18 Waterfront Restaurants in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Open for lunch and dinner, the restaurant’s most dramatic patio views come at sunset and can be enjoyed anytime of year, even during cooler temperatures, thanks to heat lamps. The menu spans seafood to steak as well as pasta." - darlene-horn

This was amazing. My brother comes here regularly and I am in town visiting. The Calamari was amazing, perfectly cooked, delivered fast, and the best I have ever had. We ordered the gnocchi, the same, the best I have ever had. Pappardelle con Funghi e Capesante was fabulous, scallops cooked perfectly. Cappellacci di Manzo was so tender, fresh, and delicious! Penne alla Vodka con Porcini was amazing and delicious. Thank you for a fabulous meal. We will be enjoying the leftovers all weekend!!

While visiting family in the area, they were excited to take us to Vigilucci’s — and it did not disappoint! The service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. While we had hoped to sit outside and enjoy the sunset, we were lucky to grab a table indoors without a reservation. They’re currently expanding their outdoor seating, which will be a great addition. Food and drinks are on the pricier side, but worth every penny. The spaghetti with meatballs was mouthwatering, and the mushroom risotto was equally impressive. If we lived nearby, this would definitely be one of our go-to spots!

Google
Best Italian restaurant in the area hands down. Authentic, delicious food perfectly prepared and presented every time. We ordered several appetizers and all shared several entres and desserts, and everything was stunningly good (Hint get the gnocchi as an appetizer). The service was fantastic, exactly what you would want from a nicer restaurant. We were lucky enough to even have a server from Italy and she was very patient with my novice Italian language skills. The food and drinks can be a bit pricey for some, but it is absolutely worth every penny. You pay for quality and ambiance and that is exactly what you get from Vigilucci's. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I enjoyed a nice dinner here, sitting outside during sunset. Service was very good and prompt. We both enjoyed seafood dishes and an appetizer along with some wine. My husband had the Chilean Sea bass which was cooked perfectly, however the lentils that were included on the plate with it were too overpowering for the dish. I had a variety of seafood which was pretty good. Overall, we both liked our food but agreed that it wasn’t $200 worth.

Nikita was an amazing server. Her knowledge of the menu was very helpful. The food was decadent and by far some of the best we’ve ever had. We had the prime filet and prime ribeye was so tender the pasta and vegetables were outstanding. The tiramisu was delicious!

Came here for the 1st time and everything was AMAZING!!!! All the way down to the location. Go down park on the Beach pay the $10 bucks & Make a day of it.Surf & Turf with salad instead of Carbs. Chilean Sea Bass cooked to PERFECTION:) Highly recommended that dish and I'm not a fish lover.Had a tent across the street 4 min walk and had a little night cap to bring in the sunset....Ty Vigilucci Seafood & Steakhouse for a Wonderful meal & experience for our 1st time in Carlsbad

Google
"Wow, just wow. We went to Vigilucci's while we were visiting family, and it was an amazing dining experience. From the moment we walked, the ambience was elevated. The food? Forget about it. I had the risotto, which is gluten free, and it was clear it was homemade – like, seriously delicious. My son went for a steak, and it came out very undercooked so we unfortunately had to send it back. My husband had the sea scallops and raved about it all night. The view? Wow again. We timed it perfectly for sunset, and watching the sun dip into the ocean while we ate was just magical. It wasn't stuffy or anything, even though it's clearly a fancy place. It just felt…comfortable and celebratory. You can tell they really care about the little things, like how the table was set and how attentive our server was. I also heard they're adding a new patio next year with even better ocean views, as if it could get any better. If you're looking for a place to make a special memory, or just want an amazing meal with a killer view, you HAVE to try Vigilucci's!

We enjoyed happy hour at this great restaurant by the Ocean. Staff was attentive, drinks were amazing and the food very tasty. Beautiful and full of flavor. I highly recommend.

