I had a great experience at this place! I ordered a burger with fries and a beer – everything was absolutely delicious. The food came out really quickly, and the service was excellent. Our server, Crystal, was fantastic – super friendly and attentive, constantly checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great food and top-notch service!

I need to rave about my spectacular experience at Village Bar & Grill. Initially what drew me to the restaurant was their menu! I could eat most of their menu, but their mixed game burger caught my eye and I had to try it. Upon walking in, reception was friendly and asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or restaurant. We said restaurant and were seated promptly. Upon seating we were greeted by server Ryan S. whose friendliness and positive energy set the tone for a fun, relaxing meal. We got iced tea (one flavored, one regular). Nice, flavorful, and not too sweet. My husband got the braised short rib ragu and I got the mixed game burger with a side salad on a gluten free bun. (I’m gluten free by preference.) I was impressed with Ryan and the cooks attention to detail. He let me know that the burger had some gluten with the onion rings and asked if I wanted croutons. The onion rings for the burger came out on a separate plate. I appreciate the care they put into allergy awareness. The Ragu was so good, rich deep flavor and the bread was crisp. My side salad was yummy, fresh and crunchy and the burger….wow! Great mix of flavors with the sauce and meat. We can’t wait to come back again and try more menu items! My compliments to the cooks, Ryan and the rest of the staff. Great food, service and atmosphere. Will come again! A+++++

I hate having bad reviews for a restaurant but this place was pretty underwhelming. We came in and put our names in, and it was a table of 10 people so I'm aware that we would wait. That was not the main issue, however. The host said there was a little gap between tables, if that was okay. We were agreeable, and it was a busy night so we went to sit down. Their version of a gap was an entire aisle, and the tables were not even lined up so we had to basically sit separately for five people and five people. The berry salad I got was tolerable, and the noise inside made us barely able to have a conversation over the main table we sat at. Overall kinda disappointing. Would rather have gone back to the Sunriver Brewing company, honestly.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Village bar and Grill in Sunriver, and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was outstanding, and I couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Our server, CRYSTAL , was incredibly attentive and friendly. Her warm demeanor made us feel truly welcomed, and it was evident that she genuinely cared about our experience. We were so grateful for the excellent care she provided throughout our meal. A big thank you to the entire kitchen team for their fantastic dishes and to Christel for her exceptional service. We got both take out and dine-in here while staying at Sunriver resort. Overall their food is pretty good for a bar & grill. I would pass on their cheese dip if I came again and instead just go straight for their boneless wings (in dragon sauce) and their fries. Their cocktails are very yummy and great options. Service was great as well.

We had an amazing experience at Village Bar & Grill in Sunriver! From the moment we walked in, the service was fantastic—Crystal took great care of us and made our meal even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the fried pickles, which were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The brisket chili was rich, smoky, and paired with a heavenly piece of cornbread that we’re still thinking about. The tomato bisque was smooth, comforting, and absolutely wonderful. To top it off, the drinks were just as incredible. My wife enjoyed a Pinot Noir, while I had the Maple Pear Margarita, which was the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and refreshing. We were so into our meal that we only paused long enough to take one picture! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Sunriver. Highly recommend!

We had the bone-in wings for lunch today. Love wings and have had them in many places. By far the best we have ever had. They were the special of the day. Not on regular menu. We told the waiter how good they were and he said “I hope they put them on the menu”. Nice atmosphere, great service, and food arrived promptly.

Stopped in for a quick drink. I chose to have the Bkack Diamond Manhattan! Absolutely delicious. The Cardamom and Clove with an Anise star was perfect. A different twist on a classic drink, perfect for Sunriver with some snow on the ground. Kind and friendly staff!

Today I dined with my boyfriend's little sister who has Down syndrome. Our server, Shaun (I wasn't sure on the spelling) was the most patience and friendly person. Shaun asked her directly what she wanted to eat while most servers tend to ignore her and look at whoever else is there to order for her. He was so fun to chat with and treated us with so much respect. This was is my first time in Sunriver and I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was fantastic and the restaurant was beautiful! Thank you again Shaun. You made this evening so amazing and comfortable

Mike was a great server. Despite being busy we were seated quickly. I highly recommend the poke nachos. Fantastic experience overall.

