Great selection of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and awesome staff who will greet you with a smile! Food is always delicious. It can get a bit busy, but the line moves quickly. Been going here for years with my family, it's always a pleasure to walk in and make small talk with the staff. Shout-out to Hector! 😄

Awesome food, awesome service, good prices. Their pancakes sometimes come out a little weird, like one day they were sunflower yellow and insanely chewy, to the point I couldn't rip through them with a fork. Everything else has been great, though.

Great place for delivery and to eat in their wings are nice and crispy and flavorful and their sandwiches are great also! Staff is genuinely nice good people , especially the older gentlemen who is the delivery guy I order so often my dogs know him Haha! Real pleasant man, and easy going ordering over the phone would highly recommend this place especially since we dont have too much around here in montrose it is an absolute hidden gem !

Just found this place, what a gem. So far everything has been super fresh and delicious. Tried to dedicate a wall of the house to the take home menu but the mrs wouldn't let me. Highly recommend.

I've had several sandwiches here. All of them were delicious and the quality is what I'd expect from a local deli in New York. Would come again.

So happy I decided to kill some time waiting for another store to open and went into Villa D'oro. They have a variety of specialty Italian sandwiches. I ordered mozzarella, prosciutto, Soppressata. Most places around here make very skimpy, overpriced sandwiches, but not Villa D'Oro. There was a good amount of meat, roll was soft, sandwich was delicious.

Fabulous! That's all I can say. We were looking for a spot to grab a quick bite before heading to the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze and happened to pass this deli. My son lives in PA now and LOVES delis, so we went in and were totally wowed by all the options and the friendly people! I don't know how I've not been to this gem before, but I have it on my list of MUST HAVES now! Our sandwiches were amazing, and I don't say that lightly! They also have a lot of baked goods, so I had to try a few of their cookies, and they were delish! Seriously going back for more soon!

The food is good but that isn't the issue. They advertise on their menu that they provide discounts for first responders and public servants. The last time I was being rung up, I asked for the discount they allegedly promise, the rude dude behind the counter said "We don't do that here anymore"... what? You advertise it on your menu and I went there multiple times a week without an issue. I told that tool he can keep his sandwich, I won't honor my pledge if you back out on yours. Don't promise something and ADVERTISE it unless you mean it. I've seen recurring bad reviews about this guy, bad service kills businesses. Frankly, Zio's down the street has better food and an amazing staff. Come here if you want a good sandwich served up by a douchebag with glasses.

Baciami il culo !!!! If you want to be treated RUDELY by the person behind the counter in English and Italian, this is the place FOR VOI !!! BACON EGG AND CHEESE - $3.25 "REGULAR CUP OF COFFEE" - $2.25 Walked in with my gentleman friend, a retired Veteran, he stepped up to the counter to order while I made my coffee. He ordered, and found out that a small cup of coffee comes with the order. We asked if we could pay the difference. The rude person behind the counter said " No substitutions". We said... we'll pay the difference. She said no substitutions again...then she stepped over to other people behind the counter and said first in English then in ITALIAN that I was a BITCH...and that my gentleman friend was an Asshole! How stupid were we...she told us twice NO SUBSTITUTIONS!!! OK...so.. he said..."Cancel my order...I'll just pay for the Coffee"...she didn't bat one LAZY eye!!!! Ciao Bella!!! We'll take our business anywhere but here!!! Oh... I'm a Social Media Influencer... How do you like me NOW??!

Whenever my girls are home from school, this is the FIRST lunch they ask for (Lunch Special/Fries). I have NEVER been unhappy with any of the sandwiches that I choose (and there are a LOT on the board). My wife also praises their chocolate Babka and tri-color cookies. To which I have been accused of snagging a few on the way home. Whenever we have work done on the house and the question of 'where can I get lunch?' comes up this is the place I head them towards.

I was visiting a store 2 miles away. A big yelper. But being Sunday asked a patron of store. If there were any Italian pastries close by. I followed him 2 miles and he pointed to Villa D'oro Italian deli and bakery. Am I glad. Chocolate babka individual size for $3.50 What a bargain. Apple turnover, blueberry crumb muffin, anisette cookies and chocolate almond biscotti. All fresh and excellent!! Can not wait to return and try other desserts! They all looked great!

They make the best, creative sandwiches. Their catering food is top notch; the eggplant parmigiana is my favorite! And they are the nicest people.

