We stayed here a week and found it absolutely perfect - in my opinion you can spend more but you won’t *get* any more at another property. We’ve done some high end 5 star Tuscan places and honestly prefer Villa Poggiano, it’s a more authentic, relaxed vibe that really nails Tuscany. The breakfast is fantastic, very well curated. Lunch you can preorder a few items, the lasagnas are incredible (both of them), I’m not a huge lasagna person but they were *spectacular*. Pool is big and comfortable, so relaxing to listen to the wind blowing the trees. Guests were mostly couples when we were there. Cooking class is highly recommended, ended up being about 5 hours long, very well done. It’s actually possible to walk to Montepulciano only using small local roads (ask front desk for instructions). We did it a few times and it’s a beautiful relaxing walk, very safe being able to avoid the main road. I prefer not having a restaurant on-site, there are a bazillion incredible restaurants nearby, the times we have stayed at 5-star hotels in Tuscany with restaurants.. they’ve disappointed in quality. For one night we wanted to stay at the hotel and just did a simple wine/cheese setup from the local shops, amazing views all around. Really can’t recommend it enough, everything about the stay was perfect. The owner Stefania is always on top of everything and provides such a classy, gracious vibe, it’s like you’re visiting extended family.

Wow, where do I begin? Villa Poggiano is like if you’re in a movie or dream, beautiful historical villa & has the Tuscany landscape. This place is immaculate and the perfect destination to escape. We loved that it wasn’t packed & they do great job by preserving the ambience at the villa. Villa Poggiano brings serenity and is so romantic. All the staff is very welcoming and friendly, felt like you were at home. Max & Sam were the two dogs there that just added onto the charm & cozy feel. The owner noticed that my wife was coughing and attended to us by offering some lozenges. She was very sweet and thoughtful. Breakfast is great and pretty close to town. Our only regret is we couldn’t stay here longer. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend booking your next trip here. Pictures don’t do it justice.

When I think of Tuscany, the villas, the bucolic landscapes, Villa Poggiano immediately comes to mind. My wife and I first stayed at Villa Poggiano in 2008 and have returned several times over the years. It is a magic, memorable place. Our last visit was in 2018. Upon our return in May 2025, we were delighted to find the Villa in superb condition. Stefania has a keen eye for detail and is so gifted at meeting the needs of her clients. She also has the ability to surround herself with an amazing staff. Superb service has always been a hallmark at Villa Poggiano, but it seems that Stefania and her team have taken “service" to a new level. We cannot imagine staying anywhere else. The moment you drive through the iron gates and down the cypress tree lined driveway, a sense of peace and belonging envelope you. Brava Stefania! We will be returning to our adopted Italian home for years to come. Villa Poggiano is the ideal place to sense what life could be!

We had an exceptionally happy one-week vacation at Villa Poggiano during the last week of April. The beautiful grounds and the amazing views from our window each morning were unforgettable. Breakfast was delicious, and we deeply appreciated the warm welcome from the Villa's team, which made our visit so memorable. Its perfect location allowed easy visits to Pienza, Montepulciano, and other nearby towns. If you like quiet and being out in nature, then Villa Poggiano in Tuscany is a place we’d absolutely recommend.

My whole life as a traveller I have been on the search for a place which has all attributes and here I finally found it. It is not just the magic of the place itself and the politeness of the staff, it is also the closeness to a historic village, the culture of good gastronomy in the area and the luxury of taking a swim in the morning, after breakfast. I also learned an important lesson. I made a mistake with my friend by not respecting the check-out time (we never thought it could come the possibility that our room might have a guest coming earlier that day) and we caused trouble, unintentionally. The owner of the place knew exactly how to react, communicating firmly and politely that we had to respect the time. This happens only with highly experienced hotel owners who are fully involved in their work and strive toward perfection. I will go back there every time it will be possible.

We stayed at Villa Poggiano in September for part of our honeymoon trip and couldn't be happier with our stay. The grounds were beautiful - opening the window each morning to the sight of the Tuscan countryside was an amazing memory. Breakfast was delicious! Stefania and her team were very welcoming (thank you again for the celebratory bottle of wine!) and made our stay one to remember. It's a perfect location to visit many of the surrounding cities including Pienza and Montepulciano. They also offer many recommendations for tours and experiences that you do not want to pass on!

The detail & interior at the hotel is impeccable! A Beautiful and delicious breakfast on the lovely patio in the morning was so peaceful and such a lovely way to start the day. Attentive staff and all round great stay. Would highly recommend! We wished our stay was longer!

My stay at Villa Poggiano, a charming boutique hotel in the picturesque region of Tuscany near Montepulciano, was truly unforgettable. The drive to the villa was already impressive, with the landscape featuring rolling hills, sprawling vineyards, and olive groves, along with the stunning view of Montepulciano, setting a special tone for the entire stay. Upon arrival at the villa, we were greeted warmly and led up a beautiful driveway. A particularly convenient feature was being able to drive directly to our suite, which spared us from carrying our luggage. The suite itself was incredibly cozy and full of charm, perfectly reflecting the Tuscan style. One of the highlights was the pool area, where we had the chance to enjoy local wines and sparkling wines. The atmosphere around the pool was peaceful and relaxing, helping us quickly forget the stresses of everyday life. In the evenings, we took advantage of the villa's proximity to Montepulciano, which is only a five-minute drive away. The town offers numerous restaurants where you can enjoy excellent traditional Italian cuisine—a must for any visitor. Breakfast at Villa Poggiano was not particularly extensive, but the quality was outstanding. I especially appreciated the option to order fresh, made-to-order dishes that were prepared to perfection. Overall, the stay was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Villa Poggiano in Tuscany—it's a hidden gem for anyone seeking peace, nature, and culinary delight.