They took our group of 10 for a late dinner on a weekday and were amazing! It's definitely a busy spot in the Sunriver Village. Started in the bar with cocktails while we waited for our table to be ready. Spicy Paloma was a refreshing tequila-based drink, not spicy at all but still tasty! The Cadillac margarita had what seemed like juice in it, not what I was expecting, yet I had two so it was obviously not terrible. Steve was our wonderful server, provided helpful recommendations. One being that the fish and chips were their top seller, which we thought the outer batter was a little soggy for our liking. The steaks were cooked more than the ordered med-rare ordered. Coconut shrimp appetizers were good and gigantic. The lettuce wraps were also great, especially with the sauces to top on the chicken and watercress filling. Decent casual spot for a bite, drinks were flowing, but service was what made it all worth it!

Food was delicious and brought out pretty quick. Nice variety of beers on tap. A bit pricey for basic fare but nice break while on vacation.

I have never ever left a bad review for a restaurant, but this needs to be said as a warning to future customers. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and ate almost the entire thing before realizing the chicken was completely RAW. The waitress was apologetic but I will never be coming back. And I strongly advise from ever ordering the chicken.

The Village Bar and Grill seems like the kind of place you would go to after a long day of skiing. It's warm and cozy and mostly seems like a bar that has added food to it. My fish tacos were passable and the service was OK but not great, And the atmosphere was nothing special, especially the view of the lottery board. If I ever go again, hopefully it will be on a warm day and I can eat outside.

Always a pleasure. Everyone is nice and the service is great. I enjoyed relaxing at the bar while the kids got ice cream. Louie is the best!

Food here was terrible. Only reason this place gets 1 star is our server Shaun. I had the Blackened Caesar salad and it was like a bland pre packaged salad for a kids lunch. Tasteless frozen style chicken strips and prepackaged bacon sprinkles on top and it was $18. My pallate was insulted. There are much better options down the street.

Service was so so. We had to ask for refill on water. All four of us drank second glass & still no refill. My salmon had a seasoned butter on it. Menu described it as buttery, when my plate was delivered the butter was sitting on top not melting. Due to the salmon being Luke warm. Mash potatoes were even cooler. Broccoli was cold. Not sure why my food wasn't piping hot. Very disappointing.

Food is great, and you can usually get a table much faster than the brewery ;) We have ate here many times and have never had a bad meal or drink. Sometimes service is a little slow but we all know about staffing issues and don't mind waiting.

This is a great place to eat in Sunriver. There's something for everyone on the menu, including Beyond Burgers that you can substitute for beef on any of their hamburgers. I had the beer battered fish tacos and a blackberry margarita, both of which were delicious. The fish was crispy and fresh. I definitely recommend!

We brought a large-ish group, including kiddos, in for lunch just before the start of an Oregon Duck football game. While they didn't have enough regular tables to seat us, they did have two high tops right next to each other that we were able to sit at relatively quickly. Our waiter was patient with us, even with 5 kids to contend with and he had a really good attitude in general. They were pretty busy, so it was a lot to ask. This time around I tried the crispy hot honey chicken sandwich. On first glance, it doesn't look like a hot honey sandwich, in my head it would have been like a sticky chicken. So I was actually pleasantly surprised it wasn't. It had good flavor but I wouldn't call it hot. I enjoyed the fact that the breading was light, not too much. And I will reiterate that I really like the french fries they have here. Just be prepared, most food in central Oregon can be a bit expensive. But my experiences here have been good. They do have a new nickname they've been using in their logo and advertising that I don't know if I feel was a great choice - Village Bar And Grill = VBAG.... I don't know... haha.

Food was average for a brewery. Service was sub par. We waited for 10 minutes before being greeted. The server wasn't friendly. He didn't check on us. Meal was made wrong and had to wait a long time for it to be redone. We had to walk to the hostess station to ask for a drink refill. He barely communicated with us & only thanked us when he brought the bill. I asked for a manger after our meal and they did refund the wrap that was made wrong, but the food and service was not work $99 for 4 people. We won't go back. There's far better places in Bend & Sunriver to try.

