Philly’s Best Italian Restaurants

"Since 1963, the throwback Villa di Roma has been an Italian Market favorite for hearty pasta dinners in a brick-walled space. The red sauce is so popular that the restaurant sells it by the jar. But it’s not just spaghetti here. The menu includes enough veal, seafood, chicken, sausage, and steak entrees to make choosing just one a challenge." - Ernest Owens

After our fantastic meal at Villa Roma, a highly recommended spot that my friends, who have moved out of Orange County but were back in town for a visit, couldn't stop raving about, I knew we had stumbled upon something special. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere, with its warm lighting and inviting decor, immediately made us feel welcome. We started our meal by sharing the Calamari Brodetto as an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious and set the tone for the rest of our meal. For the main course, we chose the Parrillada Dos, an impressive platter showcasing an array of Argentinian meats served with chimichurri and our choice of side. We opted for the potatoes, feeling we'd already indulged in enough meat, while I also ordered the Insalata Mixta, which was a generous portion—plenty for two! The Parrillada turned out to be so plentiful that it satisfied my partner and I, we had enough leftovers for two more meals. Our server, Juan, provided exceptional service; he was attentive without being intrusive, and his recommendations were spot on. What makes Villa Roma a hidden gem is its unique blend of traditional Argentinean/Italian cuisine and welcoming atmosphere!

My family and I love this place! The food is good. The service is amazing! The fancy dining area is open again.

Google
On the Market side, this is a great place to bring a friend or couples casual date night. Grab a bottle of wine off the shelves and find a table. Enjoy some great food with friends! Everything on the menu has been so good, a favorite of mine is the calimari appetizer, and for dinner the Pollo Lemone.

Google
It is a great Italian/Argentinean restaurant in Orange County. The food is amazing, service great. They also have a market with south American products and wines. I highly recommend this place 🙌

Google
Crazy amazing Argentinian-Italian-Spanish restaurant. OMG Everything we've tried, from the paella to the empanadas to the milanesas and pasta dishes...everything was top notch! The service is absolutely incredible and the wine list unexpectedly exhaustive! Must try if you're in the area. It gets busy so be sure to allow extra time. It's absolutely worth the wait, though. Highly recommend!

Was a guest for an event held at this beautiful establishment. Everything was delicious with exceptional service. The owners are amazing people who take pride in what and how they serve their guests. I absolutely recommend this market and restaurant!

The staff is friendly and very customer in. The people dining in are also friendly and one can engage in conversation. Empanadad are their specialty and with special low price on Tuesdays. Their informal dining area is clean .

I've been eating at this restaurant for more than ten years. The commute is worth an authentic Argentinean restaurant. I am Argentinean I appreciate a real and authentic place that feels like home. My favorite dish here is the noquiz or Gnocchi con salsa rosada (with pink sauce). I love Dani, he is a staff member that has treated me and my people with respect and with genuine care. He always greatest me with a smile and takes care of all my friends that attend the restaurant at different times. This place has a great selection of Argentinean products and gifts and if you want a fancy dinner, they have that option at night next door. I highly recommend this restaurant for families and even children as they have a family ambiance and they always have soccer playing in the background.

Yelp
Villa Roma in Laguna is such a hidden gem! Tucked inside a deli, this cozy spot oozes old-school European charm. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you've stumbled into a local favorite in a small village somewhere in Italy or Argentina. The food? Outstanding. We started with the clams in white sauce -- perfectly garlicky, fresh, and full of flavor. I ordered the ribeye "Medium." The ribeye was tender, juicy, and cooked beautifully, paired with sautéed veggies. The seafood linguine was another standout, generous portions of shrimp, clams, and mussels in a rich, flavorful sauce. For dessert, we went classic: tiramisu and a cappuccino, both hit the spot. I also took home some spinach and beef empanadas which were flaky, savory, and just the right amount of filling. Definitely worth grabbing for later! Service was on point -- friendly, quick, and attentive without being overbearing. Everyone made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, which added so much to the experience. That said, giving 4 stars instead of 5 because when my ribeye came out it was well done and when they went to pack the leftovers the delicious chimichurri I had with it was tossed and replaced with small 2 oz containers -- not quite enough to match the generous portion of steak I was taking home. A small detail, but one that mattered when I was looking forward to enjoying the full flavor again later. Still, this place is 100% worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for a relaxed, flavorful escape with warm service and seriously good food.

