Villa Atalaya

We had the most amazing stay at this villa! The property itself is absolutely stunning – spacious, beautifully maintained, and perfect for groups. The views are spectacular, and we loved spending time outdoors where the pool, bar area, and many activities kept everyone entertained. From tennis, basketball, table tennis, table football, boules, and even golf putting, there was never a dull moment. What made the experience truly special, though, was the incredible service. Antonio was outstanding – always on hand and going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He even invited us to play padel with him and his son, which was such a memorable experience. Nathalie was equally wonderful, driving us into town whenever we wanted and preparing the most delicious welcome dinner that made us feel instantly at home. We only wish we had booked a longer stay! This villa is a dream for groups looking for comfort, fun, and outstanding hospitality. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back.

Villa Atalaya is very impressive. The view from the grounds is stunning and the facilities at the Villa are fabulous. Our family had an incredible week stay here, I’d highly recommend. Antonio (the owner) is very helpful and on hand should you need his help with anything. The living accommodation is superb, the bedrooms mostly have en-suites (apart from one) and are perhaps slightly small given the villa size but perfectly adequate. It’s a great place for a lovely holiday.

Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa - the facilities, views and customer service were great. We had two meals catered which were both perfect and the villa was spotless when we arrived. The grounds and views in particular are stunning and 14 of us had a fantastic week here. Also very close to the lovely town of Peniscola, several of us walked/jogged there and taxis were also very easy to find for children/non-walkers.

We came from the US and stayed here recently and it’s truly a gorgeous property. There are an abundance of activities on the premises and in the nearby city. However, there were also a handful of issues as well and resolving them consistently seemed to be an uphill battle. Firstly, it felt like a decent amount of the amenities were embellished or not up to par based on the price of the place. For example, there’s no real jacuzzi. Rather, it’s just a small sectioned-off area with jets in the pool that is the exact same heat as the surrounding pool water. On top of this, the pool temperature was not able to be heated during our 1-week stay past 25-26 degrees Celsius despite requesting and being told they could multiple times, so we didn’t fully get to enjoy the pool as we were expecting based on the initial listing. It was also not particularly hot out at the time of year we went, so this was a huge priority for us. We also had to rewash the dishes because they weren’t cleaned well in the cabinets prior to us arriving. On top of this, the beds weren’t very cozy and we had a shower flood the entire downstairs bathroom since its drain hadn’t been cleaned. Service was good and the staff are friendly, but far from the 24/7 availability that is promised in the initial listing. It felt like there was little due diligence or effort to go above and beyond to help resolve our appropriate issues especially at a place advertised as such. This definitely somewhat ruined our high expectations and experience at Villa Atalaya.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Ultimate Luxury Villa Experience – Like Something From Love Island! We recently stayed at this incredible villa near Peñíscola, and honestly, it was hands down the best villa we’ve ever experienced – and we’ve stayed in some very high-end places over the years. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we were stepping onto a Love Island set. The villa itself is pure luxury: spacious, stylish, and immaculately kept. There are several large bedrooms, and the kitchen and dining area is perfect for entertaining – easily big enough to host 12–15 people comfortably. The outdoor BBQ area is stunning and made for amazing group dinners. The pool is absolutely beautiful, complete with a built-in Jacuzzi and an adjoining shallow pool which was ideal for toddlers. There’s even a pitch and putt area, pétanque (boules), and tennis courts – you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to activities. The location is fantastic – just a 3–4 minute drive from the old town of Peñíscola, which is a charming historic gem with lovely Spanish shops, restaurants, and cobbled streets leading up to the famous castle. On the other side, you’ve got the more modern beachfront town, perfect for lively beach bars and watching the world go by with a cold beer in hand. Valencia itself is around a 90-minute drive away, so although the listing might say Valencia, this villa is firmly based in the beautiful and quieter coastal region of Peñíscola. What made our stay even more memorable were the extra touches: we had a private chef experience, massages on-site, and even a Pilates instructor who came to the villa – it was like staying at a boutique retreat. The host was exceptional – responsive, welcoming, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The local shops also had fantastic produce for when we chose to cook ourselves. Flawless from start to finish – I couldn’t recommend this villa more highly. If you’re considering a luxurious, fun, and relaxing getaway with family or friends, this is the place. Overall, I had a great week long stay. Antonio and the staff were excellent. They were responsive to our requests and checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Antonio provided great service in transporting us from the Valencia airport to the villa and then later to the Benicarlo Peniscola train station. The view is incredible. Nice saltwater pool with jacuzzi jets. Plenty of chaise lounges around the pool area. Highly recommend the private chef dinners at the villa. We picked BBQ, paella and Italian plus a mojito class. Quiet safe neighborhood, good privacy. Taxis had no trouble finding the villa. Villa is at the top of a steep hill, so it's easy to walk downhill into the village but probably too strenuous to try to walk back, especially in summer. The villa was comfortable and spacious with plenty of areas to lounge in. Landscaping was beautiful. Tips: ask for instructions on how to use the kitchen appliances before you need to use them (oven is in French and the stove is induction), buy large jugs of bottled water from the nearby markets, ensure you buy the right coffee pods for the coffee machine, a rented car would be very helpful and convenient to get around vs depending on the limited taxis and/or Antonio to provide transport, bring pickleball paddles/ball for the tennis court if you want to play. Peniscola was a great town to walk around and dine in. Highly recommend a seafood tapas lunch at Vista Al Mar and take a tour of the town. Valencia tour was excellent, but it's 1.5 hours away, so it's a long day trip. Thank you Antonio and team for a fabulous vacation!

Wow, what a trip! We stayed at Villa Atalaya in Peñíscola and it was just perfect! 😍 The villa is huge, for up too 16 people — we were 10 people and had so much space to chill and have fun. Big comfy bedrooms, with bathroom (no fighting over showers 😂), a giant indoor & outdoor kitchen, private pool, fast Wi-Fi, aircon everywhere, secure parking... and the views from the terraces are just amazing. We were obsessed with the sports setup too — mainly tennis, basketball, fitness room — we used them all the time! 🎾🏀💪 And the service? Next level. We could easily get meals delivered, or even have a chef come and cook for us at home (seriously, it felt like living in a dream!). Plus they helped set up excursions and activities whenever we wanted — super chill and stress-free. Peñíscola itself is stunning — a super cute village full of awesome restaurants, cool clubs, and beach clubs where you can party or just relax. 🌴🍹🌊 Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. If you're looking for the perfect place to stay with friends or family, this is it. 10/10, we’ll be back for sure!!