Yelp
First time here despite knowing about this restaurant for years. Made a reservation for 4 for dinner. There is valet parking behind the restaurant for $9. Otherwise, you can park around the restaurant on different streets over in the neighborhood. It is pretty dark at night, and even if you sit out on the patio or inside the restaurant by the window, you won't be able to see the ocean. The outside patio has heat lamps also. We were seated pretty promptly and our server was really nice and welcoming. It was pretty busy for dinner. The Portofino was pretty good, ans the pasta was cooked well. The surf and turf option (ribeye) was huge, as it also comes with sides. You can add a lobster tail for an additional cost. The portions were pretty big. Expensive but I anticipated the costs for a restaurant like this. The service was great and the food we ordered all tasted great.

Yelp
Our most recent visit to this Vigilucci's was a celebration with out-of-town family, Everything was just right. The food was magnificent. The service was impeccable They had no problem with the several boisterous young children in our group. Not an hour ago, my wife asked me to phone them to ask if we could buy meatballs to take out. I didn't. But their meatballs are epic. There is a busy road between the restaurant and the ocean, and after sunset you can't really see the ocean, but in spite of that, it feels like a fancy sea-side place. Their prices weren't as bad as other reviewers suggest, and given everything, I think the prices were quite fair. One time when we went here for my wife's birthday they put a candle in a cannoli to note the occasion. She normally wouldn't eat cannoli ("too caloric") but she ate most of that one. Her 4-year-old grandson snagged a big piece when she wan't paying attention. The valet parking lot is not huge, but we got there early enough that we were given a space. If the valet lot is full there is street parking here and there, but you might have to walk a bit.

Yelp
Vigiluccis is a special occasion spot as it's on the pricey end. There's a parking lot where they valet otherwise residential parking is around the area. Staff were just okay but not super attentive. I liked how you could see the ocean in specific seats which added to a nice ambiance. The food portions and overall taste was good. Seafood tower: There were really good sauces and offerings but it was pricey given how little seafood there was. short rib risotto (special): Kind of one note in flavor but the coffee crusted short rib was tender and delicious. Pollo alla parmigiana (chicken parm): big portion of chicken parm with a nice spicy garlic side of pasta. Truffle gnocchi: really soft and the truffle is subtle but delicious. Heavy on the cream and cheese so good for sharing. Bread pudding (special): Really good bread pudding that wasn't too soft or hard. The nuts on top were really nice and added a good crunch. Tiramisu: nothing special but good tiramisu.

Yelp
We usually go to this Vigilucci's location when we're craving a fancy meal, and while it's a little pricey, it's consistently worth it. We came here recently to celebrate my husband's birthday, which I mentioned to the staff ahead of time. I got my usual--the hat-shaped pasta filled with beef and smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce. It was absolutely delicious but so rich I couldn't finish it. My husband got the ragu with gluten-free pasta, which was also excellent, and we shared the carpaccio, a favorite of ours that we get every time. The food was as great as always, but I was a little disappointed that they didn't do anything special for my husband's birthday. A couple of nearby tables celebrating birthdays received surprise desserts, but we didn't, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it would have been nice to have that extra touch for the occasion.

Yelp
Our lunch at Vigilucci's Restaurant Group was easily one of the best dining experiences we've had. We started with a dozen oysters, which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. For the main course, we enjoyed a perfectly cooked ribeye steak with fettuccini and a succulent lobster tail. Every dish was spot-on, and the combination of flavors was fantastic. What really made the meal special was our waiter, Ariel. He recommended everything, and his suggestions were perfect. He was attentive without hovering and made sure we had everything we needed. It's rare to find such genuine, thoughtful service these days, and Ariel truly exceeded our expectations. Even though we're only in town for a week, we're already hoping to make time to come back before we leave. The food was amazing, the service outstanding, and the entire experience left us wanting more. If you're looking for an exceptional lunch or dinner spot, Vigilucci's is a must!

Yelp
Came for lunch with a group of friends (other Elites) quite some time ago and these poor photos have been sitting in my camera roll. Not posting the menu because it's changed since my visit. Food and service were okay. Bit pricey than I would normally like to pay.