Moved to Central Oregon recently and hadn't had a chance to explore Sunriver. Drove here after work for a quick bite and was stoked at how many options they have for vegetarians as well as health conscious people. Everyone was really friendly, I was seated quickly at around 6:45pm, even though it was busy. I ordered their mushroom Swiss burger and a ginger beer and it was delivered in a short amount of time. It's a fun atmosphere there, with a couple of TVs playing baseball and golf channels. How very typical of Sunriver ;) 10/10. Will return. The bar staff and servers are all energetic and kind people. Shawn and Brad were great and came over to ask personally if there was anything else I needed. Only got a quick picture of the burger I ordered because it was delicious and I didn't want to wait :P

We frequent here a lot (15 years) as we live in the area. We like the lower key atmosphere vs the noisy crowds and long waits at nearby establishments. We can actually have a conversation and hear the other person talk. Autumn and Crystal are our favs, but the whole staff always treats us great. Knowing it is kinda sorta your basic type brewery/pub food, we have never been disappointed in anything we have ordered. My go to's are the smash burger, fish and chips, and lettuce wraps. We always try and support the local businesses, so the VBAG will continue to be on that list.

We enjoyed our appetizers as we were waiting to go to dinner. The lettuce wraps were really good and the sauces really made the dish. The beet salad with a balsamic reduction was delicious. I loved all the beets. The calamari is one that I wouldn't order again as it was really greasy. Overall, we would visit it again.

We have eaten here many times and generally go early due to the crowds. Service is usually quick and the food is well prepared. I don't eat fries often but theirs are the best I have ever had. If you eat here in the middle of summer or the ski season, it is quite the mob scene. I can recommend the Cobb salad, pulled pork sandwich, the salmon and burgers. All in all, a good choice for places and good atmosphere.

Horrible service. Waited for over an hour and never got served. Waiter kept walking around and serving others and just shook his head at us the entire time. Left after waiting for an hour

Great burger and tasty chicken sandwich! The pickles are amazing! They didn't get my order right (no cheese, no onion) but I got past it. Really my only complaint is the fries are NOT gluten sensitive because there is some kind of batter on them. Would be great to offer regular fries as well. At least the server warned me first so I could replace the fries with a salad. I appreciated that.

Stopped in for drinks and a quick bite after golfing. I had a spicy vodka martini that I wouldn't recommend. It was made with hatch chili vodka and pineapple juice and somehow it had no flavor. For food I had a great Cobb salad. Boyfriend had the wings which he liked as well. Had a great side of blue cheese. It was more than he could eat which is rare. Service was prompt and attentive and it was busy in the bar.

Great food, service and it's welcoming when you walk in the doors! People are VERY NICE and willing to do anything to make your visit great!

Wide variety, excellent service, comfortable setting. We were seated out on the patio as requested. Mike, our server, was prompt, courteous, asked all the right questions. It's rare these days to find such professional servers. Mike was notably several notches above par. The food was good, nothing outstanding, but good. The prices seem in line with Sunriver.

My party of four came in around 4 PM on a Saturday and asked to be sat outside on the patio. We were told they were closing the outside in four minutes so we were sat inside in the corner (next to the windows with a clear view of the patio) next to a large party of at least 15 people. After a few minutes our waiter came over and took our drink order which was only two beers. Beers came out in a timely manner, but for the next thirty five minutes we watched our waiter tend to the large party next to us and finally take the food order of the table in front of us who were sitting in their booth when we originally walked in. At this point, we made the decision that if our waiter didn't take our order the next time he was out on the floor, we would leave and go somewhere else. Before we saw him, we watched a group of people go outside and sit at one of the tables on the patio. Right away we got up and walked up to the hostess, handed her a $20 and told her that we wanted to pay for our drinks since no one had helped us and then asked why people were still being seated outside. She told us they were "just getting drinks" and took our cash to get us our change. We just wanted to be done with the whole situation and so we left. We've been to this place several times over the last five or six years and have never had an experience this bad. I'm hoping it was a one off situation because all the other times our service was fine.

The food was great! The service on the other hand was terrible. If you ask a staff member outside of your waitress/waiter you won't get what you asked for.

