The 19 Best Restaurants in Oklahoma City | Eater

"Oklahoma City’s Asian District is packed with top-notch restaurants, especially Vietnamese cuisine. Xuan Kim Nguyen first introduced pho to the market in the early 1990s at Pho Lien Hoa, which still operates in three locations under new owners. In 2018, he partnered with his son, David, who had a local food truck. Their four decades of combined experience is why locals pack into Bistro VII for every variety of pho, alongside classic Chinese dishes." - Dave Cathey

My to go pho place for the past 4+ years. I go here every birthday without fail and they deliver every time. Great customer service, they remember regulars orders and bring food out faster than any other pho places i’ve been to. They make sure to check up without interrupting your conversation which I love and the Food? Amazing, My to go order is an appetizer of crispy fried green beans and a large P18 (steak pho). I 1,000/10 recommend this place to anyone trying pho for the first time or just anyone looking for a good authentic pho place!

Google
3.7 stars. Stopped in for quick meal with co-worker. Simple, no frills dining room. Employee seated us promptly and got us waters. When it came time to order, another employee took our order down. This young guy was not warm nor friendly. He seemed like he did not want to be there at work. We both got the bun thit combo with egg roll, grilled pork and shrimp ($17.99). Plating was nice and portion size generous. Great flavors and freshness too.

First time here after a recommendation! They really put a lot of meat and toppings in their dishes! Really fast and friendly service. Bathrooms were very clean too which is a big plus 💯 will be back! Try the limeade! So refreshing!

Google
Really loved trying this restaurant this weekend. The food was delicious and so fresh! It came out super fast and was decent sized portions. Loved all of the menu items but ordered the spicy chicken, Mongolian beef and lettuce wraps. Amazing!

Google
Wonderful restaurant situated in the Asian district of OKC. The staff was convivial and able to seat us right away during dinner time hours. The aroma of pho permeates the restaurant air, which is a plus. I ordered a large P-12 (pho with flank and round eye) as well as 1 egg roll; as always with OKC portion sizes are generous and pricing seemed average. The menu has plenty of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes to sample and choose from which is definitely worth trying.

Everytime I come here I am beyond satisfied! Everyone dining here looks so happy and comfortable always. There’s something so cozy about the atmosphere here! Everything they make is so delicious and hot to the table. I love their egg rolls they are amazing! The servers are very kind and quick with orders. They get everything you need and it’s not too loud in there so you don’t miss anything you ordered! I come in here when I am having a bad day and they always make our day! The lady with a daughter is always the kindest! Thank you! Your awesome! My new favorite pho spot!

Came here for dinner. There are plenty of seats. Did not have to wait too long for our meal.

Yelp
I love the food here, everything is fresh, the service is great and the ambiance is great. 10/10!! I ate the food so fast I forgot to take pictures.

Yelp
Consistency, a commitment to quality, delicious food, great service, spacious dining...VII Asian Bistro has it all. I have been to this Vietnamese restaurant in Asian District A LOT, and I have always had the best experience. What makes the pho at VII Asian Bistro so delicious is the savory, aromatic broth. It's so rich and flavorful, making it the best pho in OKC. The restaurant is committed to quality ingredients. I have personally witnessed this twice in the past. The restaurant was sold out of pho and turning customers away instead of serving them subpar ingredients. VII Asian Bistro is the most consistent Vietnamese restaurant. I know what I am getting each time I come, and that is a reassuring reason why I kept coming back...must be hundred of times by now, and many more to come. FYI, VII Asian Bistro has been around for 10 years. It has made huge progress in the first 2 years...from the worst restaurant to the best restaurant.

Yelp
I'm no doctor but I prescribe myself pho for the worst of any hangover. Think about it, it's got electrolytes, vitamin C, vitamin B...eef :D This is the best pho restaurant in town. My front runner Tai Gau has been knocked out by my new favorite Tai Nam Gau. Order take out or dine in, you won't regret it! (Also good for when you don't have a hangover).

Yelp
I had this pho for the first time in 2019 after surgery while I was hospitalized. Had it again last week and it was comfort in a bowl. Best pho in OKC hands down. The broth, the noodles, it's just the best. Go!