Yelp
everything ‍ starting with food, service . I am tired of getting empanadas that have not been cooked well. The dough is still raw and the filing is popping out the seams. Waiting for another empanada place to open soon.

Yelp
Prices keep increasing -- WAY too expensive!! I was a very loyal and regular customer over several years but no more. Tonight, I ordered a steak dinner and asked to sub one dipping sauce for another. I was charged $4 for that alternative sauce, which is ridiculous! Their prices have increased too quickly and too much. I'm no longer a loyal or regular customer. I may reconsider if they take some new and concrete action to reduce their prices. $4 to sub out a side sauce is just too much. It's not right!!!

Yelp
What a hidden gem of a place. Don't let the sleepy building or the older crowd fool you, this place has the best Argentinian food in OC. Having Quilmes Beer with Argentinian style Empanadas, I felt like I was back in Buenos Aires. Oh, and if you like to dance, the music that night by Eric Torres was phenomenal, covering best of Central and South American and for that alone we would be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it was a great experience! The paella was amazing, hands down one of my favorites ever. The seafood tasted fresh and perfectly cooked, it was a flavor explosion! The milanesa dish was good but a bit dry and could have used more seasoning; maybe a side salad would have elevated it. Service was excellent, food came out quickly, and the outdoor ambiance was laid back and enjoyable.

Yelp
I absolutely love Cambalache in Fountain Valley, so I had to try Villa Roma since it is close to my sister's house. We ordered beef empanadas, the Linguine Fra Diavolo, and the Chicken Pomodora Sandwich. They were all amazing choices for us. The sandwich definitely took the prize and we wanted to go back and get it almost immediately. When I picked up my order, the cashier was so kind and we spoke for a bit. This restaurant gives back to the community and its is clear they care about their customers. It was lovely to see some items available to purchase. The kind gentleman also let me know there is live music on the weekends on the restaurant side. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
WE LOVE VILLA ROMA MARKET. This place is an absolute gem. The food is fantastic, the service is always on point, and Daniel is the man. You can feel the heart in this place--Chef gives back to the community, and it shows in both the hospitality and the vibe. Craving Argentinian? Check. Italian? Check. Sandwiches? Got 'em. Beer and dessert? Yes and yes. The paella is amazing, the lomito especial is straight fire, and don't miss their Tuesday and Wednesday deals. It's the best time to treat yourself without breaking the bank. Seriously, what's not to like? This is one of those rare spots that has something for everyone and absolutely nails it.

Sarahi B.

Yelp
There was a mix-up with my reservation (not their fault), but I spoke to José and he was able to accommodate my husband and me. Since it was our 10-year anniversary, we were given a lovely table on the market side. When we arrived, we were greeted right away by Isaac, and the team took great care of us the entire time. Every staff member was very helpful, and the food was so good! I was extremely happy with both the food and the service, and I even got a mate cocido to make at home
google avatar

Nijole T.

Yelp
While they were friendly here, the food was merely average. My husband and I have been here a few times since we used to live in the area and always love supporting local businesses. The food was made to order quickly, but there wasn't much in terms of quality. Not bad, but also not worth rushing back for.

Yelp
We love coming to this place to support not only local but order "to go" their Argentinian empanadas. They are the perfect size, full of flavor and not oily at all. I love the chicken, spinach and beef. The meat is soft, and seasoned just right. The owners are very sweet. The vibes inside are roomy, full of design and just overall a great place to enjoy with friends or family. I've only tried their empanadas so I really need to actually sit down and try other things on the menu. Oh and plenty of parking space outside. Right now there's construction going on in that area but still can find room to park.
google avatar

Rumany P.

Yelp
Delicious empanadas. You can't go wrong with the spinach, chicken, or beef. Just make sure you get some chimichurri sauce also. $1.75 Tuesdays can't be beat. If you order online then it's $1.95 I believe. Everyone there is super nice so take some time and dine in if you can. It's a cute place with a mini market attached.
google avatar

Yelp
Have wanted to try this restaurant out because of how much support the owners have during the Eaton fire. Got the grilled skirt steak, vegetarian pizza, and the insalta del giorno. Steak was well cooked and flavorful with the chimichurri sauce. Very large tasty shrimp with the salad. Americanos were tasty as well. Plan to return in the future to try more of the large menu.

