"During the Secret War, [this hotel] was the offices for USAID, America's foreign aid mission," says Tony. He had lunch here with the hotel owner, Mama Vahn, who made the meal, "an elaborate spread of dishes whose recipes are left over from imperial times." They had lon song, a fish from the Mekong River, cooked with shallots, garlic, chili, coconut milk, and pork; river crab, fish with pork grilled in banana leaves, ginger sauce, pork skin, and sticky rice.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff. There was no aspect of my stay that wasn't exceptional. The facilities are immaculate with plenty to keep you occupied - whether you want to unwind by the beautiful pool, relax at the spa or even explore the turtle rehab centre. The hotel's location makes most things very walkable but, if you're not up to it, there is a complementary shuttle service to get you to the city centre and back. They will also provide transfers to/from the airport or train station. The courtyard suite (which I was upgraded to) was large, extremely comfortable, and clean. Everything felt state of the art. The staff was always very attentive and responsive. They're able to arrange excursions or point you in the direction you need to go. Food at the restaurant was great as well, and service at the spa was excellent.

This was a truly wonderful hotel! The service was unmatched, and the staff was very kind and welcoming. We utilized multiple services while we were at the hotel, including the breakfast (which had a delicious spread and was included in our stay), car rides into town (which we didn't use too often since most things were within walking distance), laundry services (which were more expensive than taking it to a laundromat ourselves, but we went with the convenient option), airport pickup, and train station drop off. We also rented an electric car through the hotel to take a day trip to Kuang Si Falls (which I highly recommend). We booked directly with the hotel for our reservation and were given a free 1 hour massage. We reserved a couples massage (half off with the coupon promo), and it ended up being one of the best messages we've had.||The pool was too cold for swimming (although some brave guests were), but it was still plenty warm enough to have cocktails and snacks on one of the pool lounge chairs. The hotel property is beautiful with the pool as well as the various turtle ponds, and it made for a very relaxing environment.||We had a minor hiccup in our departure plans (not related to anything coordinated with the hotel) and needed to stay another night in Luang Prabang. The room we were already in was not available another night, but the hotel staff made our transition to another room seamless by holding our luggage until we could check into our new room. It was also very easy for them to transfer our previous reservation information. I was actually quite happy to be able to stay here another night!||From the online pictures some of the rooms showed a full glass window view from the bedroom into the bathroom. I avoided this room type since I didn't want a room setup like this, but the second room we stayed in had this feature. There was a switch in the bathroom that could make the glass clear or opaque, so this was actually a non-issue. I only mention this so other guests aren't deterred from picking these rooms!||I highly recommend this hotel to others when staying in Luang Prabang.

One of the most exceptional places I’ve had the pleasure of staying. The staff are amazing. The building is amazing and with such a rich history. The facilities are wonderful including the spa. There’s a free shuttle service around the town which is all E-Vehicles. The bar is well stocked and food very nice. The rooms are beautiful and very luxurious. Look forward to coming back.

we had the joy of staying here for 3night and it was the most wonderful experience. From the vintage cars to the solar panels and electric vehicles. The hotel definitely put alot of effort into the sustainability. ||The services were impeccable with jaikeo front desk manager helping us arrange our trip to sunset cruise and transferring us to the city on our whims and back. ||The romantic atmosphere of the hotel shines through as we dined in the courtyard in the evening with lovely service staff and exceptional food. Spa was really good and reasonably priced as well starting from 20usd. my favourite therapist was mone and i did twice. ||Overall a memorable trip 10/10

I love everything about this hotel. I actually booked it at the very last minute as I had to cancelled the other hotel due to incorrect date. Room was so spacious, very clean, and the breakfast spread was not bad too. If you are vegetarian, you may ask them to make new ones if they have it. Pool was really great, staff was extremely helpful & friendly. Do not worry if the location is just a bit out of the centre, they have free shuttle services & pick up too. The spa massage was amazing too. And i love that they also provide free shuttle to train station or airport if you stay 2 nights. Do not hesitate to book this hotel!

Best hotel we have ever stayed in, I wish we could give more than 5 stars. They have thought of everything you need as a guest for a comfortable stay and the high class shows. If you stay 2 or more nights you get transfers to the airport or train station complimentary which is great. The hotel has shuttles to run you around the city from 6am to 10pm in an old fashioned car. They have an on site bakery/cafe and lovely bistro. We stayed in the courtyard suite overlooking the pool which was very comfortable with a huge bath. Electric vehicles are available to hire and the spa is very good quality and reasonably priced. The staff in every area are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. On check out we got a little cookie gift for Christmas. I would suggest this hotel to anyone if staying in the area. It’s only about 15 minutes to walk to the night market if you didn’t want the shuttle.

Such a wonderful experience. Every detail and comfort is catered to. I wish I could have stayed longer. A very special thanks to Noy who served me coffee at the coffee shop and helped me to learn some Laotian language. Also, I loved the day spa and massages. The breakfast was delicious. A great hotel.

What a treat to stay here! Room was huge - but truly it is the staff that makes you feel so welcome and special. The food was outstanding and loved the history of the place. Great location - just far enough that it was a quiet, peaceful respite but totally walking distance to everything. The pool set up is a little strange - but other than that it was great!
