Absolutely unforgettable dining experience at Villa Romana! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The mashed potatoes were creamy and clearly homemade, and the lamb chops were incredibly tender, paired with a mint sauce that added a refreshing, unexpected twist. Just chef’s kiss. 👌 I ordered the seafood linguine, and they were so accommodating, they prepared it with the sauce I wanted, and it turned out flawless. Every bite was delicious, and the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. The dessert? Wow. It looked like art on a plate and tasted even better; sweet, warm, and beautifully balanced with cream and fruit. Big thanks to Andre, who made the evening extra special with his thoughtful recommendations and exceptional service. He made us feel truly welcomed and taken care of. Food was great and atmosphere was really nice! Love the different food options. We really liked the mamaliga and the lobster ravioli. Lobster ravioli came with shrimp on top and the sauce was extremely delicious. Also, one of the best espresso martinis. The chicken parm was so so but wasn't too bad. The carbonara was also not our favorite. But we loved sitting outside and the staff was great! Would def recommend when in Hollywood Fl.

Was looking for a quick lunch in the area, chose this restaurant since it had okay reviews. The water cups smelled like fish, I got a half empty beer, and the salad was wilted. The lasagna was okay but there’s better restaurants in the area.

I visited this place tonight and the place is very nice with a very tasteful decoration and an excellent atmosphere. I also loved the food. I recommend it to spend some time in a healthy environment with good energy.

Craving Italian and don't want to drive so tho place was the winner. Ambiance is romantic and classy (we don't need that's haha as it was my coworker) somewhat limited selections as this also has Romanian cuisine as well. I got the chicken parm ( I really craved spaghetti and meatballs not on menu except for kids) the sauce reminded me of Chef boyardee thick a weird red and little sweet. Not my fav also the penne on the side was like warm and the chicken was like just pulled out of the salamander so hot! Coworker had the shrimp scampi and liked it but he wouldn't say otherwise. Service was fantastic and friendly. Not a bad place but would try something different next time.

You can't beat the spaghetti and meatballs that is super authentic and yet, very few can make such a simple classic unforgettable! Don't forget to try the house soups and the rich Cesar salad! Ambiance is very relaxed during the day and a jazzy vibe in the evening !

It was a beautiful day in Hollywood and I was craving a salad. I chose this place once I saw they had a 3 course lunch special. It was pretty slow at this time so I was able to be seated immediately - I chose the patio to people watch. The server and host were great and very attentive. I ordered a sangria (which would've tasted better in a wine glass), a Caesar salad, blackened mahi with mashed potatoes and tiramisu for dessert. The sangria tasted like juice, salad was finely chopped and the dressing was off. The mahi was pretty decent as well as the mashed potatoes. The tiramisu was the highlight, light and airy yet delicious. It was good but overall left a lot to be desired.

Garlic restaurant. But way too much. I love garlic, but it should be included as a spice and not as the main ingredient.

Nice authentic Romanian/italian restaurant reminded us our childhood in Moldova. Great mamalyga and other dishes we have not eaten since childhood. Good, knowledgeable and hospitable stuff. We've been there twice already and both times enjoyed it very much.

This was my 2nd visit to Villa Romana which was not as delicious as my first experience. Upon arrival no one was available to greet me and my friends, I had to go find the waitress in the back. She was very lovely and provided great recommendations. I started with the salmon carpaccio and asked for no onions and it came out with onions. I was to hungry to send it back so I picked out all of the very small onions to eventually enjoy it but it was a miss ;/ I had a shrimp pasta dish which was extremely bland with minimal flavor. My guest had the snapper which was deliciously flavorful but the side of mash potatoes was not edible. My daughter had the kid pasta which was also very bland and not flavorful. Another big minus is the massive construction going on in downtown Hollywood. Sorry to say I did not enjoy the $130 lunch spent here.

Went to this restaurant this past Saturday for our daughter's 18 bday celebration with a bunch of her friends. The ambiance is very nice. Restaurant had live singer which really added to the fun the group was having. She was an excellent singer and could improvise really well. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was very pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place for groups as well as for a date night.

Absolutely fantastic. What a great dining experience. The food was 5 star service off the charts ( thanks Dominica) restaurant atmosphere and decor was elegant. Entertainment fantastic. My understanding is the night we were there it was the owner singing He was awesome. Get there you will not be sorry

This restaurant was recommended to my husband and I due to the Romanian options on the menu. We were in the area and decided to stop by for some appetizers as we weren't that hungry. We were seated outside, close to the entrance door, as we wanted some fresh air and wanted to enjoy the beautiful day. Despite a sign to the tune of "thank you for not smoking", 2 men at different tables were smoking cigarettes throughout the duration of our meal. It was very unpleasant. The wait staff appear to turn a blind eye to it. We would not return to the restaurant due to this.

