Villa Samadhi Kuala Lumpur

The nicest hotel we've stayed in! The service was amazing, all staff were so friendly (especially front desk) and really went above and beyond for us. It was my partner's birthday and they went to so much effort to make the day extra special. The hotel itself was so clean and nice, the room was amazing and the jacuzzi was perfect. The food and drinks were so good - the breakfast was really nice. Loved all the extra touches like the sundowners and turn down service. Would 100% recommend for a special occasion in KL.

Excellent service and experience at this luxury hotel! The room was beautifully decorated with rustic accents and modern appliances. The personal jacuzzi tub was amazing. The vegan and vegetarian food options, as well as the all-day breakfast, were delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Don't miss out on booking a spa appointment. This place is a great getaway for couples. They don't allow kids under 12, and in fact, maximum 2 people per room. The facilities include in-room jacuzzi (not sure if all rooms have this, but ours did!), very nice and natural swimming pool and gardens. They have a spa where we enjoyed a wonderful massage, a bit pricey, but well worth it. The restaurant and staff are incredibly nice and efficient, food was great. The room was very clean, and lots of amenities (tea, coffee, minibar, toiletries, lots of towels, etcetera). The overall facilities are well kept and clean, but some might think just a bit run down: there is a lot of wood, which is hard to maintain in good condition, but it was not a huge issue for us. As for the location, if you are going to KL to shop, this may not be the place for you: it is just a bit off the beaten track. However, there is an LRT station (Ampang Park) about a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the hotel. But close to the hotel, there is not much in the way of shops or restaurants. For our 3-day getaway, it was perfect, and we would certainly do it again.

We went on the Holiday and it was good experience, good service this luxury hotel gave us everything we needed. The room was brilliant decorated with rustic accents and had all modern appliances. We even don't want to leave the room it's was amazing with personal a jacuzzi tub we used it a lot. They do serve vegan and vegetarian food also the all day breakfast was good and convenient all stuff is very nice and friendly. If you come to stay at this hotel must book a spa appointment! They do a great job there. We stayed for 4 days 3 night it was worth it Highly recommended because we will coming back for sure

Wonderful overnight stay with excellent service. Special mention to Nicole from reservations, BK and Joyce at the bar/breakfast and Aminudin at front office. They all made our experience there memorable and provided top quality service. Would definitely return in the future!

We loved our stay at Villa Samadhi, it’s an oasis in the city. This was our second stay and this time we brought friends and family with us. We were there over new year. As always the staff were lovely and the rooms clean and very comfortable. I highly recommend a stay here it’s in easy walking distance to the underground and KLCC park .

This little gem of a retreat is in a great residential location yet still within easy reach of KLCC. The staff and their hospitality was impeccable, the choice of food at breakfast left us spoilt for choice and it tasted amazing too. Fresh squeezed juices and ability to choose between a la carte or buffet or both if you are feeling truly inspired. We had a super spacious room with private plunge pool with jets and a huge bathing area. The room benefited from direct access to the pool which was a bonus. The pool and all areas were clean and comfortable. The hotel is showing its age in places but that adds to its charm. If you want an alternative to the normal bog standard hotel and want a personal touch that makes your stay an experience and not just a place to sleep… then this is the place!

The most wonderful experience at the tranquil haven that is Villa Samadhi. There are so many things to recommend here, the staff are exceptional, attentive, warm but totally professional. Joyce & BK in F&B were a particular delight. Food was fantastic, the included extras such as afternoon tea were a treat. Happy hour was generous - try the orange gin! Rooms were comfortable, spacious and the plunge pool a delight. We had a Luxe Crib room which had a private terrace too. And the massages …. oh my goodness, just amazing. A massive thanks too to Romily and her reception team, everyone just made you feel so welcome. We can’t wait to come back!

The Good: :: gorgeous setting. makes you feel you are not in the craziness that is Kuala Lumpur and instead are at a getaway in Bali :: service was very attentive and hospitable. they were all so friendly and responsive :: food was very delicious. i had breakfast, lunch, and dinner there for several days and wasn't disappointed :: cocktail hr that is complimentary is great! it's a subset of drink offerings but that's fine. it's a mixture of cocktails, spirits, and wines. you won't go wrong with any of them :: snacks left in your room. my favorite was the evening snack of banana bread balls that were fabulous :: the pool is gorgeous! it's not really for trying to get a tan since there is so much shade from all the trees, etc, but it is wonderful to sit by and read, or take a swim in :: the rooms are gorgeous. feels so authentic, all the warmth from all the wood and warm colors :: the bathroom is gorgeous. like...you are in a freaking amazing spa. there is a massive double-headed rain shower head as well as a massive hot tub with relaxing and soothing bath salts :: the pool is gorgeous. you cannot sit by the pool and not feel like a total baller. totally relaxing. :: they grow their own herbs! :: they have TURTLES!!!!!!!!! in an enclosed area by the herbs, they have turtles that are adorable. The Bad: :: no desk for those of us who need to work. however, because it's a place to really escape, i'm not going to fault them for not providing desks. it's not a Westin and that's expected! :: service by the poolside didn't really exist. i found i had to order at the bar to have drinks sent over, but not a huge deal since the bar is just a few seconds walk around the corner. :: the hot tub doesn't turn on when you want...they run it for everyone a few times a day. this was really odd to me, as i heard it kick on and was trying to turn it off, but when i called to speak to the front desk, they explained to me the way it works. seems like a possible waste of energy to turn it on several times a day if guests aren't using theirs? i did :) The Ugly: :: none Would I go back? Most certainly would! It's a completely relaxing getaway that is a welcome change from the generic offerings of big-brand hotels. This place is IN.

Some days you just want to get away from it all. And rather than spend on flights to travel to some exotic location, KL-lites can now check in at Villa Samadhi, a resort hotel in the heart of KL. Most people drive past it without even noticing it is there as this very private boutique hotel keeps its gates closed most of the time. Once inside, you will love the tranquility and the service, not forgetting the interesting rooms they have. This was formerly a small block of apartments which were converted into Villa Samadhi. Each room is different so you may want to check what you are booking. The most popular are the ground floor rooms that open onto the pool, so you can sit on your patio facing the pool, and just slip into the pool when you feel like having a dip. My room came with a jacuzzi, rain shower and a fish tank, with 4 resident fishes to keep me company! It's the little touches that add to the experience, like the little tray of local kuih (traditional cakes) that they bring to your room after you have checked in, and the complimentary cocktail hour at the rooftop bar between 5 to 6 pm where you can watch the sunset and it is hard to imagine that you are 5 minutes from the Petronas Twin Towers. Dinner is served in the dining room as well as by the poolside, which is a wonderfully romantic setting. Overall, this is a great place to take a break without having to travel too far and I am already looking for my next excuse to take a break.

We booked a few days at Villa Samadhi. When arrived it seemed great but it was not what we had in mind. We decided to ask if we could get a refund and stay somewhere else. We were promised by the concierge that we would get a refund. However, after we had booked and moved to the other hotel they refused to give us the refund. If they had just said they could not give us a refund this situation would have been avoided.