I ordered lunch today from Villa D'oro. I ordered a chicken Parm on a roll- WOW!!! It was absolutely delicious. I was thrilled to see three cutlets in my sandwich instead of the standard two. The cheese is melted perfectly and my sandwich was wonderful. Can't wait order from them again!

I am really a big fan of Villa D'oro. This is a true Italian bakery and deli. I will start by highlighting my favorite part, the baked goods! Everything is made in house!! The owner Joe comes from a family of bakers and makes all his own cookies, cakes, and pastries. Everything always tastes soo fresh! I love the tri-color cookies, and the other homemade Italian cookies. Also his case of meats and salads are wonderful. He also uses all Boars Head meats, which make for great sandwiches!!

Villa D'oro is a top notch Deli and bakery. The sandwiches are stacked with Boar's head meats and cheeses and they are served on some great bread. They carry a wide variety of salads and prepared foods which are of great quality. Anytime I need a cake for a special occasion I go here. The Tri-Color cookies are out of this world and the best I've ever had. Every time I go to a party I bring dozens of them and they're always the first to go. My friends and family beg me to bring them.

This is a true Italian bakery and deli, which manages to do both great sandwiches and great baked goods. I bought a selection of cookies and pastries for a visit with my grandma and it was disturbingly easy for the two of us to eat each delectable treat. In particular, I would recommend the raspberry rugelah, and probably the chocolate flavor too, as well as the linzer tortes and chocolate macaroons.

So many bakeries these days are just NOT what they used to be. D'oro is still a good, Italian bakery. They are clearly not cutting back on doing things in-house and authentically. It tastes like they are not cutting corners. Fresh and good. Great bakery, delicious rainbow (Neapolitan) cookies, among others. Don't waste the calories on baked goods that do not even taste legit. This place, however, is worth it. Also, the boyfriend loves their sandwiches, everything is authentic and tasty and plentiful.

Love their salads and sandwiches. Great little deli with amazing food and kind people.

This is our go to for breakfast sandwiches when we have early morning starts and no time to eat at home--just a heads up though to call ahead as their post-COVID hrs are slightly different than those listed here...

Sandwiches here are BOMB. You must try a Bronx boy. Have a bunch of Italian sopresottas to chose from. The cookies here are also great. Not many places in lower Westchester that you can find locally with an amazing quality and variety of cookies. They also have a hot bar lunch special which is a great price and quick stop before work

Great food, always fresh, and they have a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Chicken cutlet is amazing, bread is always fresh, breakfast sandwiches are tasty, pretty good coffee, and the bakery items I have tried have been good as well. My only small complaints are they are a little slow at times (but you always get fresh, made right then food) and there is one employee who is a bit rude. Call your order in ahead of time.

Legit love this deli. We live around the corner so it's especially dangerous, but I go every weekend and almost any day I work from home for lunch. Chicken cutlets are fantastic (our go-to). Folks who work in there are great too, it's a friendly local place. Prices are very reasonable. Blueberry pies at the holidays were a big hit this year too. I keep meaning to try all the other delis around but can't seem to make it past Villa.

When did Yelp become a stoning ground for someone posting their HONEST opinion of this place. Its funny, that everyone who crucified poor Cathy for her review gave Villa D'oro 5 five stars, yet this is the only place that they have reviewed. Do I smell an angry owner who wrote raving reviews about his own business? Or did they get their friends to sign up to write about how wonderful they are? I too, attended this event with my seven year old sons and mother in law since I thought it truly was a grand opening. Grand Opening? New Management? The faces present at this so-called Grand Opening were the same faces when this place opened up i think about two years ago. The last time I was at Villa D'oro, about two months ago, I went for breakfast with my boys. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, and they had egg sandwiches. My bagel was hard. The egg sandwich was ok, but not made to order since I asked for scrambled and got overly fried egg. Since my mother in law was in for the weekend, I decided to give them another shot and attend the grand opening only to find the same old people there. Food was ok, but again, service was rude and impatient. I picked up their so-called famous bobka which I think who was the owner, kept pushing me to buy. Not sure why its famous. Bobka should be baked in a loaf pan, but what do you expect from an ITALIAN deli?

Wide variety of hot & cold sandwiches, great fries. Breakfast sandwiches too. Everything is made fresh to order. They have Terranova Italian bread. Delicious treats from their bakery - best apple turnovers. Love their Black & White cookies and rainbow cookies. Friendly service. Great food.