So I was interested in trying some Romanian cuisine with a friend of mine and decided to check this place out. The inside area was very nice. Perfect for date nights. I went during the day time. Our server was super helpful with the menu and asked us if we had any questions about the menu. I tried the mititei for the first time and he suggested that I add mustard to it. Which to my amazement I enjoyed. The sausage was a little salty, but still delicious nonetheless. The burrata however was really good! That was gone in seconds along with the bread. I also ordered an amaretto sour here and it was decent. I would definitely try more dishes from this place because I am intrigued. I had a pleasant experience here and can't wait to be back.

Villa Romana on Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood. Initial reaction was nice - the dining room and bar are nicely designed and inviting, staff attentive but not pushy, music was appropriate and mellow. The Menu is interesting with a mostly Italian skew and a side-bar of Romanian fare. It appears that Romanians enjoy a fair amount of French Fries and most entrees are served with them. I ordered the Tripe soup. Our waitress asked if I have ever had it before because it is unique. And it was unique, in a creamy base with a good but not too strong taste of tripe. Came with a side of vinegar, garlic and sour cream. I tried them all but liked the soup best in its original form. For my entree I chose the Tochitura Dobrogeana - a pork stew with chunks of pork, smoked sausage, bell peppers and garlic in a red sauce served with polenta topped with shredded feta cheese and a fried egg. Interesting but nothing special. My wife chose the pappardelle with porcini and truffle. Very rich but tasty. Overall the meal was good but nothing to make me crave it. The real eye opener though was seeing multiple people inside the restaurant using E-Cigs. I thought that vaping/E-Cigs were illegal inside restaurants? No one seemed to react so I suspect it's a regular occurrence. Since it was early and there were only 4-5 tables occupied I guess that the management looks away. But, what is the policy when it is crowded with lots of people at the bar? Not to dwell too much on this but it really didn't sit well with my wife and I. My feeling is that if management ignores the laws in the front of the house then god knows what is happening in the kitchen. Overall we thought that we might give it a second chance but the E-Cig thing kind of turned us off

What a spectacular dinner. Walked in close to closing time but we were welcome with open arms. Andrei set my husband and I up with a romantic late night dinner. Carpaccio and Branzino were deeeeelicious. Can't wait to come back. What a nice vibe, Asiel was very attentive very nice experience.

Villa Romana is an Italian and Romanian restaurant located in Downtown Hollywood. It has a classy, upscale vibe perfect for a date night and there were many families there as well. We went on a Tuesday night which was open mic night and several patrons enjoyed singing karaoke, which was fun to watch! Our server was very efficient but not necessarily friendly. I had the lemon drop martini and moscato, both were great. I then tried the siorba de burta, tasty with a strong garlicky flavor and tripe. My friend had the miteti with fries and I had the beef stew called dobrogeana with polenta. It was good but I wasn't a fan of the polenta with sprinkled cheese. Overall, great ambiance and the food is good.

I don't really go all that often, but every time I go to Hollywood looking for "the Romanian food restaurant" it either has a new name, or has moved to a new location, or both. Be it when it was the Transylvania, or the Europa, or the Villa Romana now, they also went from something with a vibe of more of a social club to a fancy restaurant where you actually have to ask your server for the Romanian menu because otherwise they only bring you the Italian food menu. Let me be clear: I don't know if this is the same restaurant evolving, or if it's only that one replaces the previous one, but the result is the same: the Romanian menu has suffered both in prominence and in quality. There are thousands of Italian restaurants around, so I have not tried any Italian dishes myself in Villa Romana. One thing I have consistently ordered through the years (and through different versions of the "Romanian restaurant") are the ciorba de burta (tripe soup), and the mititei (sort of sausages made with varied ground meats). The ciorba de burta was ok, I feel it was leaning on the bland side, but it's fine enough, and it came served with a pepper on the side, so you can work some hotness in it. The mititei were a bit salty for my taste, but the flavor and consistency was very good... on the other side, the snitel de pui (chicken schnitzel or breaded chicken) needed a bit of salt (which I prefer because then I can raise to taste). again, juiciness/consistency and flavor were very good. What I'd like to know why the "sides" consist only of "fries". There used to be things like polenta and mashed potatoes in earlier iterations of the "Romanian food restaurant". What is really top notch is the service, which is friendly, helpful and fast. We ate outside, so I can't really speak much about the dine-in experience. But the outside is nice, except for the fact that it is a very noisy street.

