we were taken care of throughout the evening. Her warm personality and great service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our night. Overall, Vieux-Port Steakhouse is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy a quality meal in a beautiful setting with top-tier service. Highly recommend if you’re in the area — whether you’re a local or just visiting Old Montreal.

My partner and I visited Vieux-Port Steakhouse with our baby and were pleasantly surprised by how family-friendly it was. There were several other babies and kids around, and we felt very welcome from the moment we walked in. No reservation was needed — we easily got a table and had the option to sit indoors or outdoors. The service was amazing. Staff were attentive and kind, making sure we were well taken care of. We were started off with fresh bread and butter. The restaurant’s interior is beautiful, but the outdoor seating truly stood out — the charming setting on Rue Saint-Paul elevates the experience. For food, my partner ordered the NY-style sirloin (medium) with lobster and a side of mac & cheese. I had the same steak (medium rare) with garlic spinach. The steaks were juicy and well-cooked, though not particularly memorable. My partner’s steak initially came out rare but the staff promptly reheated it. The lobster was our favorite part — tender and flavorful — but still not a standout. The garlic spinach was okay, but a bit bland for our taste, possibly because we’re more used to Asian-style prep. Overall, while the food didn’t blow us away, it was good, and the ambience, location, and excellent service make it a worthwhile experience — especially for a relaxed meal with family in Old Montreal.

Yelp
Making a reservation was a breeze, especially since it was one of the few steakhouses available in the area on the OpenTable app. Service was impeccable from the moment we arrived. We came at 2 PM, just in time for the tail end of lunch service and the start of their happy hour -- perfect timing to sample their bite-sized appetizers. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The Linguini au Homard Frais was rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked lobster, while the Filet de Saumon Grillé was grilled to perfection -- moist, flaky, and well-seasoned. From appetizers to dessert, every bite impressed. A must-try if you're in the area!

Yelp
Vieux-Port Steakhouse was a bit disappointing on the plate, but service and atmosphere were great. It is in the Old Montreal district near the piers and port which hints at its name. There are a number of great looking restaurants and shops on East Saint Paul Street and it seems this steakhouse has fallen into the tourist trap and there are reviews on YouTube that have embellished this steakhouse. It's a beautiful restaurant walking in and we were seated immediately, having arrived punctually for our reservation. We ordered a bottle of St.Emilion red at a decent value of $88 CAD. We also split an iceberg lettuce wedge salad that was a good start. The red wine and sharp cheese in the wedge salad paired nicely. The bread served was good and so was the butter, but nothing exceptional. I ordered the 16oz Cote de Boeuf medium rare and was anticipating a great steak, having my expectations raised about Montreal steak. It looked great on the plate, but the most noteworthy aspect of the steak was the disappointing quality of the cut of meat. It was tougher than expected and portions were not marbled with tender and flavorful fat, but more sinewy and chewy. It was not overcooked, should have been more tender and flavorful, and the quality did not show up on the plate for $69 CAD. The mashed potatoes and veggies, broccoli and carrots, were good and not disappointing. There are places of far lower profile delivering satisfaction above this level and often for less money. Vieux-Port is in a location with a lot of foot and tourist traffic. It's definitely a steakhouse on the map of culinary destinations of Montreal and this results in enhanced ratings in my estimation. Vieux-Port is owned by a company that owns a number of establishments in Montreal that further enhances its profile. For $131 CAD, one can spend their money better elsewhere for better value. Service is great here at Vieux-Port and ambiance is very nice. The wine was good and a good value, so there are a number of factors going for Vieux-Port. However, there are a number of places in Montreal where you will experience greater satisfaction for less money. 3.5 stars

