Villa Le Prata - Residenza del Vescovo

My husband and I stayed at Villa Le Prata for the second part of our honeymoon and it was perfectly luxurious. They thought of every detail. Our first floor room was spacious, spotless, and had a beautiful scenic view. While it was too cold for the pool, we enjoyed the jacuzzi overlooking the vineyard. On our rainy day we loved the living area outside our room to play chess and relax with a bottle of wine. The brunello and olive oil they make are phenomenal. It was fun and interesting to learn about them in the included wine tasting. Minnie and the other staff were so helpful in scheduling and making calls for us in Italian. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had the most marvelous time staying at Villa le Prata! The staff’s attentiveness from before our stay to during was unbeatable. From last minute dinner pivots, to delicious homemade breakfast, to the VIEWS - this incredible place was the best home base as we explored Tuscany.

SORRY FOR THE LATE REVIEW - I don't really know where to start the entire stay was incredible. The staff including Minnie and the front office were one of the best hospitality staff i have ever come across. The property was beautiful, quiet, and peaceful and the wine and food were 11/10. The owner of the property can frequently be seen manicuring the vineyard with her staff the landscaping was immaculate. They have breakfast which includes delicious pies and pastries, my wife and I overslept the night after a wedding because breakfast ends around 10-10:30ish and the owner of the property personally brought out the food that was put away and made us plates. The owner had family over staying in a private section of the property and were having a lunch that was for the family not guests Pasta, breads, pizza. While we were eating breakfast the owner came over to us and offered us food from their table for no charge she treated us like family. The rooms were bigger than any standard hotel room you will find in the entire country with a walk in closet, sitting area, and stunning bathroom. It honestly reminded me of a home not a hotel and the views out of the room overlook all of Montalcino. I will be back at some point in the future 10000%, stay here if you are staying in Montalcino.

We visited Villa le Prata for a pasta cooking class and a Brunello tasting. The time we spent cooking together was amazing, Francesca and Nico (with whom we had the lesson) are wonderful people! The wines at the tasting were delicious. I highly recommend Villa le Prata for both cooking classes and wine tastings, as well as for a stay during your vacation. The place is incredible!

Villa Le Prata was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The staff was attentive and communicative and incredibly welcoming from the beginning. The property is stunning and the views of the sunset from the pool are unmatched. The breakfast was always delicious and they made the best cappuccino in Italy. I learned so much about their philosophy during our wine tasting and the Brunello was great! With daily shuttle service into town, it was very easy to plan dinners and feel comfortable getting there and back. I truly could not recommend this place enough. My husband and I had the most wonderful stay.

What a wonderful experience! We had just come from a very busy Rome full of tourists, noise, traffic, heat, just to arrive at this wonderful, quiet and idyllic place in the middle of nature with the sound of birds. We stayed just for lunch, because we were on our way to Siena, and we felt so welcomed and so relieved to breath fresh air, taste incredible wine and eat such simple and delicious food. It was perfection! We were in five people, and we all loved it. The staff is great and even the cat — who kept us company during all lunch, just laying down there by our sides — even the cat is friendly.

What a charm!!! We loved every moment of being at Villa le Prata! The Villa is just a few minutes drive from Montalcino with some spectacular views of rolling hills and cypresses! Our room was called Tirso and had beautiful sunrise views from all the windows as well as the sunset views! The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were BIG and everything was super! We had a delicious Brunello wine which was a complimentary wine, in our room when we arrived! The hotel director gave us some excellent tips to explore the nearby towns and villas which we enjoyed tremendously! The chef made some delicious food and the wine tasting was so much fun! All and all, we had a fantastic stay and we highly recommend it! We will definitely go back!

We had an absolutely magical stay. We felt so welcomed. Every detail was perfect. Our room had the best shower we have ever had. The breakfast was exquisite and the wines were elegant. Do take the cooking class. You will learn a lot and have a delicious feast for dinner.