Ducked in to recon the place, try the food and see if the joint would be a good fit for my food tour operation and it was a fine time, here's why: * Close to home * Excellent, tasteful, modern decor, I love the dark bar paneling * Private room upstairs * Lounge singer had an amazing voice * Excellent Bean and Bacon Soup (Romanian) with Red Onion * Excellent Goulash (Romanian) * McLovin loved the Veal Parm * Big portions * Tasty Lemon Drop Martini So the place is Romanian and Italian fare, but they pull it off. Fairly priced for Hollywood Boulevard. Good stuff, see you there! Cabeza OUT!

Great food, live music, and a Romanian feel. Although they have an Italian menu- I came for the Romanian food. I do not regret it. Would definitely come back!!

Elegant restaurant, centrally located in Hollywood, worthy of the drive from Miami, with authentic European cuisine, focused on Italian and Romanian authentic cuisine however there's a little for everyone. Great for events or dining with family and friends in a nice atmosphere. It has a patio for outdoor dining. Reasonably priced , very clean including bathrooms, professional staff and very attentive. We had the Romanian skinless sausage plate with fries and the sausages were grilled to perfection. They also offer a good variety of wines and beers from across Europe. Advice to owners: work on the ambiance music to sync with the restaurant theme, something Italian or Romanian or any European music will go well with the whole ambiance. Solid 4.5stars! Highly recommended! We'll come back.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm inviting but also fun. They had a great singer performing during dinner. He was excellent. The food and service was also excellent. I would definitely go back.

Villa Romana is becoming one of my favorite romanian rest. Food is good, especially Ceafa de Porc, Mititei, Ciorba de Burta. Cozy atmosphere, live music and lady owner always welcoming you and try to accommodate. Easy to organize festive parties. Staff is very pleasant. If you want to try authentic romanian food, this is the place!

What a little gem in downtown Hollywood. We didn't have reservations but they took us in. Service was a bit slow because our waiter was also the bartender but he did a good job. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was delicious. We also had the linguini seafood but with Alfredo sauce and it was good. Tiramisu DELICIOUS.

Beautiful ambiance and delicious authentic Romanian dishes that remind me of my childhood. Our server told us what was good and she did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend and will return for sure!

The absolute best restaurant on the Hollywood strip! Amazing food, beautiful ambience, great service. The owner is charming and very engaged. He also has unbelievable talent as he serenades his guests with his beautiful voice having the likes of Neil Diamond, Elton John, and Frankie Valli! Even the aroma from the bars smoked drinks just complete and perfect the experience. It's a must for a romantic evening or to just simply unwind.

Happened to go here looking to escape from The Diplomat. Italian food was good -- chicken Milanese, chicken parm, etc were all one done. The pasta serving was not enormous (a dozen penne with the chicken parm?) but in reality that's fine because none of us need a pound of pasta. Wasn't brave enough to try the Romanian food. The service was a bit slow but very kind when they were at the table. Ambiance was THE BEST. I certainly will be back because the hidden gem was the gentleman crooning on the microphone -- Barry Manila, Elton John, etc. Any ballad he nailed it and I think he was at the microphone for 1-2 hours straight. He was a highlight and a reason to come back.

Really nice place. Good service, cool atmosphere and really tasty food. Except spaghetti carbonara!!! TERRIBLE! ( I mean the worst I've ever had. Ever ever!!) Tried the seafood soup - 4 stars. Tried mozzarella milanese - 4,5 stars. Tried blackened shrimps- 5 stars. Tried lasagna - 4,5 stars. Tried gnocchi- 4 stars. Tried spaghetti carbonara- this should never be served! Tasteless, like a mushy spaghetti with heavy cream and onion. Disgusting! Negative 10 stars for this one! I'm really generous withmy 4 stars here.

My friends & I ate dinner here last night and really enjoyed it. We sat out on the patio in a booth, where we could people watch. Our server was Javier, he was great, friendly, & attentive and he answered all of our questions about the menu. I started off with the lychee martini which was the specialty cocktail that day. It was so delicious it almost tasted like pear juice.... Very light and smooth. I could have had 5 of these but they contained a good amount of alcohol. They brought us out warm bread that smelled heavenly and was delicious! I had to fight the urge not to eat more than a slice. Then we ordered the Romanian version of a charcuterie plate, eggplant salad, taramasolata ( fish roe) my favorite, salami, slices of ham, tomatoes, feta and olives. It was very fresh and we polished it off. We ordered the bean and ham soup And the tripe soup mostly because they were Romanian staples and we were curious. Both were good, but we saved room for our entrees. We shared everything. I had the champagne seafood risotto, we loved this the most. The seafood was fresh and tender. The cream sauce was not too rich and had a hint of the champagne flavor. Highly recommend. The truffle parpadelle pasta was good as well. So was the salmon ravioli. We enjoyed all of it. We also split the tiramisu for dessert, which was wonderful. The owner sang karaoke and he has a heck of a voice, we enjoyed the music, the restaurant has an inviting ambience and it's a great place to go if you want to have a great meal & a special night out with great service and great atmosphere. We will def be back!