Yelp
First time here and will definitely be coming back. Fast service and delicious pho! The broth was full of flavor. What more can you ask for?

Yelp
I love Vietnamese food. It's great to see mom and pop places like this in my hometown. The Asian ribs have a sweet hoisin sauce and it's awesome. The egg rolls were pretty standard my kids loved them. I had a phó it was great but could have been a little saltier. The staff is young but friendly and the overall atmosphere is clean and inviting.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed Vietnamese food and have an expectation of quality. VII Asian Bistro hit the spot. We loved the egg rolls and vermicelli pork and chicken. This is our go to while visiting OKC.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love bistro Vii! We have been coming here ever since they had open. They are def the best overall in flavor and the service is always so good! They will make you feel at home. My go to is the fatty brisket pho! My husband loves their combo pho. For appetizers, def try the calamari, fresh spring rolls or fried spring rolls! Enjoy!

Kendra L.

Yelp
I really enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant, it feels bright and clean. It's a large space so I've never had to wait for a table or felt "crowded." Wait staff is prompt and kind. On my most recent visit I had Pho but I don't think I've ever had a dish I've disliked here. VII Asian Bistro is an Asian District staple, if you ask me (a white woman LOL)!

Yelp
Salt and pepper calamari -5/5 - not spicy so your little people can enjoy it I usually get pho, but the Oklahoma heat had other plans today, so decided to get a rice plate- 5/5. Yumminess all on one plate. Service is great! A spot I bring all my out of town friends for good Asian food.
google avatar

Yelp
Great customer service and the best pho in the Oklahoma City metro. They put a lot of meat into their bowls. We will be back.

Yelp
Friday I had a lunch date with friends and of course we head over to bistro VII. Normally my go to at this place is pho but this time I decided to check out the lunch specials. I opted to give one of their Chinese dishes a shot (lemon chicken with broccoli) and wow, 10/10! The chicken was moist and tender, sauce has the perfect amount of lemon zest and sweetness. I love this place for their consistent service, food quality, and cleanliness. It's one of my favorite spots in the Asian district.

Yelp
Great service and food. Ambiance is nice and the dining area clean. Always consistently good. We usually get the Pho, spring rolls and egg rolls, but everything looks good, I'll try something different next time.

Yelp
Ordered through DoorDash again and it came identical as how I've bought before. I ordered the Pork and Egg Roll Vermicelli which consists of grilled pork, an egg roll, noodles, bean sprouts, lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrots and some sauces. I'm going to be honest and say this isn't my favorite vermicelli but it does hit the spot. Both times I've gotten this, my cucumbers don't taste fresh and the texture is a little gooey? Like they've been sitting out. On the plus side, the lettuce and bean sprouts were fresh! They made our food quick!

Christi C.

Yelp
Very good broth. I got the steak and brisket pho. they have the full setup for it with basil, cilantro, lime, sprouts, white onions, noodles. I did carry out and it was quick and easy. Next time I will dine in, it was bright and inviting.

Meriah P.

Yelp
Food was good. The bun bo hue was spicy and super flavorful. The pho broth was just okay. But the portions were large, and they didn't skimp on the meat. Also ordered edamame and egg rolls. Both were good. Service was fast. We did ask for no onions in the pho and still got onions, but it wasn't a huge deal. Solid 4 stars

Josh G.

Yelp
Very racist place !! Don't eat here went to pick up order for uber and was denied order cause I would not confirm !!!! Manager was nasty and rude when complained to her. Uber paid me anyway so thanks VII Asian Bistro.... Beware you have been warned !

Yelp
Fantastic food and service every time I come here, and I've been during the crazy lunch hour too. Their crab wontons are the best I've had! Made fresh with ample amounts of cream cheese and crab, you won't go wrong with these! The pho was delicious. I had chicken with quail egg, my favorite combination that not everyone offers. I also had Sweet and Sour Chicken, and it was lovely. My only complaint is that it said pineapple on the menu but there was no pineapple in it. When I asked about it, he said they no longer add it in the dish. It was still delicious. My husband had the Kung Pao chicken and also enjoyed his. I also enjoyed their Thai Tea which is like drinking dessert! Love it! Service was swift and attentive to our needs. We will be back.

