Yelp
My mom and I decided to check this place out since we'd driven past a couple of times, we were curious about them, and they seemed to get really good reviews on Yelp.
Well, to put it simply and succinctly, if you're not a hipster, you're not welcome.
The second my mom and I walked in, I felt immediately unwelcome and rather put off. The woman who was the cashier was very cold and unfriendly and the vibe we got was that we should have immediately known what we wanted the second we walked in, even though the specials and other items are not listed on the small menu taped to the glass out front. We took a minute or two to look around the tiny shop before picking out two of their sandwiches, a drink, and a cookie.
In hindsight, we should have just turned around and left because, for the small amount of food we got, and for how meh it was, it came to over $30...
We were told to wait outside for our food to be brought to us, which we did. While the little outdoor eating area is a nice idea, the table we sat at while waiting for our food unfortunately smelled like cat piss. Bummer, and something that was completely out of control and nothing the business could have done about it, so we obviously didn't stay there to eat our lunch.
The guy who brought our food out to us was very nice, which was almost jarring compared to how cold the cashier was when we first ordered. My mom got the pesto toast while I got a sandwich sort of thing called 'The Veg'. Both meals were lackluster and, like I mentioned before, small for how much we paid for them.
All in all, we don't plan on coming back. The migrant hipsters can patronize the place, I'll spend my money at another establishment where I feel more welcome and my bank account feels less taken advantage of.
