Villa Morelia

"Villa Morelia exudes a certain discreet charm. The setting offsets the refined, tasty and inventive market - based cuisine. You can really taste the freshness and savour the flavours." - Michelin Inspector

We went to the town to attend to an authentic annual Mexican festival. The accommodation was excellent and the owner was really attentive and friendly with a great attention to customer experience. The surrounding gardens were a pleasure to sit and relax drinking a cold bier. The restaurant in the Chateau was way above standard. A great place to base yourself to explore the surrounding areas. Will go again and try and room with a balcony.

A fantastic hotel which we found by chance. The room was superb, with great outlook to garden and mountains. The pool and outside bar very cool! Robert and his team were superb and Robert arranged to get my car washed as it was dirty. Food as spectacular with an extensive wine list. We stayed for one night, we will he back and will stay longer next time. Thank you for a superb stay. Steve and Jan.

Beautiful hotel. Full of charm. Beautiful grounds and pool. Outdoor bar with fantastic views. The food is absolutely outstanding. We have stayed in rooms 4 and 201 on the two occasions . They are beautiful and well equipped. I'm looking forward to our next visit. Thank you

A gem. A very warm welcome, after a long day cycling. A lovely modern room in the new annexe and then a delicious meal, especially the asparagus. After a very comfy night a morning swim before a glorious breakfast set us up for another day in the saddle climbing Col d’Bonnette

PRO'S: Villa Morelia has the valley's only excellent room facilities. Large modern rooms, excellent views and lovely romantic grounds. The complimentary full breakfast was excellent. CON'S: Hotel service did not offer to help with luggage SUMMARY: Vila Morelia Hotel is an excellent place to stay in this valley.

Jausier is in a valley surrounded by snow capped mountains. A river runs through it. Villa Morelia is a well designed hotel with an excellent restaurant. We enjoyed 2 creative and delicious dinners and 2 buffet breakfasts. Our room overlooked the garden with a snowy mountain backdrop. It was very comfortable and worked well for us. ||There are many walking options on fairly easy trails though more difficult routes abound . We felt as we made a discovery of this location.

Charming and characterful hotel nestled at the bottom of Col de la Bonette. Staff and service are always excellent, food is as good as it gets, garden bar and swimming pool are like the Bermuda Triangle, time just seems to disappear. We’ve been coming here for years and will continue to return year after year. It’s an oasis of luxury and tranquility.

A short but lovely stay. The place is beautiful, the rooms nicely appointed. The owner and the whole staff were really making the stay enjoyable. We had a dinner at the restaurant and the chef does a wonderful job. The cuisine is refined, but at the same time not boring and the service was impeccable. It was a bit windy so we could not have the aperitif in the garden, a pity because the spirit selection is great. Ask the owner about the history of the place, it is worth it. Definitely a place we would love to visit again