Yelp
This is by far one of the best places to get pho! Linda is super nice and they have great service too!
google avatar

Wendy J.

Yelp
This is my go to place for pho. I just recently realized I could get pho to go. What a game changer. They provide all of the ingredients packaged alongside the hot broth. When I got home all I had to do was combine the ingredients. The broth was still incredibly hot and cooked my meat very quickly. Staff is always kind, courteous, and efficient. The restaurant is clean and the To Go area is easily identified. With my recent To Go order, they were out of my regular beef pho. The kind waitstaff suggested I try the pork broth with shrimp and egg noodles. What a fabulous suggestion. I really enjoyed the pickled jalapeños for an added spiciness. If you don't know what to order, ask your waitstaff. They have great suggestions and can guide you through the menu.

Constance H.

Yelp
Service is top-notch, and so is the food. They are so fast, you barely sit down and food is on the table. Be sure and say hi to Linda who is the manager. She is really on top of things and so are her people. I highly recommend this place. Run, don't walk. Get here as soon as you can. You will be glad that you did.

Yelp
Lunch time Pho, Great service, Pho is always good. Tai Nam Gan, Eye of Round, flank and tendon, add the sprouts and some sauce and it is a great meal on a cool day! Service is quick!

Yelp
This has become my bf and I's go to Asian restaurant! It has a great variety of different tastes from Chinese dishes to pho. And I have yet ordered something I didn't love. Everything is cooked to perfection and flavors are savory without being too oily. Food 1. Chicken eggplant: absolutely perfect eggplant dish, chicken was very soft 2. Fried rice: wok seared fried rice! Fried rice was actually one of my favorite parts of the meal. 3. Pho: meat was cooked perfectly and broth is rich but not overpowering, noodles were great 4. Spicy chicken: wasn't expecting it to be fried but still very tasty, sweet and spicy (it's not really spicy in my opinion) 5. Hot and sour soup: a little too sour Clean and amazing service as well! Our waiter and other waiters were very attentive.

Yelp
Looking for a pho place to eat today. Went to one, it was closed. So i drove a few blocks down and stumbled upon this place. Fancy outside. Must be good. Well, as soon as i walked in, i was seated. Quick service. I asked for help to order. The waiter suggested the fatty beef. So i ordered The small PHO with steak and fatty beef. Lucky i ordered the small. That was a big bowl and it was good and very filling. The service was quick. The only thing I would suggest is that they have the chilly paste and other condiments at the table. They only had saracha and one other dark sauce. Even without the chilly paste, the pho was good. The place was clean and nice. I will come here again.

Yelp
Used to be my favorite place until today. I guess they've resorted to putting TONS and I mean TONS of MSG poisoning in their pho broth. I am feeling super sick at the moment because I am highly allergic to MSG ugh!!!! You've been warned. Plus their prices keep going up. Be expected to pay an arm and leg for a bowl of pho.

Alma M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place, the food is consistently good. The pho is so delicious I eat it all year, even when it's hot out.
google avatar

Kai L.

Yelp
One of my top pho places now. Plenty of meat, flavorful broth, efficient staff. Their platters could use some work though. They're located at a corner of a dingy strip mall, but once you go in, the place has been remodeled so looks new and clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Great options for Asian cuisine. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, large menu. We had the hot&sour soup, beef tripe pho and calamari.

Ally P.

