"As for food, we’re right around the corner from the Village Bar & Grill, and we’ll be working closely with them to make sure no thrower goes hungry. They do a great job with their pizza and other bar staples, many of which have fueled our work in getting ready for this grand opening." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Good place to grab a drink and some bar food with friends. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the Everett area in Massachusetts!

Google
If I could give this place a minus star rating I would to start off. My wife and I have this thing where we will try to order a drink for each other and not say what it is so that we can guess what it is. So tonight was my night to order the drink for my wife. I tell the waitress don't tell my wife what it is and I order a drink. The lady said the name of the drink three times. Then the bartender come over and ask. Is this the drink that you wanted? So there goes that surprise. I started off. I ordered the beef a casa with no egg. We said no egg in both English and Portuguese. My wife is from the azores is in fluent born there so speaks fluent Portuguese. They still brought that dinner out with round potatoes instead of the fries that we ordered and an egg. They took that back and corrected it. My wife got the octopus and she said it was dry. They charged us for the drink that we ended up telling him we didn't want because the fun was gone from. They brought the bill back to us. They charged us for the drink that we didn't get. Accidents happened. No big deal. I gave them the bill to correct it. They took the drink off and kept the bill the same dollar amount., in my opinion they tried to charge us knowing the drink wasn't there because when she walked over I held the bill up and said there's a problem before I could show her. She said oh the drink is on there huh? I said well if you knew that why did you give it to me? I would never go here again and I would caution anyone else not to go there also. The environment was nice. Plenty of big screen TVs. It says they have a DJ there on Friday nights. We are there Thursday night the night of the NFL draft The other thing that bothered me big time was after they dropped off the food the corrected time without the egg. She never came back one time to see how the food was to ask if we needed anything. It wasn't a busy night. There were two tables behind us and then there were a couple guys playing pool in maybe four or five at the bar. But the waitress had the two tables in the pool table and the bartender had the five at the bar, but it was just completely surprised to see how it was if you look at any of my other reviews I very rarely do I say anything. Bad accidents happen. That's fine. But when you knew that the bill was wrong before I could even tell you why the bill was wrong and then you supposedly correct. The bill take the drink off and the dollar amount at the bottom is still the same as if it was there. That means something to me so maybe they were just having a bad night. But I would definitely always check my numbers at this place cuz I was very surprised to see something like that happen

What a hidden Gem. Had a beer and Shrimp scampi to go . What a surprise. Full of tender Shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari in the wonderful buttery sauce over linguine

I can't comment on service or atmosphere, because we were at short path. The pizza we had was one of the best pizzas i have had in a very long time. If we are ever back in the area, we will be getting some more of that pizza!

Food and service are very mediocre. We got the steak and it was fatty and overcooked. My friends blt and veggie burger were just ok. We were there to catchup but could hardly hear each other as there were little kids running around for the whole time. Absolutely no regard for the other guests who were there as no one did anything about the children running around. Felt like we were in a playground. You can find way better food, service, and environment elsewhere.

Fun place, nice food and a good beer selection. The burger, fried pickles, onion rings and grilled chicken were great!

Outstanding people that make you feel like family. Excellent food and pleasant environment.

Google
Great spot to grab a bite to eat and drink. Burgers are great, but the real reason to go are the appetizers in my opinion. The best fried pickles I've ever had, onion rings are crispy, and the kibe just need to be tried. The "Village Prego Sandwich" was delicious as well, simple yet satisfying. Generous portions and a great staff round out the experience! We'll be back!

Yelp
About a month ago I had a pick up order for the BBQ chicken wrap w/. Side of fries; the wrap was fantastic. Surpassed expectations, food when ready for me when I arrived. Cool looking sports bar, plenty or space and TV's if you've got a group. Clean looking place, plenty of parking. I will be ordering again no doubt.