Yelp
My wife and I are in Montreal as part of a recreation of our honeymoon 40 years ago (Nova Scotia, Montreal, Quebec). We wanted one more upscale meal while in Montreal and Vieux Port Steakhouse did not disappoint. We were welcomed at the host stand and offered a table outside with a great "people watching" view of Rue Saint Paul. We were then greeted by Elise who brought us our water and bread (delicious) before our server Elias came to introduce himself. All of the staff were pleasant, welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. We started by ordering drinks (a local IPA for me and a Sauvignon Blanc for my wife) and the calamari as an appetizer. My IPA was delicious but my wife didn't care for her wine. No worries, the service team quickly replaced it with a different selection that she absolutely loved. We both ordered the boneless ribeye steak (rare). The steaks came as ordered, nicely plated with a pairing of creamy mashed potatoes, broccoli and carrots. All were cooked to perfection and came at the right temperature for each item. Elias and Elise checked on us several times, Elias took a beautiful picture of us to commemorate our visit and after we finished dinner the restaurant treated us to their homemade chocolate mousse cake to celebrate our anniversary. Delicious and such a nice touch. I explored the inside of the restaurant and it was beautifully decorated and the tables were nicely spaced out (no sitting on top of other guests like other restaurants we've visited). We leave today for Quebec but if we were still in Montreal we would not hesitate to dine here again. If you're in Old Montreal, you should, too! Job well done!

Yelp
My boyfriend's quote was "It was right out of a movie." We had a reservation and when we booked they said there was no outside seating available, but that was ok. When we arrived, we got lucky and they had a table outside on the street. The Montreal weather was beautiful so we were so happy! The service was polite and attentive. We got the pork chop, lamb chops, lobster bisque, wine, caesar salad, and chocolate mousse pie! All delicious. A street musician played the whole time and it was such a pleasant experience!

Yelp
Nice steakhouse in touristy Old Montreal. Their menu is complete with the usual steakhouse fare, including a nice range of appetizers and seafood entrees if you aren't feeling like ordering a hunk of red meat. Pretty nice wine and cocktail list as well. I actually came between meals, so opted for the escargots au gratin appetizer along with some wine. The escargot was good -- snails covered in lots of melted cheese, how can you go wrong? The merlot was also excellent. The venue has an expansive outdoor patio facing the street, which makes for pleasant seating when the weather is cooperating. It wouldn't be a steakhouse without bumping up those menu prices...certainly not the most affordable option, but to be expected in this part of town, I suppose.

Yelp
I've dined at Vieux-Port Steakhouse a handful of times over the years and I'm saddened to say the service and food quality has dropped precipitously. Every trip to Montreal in the past, including this summer, I've had this restaurant on the itinerary, but it will be notably absent the next trip. For starters, our server failed to offer us bread and butter even though every table around us had such. Secondly, the waiter not once checked on us after delivering our meals. Most importantly, and the coup de grace, the food was awful. I could have gotten better food at McDonalds around the corner. I'm afraid the popularity of this restaurant has turned it into the usual tourist trap, and me and my friends won't be "trapped" here anymore until we hear of a re-emphasis on service and most importantly food commensurate with the pricing and palate expectations.

Greg E.

Yelp
The service and ambiance were great. We had a table upstairs and it was not too loud. The staff was professional and friendly. The food was good but not the best I've had in Montreal. The oysters were fresh and lobster was lovely too.

Yelp
Stopped by this popular Old Port restaurant for Happening Gourmand specials for the month of March (C$49 for a choice of app, entree, dessert based on their limited menu). I got a beer to start (C$9). Then chose the iceberg lettuce with bacon, sirloin steak 7oz with fries and the creme brulee. Everything was average at best but can't argue with the price/value Restaurant is large especially upstairs. Was told in the summer, there are outdoor service/terrasses. Service is fine especially of a restaurant of this type. Dark mood.

Yelp
Food is quite tasty. We ordered the garden salad, the cod, and a steak. Everything was cooked and presently perfectly. As far as steakhouses go, I felt that this establishment was on the pricier side for what we got. We also arrived early in the evening with a reservation and were sat right next to another couple when so many other seats were available so it was a bit odd. The waitstaff also sort of rush you through the meal. With drinks dinner and dessert I think we wrapped up in an hour or less, and I thought it was going to be more time to enjoy the restaurant. Overall I think it's a nice steakhouse but just isn't the best one around. Again- food is delicious!

