Villa Bakery Cafe is a family owned Brazilian bakery with fresh food and amazing acai bowls. The owner and her daughter speak both Portugese and English and are incredibly helpful. I knew I loved pao de queijo (Brasilian cheese bread), but they opened my eyes to so much more!
I now know that I also LOVE esfihas with ham, cheese and tomato as well as empadinhas.
The rosca paes brasileiros is also unbelievable, which is a type of sweet Brazilian bread. It was so delicious with my cup of authentic Brazilian 3 coracoes coffee.
I also have to call out the salpicao which is a chicken salad with apple, olives and corn. It was the BEST chicken salad I have EVER had. It would be delicious on their fresh bread followed with arroz doce which is rice pudding. They also had mingau de milho verde which was corn pudding as well as mousse de maracuja (passion fruit pudding); both make for the perfect treat.
Panqueca, which was a very thin pancake stuffed with chicken and topped with a cream and red sauce, was also going to be something I crave ALL the time.
Thank you Gabriella and Veve for bringing a new authentic, family owned bakery to Brighton, it is just what we need to keep the charm this city has had for so so long.
I cannot wait for my next visit! I already know what I am getting :)