Yelp
This place used to be our place to go for pizza after some drinks at nightshift and short path. We went tonight and the place was empty . But we got seated and order 3 beers, which were fine. Also ordered a Buffalo chicken finger app and cheese pizza. The chicken was good .....average chicken fingers w/ Buffalo sauce. The pizza came out and it was burnt and tasted burnt . Sent it back. Got another pizza and the pizza was cooked better but very bland, hardly any sauce or cheese. Idk what changed recently from what their pizza used to be. Honestly won't be back since that's all we ever really ate there.

Yelp
It's my second time here and I like this place because it's clean, spacious and has good lighting. My friend and I ordered espresso martini and mojito, and we both like them, they are strong but very balanced in taste. For food we ordered the steak tips dinner to share and the portion is very generous! Our waitress, who also happened to mix our cocktail, talked to us with a smile every time she came over. Another waitress was also very friendly by recommending a menu item to us, and said goodbye to us as we were walking out the door. We will definitely come back again!

Brianna R.

Yelp
The food is under par the waitstaff is friendly giving this a firm 2 star review food is over salted and over cooked. The appetizer platter was a bit soggy and tastes as if it was store bought frozen. Margarita tastes as if it was all mango purée that was thick more so of a smoothie texture.

Nicole B.

Yelp
Found this spot randomly and glad I did! Super cute outdoor seating, drinks were okay and the pizza was simply perfect.

Leonardo S.

Yelp
I Usually try to be extremely reasonable when it comes down to ratings. I understand the business industry since I run on restaurant for many many years! Well, Ordered 2 bears, one of them was served warm/hot. The other wasn't full. I also order a Margarita which was never served. 20 minutes later and nobody showed up to help us. Asked somebody that was inside the bar she just said I'm not a servant.. and turned her back on me. And the list of issues only grows.. this place is really under expectations.. Terrible service . I totally disrespect with clients. Poor food quality. We never had the chance of ordering any food. When our the employee finally got back she looked at me and asked me if I was ok.!!. I sure was! Won't come back .

Yakelin A.

Yelp
The food here is terrible I literally have no idea out there are any five star ratings on this restaurant. To add on it is a big space but it's all empty. There is only one or two people every time I go there. Not only do the employees treat you poorly but some of the employees treat their other employees poorly. There's a certain feeling of entitlement some of the servers carry. Probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Additionally I think it's sketch that they're in business for this long and such a low-key environment.

Patricia P.

Yelp
Awesome place , cold beer, nice appetizers , Cézar was the best waiter. Definitely I will come back! Nice food, nice atmosphere!!

Morgan L.

Yelp
Friendly, attentive wait staff. The beer options are pretty good and inexpensive. Food is so-so, mixed reviews from my party (see pics). We came here accidentally after rock climbing nearby because we thought this was part of the brewery next door but we ended up staying since they have food while their neighbors do not. Overall fairly enjoyable meal with friends.

Ami D.

Yelp
Not sure why the bad reviews. The space is huge and there is a good selection of beer and food. We had a great experience. We ordered the sampler app and chicken fingers. We were brought a separate order of wings instead of the sampler which was not a big deal. The kitchen made us a sampler and then we were charged only for the sampler. So for 12$ we got an order of wings, chicken fingers and the full sampler. This was more than generous for an honest mistake. It's convenient as well when you are looking for food after hanging at the breweries. Keep up the good work!

Lauren W.

Yelp
Upon walking in I noticed the beautiful open space, gorgeous wood floors and funky chandeliers. The staff was very friendly and we conversed with several of them. It's nice and casual and kid friendly. The food was good, but there were no surprises here. Just the usual suspects, burgers, pasta, your standard wraps. I guess I was just disappointed that with this brand new space in a location that attracts hipsters, beer enthusiasts and goodies, that this place would not even attempt to have some originality on its menu. How about some creative hearty sandwiches? How about some funky dumplings for appetizers, creative and unique salads? This place is fine, but with a blank canvas and a fresh start, it's a bummer they didn't seize the day!

