Villa Gallici

"Luxury and tradition with not a hint of ostentation. Sun - drenched French cuisine to relish around the coffee tables of the superb salons or next to the plane trees on the pretty terrace. They have even fitted out a stylish wine cellar where you can sample a few vintage wines. The spirit of the South of France!" - Michelin Inspector

Villa Gallici

"Housed in an 18th-century mansion surrounded by lavender and cypress trees, this Relais & Chateaux property is a draw for both its proximity to Aix-en-Provence (it's a 15-minute walk to Cours Mirabeau) and quiet, countryside seclusion. The 23 rooms and suites have either a private garden or views of the sprawling grounds, and each one is outfitted in toile, cream, and crimson Louis XV furnishings. The outdoor pool is, of course, a highlight, as is the on-site wine cellar and spa. Head to the restaurant for a seasonal menu that pairs Provençale, French, and Mediterranean dishes with Bordeaux, Burgundy, and local wines—all served on the terrace during the summer."

Rooms are huge, chic, comfortable and cozy. Garden has many art pieces and beauty.| I would like to come back next summer to enjoy again this magical hotel that gave me good vibes where I elevated my spirit inside this brilliant atmosphere. |I would like to thank you guys to this unforgettable stay.

We only tried the restaurant which was sublime. Perhaps to improve the service staff could be more attentive to serving water at the table. And for the kitchen to carry out better control checks for the dishes to avoid accidents. The food was outstanding. We had a lovely experience and we will definitely go back.

I have been at Villa Gallici the first time and had to leave after three days to another hotel, due to some pre-reservations. Arrived at the other hotel, I missed Villa Gallici from the first second on. The staff is of incredible warmth and the place gives you the feeling of staying in a private house with the hosts really being interested in your thoughts and well-being rather than just seeing it as a job. I had the impression of true passion and the special and unique character of the house underline the impression. The location of the Villa is also exceptionally good and lets you walk to all major sights within approx. ten minutes, very convenient in a city like Aix, where most of the old town is restricted for cars. All in all it was a pleasant and positive surprising stay that I have not expected and I can’t wait to come back!!!

Villa Gallici is lovely, perfect for our first trip to the south of France. We stayed in a deluxe room with a few overlooking the gardens. Breakfast and dinner on the terrace are not to be missed, it’s a beautiful setting. Our room was very quiet, with blackout curtains for sleeping.||Villa Gallici is about a 12 minute walk into the center of Aix-en-Provence with a slight grade on the restrung walk. Taxi cabs and Ubers are pretty easily available if you don’t want to walk.

Elegant hotel with phenomenal service. This became our haven and base in Aix and we took advantage of every offering. The spacious room with terrace, welcome gifts and messages, a spa service, the pool, breakfast and dining in the evening. All was just wonderful. The property is filled with beautiful art and sculptures. The dining experience was elegant, all the food was served and presented beautifully. Only caution about the dinner was if you have a large appetite you'll be a bit disappointed. The portions are very small. This was fine for us. The breakfast buffet is incredible. The morning manager of it was so pleasant and funny. Language barrier between us but we laughed through it.

We were not thrilled with this hotel, especially for the price. While it is beautiful and the staff was friendly, it feels like they are cutting costs. While it may fit the taste of others, our meal in the gourmet restaurant was a big disappointment. Too many flavors in each dish that did not work well for us and the main course was overcooked. The manager was travelling so perhaps it would have been better if he had been there. Great location.

This is a 5 star hotel in an 18th century residence. We only ate dinner here but wish we were able to stay here. White table cloth, fine dining, multi course meal, over the top presentation in a comfortable living room like setting. Delicious!

We really enjoyed our Honeymoon stay. The accommodations are comfortable and breakfast was really relaxing and tasty. But what shines here is the hotel staff, they are all so charming , friendly , and hospitable. Michel and Guillaume brightened our mornings and Louise at the front desk helped our every need. Thanks again for a great stay.
