Villa Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik, Croatia - Explore & Book

"From the moment we stepped into the glass lift and swept down to Villa Dubrovnik’s spotless pale stone reception, we knew we were in for a treat. With its modernist rooms, chic spa and wonderfully atmospheric restaurant, this is the perfect romantic retreat. Each room comes with a private terrace facing the sea and sleek glass bathrooms; select suites have private whirlpool baths. Built into the rocky coastline just outside Europe’s best-preserved medieval walled cities, the hotel is blissfully peaceful and secluded. Soak up some culture amongst the marble cobbles and open-air cafés of Dubrovnik Old Town, before returning to unwind on the hotel’s beach or in its world-class spa. As dusk falls, ascend to the cool rooftop bar for sunset cocktails overlooking the Adriatic and Lokrum Island. Our favourite moments were spent over dinner on the alfresco restaurant terrace; lights twinkled in the trees as we dined on exquisite Mediterranean cuisine, captivated by the moonlit sea and the distant glowing walls of the Old Town. Highs Excellent service from the pleasant and knowledgeable staff - our dinner was accompanied by some exquisite local wine thanks to our waiter’s recommendations Walking distance from the Old Town but blissfully removed from the hordes A private beach area with steps into the sea and a pretty garden for lounging and alfresco breakfasts An outstanding spa, with a huge range of treatments (massages, facials, mud therapies) and a sauna, steam room and large indoor pool Romantic rooms and private terraces; some also have Jacuzzis or private gardens - honeymoon heaven Lows The hotel is tucked down some particularly narrow streets so drivers will need to have their wits about them, but there’s good private parking once you get there Though all rooms have their own balcony, some are more private than others (the Comfort Room is the only one without sea views) The hotel’s beach is a rocky outcrop where guests can sunbathe and swim, but don’t expect sand or shallow water This kind of luxury doesn't come cheap We haven't visited since its recent facelift, but the renders look gorgeous (photo shoot due in December 2025)" - Melissa Burfitt

"The way Dubrovnik has exploded onto the international travel scene, you might expect to see a massive amount of brand-new development. More cheering is the sight of some characterful old faces getting a bit of a makeover — old faces like the Hotel Villa Dubrovnik, long a fixture on the Croatian seaside, surveying the old city and the waters of the Adriatic from its late-modernist cliffside perch, in what's possibly Dubrovnik’s prime location." - Tablet Hotels

"Built into steep cliffs overlooking the azure Adriatic, this minimalist white hotel was reconstructed in 2010. All 56 rooms have a contemporary design, glass-walled bathrooms with under-floor heating, and private sea-view terraces (some with Jacuzzi). It suits sophisticated couples who want to explore Dubrovnik’s medieval historic centre, while also indulging in 21st-century luxuries – a spa with an indoor pool, a chic rooftop wine bar, and creative Mediterranean cuisine. Enjoy a la carte breakfast on the pine-shaded restaurant terrace, swim, then slumber below a white parasol on the rocks above the sea. It’s a 15-minute walk from Dubrovnik’s old town. We just checked out of a three night stay at the newly renovated Villa Dubrovnik. Everything was exceptional! The food was great and the views all around the hotel were breathtaking. The hotel was immaculate and the service was professional and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate any requests. Two of our bags were lost by Delta and the reception at the hotel called the airport to coordinate transfer of our bags to the hotel when they were found. Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel simply put is absolute perfection! There is no better place in Dubrovnik or quite frankly anywhere!!The hotel is stunning, immaculate, friendly and professional. The concierge team is the best I’ve ever experienced which made the experience that much more elevated. Maria is attention to detail, knowledgeable and no request is too big. This Villa team understands their clients needs and adjusts to them accordingly. I travel frequently and quite honestly this is the best of the best, period. The views from the bedroom balcony and breakfast are priceless. The beach is an amazing spot to spend the afternoon.Rent a boat and do a private cave tour then head to Bowa for lunch. Let’s not forget the spa, services are top notch and the steam/sauna are fantastic. The hotel was at capacity but you never felt that way st all. Honestly I can go on about this hotel. If you’re looking for a boutique hotel, exceptional service and views and stunning in every way, this is for you. 5 stars isn’t enough…|Thank you to Maria and the entire staff at Villa, we created the most incredible memories. Miss you already!!!

This place has beautiful breath taking views both inside and out! It's perched on a cliff over looking the Adriatic Sea. They offer a free three course lunch and free shuttle service. Their roof top wine bar is sublime especially at sunset when the birds (swallows?) swirl in the sky. I enjoyed the sauna, and the nightly chocolate treat near the bed. Nice touch. This place would be exceptional if you are really into TV as it sits right at the foot of the bed! For me though, I found it unusual and certainly unnecessary, especially considering your view out the balcony. The balcony was breath taking but did not have a handle to get back into the room,.... I felt bad smearing the spotless window each time I needed to get back into my room. On our departure, I found out that they are going to be doing some remodeling,.... My hope is that they ditch the TV altogether, or at least mount it to a wall, install bidets on the toilet, and they provide handles on the balcony.

I had heard wonderful things about the hotel however I was disappointed. This was definitely not a "luxury" experience. I booked one of their ocean view deluxe rooms. When I first got to my room there were ants crawling all over the bathroom. Housekeeping came up and sprayed (photo of spray left in case they came back) which did clear up the problem but was definitely put off. The bathroom and shower were awful. To shower you had to climb into a tub and there was only a small hand held nozzle. Nothing Luxurious here! The Parking was an issue and there is not an attendant to help. Finally the hotel is not that close to town and you have to walk down a narrow path with cars and motorcycles speeding passed. The shuttle does not start running until after 3 PM and then only once an hour. For the money that was charged I have had better service and bathrooms in a Holiday Inn!

We came for a three night stay as a base to explore Dubrovnik before moving on and booked what they call their “standard suite". ||We loved:-||- the location of the hotel. Close to the action, but removed enough to be quiet.|- the staff. They all went out of their way to be helpful & friendly.|- the food. On our first night we eat in and found the quality of the food really good.|- our suite. Which was, for us, exactly what we wanted. It only caught the afternoon sun and then late in the day. But being the 4th floor you had great views of the old town and the sunset.||Overall, a really lovely experience. So would we go back - YES.||Now I know they’re about to close for a big refurb and can understand why. Certain areas and things do need a refresh and updating.

This place can only be rated a "5" - it's an amazing place. The location is great - walking distance to the old Town, and right on the gorgeous water. Rooms are very nice - spacious, clean, updated, and great views of the water. Food is really well done as well - always fresh and delicious. The "beach" area is great too. The water is so clear and great to jump into to cool down - it's a fantastic spot.| And the people are fantastic. They are over the top nice, and helpful. They really are fantastic. This was our second time staying here and it was equally great both times. Can't wait to go back again, and we don't say that about too many places (not that we're negative on places, we just like to try new ones).