Yelp
This review is for the catering they did for our corporate mixer. Awesome dessert bar and food bar

Yelp
It's been since 2016 since I've last written a review so I'd say it's about time for an update don't you think? Plus it's even more significant sense I feel it's just as good then as it is now. So this review is for the deli side that's open for lunch and definitely more casual than the dining side. The things I love most about this place, especially in today's economy is my favorite bang-for-your-buck items! 1. Tuesday empanadas! Still $1.25 and they don't really advertise it at all. another secret 2. Wednesdays BOGO pizzas!! They had this about 1 year ago and it's still here, amazing! The pizza is of good quality and cheap. Most pies range from $17-$20 so a BOGO makes it a great Bang for your buck! Again these 2 deals they don't advertise at all strangely enough but I do see it if you order online. Staff is friendly and place is kind of small but there's always a table or 2 available!

Yelp
We came here for a late Mother's Day dinner with family. The restaurant/dinning room area was actually closed so we sat in the market. It was kinda a bummer, but they did have some football games on the TV that was entertaining. We got a seat at a half booth as soon as we walked in. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks first and were given bread. For our appetizer we got the fried calamari. The calamari breading was light, but a little too salty. The marinara sauce was really tasty though. For my entree I got the skirt steak with a side salad. The skirt steak was good. It was cooked to my preference, medium, but was a bit on the chewy side. The chimichurri sauce was flavorful and herby. It went well with the meat. My salad was super fresh and was even topped with some Kalamata olives. I also tried some of my Mom's veal marsala. It was super tender and her roast potatoes were crispy. After our dinner we browsed the market and got some chocolate wafers to take home. The market was really unique and had a lot of products I usually don't see in normal grocery stores. It was a really good Mother's day dinner. I'd definitely come back for the food and the market.

Yelp
Great food, reasonable prices and very friendly service. The steaks are quality and their sandwiches are excellent for picnics!!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try the empanadas here and decided today was a good day to order a few through Yelp/Grubhub. Unfortunately, I only ordered chicken for whatever reason, but WOW. DELICIOUS. Beautiful too, but I inhaled them before remembering to take photos (oops). The order arrived warm, in minimal packaging, which I truly appreciate. Thank you for using a paperboard box instead of styrofoam or plastic, Villa Roma! Anyway, I hope to bring my parents to the restaurant now that I know how yummy the food is! See you all soon, and thank you for the happy tummy! :D

Yelp
I picked up a lo into sandwich that was really good but I ordered a flan to go without knowing that was $14.00 for a small flan. i Sent someone to pick it up, I couldn't believe they charged $14.00 that's a rip off.

Yelp
I love going on Tuesday for empanada Tuesday. Their food in general is good but the empanadas are the best and half price. Try it you will love it.