Yelp
Pre Covid: I love this place! The food is always delicious, the regular staples plus the Portuguese specialties. It's a must go to! The drinks are strong and the friendly service is top notch! Post Covid: I love this place! The added patio adds to the incredible ambiance and the food and drinks continue to be excellent. The servers and management staff continue to treat us like family and always provide the best service and hospitality around! Lastly, this option for a fun late night spot beats anything you'll find in the area. They serve their full menu all night and continue with their outstanding service! Everyone should come here!!! :)

Yelp
We live close so we're extra happy this place is awesome! Not too busy when we went in on Saturday around lunch time. The bartender was super sweet, attentuve, and she knew every wine and beer they had. After my guy ordered the " prego sandwich " she kindly told us they serve a lot of Portuguese food and she explained what the sandwich actually was so we could make a good decision. I had the chicken fingers - they couldn't have been better. We had fried pickles and they were perfect. Fried and battered - that's hard to come by. I'm elated we found this place and you'll likely see us there if you visit

Paula R.

Yelp
Very friendly staff but the food is amazing...octopus and the cod fish are a must.. my husband looooves the pizza here !!!

Yelp
This review is way overdue. The event I will be speaking of occurred in April 2019 but I am just getting around to writing this. I arranged a birthday party to be held at this location. I called about a week ahead of time to reserve the bales and requested a specific area near the pool tables. Two days before I called to double check they still had the info and they did and knew exactly who I was. (Proving they pay attention). Everyone I dealt with went above and beyond for me. They let me bring balloons and the cake there earlier in the day and held it for me. When it was close to the time of our reservation, they set up all the tables and even added weights to the balloons that they clearly decorated themselves which was a great touch! All in all they helped to make the celebration go off without a hitch and were very attentive to our needs. The only downside was that there was karaoke that same evening, we didn't know would be occurring. That was not the issue, the issue was the DJ was set up right next to our tables and his speakers were facing us. Granted not their fault, We requested the spot we wanted, but I think that since they knew people would be there they should have relocated the DJ to another spot. Or asked if we wanted another spot. It was more of an irritation but not a problem. Made for some interesting jokes about bad singing haha.

Yelp
Look, this place started out rough. Food was ok at first. Bartenders didn't have a great idea of pours and drinks for that matter. But TRY IT AGAN ! That was the BEST PIZZA, I have had in the area, delivery or inside a place in the 12 years that I have lived in this area. Amazing and it was a plain cheese. Drinks were good as well. Drink menu was a good mix. I'm coming back for that pizza though !

M M.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a snack and hang after a night of hitting the breweries and distillery. The staff is really friendly. The fries and sweet potato fries are amazing. They also have a good selection of craft beers from Down the Road brewery, which is convenient if you don't feel like walking a mile down the road to get some. It's also the only place in the area that I know of where you can get chouriço bombeiro, which is basically a flaming chouriço served in a plate. They have a jukebox, too, which is good if you're not a fan of the music that's playing.

Ellen S.

Yelp
The fact that the two of us who went both were sick the next day, is all I will say...buyer beware. It's a HUGE place that was mainly empty.

Amanda M.

Yelp
I don't write negative reviews often, but honestly, this place was terrible. Only 3 beers on draft. Bartender recommended a beverage only after I had finished my third drink. A little too late at that point. Ordered food (the sampler platter) that took 30 minutes to arrive, and when it finally arrived, was ice cold. Ever try to eat a cold fried mozzarella stick? Gross. Only after the sun went down did the bartender tell us we could bring our drinks outside to the little patio. Sweet. Again, a little late. When we went to split the tab at the end (evenly on two cards), the bartender looked at us like we had three heads. She simply couldn't understand what we were asking. I'm not a picky customer at all, but this place was really awful. If it weren't for the spillover from the breweries next door, this place would already be out of business.

John C.