Yelp
The food was okay. For a steakhouse, I expected better steak tbh. The Rib steak didn't come with any bone, which I wish it did, because I love the meat off the bone. Theobster was fantastic though! We got a 1.5lb lobster and it came out sooo tender and buttery. Would definitely recommend this for anyone that loves lobster. Our waitress was super nice, but the service did take a while. Our reservation was at 9pm, but we didn't leave until 11pm because the service took so long. Everything else about the restaurant was good. Can't complain there. It's one of the better priced steakhouses, and for the value it makes sense.

Yelp
Surprisingly big place but has lots of nooks. Service from Simon was excellent. Ambiance is very good. Time was excellent not the most expensive Grand vin de Bordeaux. Food was solid: bacon wrapped filet and ny strip. A very pleasant evening.

Yelp
Last night in Montreal and with a full day of walking - I built up quite an appetite and steak was on my mind. After glancing at the menu, I loved the vibe of sitting outside in the nice summer air and the gentle wind flowing through, I knew I had to choose this place. The hostess was kind enough to let me sit in the outside seating area and shortly after a server came out with my water. My waiter stopped and took my drink order. Awhile later, unfortunately, while serving another table their beverages, I heard a crash and there was a bit of an accident with my beer. I'm sure he was upset with himself but, I assured him, when he came to apologize, that I was on vacation and it's ok. Not too long after my drinks arrived and I placed my order. I started with the Burrata salad. So simplistic and yet so good. I eat this dish often and I liked that the plate was seasoned well with a nice ratio of olive oil to balsamic and a drizzle of a basil dressing. Even the tomatoes were cut just right and was not overly ripe which can become to soft and mushy. The mozzarella was perfect and creamy when I cut into it. I had the NY strip as my main dish and that was the star of my evening. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, seasoned nicely 8 wanted to tell the waiter to hug the chef. There was such a good vibe this evening. Having some good food with good drinks and just enjoying the perfect weather while people watching. One could not ask for more. I should mention they do take reservations but, in my case, they also take walk ins. I hope you give this place a try and have a great experience too. Njoy!

Yelp
I reserved Vieux-Port Steakhouse about a month in advance for my business party of 7. This was a smart move and I advise you to do the same if in a similar situation. We ordered salmon tartare and the poutine for an appetizer. The poutine was the best I had in Montreal! Between the 7 of us we ordered a variety of salmon, steak, salads, and chicken. Everyone loved their meal! I chose the salmon and was not disappointed. Highly recommend if you are trying to decide what to order. The service was great and we were seated on the patio, which was a cool atmosphere. Wish I would have had another chance to dine here again!

Yelp
We walked past this restaurant after eating dinner and the deliciously amazing aroma made my mouth water! We decided to make reservations for the next day! So glad we did! Beautiful ambience! Delicious cuisine! Great service!

Yelp
Recommended by our hotel. it was very good. Split a wedge and NY Strip with baked potato. The steak was cooked perfectly. We finished with Creme Brullie and a capachino, perfect ending to a perfect day. Service was attentive.

Yelp
My husband made reservations on Open Table for my birthday here in advance of our trip. The outside is a picture perfect place with beautiful flowers on the building. The inside is elegant and the waiters were attentive. Most people were dressed pretty casual in spite of the fancy decor. We started our meal by ordering a bottle of wine. It was served chilled by our table. My husband had the pork lion with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. I ordered the filet mignon and lobster with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. After our meal they brought out a slice of chocolate mousse and said happy anniversary. We went with it even though he told them it was my birthday. It was nice that they served it. I sampled the mouse but didn't eat the crust since it wasn't gf. It was a nice place for a special event