Have had a number of subs from here, and all were very good. BUT I still slightly prefer A&S a short way down the road. Although their menu isn't as extensive, but why have 20 very similar subs all named after a character in the Godfather? A&S simply does a terrific Italian Sub -- if you want to hold the onion & add olives, no problem.

I had an event yesterday, that over 60 people attended and all of the food was supplied by Villa D'Oro. Food arrived on time, and almost every person complimented the food during the event and on the way out. We had hot food, (the eggplant parm was AMAZING) 2 types of wedges, grilled vegetables and a fantastick salad. Pleanty of bread, potato and macaroni salad on the side and everything was simply perfect. Thanks!

This place is the absolute best. If you want a sandwich, they have dozens to choose from, they are high quality and they are huge and for $9.50 you can't find a better deal. I'd eat here every day but my waistline can't afford it.

ordered a 3 foot hero for superbowl and what a BIG dissapointment! Where's the meat ! And did you know you can slice tomatoes thinner than the meat! The lettuce was non-exisiting. Whats an italian hero without roast red peppers. Customer service was lacking to say the least! Yeah, blame it on the customer, the people behind the counter should've asked if I wanted any other sandwich condiments! Although they gave me this great big container of the dressing ( I guess they knew the sandwich was going to be dry since they did not put all the yummy stuff that is supposed to be in an italian hero). Well you know I will never ever be ordering from them again! When I called all they can say was "sorry,you should've asked", well I say YOU should've asked! BAD Customer Service and sandwich! Oh yeah, they used ribbon to tie up the sandwich so that it wouldn't fall apart BUT there was nothing in the sandwich to make it fall apart. So the ribbon was nice but not necesary.

To the comment made by christina j I've never had a bad experience nor a bad sandwich or dinner from villa doro but if you're looking for a bologna sandwich then maybe Montrose Deli is the right place for you Looking at your negative posts of other food establishments it looks like you are very hard to please. Give them a break or talk to the owner they are very accommodating and always willing to please their customers My family will only eat at villa doro Thry rock!

Yummy delicious pastries and cappucino! Perfect location for me when I am working across the road at Opal Moon Wellness Center. My kids love it too!

The atmosphere is welcoming. The sweets, meats and daily lunches and soups all offer a great selection and taste. Prices are reasonable and an overall great place to eat and shop.

Villa D'oro is a very good deli/bakery lying on Albany Road in Croton. I am a Southern Westchester resident, but was told I needed to try this place. The first time I had my sandwich combo with fries and a drink; I was more than satisfied. I am a fan of their chicken cutlet as well as their quality bread. I like the addition of having the choice to choose a combo deal for a cheap cost. I got prosciutto, chicken cutlet, fresh mozz, olive oil and pesto on a wedge. I liked everything in the sandwich except for the pesto. The pesto was a little too oily for me and it altered the flavor. Other than that the sandwich was fantastic. It's an added bonus that Villa D'oro is half a bakery. They have an array of Italian pastries. I've heard through the grapevine that the pignoli cookies are to die for. However, I can only speculate as I have not tried them yet. I have had a cannoli which was not pre filled. They filled the shell with the ricotta right there for me and that's the best way to do it. They had the hot sopressatta soaking in olive oil with rosemary. I had one of them and it was amazing. Along with a deli section and a bakery, in the center was other imported products such as pastas, olive oil, and tomatoes etc. I have not been to that many deli's in northern westchester. But Villa D'oro beats any deli that I have been to in that area. I was able to fully embrace the authenticity of the deli by enjoying the top quality ingredients. That's what Italian food is all about

We've had cookies, pastries and sandwiches from here and love them. The help is very friendly, and they take great care with their products. My son's (current) favorite meal of all time is their meatball parm hero and I have to admit that it's a cut above the normal. The new owners are new as of about four months ago, so the review from yesterday is unnecessarily pessimistic. Our experience over the past few months indicate that they have been doing a good job. I'd highly recommend in it's current incarnation. I'm happy to have them in the neighborhood.

Great food and friendly staff. I stop here almost every morning for breakfast and occasionally for lunch/dinner. Try the Mediterranean Club... so good.

Graduation Cake - Chocolate 1/2 Cannoli Cream & 1/2 chocolate pudding... delicious - moist cake... no left-overs!!!

The food is not that great and the service is TERRIBLE. They get orders wrong ALL THE TIME. Montrose Deli is a much better bet.