Yelp
I don't believe this place is 100 percent opened yet but it has a major flaw if it is trying to be a sports bar. TVs! Relatively cheap investment. If you have a seat at bar they are ok but they seriously need more "large" screens. They have one on the wall smaller than my computer screen. I gave them stars for having decent wings. The menu was limited. They need to decide if they are a restaurant or a sports bar and go all in. I'm looking for a new bar to watch Sox and Pat's games and this missed the mark

Kate S.

Yelp
Good food and friendly service. Great to have a place in the area that serves food all day. Especially before/after visiting the surrounding breweries. Definitely with a pop in for their nachos!

Tracy B.

Yelp
Came here in between visits to Nightshift and Bone Up breweries. The staff were friendly and its location is great if your hungry and need some calories. I'd try the Brazilian options, would likely be better. Great wine selection too!

Martin F.

Yelp
Great find in the 'Fermentation District'! Very interesting and varied menu, including several perfectly authentic Portuguese dishes. Great beer selection and super friendly staff. It's a family run place, we learned, in business for just a year now. We'll certainly go back, and bring some of my Portuguese in laws.

John S.

Yelp
I love this place. The people and the service. They really treat you like one of their own. I would recommend coming before or after the breweries in this area. Very few places in this area offer late night bar food. Besides Mikes and McDonald's. Not to mention some awesome Portuguese selections!

Katelyn C.

Yelp
Worst place ever. Service is so slow. Manager is so rude. Warm beer. Disgusting food. If I could give zero stars I would.

Carolina A.

Yelp
Great food! I loved the fish and chips! They also have a cool jukebox, and there's always great music choices. The staff is very friendly.

A. G.

Yelp
we were all blown away by their pizza, super delicious n crispy crust, lots of fresh toppings, awesome sauce...outstanding! the wings were meaty n juicy, the mac n cheese super creamy, fish croquettes superb...and the tripe n bean soup the best i've ever had...cooked and seasoned to perfection...can't say enough about this place!

Dan R.

Yelp
Good food! love the cod fish! friendly staff beautiful open space wish John and staff great success

Yelp
A hidden gem that is just starting out. I came across Village Bar & Grill as it is located a short walking distance from my office. I didn't know what to expect the first time I walked through the doors but I have to say, I'm glad I didn't stop in at either of those craft beer places nearby. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a craft beer from time to time. However, sometimes you just want a cold bottle of beer and some grub where you don't have to wait in line at a food truck only to end up paying $12 for a deconstructed grilled cheese sandwich. The Village Bar & Grill has only been open for a month or so from what I was told but it's only going to be a short matter of time before it explodes. My hope is that the word gets out about Village Bar as there's something special about this place. The staff will make you feel like family. Thank you Gislaine, Shayla and Rubia! I hope I spelled their names right :) Nothing but smiles and they are not fake. I worked in the industry many years ago and this is the type of bar I would go to when I had a night off. Give Village Bar & Grill a chance. It's still finding its way but when you walk in and spend some time there, I think you will understand how special this place is. And get the onion rings!! Thank you John for your hospitality. I wish you the best of luck.

Elena G.

Yelp
Just No. The place has such potential, but it is a huge disappointment. I tried to ask the server/ bartender about the salmon, and she apologized because she doesn't speak English. She took my order, but not my bfs. We had to get the hostess to put it in about 10 minutes later. Food came. Mine wasn't even warm. It was two very thin slices of salmon and it was gross fishy. Good points. Rice was really good, steak tips were good even lukewarm. They took my entree off the bill.

H B.

Yelp
Ordered take-out. The pizza was okay, some of the dough was perfectly cooked while other parts were overdone. They do sprinkle a healthy dose of oregano on top which I like. I also got the buffalo chicken wings and they were pretty terrible. Not crispy, not flavorful or properly salted, and the buffalo sauce was meh.

Meghan I.

Yelp
This place is not worth your time. The cocktails were gross the beers tasted like the keg was.kicked and the food was beyond salty. I'm just hoping I don't have food poisoning.

Greg C.