Yelp
(Dined/Took Out 10/24/2023 TU @ 12:00pm): This villa provided a touch of Argentina and Italy! I initially came across Villa Roma when I picked up food from them for the 2023 Newport Beach Film Festival. I loved Italian food, and I always felt Argentinian cuisine was very similar (with the exception of the emphasis on beef). Was my first tasting a primer of more good eats to come as I roamed toward this villa in South Orange County!? PURCHASE Quilmes Lager Beer 11.5floz Bottle ($5.99): Golden amber color, malty sweet aroma, low body, light malty sweet flavor, effervescent finish, and light malty sweet aftertaste - salud! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=CUVYYIl3jWtKA1qNnm1e5g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Calamari Fritti Appetizer ($16.95): Plenty of lightly battered fried plump tender squid rings (I loved the tentacles!) served with homemade marinara dipping sauce, this was a fully satisfying meal on its own! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=e4KwWQXWyDkteBgpfoRVnA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Choripan Sandwich + Garlic Fries ($14.95 + $3.00): Homemade Argentine chorizo sausage on a crispy baguette-style bread served with chimichurri on the side, this was a plain sandwich that needed some vegetable representation although that wasn't the norm. The meat was slightly spicy but a tad dry, the bread flaky, and the chimichurri simply divine! The side of garlic fries was plentiful as each thin potato spear burst with garlicky goodness. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iW1_3fPrRCGvzuLBue_DoQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw 12" Chimi Pizza ($17.95): Made with a ton of mozzarella cheese, diced seasoned skirt steak, and homemade chimichurri sauce all on a somewhat thick fluffy oily crust, this was an enjoyable albeit simple pizza. I only wished there was more skirt steak throughout. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=lxJgp1Uy3JnTRgmL0J61Gg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Beef Empanada ($1.50): A ton of seasoned minced beef packed into a thick bready casing the size of your palm, I could still taste it on my lips! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=CGChGiwcgAVDAaofI9fXtg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Chicken Empanada ($1.50 x2): Spicy minced meat with bits of peppers, another wonderful meat pastry! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=m5U7cczYzgOVZpohXRiMeQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Ham & Cheese Empanada ($1.50): This would've been a great breakfast option on the go! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=cC1yclS7sfRvCcGSLqEx-g&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Spinach Empanada ($1.50 x2): My favorite of the bunch, this was all spinach and nothing else! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=C30SuaEyhn-TFxKVGPe_Wg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Quilmes Lager Beer 11.5floz Bottle 6pk ($14.95): I had to bring back some for later consumption! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6j1cjnxo9FqnPdB7ZGupiQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw SERVICE I was warmly greeted by possibly the owner, Teresa. I sat myself at a table, read the menu, and minutes later a friendly young gentleman took my order. My beer came out quickly along with a basket of bread. My food then came out in timely ten minute intervals. Halfway through my sandwich, I placed my pizza and empanadas takeout order. Soon enough, my empties were cleared away and my to-go food was ready. It was a really pleasant extended lunch - thank you! PARKING (FREE) Located within the La Paz Village outdoor shopping center, there were plenty of spots throughout; no need to look elsewhere - "nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A spacious deli/market/restaurant combo, the market consisted of several food aisles and refrigerated coolers, the deli was your basic counter display, and the restaurant was filled with many communal tables. There were minimal decorations on the wall (mainly Argentinian flags). Also, I believed there was an actual restaurant space next door although it appeared to be closed. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the large windows and doorway while soul-sucking fluorescent ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were several TVs throughout but couldn't recall if there was any background music. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Villa Roma was a pleasant time, and I would definitely consider another visit if I were in the area. The food was lovely, the prices were comparable, and the service was friendly and straightforward. The menu was varied enough, the deli section looked fabulous, and they had daily food specials such as Tuesday $1.50 empanadas (regularly $2.50), Wednesday BOGO pizzas, and more. Plus, I always enjoyed supporting mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $89.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Yelp
Ordered the "Lechon" half pig feast for a group of 12 guests and it was AMAZING. Cooked to perfection and with a wonderful presentation, even as a carry out order (see image). Will definitely be replacing my boring Thanksgiving turkey dinner with this if Villa Roma offers it in November! Our guests loved this delicious and somewhat exotic experience. If you are in doubt, give it a try!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Than you Juan and team for a fantastic last minute wedding dinner! You set it up beautifully! The live music was spot on and so fun! The food was amazing! Everyone loved the calamari frito, Ceasar salad, penne Alfredo, pasta and meat sauce and chicken Marsala! Your friendly service, attentiveness, and flexibility made our night a night to remember! You knocked it out of the park!
google avatar

Tina Y.

Yelp
Here to emphasize how good Villa Roma continues to be and what a vibe the market/restaurant/deli is! Their steaks are numero uno and of course you'll find some great Malbec to wash down the parilla. Can't wait for the next time I'm back here.

Unknown U.

Yelp
Words can't describe how much I love this place. Their chimichurri is so good that I had to do the face rug walk their meat in the start. The first half was kind of fell for me well done more than like medium but then when you went to the middle. It was like like blood gushing out like not too much blood but like very good blood like coming out was so good. The service was really good. I really recommend this place if you love eating as I like to eat and you guys if you know me a lot I feel very harshly, but this place is the number one spot to go with your family thank you villa roma for this great experience

Yelp
Let's start with the Food. Amazing!! The empanadas, are amazing. All of them are good, but the beef is my favorite. The steak sandwich is my favorite . I've been here many times, and never tried something I didn't like. There are two sides, the sit down restaurant, and the deli (you can sit down for a quick bite on the deli side too). The atmosphere is great on both sides. Very inviting, and welcoming. The staff works their butts off, and there is never much of a wait for a table... You are always greet you with a smile. They do large party's, meetings as well if you call ahead. A few yrs back, the owner Teresa and her staff went way above & beyond for me last minute, opening up early on a Saturday, and accommodating a group of 20+ people from my me & my ex-wife's family so we could be together, to stream The celebration of life of a family in another country... I will forever be grateful.