Yelp
Food was great. Love the fish salmon with white sauce. Cooked to perfection. The meat was so tender not overcooked. The rice pilaf and green beans were tasty . Needed more color on my plate like carrots or broccollini The crab cake was excellent. Really tasted the crab meat. The dessert 3 layers chocolate mousse wow. My husband got the steak it was good. Overall it was a hreat dinner in a fancy restaurant. Service was quick. Ambiance very Nice decor and open space.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal here. We were in town just for the day. After wandering around in the cold, we were happy to find a place that would seat us for dinner. I know there are a lot of special and epic dining options in Montreal... so I want to be clear.... I wouldn't put it in THAT category. But for a decent steak place, we liked it very much. Our steaks were well prepared. Our sides were also quite tasty. We both got the multi-course price fixed meal and it was a decent value with good options. The only minor ding was on service. Our waiter was friendly but I don't know if he just had too many tables (they weren't super full or anything) but we had to ask for more water, remind them to bring us bread...little things like this. But it was good. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. The creme brûlée was a particular stand out!

James B.

Yelp
My expectations were not very high for a restaurant in the heart of tourist zone. Happily my expectations were exceeded. The food was tasty and fresh. I would eat here again except for all the other choices nearby. The staff seemed to operate on some sort of zone coverage with multiple different people taking care of us through the 90 minutes we were there. As a result they were a little unsure of our status throughout the meal. We sat outside and people watched the entire time.

A. W. D.

Yelp
Terrible dried overdone overpriced McDonalds burger. In fact McDonalds burgers are better. Service was good. Ambience was average.

Stacy C.

Yelp
We had a reservation for four and asked to sit near a window. The room was lined with two seater tables along the windows. They sat us as close to a window as possible. The very next party that came in to be seated was a party of two. They sat them right next to us and at the window. There were at least 5 other two seater options along the windows across the entire room that were empty but they put them right ontop of us. We could no longer look out the window and we heard this couples entire conversation. Completely awkward and unnecessary. The food was mediocre. I have had far better steak at chain restaurants. The service was good but obviously they are asking for tables to be seated on-top of each other to make service easier. The wine was good. The ambience was wonderful. Real potential for a nice dining experience. Overall I would not go back. They ruined it with the seating and the food didn't make it worth the awkwardness of basically sitting with people we didn't know.

Yelp
Incredible service and delicious food and drinks! I love love, love the actual building decor!!! Kassi is an incredible bartener/waitress! Very welcoming

David R.

Yelp
My first night in Montreal, I ate dinner here. We were sitting on the patio in back. The atmosphere was very nice and the food was delicious. The service was great. I enjoyed the escargots, Filet Mignon & Lobster and for dessert the Flambee au Grand Marnier. The lobster was a bit dry but everything else was good. The Flambee was a great finish to the meal.
google avatar

Courtney J.

Yelp
We came here on our last night in Montreal for dinner. It is very busy, so I recommend a reservation, but don't let this worry you because the service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. For how busy it was, they really get your food out quickly. Our food was pretty good, especially our desserts! I had the chocolate mousse cake and it was amazing. We sat outside and it was a very pleasant environment. A little noisy but we could still talk and understand each other just fine. If the weather is nice, definitely eat outside.

Yelp
We are visiting Montreal from Boise, Idaho. We have never had such a great experiences. Kassi and Sebastian gave us this evening. I highly recommend sitting in the bar with these two fine & fun people! They are dedicated to service and ensuring a wonderful experience! This restaurant is very lucky to have two employees this dedicated!

