This was one of the places I wanted to visit in Switzerland! We were lucky to visit during their open hours! Since photography wasn’t allowed I only have pictures from the outside however you’d be busy mesmerized once you’re inside you would honestly forget about your phone. One of the staffs there, looked like a student worker, she was so so kind to guide us through the house and Le Corbusier’s intension behind design and more! Please do visit if you get a chance! All tixs must be purchased at the site so no advanced reservation needed!

Villa “Le Lac” is a stunning example of simplicity and functionality. This minimalistic house, spanning just 64 m², offers maximum comfort while providing breathtaking views of Lake Geneva. The charming garden features thoughtful details that ensure privacy and create a relaxing zone with a fantastic lake view. Built in 1923, the villa incorporates three key elements of 21st-century design: the open floor plan, ribbon windows, and a rooftop garden. Its aesthetic is incredibly cool and inspiring! This is a must-visit if you like architecture or if you just seeking a beautiful, tranquil escape. The villa is open to visitors from June to October—don’t miss it!

The facility was amazing. Exhibits showing the making of the Weisenhoff Exhibition were extremely well done. We did not take the guided tour but the displays had a plethora of information. It was a bucket list experience to be physically in one of Le Corbusier's buildings. It's a must-see in Stuttgart - Highly recommended!

Charming place to visit, not only for architectural lovers. Le Corbusier works are always worth of a visit, and this little house designed for his parents is a true jewel, framed in another jewel that is Lake Geneva.

This house from 1923 that Corbusier designed and built for his parents on the lake just before entering Vevey from the west can be visited Saturdays and Sundays from 14 to 17 only. If you are not a student you pay 14 CHF, students pay 2 CHF less which is a rip-off. The staff seems nervous that you are going to steal something, take a photo inside the house or put half your left foot on the lawn that is decorated with numerous signs telling you off. Presently there is a photo exhibition that was not well curated and would have been more interesting if the curator had restricted the number of photographs and the staff had been ready to tell you more about the history of the place. Despite having a heavy architectural heritage and loving Corbusier's Ronchamp, I did not really find this visit particularly interesting.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Villa Le Lac, also known as the Villa "Le Lac" Le Corbusier, a stunning residential building poised on the shores of Lake Geneva in Corseaux, Switzerland. The genius of Swiss architects and cousins Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret is distinctly showcased in the design of this home, which was crafted between 1923 and 1924, intended originally for Le Corbusier's parents. The villa is an epitome of modern architectural design, with a keen focus on Le Corbusier's famous Five Points of Architecture, three of which are beautifully illustrated here. It's not surprising that it holds the title of a Swiss Cultural Property of National Significance and proudly joined the ranks of the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2016. This architectural marvel is a must-see for anyone intrigued by the intersection of heritage, design, and natural beauty. Cost of entry is CHF14.-.

This small villa of just 4 X 16 m is an interesting example of Corbusier's minimalistic style, started almost a century ago. Budget around 30 min for the visit. Free parking on the road.

Fabulous home from the famous Swiss architect, designed for and inhabited by his parents. Guides are really knowledgeable and friendly. Don't leave the time machine without enjoying free tea in the garden!
