The Best Bars In Berlin - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Although the cocktail and wine selection at Villa Neukölln is nothing to write home about, this cheap, cozy, late-night drinking spot housed in a former movie theater is one of the most reliable bars in the area. It’s a bit of a time vortex—if you squint hard enough, you can just about make out century-old scenes. The grand main room, with jazz club tables gathered around a velvet curtain-draped stage, has the faded glamor of a bygone era that’s typical of Berlin bars. They host shows, concerts, and a weekly swing night, but Villa Neukölln is best late on a Friday night with a big group and a bunch of pilsners." - olivia ladanyi

Swing night was super. It's a vintage, charming Berlin-style venue with affordable prices. The people who attend are generally nice, but if you sit outside, please be careful of those who ask for money! They might try to steal your phone from the table while you're asking for help with a piece of paper! The venue owner should take precautions against this!

Pretty tidy gaff, warm radiators, lovely candles. Staff are funny, good banter if you’re German, even better if you don’t speak the language. Beers came quick, played a crossword and drank a coffee.

Went here with some friends a few nights ago and we had a really nice time. The place was lively, the music wasn't loud but also wasnt great, and the service was decent considering its Berlin. Went back the next day and I couldn't even get a drink without a table. Disappointed. Might be back.

The atmosphere is great, but there are many pickpockets around. You don’t see many comments about it here, but people, please take care of your belongings. They steal in front of your eyes. The management should also take action against this, with a security or something.

Great vibe, lighting and crowd. Highly recommend, especially when the back hall is open. You’ll feel transported to another era and placed right at ease! Perfect for the winter and they apparently have live music events and swing dancing evenings.

Good drinks at decent prices with friendly and attentive service. Looks pretty unassuming and small from outside but opens into a massive ballroom in the back with loads of seating. Fun, hip crowd and shabby-chic interior. 100% Neukölln.

Google
Great vibe and reasonably priced drinks. Service was actually really nice for Berlin standards.

The cocktails are delicious, prices are normal, the staff is friendly, and the service time is normal/fast. The decoration is pleasant; I would like to visit again.

Yelp
A very cool bar/venue space not far from the Boddinatraße Ubahn. It's perfectly fine to stop here for some drinks with friends, and if you'd like you can check out one of the rotating musical acts in the lovely, cozy hall in the back. The bartenders are friendly and very competent, even if the drinks tend towards middle-brow. This isn't the type of place you'd come for high-end cocktails, but for the area and price point, that's totally fine.

Yelp
Great (live) music, (swing) dancing in the back room some nights of the week, gorgeous interior and atmosphere, amazing drinks, outdoor seating, right next to the train -- it's perfection. Favorite bar -- it has it all, truly.

Yelp
As far as I can tell, this place popped on the corner of Hermannstrasse and Biebricher Straße quite recently at some point this summer. On my way to get a drink at a neighboring bar, I saw this place and decided to sit in their cofy vintage furniture outside with a beer. Honestly, the place looks exactly like 3 or 4 other bars that have cropped up in Boddinstrasse: random furniture from the nearest Flohmarkt, just one Pilsner on tap, a shabby paint job and bartenders that are sweet and almost too relaxed. Some people get really annoyed by these type of Berlin bars and frown down upon these sorts of establishments. Personally, I actually enjoy them, especially when comparing them with the type of sterile bars popping up in Mitte. Everything is nicely understated and the atmosphere is condusive for a nice chat with a group of friends around some cheap beers. After all - what more do you really need? They seem to have some freshly-squeezed lemonade on the menu, but I will have to come back another time to give it a shot.

Yelp
Went to a comedy club, which was really fun, but we were ready to explore the night some more. Somebody recommended this place so we went. At firstwhen we stood in front of it we were hesitant to go in. Do not hesitate!! Very cozy atmosphere and all the tables have candles and a fresh rose! My whiskey sour was prepared with freaked squeezed lemons!!! The band was amazing! I'm in love.

Yelp
Non-smoking and smoking bar. Really chill and big. With a stage and live music. Good wine, good prices and they squeeze their lemons for the whiskey sour. Don't judge the bar by its cover (outside). Hidden gem

Yelp
Favourite Bar in NK. pretty full on weekends. great service and you can sit outside and watch people.

Yelp
Much like the other review I too stumbled across this one night. The furniture like a lot of other bars in Berlin. It looks like it has been taken out of your 80 year old grandmothers house. Or it's a second hand furniture shop that has been turned into a bar. The bar is very laid back, the staff are not intrusive. Drinks are of a reasonable price and standard.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great deco, proper service, and cheap beers. Definitely recommended for a fun night out!