Yelp
This is how it happened - after an afternoon SEC football game, my friends and I ubered from downtown to Night Shift. They had a wedding, we were starving, and we headed towards Bone Up. We saw Village and were so excited! It was like an Oasis in the desert seeing as it was late at night, we're in the middle of nowhere, and I knew Bone Up didn't have much food selection. We get in there and the place looks nice! Large, open areas, plenty of nice seating, a nice looking bar, and positioned between a bunch of craft breweries made me think this place had to be great. First thing I SHOULD have noticed was how empty it was on a Saturday night. I feel like being the only food place in the middle of the fermentation district should make you able to print money. Second, they had none of the beer from either Night Shift, Bone Up, or Down the Road (also no Short Path gin). What gives? Also - no pitchers of beer, just a bucket of 6 Bud Lights for $25. We put in our order. And waited. And waited. I'll be honest I can't say definitively how long we waited. our table of four guessed it somewhere within the 30-45 minute wait area. Mind you, there was no more than 5/6 other tables of people. When I got up to talk to the waiter, the next table over, in fact, beat us to it. They wanted to cash out for their drinks because they were waiting for their food. They paid for their drinks, at a discount with the manager's apologies, and left. I told the manager I wanted the same but let him look in the kitchen for our food. Wouldn't you know it - our food came out. He gave us 50% off the check, which was nice, but two of my friend's food was absolutely cold. I can't say how much disappointment I have - they are in the PERFECT spot - their food was okay, but being where they are between all these breweries should be easy money. They just messed up all around. What a joke - sad!

Katelyn V.

Yelp
This place isn't bad, but it has so much more potential. The space and seating I thought was all great, however very disappointing for a restaurant to open in the Fermentation District of Everett and have an extremely limited amount of local beers. No local beers from the 2 breweries next door or any breweries in the Boston area for that matter. Closest was Clown Shoes and they had a cider from Lookout Farms. The menu was decent with the usual food offerings of a pub, however the presentation off the menu could use a lot of work. It's very simplistic and uses bullets points, with no description of the meals. "Zucchini Sticks," are they baked, fried, any sauces? The waiter was pleasant and professional however you could tell he had very limited experience. No major issues to report there though as our orders were correct and they came fairly quickly. I did like this place and I would go back, I just think it could make a few changes that might really step up their game.

James D.

Yelp
Seems like they're just getting their start. They are putting a lot of working in and it's a great way to start, end, or continue a night out at the bars in the area.

Cameron K.

Yelp
Good service, good food, and decent beer selection. There are not a lot of options in this area, so it is a welcome addition to the neighborhood. If you go to Night Shift, Bone Up, or Short Path, definitely stop by Village and check it out!

Elaine M S.

Yelp
The very best traditional Portuguese Cuisine. The Carne de Porco Alentejana was outstanding prepared as if dining in Portugal. The Portuguese Village Prego Steak Filet was authentic and flavorful. The Vegetarian Pizza was great too! The waitstaff is very helpful, friendly and accommodating explaining the menu varieties, craft beer selections, Portuguese beer and wine and specialty cocktails. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot homemade rolls with seasoned Portuguese olive oil. We loved the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and floor to ceiling mural of historic Everett for those who appreciate remembering our past. If you love Portuguese Cuisine you"ll love Village Bar & Grill Restaurant located in Everett's Village Business District. A hidden gem to be discovered!

Paul F.

Yelp
Professional friendly staff. Great food, I had chicken masala and enjoyed it very much. The place looks great, wide open space, large bar!

Val G.

Yelp
Wonderful establishment!!! The decor is classy and upscale! The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly!! This is a must try!!! If you are looking for a great night out - come to the village bar and grill!!!!

Tameka J.

Yelp
This place is located in an up and coming area. I was excited to have a spot in the city of everett be my new spot so I wouldn't have to travel out of the way for a decent place. However the place is never open when they say they are. I tried two times to go there for lunch and it was closed. I don't think this place is going to make it...too bad