Yelp
Went for an early dinner last night with my friend that has been here many times . First we checked out their mini market - deli it smelled delicious- it has vino and fresh food to order at a less expensive price point open at lunch and it carries their freshly made to Go items in the refrigerator section you can take and bake of some items . We then went into the restaurant to have dinner and were helped by Sabrina. We ordered the pasta and I had the lasagna which was pretty good . After dinner my friend was craving gelato which was one of the desert choices on the menu . Sabrina brought out this new bowl of chocolate and vanilla what they called gelato with strawberries and blackberries around it topped with fresh mint and whip cream- I gave it a 5 out of 5 for presentation- I would give a 5 out of 5 if we wanted ice cream but we both had quietly eaten 3 bites each and I said this isn't gelato and she said no it's ice cream . We had Sabrina double check and she said it's a different vendor it's Italian ice cream - we said that's what gelato is - this isn't that but didn't want to make a big deal but I don't eat regular ice cream being lactose intolerant- I love enjoying rare treats of gelato and I know Tutu makes theirs and down in laguna this is scooped and taste like ice cream but other then that - all was good . They were gracious and didn't charge us for the frozen treat that we didn't finish - Thank you !! I wish we went little later so we could have stayed later to enjoy the live music and people that were there they all seem so nice . The severs were WONDERFUL!!!! So if you're looking to enjoy an evening out - with the family - go early this restaurant is welcoming to all - go later and dance the night away . Ambiance at 5 PM a little bright - 7 pm or so lights taken down and table candles lit much nicer . One negative was the table bbq it smoked up the dining room Like a smoker smell my clothes and jacket smelled like it when I got home but the food sure looked good that was on it - yum . All in All this is a WIN !!!

Yelp
My family and I live to come here for the wonderful food and service. I suggest a reservation it could get really busy during the weekend.
google avatar

Genevieve H.

Yelp
Another great experience! Ate on the market side for Mother's Day as they were very busy. The Villa Roma chopped salad is my favorite, and we also got the rigatoni alla montanara made spicy which was delicious. Their garlic fries are also so crispy and garlicky very good with the tender steak.
google avatar

Brenda N.

Yelp
I just want to say this restaurant has the most incredibly nice staff! Their sandwiches are amazing, and their outstanding customer service is a rare find these days! I had a car issue down the street from their restaurant while I was driving to pick up my sandwich that I had ordered online. I left my car, walked to the restaurant, and told them what happened, and two gentlemen from Villa Roma gave me a ride back to my car, and helped me get my car back on the road! ABOVE & beyond kind and courteous! I don't know how to thank them enough! They really helped me out, and the sandwich was awesome as always!! Thank you Villa Roma! :D

Yelp
Villa Roma is serving up some delicious Italian and Argentinian food in Laguna Hills. Power couple, Teresa and Leo Razo are the owners of Villa Roma and Market since 2005. They are well known in the Hispanic community and Orange County for their philanthropy work over the years. Teresa and Leo do not only serve food, they feed the soul of so many people who are struggling with homelessness. Before coming to the states, Chef Leo was also in the Mexican Army where he cooked for 3,000 people daily. His hard work continued as he move through different positions in the kitchen in California. Their work with the Illumination Foundation shows that community can create a world of good and difference. Locals love coming to the market and deli as a casual spot to spend time with friends and family. There is something authentic and magical about the place as the place becomes busy. They have some affordable unique finds and are great gifts. Our family will continue returning to support Villa Roma and the Razos.

Matthew Y.

Yelp
Place always hits, we order the meat platter every time and it's always a delicious meal.

Yelp
Villa Roma is just average at best. If you don't live/work nearby, it's not worth coming here ever. The prices don't match the quality you get. And their shrimp salad is a bowl of spinach in a vinaigrette dressing and 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp for $20. Their lunch time sandwiches are not special either. At least their fries are pretty good, but that's not what should be the standout at this sort of establishment. Jersey Mike's quality is much better at half the price (and no tip). During lunch, you can sit inside a very casual style seating area inside the store. At night, the adjacent swanky restaurant opens for dinner.
google avatar

Nancy U.