Yelp
Vigilucci's is a very relaxed eatery serving Italian inspired steak & seafood. This lovely restaurant is located right across from the Pacific Ocean so you're graced with incredible views. Their menu features prime steaks, & the freshest seafoods and of course housemade pasta With a great attentive staff, and along with the lovely ambiance & beautiful views, you're in for a treat at this wonderful restaurant. Spaghetti e Polpette Homemade meatballs braised in delicious tomato sauce served on a bed of spaghetti Tagliatelle all's Bolognese Delicious Ravi blend of beef, veal & pork topped with fresh Parmigiano & Pecorino Romano Thank you Vigilucci's for a lovely dining experience.

Yelp
I absolutely love this Vigilucci's. The view is gorgeous. The food is always delicious and we got to meet and speak with the chef. Her red velvet cake was incredible. Days night dinner done right. We have told co-workers, bosses, friends and family and they all love it just as much as we do. Thank you again Vigilucci's Seafood & Steakhouse, job well done.

Yelp
Perfect date night on the patio! The service was on point and the food was delicious! Also cannot complain about the view from the patio. Only thing to note is if you don't want to find street parking, there is a small valet parking lot and it is $9.
google avatar

Yelp
Come here for the overall vibes. Location is great, next to the beach and wonderful to sit if you are watching the sunset. Inside seating is a bit small, but again beach location. We opted for valet parking option ($9). Service was excellent and super accommodating for a new family. What we got: - ‍Fritto di Calamari e Gamberetti (5/5): Super crispy calamari and shrimp, without it being too overwhelming. Was surprised at how large the proportions were for this. Great to order to share. - Choice Ribeye (5/5): Got the upgrade to truffle fries. Normally we don't really eat much steak, so this is certainly a treat. Seasoned perfectly and super juicy inside. Fries were also great and tasted like it was just fried. - Pappardelle con Funghi e Capesante (5/5): Loved the scallops and the sauce. The pasta held the sauce quite well. - Espresso Martini (5/5): A treat! We saw everyone around us order this. We can see why! Perfect restaurant for a special occasion.

Yelp
Vigilucci's Seafood and Steak in Carlsbad is one of those rare gems that makes any visit feel special. The location is fantastic, offering beautiful views and a cozy, upscale atmosphere. While parking can be a bit challenging at times, it's definitely worth the effort once you step inside. The food here is consistently on point--whether you're craving perfectly cooked steak or fresh seafood, you can't go wrong. The menu offers a variety of delicious options that will impress any palate. However, what really makes this place shine is the outstanding service. We had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and being waited on by Phil. Simply put, he is phenomenal! Phil is not only attentive but also highly knowledgeable about both the menu and cocktails. His recommendations were spot on, and his professionalism and warmth truly made our night. Phil is a staple at Vigilucci's, and it's easy to see why regulars keep coming back. If you're looking for a great dining experience with top-notch service, I can't recommend Vigilucci's enough!

Yelp
Pro Location Food Con - Wait staff Some food offerings We decided to try this restaurant based on its view. It's apparent it needs a bit updating and our server was not friendly. We felt as if we were an inconvenience.

Yelp
What a phenomenal experience! The service was excellent, the food absolutely incredible and ambience was so pleasant (minus the very loud table of patrons right next to us). We had the Caesar salad (enough for two people to share with very rich and flavorful dressing); the crabcakes (again, enough for two to share); spaghetti with meatballs (the meatballs I will make the 2 hour drive to experience again); and the risotto of the day (which happened to have the most tender short ribs ever); creme' Brule and chocolate gelato. From start to finish, everything was better than we expected. We will absolutely return.

Yelp
We love Vigilucci's. The hostess greeted us and asked our preference of seating. Tonight we sat outside on the patio and were so glad we did because the view was fantastic. Service was top notch as our water and wine were constantly replenished. We had the crab cakes, which we loved because they are loaded with crab and not much filler and served with a simple but delicious arugula salad. So glad we split the wedge salad because the portions are so generous. I ordered the Risotto di Giorno with filet tips, mushrooms and asparagus. What a treat. Vigilucci's doesn't skimp on ingredients as the meal was loaded with tender filet mignon. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Portofino which was brimming with a variety of seafood. Muscles, clams, shrimp, calamari, and an enormous prawn in a beautiful sauce. There was too much to eat so we took some of each meal home. Since we were celebrating my birthday, we ordered the lava cake, which was served with vanilla gelato and whipped cream. Sensational.