We were in Sunriver for a conference. After getting a quote at a nearby brewery for 45 min wait for two people we walked a little further and found this gem. We were seated right away. The food was quick and excellent. It wasn't loud and didn't have a cramped feel. The vibe was friendly and comfortable. We will be back...really enjoyed our experience!

Was rather disappointed with the food! Service was mediocre! The food was rather bland, the service wasn't great, ordered a desert, and it was the best part of the meal!

Tasty burger and fries! Good selection of beer! Don't listen to bad reviews, I'm so glad we stopped by and gave this place a shot! Recommend!

We've been here before and it's always great, but I wanted to leave a comment on our server Mike S. He was extremely friendly and on top of everything. We didn't need to ask for anything because he already had it coming out or somehow knew what we would have asked for. Despite getting busy, he was very attentive and checked in with us regularly. Mike S is a wonderful employee and the best server I've ever had at a restaurant. I hope he gets recognized for his performance and is appreciated by his employers.

Although the restaurant only got 3 1/2 stars we decided to try it out to watch a NFL football playoff game. We sat in the bar and they had the game on five TV's. The cocktails were good, service was great, and the food (even with limited bar type food) was also good. If you are staying in Sunriver I would definitely recommend this restaurant to watch a sporting event

We've since been back and our experience was amazing. They have updated their menu and the food was excellent. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would 100% recommend now!

We were out riding bikes today and wanted to stop and get something to eat. We smelled this yumminess coming from the direction yonder when we come up on it we were greeted and sat. They were so nice. We got some burgers, a salad, fish and chips. Everything was so good. Coffee and mango tea were bussin! Burgers done perfectly! Should have higher ratings! We sat outdoors and it was great. We might just drive 14 hours for this burger.. we are not from around here.

We were there to celebrate our family member because she completed her cancer treatment. We started our meals without any napkins or forks. We asked for them and I swear the waiter came to bring them out one by one and we had to keep asking. Then we had to ask for refills of water, side salad I ordered but was missed (and I had to ask for the fork for it again). The waiter looked very annoyed from the start. "Is there anything else I can get?" would have saved him so many steps. It was very difficult to leave the 18% automatic gratuity that was on the bill. On the other hand, the bartender was awesome and he celebrated the occasion with us!

Tasteless Bloody Mary and overpriced food and drinks. Definitely will not be visiting there again.

New owners, many of the same staff and some tweaks to the menu. Yesterday I was served by Crystal, who we have enjoyed seeing for many years. Not only were we greeted warmly and seated promptly, served a lovely fresh Iced tea. On this occasion I enjoyed the honey hot chicken sandwich, but my true heart belongs to the fish tacos. They are simply exceptional. Passing on a side of fries, in my humble opinion, is a sad mistake. Also good, the fresh on tap beers, the chicken wings (so good!) and buffalo chicken salad, the greens and berries salad, the Smokehouse Burger, the fish and chips... so many good things!!! We love the community vibe, the bridge Mondays and the amazing deck on a warm day. You simply can't go wrong!

I was not sure about this place when I first walked in. It was a busy afternoon and had an hour long wait. But the food ended up being amazing. I ordered the blue cheese burger I was not sure cause blue cheese isn't my favorite but this burger definitely changed my mind about blue cheese. along with the burger is the fries, the fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Pretty sure it was fried twice. Next time you stop by sunriver make sure to pay a visit!

Terrible service, noisy, food is mediocre, we gave this place three chances, we are full time sunriver residents that live here year around, most of the good reviews I've seen are from vacationers flowing the SR vibe we get it, it's a badass place to live and it's hard to say anything negative when your on vacay, Owls nest or el caporal are our spots. Or head back to bend and hit CHeBA hut or worthy brewing

Food was good and staff was friendly and motivated! Wish they would expand their menu and bring back there winter fun specials. Bingo Wednesday was a blast and for a good cause! Miss their potroast dinner!

Went here for lunch and it was very busy so we sat at the first available table, at the bar. Not my fave but we didn't have to wait so that was a win given how busy they were. Got a hamburger with a gluten free bun and ordered fries. Server volunteered that they were not gluten free as they were battered. Very thankful for that info! So I got a salad. We got our food within 10-15 minutes and it tasted good. Burger was moist and the bun held together well. Got the chocolate flourless torte and it was good too. Server kept our drinks filled and was very pleasant.

