I can't say enough how much we loved our stay in Villa Foz. We didn't want to leave. The staff from the valet to the reception to the wait staff were very accommodating and welcoming. They gave us a room early as we were in a bind leaving a bad Airbnb. They even went out of the way to help us stay in another room when they had little availability. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely trip. The rooms are lovely and clean and very well appointed. This is an excellent location for calming relaxation yet close to the city. Every detail was on point and all of needs were met and expectations exceeded. Excellent food even on the kids menus. Don't hesitate..book it!

Rooms are spacious, tastefully designed, and well-equipped with high-end touches like memory foam beds and designer bathroom amenities. Many feature balconies or terraces overlooking the sea – a definite highlight. The staff are warm and professional, creating a sense of understated luxury from the moment you arrive. From the welcome drink to the valet and concierge services, you feel well looked after. The spa, indoor pool, and sauna also provide a peaceful haven after exploring the city. Vila Foz features two on-site restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Vila Foz, known for its refined seafood-focused tasting menus served in an opulent, historic dining room. The bar is also worth mentioning – the barkeeper makes an excellent Bloody Mary, probably one of the best in town. Breakfast, on the other hand, only just meets expectations. It’s fresh and adequate, but nothing special for a hotel of this calibre. A few other minor areas could be improved: the pool area could use more loungers, and service – while generally excellent – varies slightly depending on the staff member. These small details prevent a perfect score but don’t overshadow the overall experience. A luxurious and memorable stay in Porto, ideal for those who appreciate sophisticated design, excellent food, and a touch of the sea breeze. One of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Portugal. I had the unforgettable opportunity to celebrate my 50th birthday at a Michelin-starred restaurant, which made the experience even more special. The view from the property was stunning, the service was outstanding, and every detail exceeded my expectations. The pool area was beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing, and the massages were incredibly soothing and rejuvenating. Everything was top-notch. A truly exceptional place – I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Amazing place, exceptional services. If you're looking for a place where luxury and comfort are in their place, look no further. This special place made our stay in Porto exceed our expectations, starting from the high quality of services, delicious food, always smiling staff, very meticulous cleanliness, to the location with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean. I would like to thank the staff and especially Susana, who were very kind and willing to help you with anything you needed. It was a real pleasure. I am sure we will come back to this wonderful place.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Absolutely terrible experience! The management clearly cares more about their policies than the comfort and needs of their guests. They canceled our reservation without informing us—we only found out when we arrived, with no heads up or apology. To make matters worse, they refused to let our 12-year-old use the pool at any time during our stay. If you're traveling with children, DO NOT stay here! Beatriz, the so-called manager, couldn't have been more unhelpful- doesn’t care!!! Additionally they left us standing on the street with our bags at 6:30 pm, and didn’t even offer to help us find another hotel or give us a ride. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of other hotels out there that will actually care about their guests! Avoid the stress and book somewhere else.

Our stay was disappointing, and we are unlikely to return. From the start, we did not feel welcome—no one helped with our luggage, and check-in was slow due to a power outage. After trying six cards and repeatedly filling out forms, we still had to return in the evening to complete the process. The escort to the room was impersonal, and key information, like breakfast details, was not provided. A welcome drink, standard for hotels in this category, was also missing. Staff later entered our room without knocking. Cleanliness was lacking in the spa area, with mold, particularly in the hammam. The makeup mirror had no lighting. The air conditioning was initially not working but was later repaired. Overall, the service did not match the hotel's standard. The staff could benefit from additional hospitality training.. There are many hotels in Porto that provide much better service.

Amazing location with very easy access, so close to the beach you can hear the waves at night. All the staff was amazing,bellboys, receptionists, concierge, waiters, bartender, spa team, etc… all amazing and with a smile on their face the whole time. The room is spacious and very tastefully decorated, the view is amazing, specially at sunset time.

If I could give the service 6 stars I would. Reception incredibly helpful, booked our train tickets, bar and restaurant service really good. Food superb. Location overlooking the sea (PLEASE spend the extra on a seaview room), with beach just across the road, a very restful area 20 minutes by taxi or 30 minutes by bus from the city centre. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in for ambience and food and service.