Yelp
We had already been to the location in uptown Carlsbad and had always wanted to try this location by the beach. The crew members were very courteous and attentive. We were seated at an ocean view location, which was perfect til the screaming kid next to us kept testing the acoustics in the building. The parents had no intention of calming him down. We asked to move to another seat, and we took the option of sitting in the bar area. The outside dining area wasn't available for another hour. Unfortunately, we could periodically still hear the kid screaming, but it wasn't as loud. The food was great! Our waitress was excellent! The seating in the main lobby could've been a little more spacious, and the parking could be an issue if it weren't for the great valet parking. We definitely will be back.

Yelp
Our all time favorite, always hits the spot. Nice views, top notch food, service what more can you ask for? Been dining here for years, it's comfort food for us. Their freshly made gnocchi melts in your mouth and leaves you wanting more. I had their special that day, Chilean Seabass with rock shrimp, my hubby got their salmon. Everything was wonderful! You will leave with a smile on your face!

Yelp
The ambience was nice and cozy. They were already decorated for Christmas so it had a nice festive ambiance and you can tell that this place is elevated. A bit more of a fine dining. Service is good. The waiter messed up our order but he was so nice about it, and offered to replace or comp our order. So if just the service, I'd probably give this place at least a 4, if not, 5 stars. However, we didn't enjoy the food as much. In general, it tasted a little bland or flat. The calamari wasn't seasoned enough, but the marinara sauce it came with was good. So I have to douse it with the lemon and the marina sauce to enjoy it. They gave us bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar which was good! The bread was hot and fresh! We also had the Caesar salad which was also yummy! We also got the penne vodka with shrimps and prawns. We had the shrimps and prawns on the side and they were good. But the actual penne vodka pasta is a little bland or missing a bit more flavor. My husband ordered the NY steak but got the filet mignon. It was tender and cooked to our preference but again it is missing more flavor. The side veggies were okay. We had the tiramisu and affogato for dessert. The tiramisu was so good! I find the affogato a bit too strong. So for the price, the flavors in general, for me, fell short. Very good service, though and lovely ambiance.

Yelp
Looking for dessert in Carlsbad as we walked along State Street on a busy Friday evening. This restaurant has been recommended previously for great dining and we saw a couple of tables on the street. The host asked if we had reservations and when we said no he said the wait may be long...we said we saw a couple of empty tables so he checked and we were seated immediately at a table set for two. It wasn't the best table as it was very close to a parked car so it may be why it was available? We decided on something salty before dessert and ordered Fritto di Calamari e Gamberetti. It was plenty and tasty but I prefer it to be a bit more crispy. I love Spumoni and this was very good but I like my spumoni with cherry gelato and candied cherries. This one had strawberry, pistachio, vanilla and chocolate gelato with a maraschino cherry. My friend enjoyed her chocolate lava cake. Coffee came piping hot We had plenty of attention and the three who serviced us were all very friendly and accommodating. I definitely need to come back and try a main entree with a reservation.

Yelp
I've been going to Vig's for years and it's always a winner. My sister and our respective hubbies decided to take our sister visiting from Ohio and her husband last week and it was as expected; delicious. Our server was top-notch and attentive. Our food was tasty and drinks were perfect. We will be back
google avatar

Yelp
First time eating at this location. Had a great view inside by the window. Our server was excellent. She had great recs for drinks and food. It's pricey but worth it. The steak was cooked to perfection. My wife got the Grigliata and loved it. I had a bite of her scallop and omg...melt in your mouth. So good. Wouldn't mind coming by for lunch to try that menu out as well.
google avatar

Anne K.

