"Housed in a beautiful 19C residence with a garden offering stunning sea views, Villa Ariston is one of the region’s unmissable gastronomic experiences. The cuisine maintains a subtle balance between tradition, classic flavours and the creativity which has given the restaurant its fine reputation. The menu features numerous fish dishes (the scampi-filled ravioli served with a scampi and mussel bisque are delicious), as well as local specialities such as lamb from nearby Cres island." - Michelin Inspector

This place is so good. The hostess and her crew do know how to serve very good food. I would recommend the tasting menu with the accompanying wine arrangement. Sergio has a great knowledge about the wines and you can see that he truly likes his job. Price/quality ratio is very good.

Nice restaurant, good food but exuberant price for the food. We ordered the daily catch ( price on the menu was €30) and they where charging €120. When asking the waiter for the difference in price, he gets annoyed and did not want to talk. His explanation was that that was the price of the fish. So at the end do we feel ripped of.

We went 2 times to the restaurant, didn't stay in the hotel, so gave the room 5 stars. The restaurant was amazing, both the degustation menu as a la carte. Very personal and professional services. Great food and wonderful presented. The terrace has an amazing view over the water.

My Lady and I made a reservation while we were in town for our annual trip to her family home in Volosko. She sees this beautiful place on her run on the Lungomare and her cousin recommended it to us a few years ago so we came for dinner. Parking is extremely limited but I was able to get a spot right out front so lucky us! The decadence and charm of the place is evident as soon as you enter! The stairs lead down to the restaurant and when you get there it’s a continuation of the elegance and beauty! Our server, Igor, was an incredibly genuine, gregarious person with a smile to match! He brought out the selections of fish and described his favorite; John Dory. The way he handled us gave me the trust to follow his lead and go with his recommendation. While we waited for our food to be prepared, she and I took a stroll outside to the terrace and it was expectedly beautiful! Different table setups, some for families, some for couples, but all with a spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea. When we came back in, our complimentary small plates were on the table, and another server was there to greet and guide us into this amazing fresh creamy dish accompanied with bread. Our appetizers were perfectly prepared; she had the fish carpaccio 3 ways and I got the veal and mushroom ravioli with shaved truffles. Absolutely brilliant! Then came the main course… The John Dory was grilled to perfection and served with roasted peppers, zucchini, and potatoes. The fish was presented whole, then carved, trimmed, and plated by two servers. They brought me the head and said “this is the best part… the CHEEKS!” Man oh MAN! The taste, mouth feel, the succulence in every bite was unrivaled by any fish we had ever eaten before! We cleaned the head of everything except the eyeballs, and I almost felt bad leaving them, but I’m a man who knows my limits! He brought us a schnapps and offered dessert. She chose the crème brûlée with pistachios. Finest dining experience of the year, by far! We WILL be back! And to Igor and the servers that accompanied him? HVALA!! From the bottoms of our hearts, tastebuds, and stomachs, HVALA!!!

An Unforgettable Stay at Villa Ariston My partner and I recently spent a night at Villa Ariston, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed, thanks to Cyntia—who has been a cornerstone of Villa Ariston for over 20 years—and the wonderful hospitality of Iva. The villa has recently undergone a full renovation, and the result is a beautifully calm, light, and airy atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. There is something truly special about this place. Our tasting menu dinner was exceptional, showcasing both creativity and quality, and breakfast the following morning was just as memorable—a perfect way to start the day. We were genuinely sad to leave and are already looking forward to returning, hopefully for a longer stay next time!

We stayed at Hotel Ariston to celebrate my 30th birthday, expecting a wonderful weekend getaway. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a frustrating and expensive ordeal due to the hotel’s negligence. Upon returning to the hotel one evening, we found our car, parked in the hotel’s designated parking lot, had been damaged by the car parked next to it. The marks on both vehicles made it clear what had happened. We immediately reported the issue to the reception staff, who agreed with our assessment but refused to address it promptly, stating they didn’t want to disturb the other driver during dinner. They assured us the hotel’s insurance would cover the damage, so we trusted them and waited for the process to unfold. What followed was a year of constant reminders and delays. When the insurance agent finally contacted us, we were told the claim couldn’t be processed because we didn’t have the personal information of the driver who caused the damage. This was incredibly frustrating, as it was the hotel’s responsibility to gather this information at the time of the incident. As a result, we had to cover the repair costs ourselves for damage we didn’t cause. The entire situation left us feeling like we were treated as less important guests. The lack of accountability and professionalism was shocking, and it completely ruined what should have been a special celebration. I cannot recommend staying here if you value peace of mind and good customer service.

Did the gazebo tasting for a €150 views. The food was OK I would say do it once in your lifetime and splurge just so you could say you could do it

For the price the food was lacking. The pasta was gritty. Some of the food was amazing though like the scampi ceviche. We killed four mosquitos and there were flies everywhere indoors. Mainly, don’t come here if it’s not good weather and you can sit outside. It’s not a great experience. (Didn’t stay at hotel.)