Yelp
My favorite pho place i order from here constantly the food is SO GOOD. however i don't really eat inside the restaurant because sometimes you'll get stuck with this server that's rude and i don't have time lol. but the food is so good it's 5 stars anyway
google avatar

Yelp
Very good Vietnamese restaurant that has a variety of options, including menu items that may be rarer or harder to find and that would only appear at more authentic places. Relatively spacious interior as well with witty and well-designed posters/aesthetics. I got an egg noodle soup, the spring rolls and potstickers - all of which were very good. Among the great Vietnamese places in OKC, especially in the Asian District!
google avatar

Yelp
Located in a busy little plaza. Get there a bit early so you can get parking. Roomy, clean, and spacious. Ordered: Spring rolls:Noodles, bean sprout, lettuce, shrimp, pork slices. Comes with peanut sauce. 2/5 stars. It's okay. Nothing special about this spring roll. But meaty. Pho: Pho Dac Biet-combination of meats, rice noodles(Gets too soft if you don't eat right away), Fatty brisket, tripe, meat ball, rare steak, onion, cilantro, tendon. Very good cuts of meat and quantity of meats. Broth wasn't too beefy or aromatic, but better than some other pho joints near by. 3/5 stars Spare ribs: Pork ribs- Sweet, sticky with sesame seeds. Very tender inside, nice and crunchy outside. Came hot and delicious. It has a Chinese five spice taste to it mixed with a Korean flair. It came with a beautiful side of Carrots/cucumber mixed with a pickled soy flavor. It was very refreshing actually. My daughter loved it! 4/5 Overall, customer Service is very good! Had a young lady serve us and she was super kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcomed.

Yelp
First time here while in area. Wife and I was greeted and seated within a timely manner, waiter brought us water right away and kept over to see if we're ready to order but we needed time to look over the menu. We ordered some fried egg rolls which came out hot and crispy, best egg rolls in years (even ordered 6 more to go lol). Wife also had the hot and sour soup, like egg drop with mushrooms and more on the sour side. She had the Sichuan Beef with fried rice. The beef was flavored, too crispy for us. I had the pepper steak and the meat was tender, sauce was flavorful but way overly peppered that I couldn't enjoy it. Thankfully we ordered extra egg rolls to go. Price is little expensive as it was $68 for all that.
google avatar

Madison T.

Yelp
This place has the best pho broth I've ever had. Perfect for hot, cold, raining weather. The service is also usually very fast so you don't usually have to wait very long to get your pho. A go to for lunch

Yelp
(VII) Seven Asian Bistro delivers delicious Vietnamese cuisine that makes you want to stand up and sing for more. The same way the band - White Stripes delivers there smash hit "Seven nation army" with a percussive riff that makes you crave for more. (Shameless plug) I ordered the Large bowl of pho (FYI-Comes in 3 bowl sizes - Regular, large and XXL) that had eye round steak, brisket and other cuts of meat and tripe. The broth came out piping hot and was delicious and flavorful. Complete with generous cuts of meat. If you're really hungry you can add toppings to your pho for an additional charge. Toppings include meat, poultry, fishballs, shrimp, etc.... Definitely order the fried spring rolls. The rolls served here are larger than other restaurants in the area, but more importantly tastier in my opinion. The pork and veggie filling were seasoned well and the skins were fried perfectly. I would have liked more pieces of lettuce served with the spring rolls though. The fish dipping sauce was deliciously salty, sour and well balanced. Great service, comfortable seating, priced right and coupling that up with easy to find parking being located in a small strip mall makes this an unphogettable experience. Looking forward to come back here to try there other items.

Yelp
I went here at least once a week while I was visiting oklahoma city. I always ordered the regular sized pho tai and every visit, they did not disappoint. The regular sized bowl was large enough to be shared between me and my husband. I always left feeling like I got more for my money. The broth was super flavorful and you could taste the delicious spices. Service was always fast and I appreciated that on super busy days. Definitely check them out if you are in the area.
google avatar

Kat M.

Yelp
Food is okay but has gone downhill in the last year. Service is usually quick when dining in, but not always consistently good service. We do take out often and service can be rude over the phone. We used to love this place and order often but I think we will be finding other places to spend our money. The food isn't that great to be worth the price and not getting good service.
google avatar

Huan P.

Yelp
Still the best pho place in okc. Extremely efficient service and always consistent high quality food. Portions are larger than other places as well.
google avatar

Debra K.

