Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel + Retreat

Villa Blanca is so beautiful - the rooms are comfortable and stylish, the fireplaces are so cozy and wonderful. We had made an error in our booking and Romina was so helpful in assisting us in getting it sorted out. The trails are great and the frog house is amazing - I can’t wait to come back and stay again!

This place is otherworldly. The serenity and peace as well as the attention to detail is incredible at the price point (we stayed in the Silencio Suite). My husband and I were so happy to rest here and cannot wait to come back. I have a gluten allergy and it was 100% accommodated, and the food is tremendous. We enjoyed wonderful massages, frog watching at night, and a movie in the cinema on site. Additionally, my husband called in advance and they surprised me with fresh flowers and a roaring fire in our room when we arrived. The drive is a bit bumpy but the setting is worth it. They offer free activities every morning and afternoon. Our guide Jose helped us plant a tree and it was so special. Wonderful time, start to finish. Don’t miss the trails, Avatar tree, and hummingbird garden!

This hotel stay was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms were extremely depressing and outdated. My bedding, toilet paper, towels and all my clothes were constantly damp because of the humidity, and the hotel didn’t put a dehumidifier in my room; I later found out that other rooms had dehumidifiers, but not mine. Also, my room was very dirty, with dried blood on one of the bedside lampshades which made me feel very uncomfortable. (The attached picture is blurry as it’s a screenshot from a video)