Very pleasant surprise this Italian/Romanian restaurant in Hollywood! Food is amazing,we tried the Romanian food and it was super authentic,very tasty and felt like homemade! Service was exceptional,starting with the host Diana,then server Andrei and everyone who welcomed us like we were their lifetime friends.Then the live singer was also creating a relaxing ambiance,she had a great voice.A family celebrated somebody's birthday and they had a spectacular cake with a twist.Overall,a great experience,strongly recommend!

The best food, entertainment and the staff is the nicest staff you can meet. It was an amazing experience that everyone should enjoy. The hostess could not have been nicer, the waiter was perfect and the singer was off the charts. Your missing out if you don't get here. As great as all that was the food really was the star of the night. Meatball soup I will be back for.

No words.... Amazing I ordered the beef carpacio, and it tasted so fresh I thought the cow was still mooing! Its so great to see a thriving local business that can create wonderful dishes at such a high level.

My husband and I visited Villa Romana for dinner last Friday and loved it. The atmosphere was very romantic, the service quick and pleasant. It started with delicious bread then we shared a caesar salad that was probably the best I've ever had. We ordered dishes that we've never had before- I had the snapper and my husband had the pappardelle with porcine mushrooms. Mine was yummy but his was just incredible. The only suggestion I would have would be to serve some cheese and spices with the oil and vinegar for the bread. This was our first visit but it wont be our last!

This is one of the fancier/nicer restaurants in the area, so it is good for a date or special celebration. The ambiance is nice both inside and out (although if you sit outside you do have to deal with cigarette/cigar smoke). The Romanian side of the menu was not my favorite; nearly all the appetizers are just eggplant-based, and they didn't have any good chicken or vegetarian entrée options. On the Italian side, the pasta is good, albeit a little expensive. The bread is really good, though!

Well the food is great. I had my first goulash and it was wonderful. The Greek salad was likewise great. Our server was attentive but not overbearing. The ambience was not good. Apparently on Hollywood Blvd the louder the better (mmm No!) We ate outside near a speaker that made it impossible to talk with my dinner partner. We requested it to be turned down to no avail. Two hours later my ears haven't recovered. Hollywood Blvd is nice but blasting music in patrons ears is not customer friendly. The food is great high quality. Don't eat on the corner of the restaurant and you'll be okay. But for the love of people Please turn down the soft rock! A grudging 4. 5 is the music had been turned down.

Haven't had the food there yet, but went for some after dinner drinks and had a great time! Andre was our bartender and he made some fabulous drinks, including the best lemon drop I've ever had! He was super knowledgeable and gracious. I have food allergies so he walked me through what I can order from the food menu for next time I'm there. The guitar player on Saturday night was really talented too!

Perfect place for a nice date. The food is amazing. If you like pasta as much as I do, try the truffle pasta (Amazing). The price is fair and the drinks are good. Great ambience and live music over the weekend.

If you would like to eat within 2 hours of ordering do not go here. The worst service I've ever had. 2 hours 30 mins for 4 chicken parms and a penne vodka. Food finally comes out and it was ice cold. These people should no be running a restaurant. Horrible for groups, wouldn't recommend for good food or if you like to eat before midnight.

Highest quality ambiance. Live music, gorgeous interior. Food fantastic. Big quantities, sauce is great with the pasta. Owner/staff very personable. Highly recommend with dessert too. Best tiramisu in town and there are many Italian spots in town.

We went with a group of 9 guys tonight and sat outside. It was such a great dinner with awesome food and service. Such a unique place to enjoy a great meal.

This is my new favorite restaurant by far! Great food, service, and live entertainment I felt like we were in another city, not Hollywood. The interior is contemporary and comfortable as well as the patio seating. Try the beef carpaccio with the fresh-baked bread (made in-house every day) with a glass of red wine...fabulous! Tuesday is open mike night and on Saturdays, they have a 15-year crooner who sings all the standards. This is old school, done with a contemporary approach.

They chengy the nome, they charge the habit to serve bad food and cheat the customers? The last time I was there a nesty lady imposed to be the manager withe a dishonest character. They serve tilapia posing to be snapper. Is sad to see this top of dishonest Restaurant. Yes Romanien food is delicious and a lot of variety. I dint fine there . I wish them good luck. Preparing the food withe love and higher professional cooks what I don't think they will do it .