Everything about this place was pretty solid. The food was good, service was good, atmosphere and decor was good. Nothing was bad, nothing was amazing. I'd be more than happy to go back.

Great service. Our waitress took good care of us. We had a short wait to get seated, wasn't a big deal. They told us it would be 15 minutes but it wasn't even 10 and then the hostess apologized repeatedly that we had a wait at all. Not sure why because we didn't mind waiting. We sat outside on the deck. It was nice. The decor is nice too. They were not super busy, but there was still a good flow of people coming in. I ordered the blackened chicken Caesar and chips and salsa to share. The salsa was good the chips were ok. The Caesar was also ok. Not bad, but not anything to brag about. Overall it was a decent lunch and we will probably try it again.

This is a nice place with good atmosphere that gets a lot of business. At times you may have to wait for seating but we have eaten here many times and found the food to be very good. I particularly like the Cobb salad with either chicken or salmon. Both are excellent. There is outside seating for the warmer months. Like most places, they have been dealing with staffing shortages but still the service is good. Never had a bad meal here! Of course they have quite a selection of craft beers and wine. I will be interested to see how they do when the ski season comes.

The V-Bag SUCKS! I have lived in SunRiver for 17+ years and have always supported The Village and ALL of its businesses. During the Pandemic it was 'us', the locals that kept them afloat with our to-go, pick/up orders etc., but now that the tourists are back we are treated as second class citizens. I came into the V-bag at 7:30pm on a Thursday evening, and instead of just bee-lining to the bar to order my food to go, I waited and spoke with the hostesses to order... I wanted, simply some dragon bites with a side of wasabi ranch. The hostess says, we are not doing to-goes tonight, but if you'd like to wait, we should have a table in 45mins to an hour. What the F? I just got off work and I just want food to take to my house and eat, because I LIVE HERE ALL THE TIME! I've supported your business, tipped your staff handsomely and even come to several of your local x-mas party events. Now, I'm done with you, V-bag! I will never again recommend you to anyone and I will shit talk your establishment as much as possible to as many people as I am able. I will frequent the establishments that appreciate my business like; Blondies, Sintra, Marcelo's and El Caporal. I'm sure that the owners could care less because I am just one small human being, but I am part of the year-round local community that works 40+ hrs a week contributing to the local economy and I feel like I deserve to be treated better. Maybe, a better way to handle limiting to-go orders would be to say, that to-go orders are only available to local residents with an identification and a zip code of 97707 ?! Seems more fair than just writing the locals off for the season!!!

Ordered the fish & chips but it was cold in the middle. Good fries though. Service was on point but kitchen needs to pay closer attention to the temperature of the food going out.

Wonderful place for lunch and dessert! I didn't want to go into Sunriver since it was a couple miles off the main highway but we needed lunch, so we gave it a try. We were lucky and found Village Bar and Grill - who didn't have a wait at the time. Our waitress was very nice and the food came out pretty quickly. It was delicious and there was one particular dessert item I HAD to try. The marionberry crisp. Oh...My...God. Its a must try if you're ever in town. We would love to come back to this place to sample other dishes.

We sat out in the patio which was nice because it's in the square. I ordered the Baked Mac and Cheese and it was AMAZING. Cheesy, warm, a little crunchy with bread bits on top. The fries were also pretty good too. Service was great as well, friendly staff.

The OWNER is an asshole, the server was nice but very busy. The owner ruined our experience by stepping in to "help" with our table. I ordered water, he brought me soda water, I asked for a new water and he said "you mean the one right there" I said yeah the soda water? I had a $160 lunch tab left a note saying the manager was an asshole and handed the waitress cash for tip but $0 on the bill. He then came to clear the table at the end and I told him I left him a note. He informed me he was the owner and that I could not come back if I was treating his employees that way. I don't recall being rude to his employees by any means and actually gave the waitress cash for a tip. However, he is to short minded and probably thought I didn't tip her. He does not know how to run a service industry business. Rather than making the experience better he actually made it worse than just having bad service. I don't write many reviews but for this asshole I will.