Yelp
The dining rooms are huge and can handle a lunch crowd. We started our lunch with spring rolls (that came out almost instantaneous) and some fried pork dumplings. Rolls were beautiful. The dumpling filling was fantastic (but I still like steamed dumplings better). The lunch menu is basically Chinese food but the portions are large. One of us ordered the VII Chicken and asked for extra spice. "Are you sure?" After she assured our very friendly waitress that she could handle it, it came out with one habanero added. Others ordered the Pho and the steaming bowls made us all wish we had ordered some. Lovely aroma! I ordered the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (grilled shredded pork with Vietnamese egg roll). Amazing. It was like a noodle salad and the pork was out-of-this world. Huge serving and I could have split it. Service was fantastic. We will be back!

James S.

Yelp
Seriously Pho doesn't get better then this place. The broth is heavenly, full bodied, rich and extremely flavorful without being too heavy on the herbs and spices. The consistency is always the same and perfect. I've never had a bad bowl of pho here. They give you the perfect meat / noodle ratio. Other places skimp manipulating patrons to order extra meat. Not this place. A large combination Pho Dac Biet is all I need. I'll make the extra drive to the city to have pho here because VII Asian Bistro is simply the best! Cold weather + Pho = bliss and I take comfort knowing this place is going to keep me warm, happy and satisfied all winter.

Yelp
This is the first time I have been here. And I have to say the service was the thing that stuck out to me! They an very kind and fast here, the building was clean and the decorations were cute. The food was top-tier, we had pho and spring rolls. Coming back!

Yelp
This was one of the best dining experiences i've ever had. the food cam out incredibly fast and the service was phenomenal and the food was amazing 1000000000000/10 absolutely recommend.
google avatar

Patrick M.

Yelp
This was great. Something very new and different for me but so tasty. Gets spicier the emptier the bowl gets. Fast service and good appetizers as well. Wife had the Crispy Honey Chicken and it is so tasty and fresh. Sorry no picture.

Yelp
We're from San Jose (basically the Vietnamese capital of the US) and this place was legit. The pho was awesome and service was 12/10, we had a super kind and attentive server who went above and beyond to attend to my mom's many requests . Thank you for the great food and service!! Highly recommend
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Lol no idea how I have not reviewed this place! My coworkers and I go at least once EVERY WEEK. Linda knows my regular order and is the best restaurant manager I have ever met! She is on top of everything! I always get edamame and sesame chicken. Their edamame portion is huge comparatively! Their lunch menu is awesome. The food is always super fresh and fast! I now bring work clients here and always recommend it at the top of my list when people come from out of town. This unassuming strip mall restaurant is a hidden gem! My favorite Asian place in OKC hands down.
google avatar

P M.

Yelp
If you like pho then come here. The veggies are fresh! The soup tastes DEELISHIZZZ. There is a hottie working here too. He reminds me of a k-pop star. Spicy.
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
Very good vietnamese food and great service. I recommend the Com Thit Nuong. Loved it and would come again.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get pho in the city. The service is some of the best. They are so attentive and ready with anything you need. The ambiance of the place is pretty great.
google avatar

Randy S.

Yelp
I've always noticed this place for several years but never dined in until october 2019. The dining room is huge and the large windows in to the kitchen allow for a pleasant viewing experience if you're lucky enough to be seated in the right spot Service has always been great with a kind smiling face to go along with the food. They have an entrance for dining in and another foor for takeout. The restroom have been an obstacle everytime I've visited, but who reviews bathrooms right I think the flavors here are very bright and clean across the dishes I've had. They have quail eggs which is a must for me when I eat pho, so if a place doesnt offer them then I dont write home about it. I think they care about the food they put out
google avatar

Nannette M.

Yelp
The honey chicken was delicious, bite size pieces were appreciated. The crispy green bean, oh yum!(little to much horseradish in the sauce for dipping though.) The spring rolls with peanut sauce were excellent. The lemon chicken with broccoli another winner. The meatball pho my husband got was yummy. The broth was nice and mild with a bit of sweetness. The white strawberry tea hit the spot as well.(would had liked to had sweet n low though to put in the tea). I think this is going to be my family's go to Asian restaurant, when we come to OKC. (You will also live the decor. It is fun patterns, etc...)
