After our fantastic meal at Villa Roma, a highly recommended spot that my friends, who have moved out of Orange County but were back in town for a visit, couldn't stop raving about, I knew we had stumbled upon something special. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere, with its warm lighting and inviting decor, immediately made us feel welcome.
We started our meal by sharing the Calamari Brodetto as an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious and set the tone for the rest of our meal. For the main course, we chose the Parrillada Dos, an impressive platter showcasing an array of Argentinian meats served with chimichurri and our choice of side. We opted for the potatoes, feeling we'd already indulged in enough meat, while I also ordered the Insalata Mixta, which was a generous portion—plenty for two!
The Parrillada turned out to be so plentiful that it satisfied my partner and I, we had enough leftovers for two more meals. Our server, Juan, provided exceptional service; he was attentive without being intrusive, and his recommendations were spot on. What makes Villa Roma a hidden gem is its unique blend of traditional Argentinean/Italian cuisine and welcoming atmosphere!