Yelp
We love eating here for lunch for early dinner! They have the best Argentinian sandwiches, morsels, empanadas and delicious Italian pastas as well as yummy steaks! The pink pasta sauce is so yummy, that I order some to go! Great location and wonderful service! The market has food from Latin American countries!

Yelp
Such a great menu - hard to choose! It's a perfect world when you join Italian with Argentina food. Tortilla à la Español: I got it to go. Delicious. It a was huge portion & I recommend sharing this. I added the Spanish sausage which they loaded with plenty. It was substantial enough that I think next time I don't need the sausage. Empanadas Argentina: These are how empanadas are supposed to be made. With great texture and taste. A nice flaky empanada. I chose beef and chicken. Beef was my favorite but the chimichurri sauce was what it was all about. I bought a half a dozen of them from the frozen deli section and cooked them at home. That's my idea of an appetizer for friends! Get some chimichurri to go with them. Italian club sandwich: Nothing outrageous but it was good with plenty of meat. Tiramisu: I figured we get to go but somehow it didn't make it out the door. Loved it! So light. Nice presentation. I thought the service was very good and I like that we could eat casually in the market/deli section, outside or more upscale next-door. Wine selection was fabulous with every variety and I thought the prices were exceptionally decent. Can't remember the corkage I think it was $15.

Amanda S.

Yelp
Wow I love this place I found it on yelp and actually didn't have high expectations but I was so taken back the food was excellent and generous, the server and her trainee were a pleasure and it is my new go to I love it here ! I even made spaghetti last night because I couldn't stop thinking about my dinner from Via Roma

Maria E.

Yelp
Ive been here before but 1st time to try the Mixto; sweetbread, blood sausage, Argentinian Sausage, flank/ skirt steak, short rib. Surprisingly, my fave of the bunch was the sweetbread, with blood sausage a close second. All the proteins were tasty and perfectly cooked, and the service was friendly and accommodating. The ambience is cozy, unpretentious, relaxed, straightforward. What a wonderful experience!!! Will have to try the empanadas next time. Ive already raved about this place/ offerings to my coworkers.

Found this little place on yelp. Nice atmosphere. Had a gentleman singing in the corner of the restaurant. Food was good and very generous portions. Friendly staff. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food served. I was very jealous of the table near me that ordered the jumbo shrimp as it looked so yummy. Everyone have a wonderful day Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make you feel great. Happy Yelping

Yelp
All the dishes looked very good. Dinner was excellent. They have a fine dinning restaurant (with a lounge singer during the night we went) and a deli and market on the other side. Best secret, on Tuesdays on the deli side, you can get yummy empanadas for $1.75 each. They have four different kinds and they're pretty large. I can only eat two.

Yelp
Villa Roma serves up Italian and Argentinian fare. They have an extensive menu of appetizers, salads, soups, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, paella/risotto, and parilla (grilled) Argentine style meats. I ordered the entrana and the rest of my group ordered bife ancho and gnocci pasta. Entrana ($30) - This consisted of 10 oz. of grilled skirt steak served with a chimichurri sauce on the side and 1 side (fries, salad, potatoes, or sauteed vegetables). I asked for my steak to be prepared medium rare and it was prepared perfectly, had great flavor, and was juicy and tender. Bife Ancho ($33) - In terms of flavor thie bife ancho (ribeye) was a step up from the Entrana (skirt steak) entree. It did have a bit more fat though. Gnocci Pasta ($16) - This consisted of potato dumplings and a choice of marinara, meat, cream or gorgonzola cheese sauce. There is a $7 upcharge for adding chicken to the dish. Flan con dulce de leche y crema ($10) - A YELP check-in gets one a complimentary dessert (flan, bread pudding, crepes, tiramisu, cannoili, chocolate mousse cate, gelato, or creme brulee). My group went with the flan which consisted of a light vanilla custard topped with caramel sauce, whipped cream, and some fruit. Great tasting dessert and not as eggy taste wise as traditional flan, nor as dense. Overall I really enjoyed the entrana here and would get that again. On Thursday through Sunday they have live music where someone sings some Italian songs in the evening. The singer was off key, but it was a nice gesture on the part of the restaurant. They also have patio seating and a deli market next door with some more casual seating.