Yelp
Not so good. The best thing about our meal was the waitress and a great window side table with a view She was very sweet, kind and helpful. It all went downhill from there. My onion soup was fair with a small amount of melted/burnt cheese enough to cover a small slice of bread but no more. The soup was nothing special. I had a crabcake which was cold and tasteless with hardly a trace of crab in it. My husband's ribeye was not 16 ounces extremely thin and disappointing. I think it just gets the overflow from the Keg next door. It would be best to just make reservations at the Keg steakhouse for a better meal

Yelp
Prolly one of the best steaks I have ever had. Waiter said it was Canadian beef. There was a choice of seating indoor or in the back there was an outdoor patio. We chose the outdoor seating since it was a beautiful day. I had the New York steak with shrimp and the Mrs had the Lobster Linguini. Both meals cooked perfectly, wine recommendation was also perfect. For the dessert I chose the carrot cake and the Mrs had the Dutch Apple Pie. Get the Dutch Apple Pie - warm and luxurious, almost soggy but you will love it. Service was attentive. They do have specials on the weekend during brunch time. If you never had a perfect steak come try this gem of a steakhouse.

Markus P.

Yelp
The place has a lot of charm. The waiters are very forthcoming and the food was quickly served. The meat was well prepared and cooked to perfection (although they forgot to ask the doneness in one case). Tasty sauces and delicious fries. The Italian wine (LE VOLTE DELL'ORNELLAIA) was a lovely pairing. Overall we can recommend the restaurant.
google avatar

Tony A.

Yelp
The food was cooked beautifully. A busy Friday night and service was on point. One of the people with us ordered the calamari. It was cooked to perfection. An extra 30 seconds in the fryer and we would have had rubber. 30 seconds less and you would have had mush. Loved it.

Yelp
Very nice outdoor seating area. I had the surf and turf my daughter had the bone in steak. The food was ok. Nothing stood out. There are so many wonderful restaurants in Montreal that unfortunately ok isn't enough.

Yelp
It's good but doesn't stand out as do some Old Port Restaurants. It didn't blow me away. Service was a little slow for a min busy afternoon. They should serve bread rolls or something. The medium steak was more well done than medium. I had filet mignon with shrimp. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. It's a good choice for real food before 4:00. It's not as good as Gibbeys but less expensive. They have some interesting combinations of cocktails, but I just had a beer, more Canadian ha ha.

Yelp
Good food. Great service. Great location. Let me explain. My family and I were visiting Montreal as a stop on our annual roadtrip. We decided to walk around the town to discover it. We stumbled across Vieux-Port Steakhouse, which immediately pleased us. It felt like we were transported to a European Steakhouse. Quickly, we were seated by hosts who spoke both French and English, as of many of the Montreal citizens. There were stone walls, rustic wooden floors, and a warm, dim light which brightened the entire space. They gave us menus, which were printed in both English and French, similarly to the kids menu. We were easily able to choose our food items, drinks, and appetizers. Unfortunately, there was not gluten free bread for my sister, who is celiac, however, the glutinous bread was delicious. Our server, Clement, was quick to ask for our drink orders. I just ordered water, but my sister ordered what she said was "The best Shirley Temple ever!" Soon after, we ordered our meal. I chose the salmon and the side salad, which were delicious together! They also had steaks and other seafood on the menu. My salmon was brought out with rice and carrots, which added to the flavor profile. I would recommend sharing it, though, because it was a large cut of fish! After practically inhaling my meal, with the help of my mom, we were asked by Clement if we would like dessert. My sister got the delicious Crème Brûlée, which was the only gluten free dessert. My older sister ordered the red velvet, and my parents ordered the carrot cake. I am not much of a dessert person, but I absolutely loved the carrot cake! The dessert menu also had an apple pie, that looked very good! Similarly to the main course, these sugary dishes were devoured. In summary, Vieux-Port Steakhouse serves delicious food in a beautiful decorated building that takes you to Europe. It is very tourist friendly, with English-speaking servers and English menus. They offer some gluten free desserts and main dishes. I highly recommend if you are in the area and are looking for a European-style steakhouse. Special thank you to server Clement who really gave us an excellent experience! Visit Vieux-Port Steakhouse in Montreal! Follow for more reviews!