Yelp
Great service, atmosphere, and delicious food. I do recommend this restaurant. We started with Calamari and shrimp, which was very fresh and good. I had the fish special Halibut, with Asparagus and mashed potatoes.
google avatar

Yelp
Impeccable! We came tonight to celebrate our daughter getting accepted to Cal Poly Tech. And it was a celebration to end all family celebrations. The food was as good or better than the their sister restaurants (honestly all 3 locations have amazed and delighted), our server was on point without being "hovering", and the dining room was beautiful and elegant. To be honest all 3 Vigilucci's are amazing and their menus are similar, but they each have enough unique items that you really need to try all three. This particular location is right on the water, so if you're looking for that extra special romantic bump, definitely give this location a try right at sunset! I'm so pleased with the entire Vigilucci's family of restaurants. They are all unique and amazing gems in the north county scene. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing! The good was absolutely incredible. My first time trying sautéed calamari (gluten free option) and the sauce was to die for. After chatting and finishing the appetizer, my entree was brought out right after. I ordered gluten free noodles for the penne vodka pasta and they still tasted good. For dessert I got the cannoli and also a coffee. To make the night even better, sitting outside to get a beautiful view of the sunset was a perfect end to the night. Very lively. Some people were more dressed up than others while some people were in their beach clothes. Soft Italian music was played in the background. Servers were friendly and always smiling.

Yelp
As one of my favorite restaurants to dine at, this visit was a bit of a bummer. I ordered the lobster and filet mignon special and my now husband ordered the chilean sea bass. My lobster lacked flavor and was undercooked. The chilean sea bass smelled fishy and was lackluster in flavor and texture. The best part of the meal this time was the Caprese salad. It hurts to write this but important to note so it can be improved upon. I love this place and want to make it clear, I had to review this honestly because I love this restaurant so much. The service was good but slow (not the norm especially for a Wednesday evening. The ambiance was wonderful as it usually is and even though it was an off night for this wonderful spot in Carlsbad with a gorgeous view, we will be back.

Yelp
We decided to try this place at the recommendation of some friends and we are glad we did. First, the food. Everything we had was really good! I ordered a surf and turf (even though this place is more Italian) and the meat and shrimp were fantastic. The filet was cooked perfectly and was a great cut of meat. When dealing with the quality of meat you get with this place, you don't want to smother the meat with a bunch of seasoning. You want to be able to taste the quality of meat and here you'll get a good piece is filet. The bread they bring out was fresh, super hot and also very good. They also have a very extensive wine list. The service was also very good. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to the needs of the table. He also made great recommendations while trying to decide what to get. The atmosphere here was pretty great. It wasn't loud and obnoxious, it was very nice. I was a little bummed that this place was not closer to the water and the traffic right outside makes sitting in the front patio a little loud. We sat inside. All in all this place was a pretty good place to have a nice dinner. If you're in the area give it a try! Cheers!

Yelp
Food: I got the vodka penne, calamari, and spaghetti with clams. Neither of the pasta dishes were a wow. The penne was almost undercooked and some of the clams were bad. The calamari was good as there wasn't too much batter. Probably wouldn't come back again for the food. 6.5/10 Ambiance: The restaurant is right next to the water so I can't really complain. We came on a saturday afternoon and there were plenty of tables and no wait. Overall the place was very nice but food didn't blow my mind.

Yelp
In a nutshell: Tourist Trap Sleazy Beach "Sizzlers" Against our better instincts, we tried this place for dinner. It is "Average" at best, and kinda gross at worst. It's trying to be "fine dining," but tablecloths and high prices do not a fine dining experience make, nor does it mask its "Sizzler" vibe. The place is tired, worn out and underwhelming but charges fancy, beachfront restaurant prices. Our waitress lacked basic knowledge, interest or attentiveness. When I asked about the fries, her response was "they're fries!?" and looked at me like I'm an idiot (are they thick cut, shoestring, wedges, skin on, crosscut, double-fried??) Also asked her to differentiate the various cuts of meat: "Marbling. I'm a filet person." The end. Our steaks were greasy, veggies overcooked and mushy, and the Alfredo sauce tasted as if poured straight from a jar. Truly underwhelming. The extra "blue cheese sauce" for the steak tasted as if it was made from the same pedestrian Alfredo sauce with just a tiny hint of blue cheese dressing mixed in, lacking any of the robust flavor I love with blue cheese and/or Roquefort. Crab cakes were just "eh." Not bad, but not great, just there. Not that I care too much, but had to get up and grab our champagne to replenish our empty glasses, which mostly just speaks to the lack of attentiveness from the waitress. Even though we were there early with very few other diners, our food took a while, so we suspected that our plates likely sat on the line under the heat lamp for quite a while, having been totally forgotten. Definitely crossing this place off the list permanently and DO NOT recommend it unless you LOVE an expensive Sizzlers with a whiff of tired sleaziness.
google avatar