Yelp
We love this place! The food is good always. Prices are reasonably fair. We were there again last week after a year and they had a change of decoration with booths instead of regular table and chairs which made it more private. Love that they have live music and space for dancing. The service was also good. It is a great place for a family or groups to hang out. They also have a small market connected on one side which is way more casual and serves the same food and also sell some products.

Yelp
!!BEWARE!! My daughter and her boyfriend had reservations for Valentines Day this evening cause they looked at the menu ahead of time it it wasn't too pricey. They got handed a special menu for tonight and were told could only order off that menu, so they did, no prices listed. For two meals plus tip order came out to $217!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!! No warning. I did tell her next time they should ask price before ordering but on a holiday this is definitely not the experience they had in mind. And definitely not the money these high school students were trying to spend!!

Yelp
Service- Excellent, Food Even Better! We ordered the empanadas and highly recommend the ground beef, which probably the best I've ever had! Then the Anti pasta salad- it was good but nothing special, I prefer the homemade food. We then had the mixta plate- awe mouth watering. Chicken was overdone but meats were perfectly cooked. Big portion , wine is well priced $8 for a great glass of Pino Noir Downside: no military discount

Yelp
4 star Yelp average seems a bit low - really 4.5 First off - Empanadas - oh my lord, maybe the best one's I've eaten, EVER. Not dry, delicious flavor (they have 4 kinds) and not a bucket of grease left on the plate - Delicioso Secondly - fried calamari- such a simple dish - too often messed up, but Villa Roma was completely on point - right amount of flour, correctly sized morsels - quick fried to perfection - accompanying sauce was good, but needed to be cooked a tad longer Paella was also pretty good - saffron flavoring on point, ingredients were correct in type and proportion - rice was just ok - would have liked a sharper, less bloated version Spinach salad with prosciutto and mushrooms was unique, tasty, and satisfying All in all, a very good Argentinian Italian restaurant 6350 miles from Rome and 6100 miles from Buenos Aires Also, atmosphere was funky and cool - half deli, half restaurant- half Italian Market Half price Empanada Tuesdays are a BIG DRAW and apparently, their full service restaurant next door is open on weekends with live music We'll be back

Yelp
It's like a friendly village hub, patrons are repeat visitors, greet restaurant staffs like old friends. It has a very warm & comfortable vibe. Individual tables and communal ones. Next couple sat at this long communal table, recommended their favorite, Entrano plate. There is a market/grocery store for South American dried goods, cookies, can goods, and bakery. Got Argentinian cookies ( fluffy wafer like ) for neighbor and coworkers, heard good feedbacks.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! We are always on an adventure to discover the best pizza. We found it! Villa Roma's pepperoni pizza is delicious. It was served hot and crispy- absolutely no grease! The cheese is scrumptious and the pepperoni is top quality and also scrumptious. Btw- we ate in the deli because the restaurant is not open for lunch. It was Wednesday and that is two for one pizza day. Yes! Everyone in the deli knew each other and us was a very cheerful environment. Staff was super friendly and efficient. Embarrassing to admit, I ate there for lunch and three hours later returned with my husband to devour the exact same pizzas I had for lunch. It truly is delicious. This will definitely be our new go-to for pizza!

Yelp
My husband and I dined here for Restaurant Week and had a nice experience. We were the first to arrive for lunch at around 11:30 and were immediately greeted and sat in a nice booth. Our server was pleasant and professional. He brought out waters and bread immediately. To start we ordered a beef empanada and really enjoyed that. Hot and flakey crust and super flavorful filling. I think they have a special deal on empanadas on Tuesdays at their adjoining market that maybe carries over to the restaurant as well since we were only charged half price for that. For Restaurant Week lunch you can select an entree and you get a tiramisu for dessert. They are known for the Entrana skirt steak so we both ordered that. The steak was so juicy and flavorful! They are great about cooking your steak rare if you ask. It was served with garlic potatoes which were really tasty. The veggies were nothing special at all. The tiramisu was light and fluffy and a nice way to finish lunch. We ordered their chicken Marsala to go so we could try something else off their menu and it was ok. I think I will stick with their grilled meats here.