Yelp
Service people were pleasant but inattentive. Any type of food or app or anything took forever to come out with bare minimum check ins. Inattentive to bread and water needs. Food wise, it was solid. The filet mignon was in point. Not many veggies were given with the steak but the steak made up for it. The French onion soup was either the best or second best I've ever had.

Yelp
The waiter was nice. But the food was mediocre to bad. And that is before you consider the price. The lobster hadn't been properly cleaned and was rubbery. The steak was mediocre at best. At a table of 6 no one was particularly happy with their food or finished it. The best part was the mash potatoes and even those weren't great. Go elsewhere.

Steak as good, don't get the lobster, there was no taste in the tail, and they did not give you any tools to break open the claw. Other than the lobster issue, service was slow, nice to sit with friends and family, but 3 hours for dinner, is a bit much. The ambience was nice felt like old town for sure.

Yelp
Man did I enjoy this restaurant that was referred to me and some friends by the Conceirge of our hotel. The waiter, Elias, was charming and friendly. He recommended so top choices and was near for our every need. I had the lamb, medium well, mash potatoes, grilled shrimp and garlic shrimp. DELISH! I ordered the apple pie for dessert and it was just ok. The meal however was a wonderful!

Yelp
This place we stopped at for a nice lunch. We were taken by surprise at how great the food and service was as well. It's a gem of a place.

Yelp
Really can't give it a full review beacuse we went for the crab cake and dessert. Part of a 3 restaurant crawl. The crab cake was coated completely like it was processed. The desert was ok. Nothing to write home about. Nice decor. Drinks were good.

Yelp
First time visiting this restaurant and it will be the last. Terrible service. A few examples...Asked for bread and after 30 minutes we had to ask again. The server kept disappearing. We asked for pepper when our salads arrived but we were handed a pepper shaker when there were 3 lovely tall pepper mills right at the server station. We ended up getting up to fetch it ourselves. When the main course arrived our appetizer plates had yet to be cleared from the table...and it wasn't because the main course came out fast! Every single steak that was ordered wasn't cooked as requested. A rare steak came as well done! Terrible outcome for a steakhouse! A few of us had ordered off the Table d'Hôte and the waiter asked for our desert selection as we were ordering our main meal. As predicted the waiter came out later with deserts for the people who had ordered off the Table d'hôte and never offered desert to anyone else. We weren't even offered coffee either. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place. It was a beautiful interior and nice ambiance but it's north worth the money for such terrible service and badly cooked steaks. Go next door to the American chain restaurant where they offer the same pricey food but much better service.

Yelp
This was okay. Food was good. Service was good. Food came out within minutes of ordering it. Even before we got our drinks. Okay won't go again, but it was good.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Food quality from the drinks to the appetizers and to the dinner itself was phenomenal. The service was exceptional. I got the 7 oz NY sirloin and was cooked to my liking. The mash potatoes were creamy and delicious. I personally do not live in Montreal but if I did I would definitely come back to this restaurant. Definitely recommend if you are staying at Montreal for a few days.

Yelp
The wife and I have been continuing our "who cares" tour where we just enter places and see what they have to offer. We came across this steakhouse in old Montreal and it met expectations. The Lobster Bisque and Calamari were delicious. We decided to hold off on the steak to be able to fit in dinner later in the evening. Our espresso martinis were delicious! A little pricey however everyone was kind and service was good. Quiet area that I can see being very fancy for dinner.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at this restaurant this evening. The food and service were great. Try get Jimmy as your server. He is on the ball. Serving sizes were good, not huge, and served hot

Yelp
The food was mediocre. Atmosphere at the time sucked. Too expensive for what you get. The kitchen in my opinion are phoning it in.

Yelp
Not worth your time if you're looking for fine dining go to butterfly or Monarque for good food and cocktails.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service was very tentative. The older gentleman give us a lot of recommendations. Their trio special was definitely worthwhile to try, its bison, elk, and deer very wild game.