Gary P.

Yelp
Been here many times in the past. Last year I said I wouldn't go back because the prices are really high, gouging, plus 4% added fee crap. Service was quite lackluster and uninformed, food came out tepid, cream sauce was a pool of Gluck with a few old mushrooms in it. Never again.
google avatar

June B.

Yelp
it was a sweet eveing at this "place to be seen". Our meals were good but over priced. I think it was nice to get a complimentary dessert. My 2 complaints were the sound baffling was nonexistent and service A loud man was totally overpowering our conversation and he was across the room. The second comment was that we sat at our table for over 7 minutes without any attention.

Yelp
This restaurant is my favorite one in the entire San Diego area. The service is outstanding, gorgeous view of the ocean, and food is great, specially their Oyster on a half shell is the best I have had.

Yelp
This is a regular stop for my mom, so we are back on a Sunday afternoon. Since the spaghetti was good last time, I had it again. The meatballs are so tender. My daughter had the hand-cut Nebraska Prime steaks served with seasonal vegetables and fettuccine alfredo. She said it was excellent. But my brother almost dropped to the floor when the check came. I don't know how much it was but my daughter apologized to my brother. There is no price on the menu. My daughter said she had no idea it was that much especially for the size of the steak. See photo below. So, be aware if you get the steaks or chops. For dessert we had the Affogato, which is out of this world. For people on a budget that can't afford this place. Let me suggest you treat yourself and at least come and share the Affogato. It is that good. July 2023
google avatar

Megan A.

Yelp
Vigilucci's is overpriced, overrated & obnoxious. This is 100 percent a tourist spot. If you are looking for prime steak & lobster, this is not it. You are strictly paying for the view, which isn't great. You are better off getting your own food & sitting on the beautiful beach. Our shrimp cocktail straight up tasted like Heinz Ketchup. The service was very male Italian.
google avatar

Felipe A.

Yelp
We decided to drop in for lunch, great view of the Ocean, nice seating area and decorated well with nice fur and linen at each table. I ordered the Prime Ribeye and my wife ordered the Salmon plate. We both had cocktails,, I ordered the Cadillac Margarita and She ordered the Under The Sea Margarita, we enjoyed both of them. Our server came asked what we want Ed for drinks took our order and it came quickly. All I have to say is, the Ribeye was the best I have ever eaten, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Will come back again to this Jewel of a place

Yelp
I might have had one of the best plates of my life! The Chilean sea bass with spinach and cherry tomatoes over farro was exquisitely delicious! Truly incredible! We enjoyed a Caesar with calamari and the salad was very well prepared with a hearty serving of calamari. You can't go wrong with an ocean view and a margarita! Terrific meal and a terrific spot.

Yelp
Yum! It was our first time here (and we live in Carlsbad) but have yet to find a really good dining spot. This is it! The food, service, drinks, and view can't be beat. We are taking some friends there tonight and i can't wait!

Daniel P.

Yelp
Nice setting in a great location. Service was warm, attentive and friendly. Unfortunately a steakhouse that can't cook a steak can't get more than two stars. The kitchen simply lacks skill and finesse. The crab cake app was ok at best. Wife's chicken Milanese was dry and lacked flavor. I ordered the $80 ribeye, was torn between M/R or med but the menu and waiter assured me medium is pink with some red at the center so I went w med. it came out well done. Innocent mistake and the waiter was quick to bring it back. He knew it was overdone before I even cut in. The redo came back so rare I could tell the center would be raw before I cut it. Waiter knew as well. I skipped my entree and took it home to recook the next day. Waiter comped dessert, a nice touch, but it was clearly some frozen mass-produced dessert -- lava cake that tasted like hersheys syrup. With such a stunning beachfront location, I can only hope they hire a kitchen staff who can cook or sell the restaurant to someone who knows how to run one.

The family visited to have dinner in time for the sunset time, so we enjoyed the wonderful sunset and had a delicious meal. It was a really good time.

Yelp
The ambiance and food is always superb! Service is always top tier with amazing staff that go above and beyond for us EVERYTIME. Come in the afternoons and you'll experience a beautiful sunset while having dinner. Only downside is the parking, during busy hours you'll have to park in a street near by and walk over but given the location it's common. Worth the walk.

Yelp
Came here for the first time to celebrate my Uncle's birthday. It is a beautiful restaurant across the street from the beach. The wait staff was an attentive, our waiter was great. We had a party of five so we started with the Insalata Alla Vigilucci and an app of calamari and shrimp, both good. Our main courses are in the pictures. Everything came out looking beautiful however the menu did not mention the Pollo a la Marsala had bones in the chicken, Wasn't expecting that. The Pollo à la parmigiana portion size was too much for one person as it's served on a platter (two ppl). The family said the noodles were okay that accompanied their dishes for being house made and both of the specials which were the surf and turf and my risotto topped with skirt steak (I added 3 shrimps) was bland, which was a SHOCK, requiring us as for salt, steak sauce and butter. When you spend $100 on the filet mignon, you should not have to put salt or Worcestershire or anything on it. Honestly, the ambience was pretty, but the food was very expensive for the quality. Great location though. I don't think we will be back. The three were given because of the bland food so price versus quality.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday at the restaurant last night 12/14/24. As always the restaurant never fails to impress. The food and atmosphere were both amazing making this a wonderful experience.

Yelp
Can't ask for a better view, or service, went here on Wednesday for lunch, ordered the 8oz fillet, when served it was grey in color, I thought to myself, did they steam this thing? It was very tender, but flavorless, noticed there was no salt or pepper on the table? Now, I paid $102.00 for this steak, couldn't choke it down. This place used to be better 20 years ago, even better when it was the sandbar!!! However there was a happy ending, my puppy enjoyed it very much.

Yelp
The food is delicious and authentic. I grew up in an Italian descent household with a mom that cooked everything from scratch, so I appreciate homemade pasta. Service is outstanding. The sunset view is the best! Dirty martinis are perfect!

Yelp
The only thing fresh about this place is the staff's attitude. The osso bucco was under cooked, not at all tender and the risotto tasted worse than jail food. Disgusting. Poor service. Trashy.

Yelp
4.5 stars The food was impeccable! The crab cakes were to die for. My only complaint is that the price has gotten sooo expensive since we last were here two years ago. Additionally, there was a really loud group celebrating their 50th anniversary and their party was right in front of the ocean view. If there is going to be a loud group, they should really be put inside in a private room. All other diners shouldn't be inconvenienced by their loud glass clinking and speeches which was noise beyond a regular dinner.

Yelp
This romantic restaurant is a perfect spot for date night! Across the street is a beautiful view of the beach, great for a stroll after dinner when the weather is nice. For starters, we had the Insalata alle Pere ($19). Love the dressing! The pasta dishes were excellent. We ordered the Pappardelle Con Funghi E Capesante ($38) and the Penne Vodka Con Porcini E Gamberetti ($36). If you like mushrooms, then definitely order the Pappardelle Con Funghi E Capesante. It was absolutely delicious! Save room for dessert, because the Tortino al Cioccolato was decadent! The waiters were very attentive and provided top-notched service!

Yelp
My wife and I recently celebrated our Anniversary at Vigilucci's and had a flavor party! We had the lobster tail with Filet Mignon and the Risotto dish with seafood. Totally made our night. The ambience was great, restaurant was very full but not overly crowded. We will definitely be back, thank you Vigilucci's!
