Village Corner Deli

Wow!! I just visited this Deli for the 1st time. I ordered the Smoked Turkey Rueben half sandwich. (I wish I had ordered a whole!) The sandwich was so delicious I almost forgot to take a photo (which is also why the photos don't look as appetizing-1st 2 pics). We also ordered the Classic pastrami sandwich toasted. The pastrami was so lean, tender and flavorful and toasting it only enhanced the flavor more!! We also enjoyed the potato salad (if you like salads with strong vinegar, then that's for you). The staff were all very enthusiastic, accommodating and personable. I can't wait 'til our next visit. Update: It's a week later, and we decided to pickup food for the family. Delicious as before!! But this time, we went with the whole sandwiches!! (And I remembered to get photos before we devoured it!-last 4 pics) We had the Smoked Turkey Rueben, the Classic pastrami toasted, the Italian Stallion toasted, and the Cuban (half). So good! So flavorful! The family finished before I could eat half my sandwich! Family highly recommends!!

What a fun little deli! Fantastic menu, and variety of sandwiches. Also, you can make your own with tons of options. They also had soups and salads. Everybody was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. There’s a few outdoor seats as well. Really enjoyed our food and will definitely return

The Duke sandwich was everything. The bread? Soft, fresh, perfect. And then… the horseradish mustard. I wasn’t ready. It didn’t spread—it attacked. A nose-burning, tear-jerking, flavor-packed uppercut that made me question my life choices and then applaud them. It hurt. It healed. It burned so good. And the service? Insanely fast. I barely had time to blink before The Duke was in my hands, ready to change my life. 10/10.

We were visiting Davenport for the day, and a friend of ours recommended The Village Corner Deli for lunch. The service was great, all of their employees are so nice and friendly. I ordered the “smoked turkey Rueben” and it was delicious. They put a lot on their sandwiches for toppings. They also offered kids meals which came with a sandwich, drink, chips and cookie. Their food tasted great and they offer very good prices. I would absolutely come back here if I’m visiting the area again!

The food here is amazing! The service just compliments it that much more. Very relaxed atmosphere where they bring your food out to your table and are so accommodating. The ham and bean soup and the broccoli cheese soup are both really good. We have tried probably half the menu on sandwiches and usually pick two so we can try two different at a time. Highly recommend you check out the Cuban! Don’t forget your punch card!

Hands-down one of the best lunch spots in the Quad Cities. Tucked away in the Village of East Davenport, this deli delivers big flavor, fast service, and a welcoming atmosphere! The staff is friendly and efficient, even during the lunch rush. Highly recommend!

What a gem! If your in the Davenport area and looking to get your bang for your buck, look no further. This local sandwich shop has incredible food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere and service were second to none. Highly recommend the fried bologna!

I came here after running the Bix ready to eat some good food! It was busy and had lots of staff working to move the line. They had many sandwich and side options, hot and cold. I picked out my own sandwich combo and my friends got the specials. Friendly staff and the sandwiches were great! Clean restaurant with enough seats for the crowd. The TV in the back blaring the random news channel wasn't great. Will come back next year!

Good local sandwich and soup deli. Fast service,fresh food and reasonable prices. The only negative was the space is worn and needs updating. The space is clean but needs a face lift.

This is our Wednesday spot! I've tried almost everything on the menu and keep a Rolodex of the custom sandwiches I've enjoyed. You really cannot miss here. I'm a big Cuban sandwich guy and I'll get that 1/3 of the time. Super friendly staff.

I just moved here from florida and my best friend had me try this place. I was a little skeptical at first because im very picky with my sandwiches. I accidentally ordered a cold sandwich and when i arrived they accommodated me (even with how busy they were) and made it hot for me!! It was absolutely amazing. 10/10.

This place fills up quick! A fast place to get an awesome sandwich! They have sides such as pasta salad and potato salad.

The Italian Stallion consisted of quality meats and cheeses on a delicious bun and served by a kind person. Absolutely scratched my 'Italian sandwich' itch.

I absolutely recommend this deli. Had a homey, neighborhood deli "feel." First time visitor-made to feel welcome and like you definitely wanted to patronize this business. Very friendly as we came in, as well as when we left, in a very sincere way. The sandwhiches are generously portioned, and the bread is very fresh. Highly recommend!

Ok! How have I not been here before? Maybe because I don't find myself in the village often, but from now on, I'll make the special trip. I went on a Wednesday at noon and there was a line to the door, but it went fast! The employee taking orders was super nice and professional- I asked his opinion and he happily obliged, suggesting the Turkey Reuben and macaroni salad. After I paid he could have moved on to the next person, but before he did he pointed out where the napkins, silverware, drinks, etc were, and told me where I could find an empty table (near the back) knowing it was my first visit. A little kindness like that is not something you see often anymore in service staff, and it's beyond appreciated. Shortly after taking a seat my food was brought out to me. Toasted to perfection, my sandwich was amazing!! I also loved the macaroni salad. Did I mention this was only $12? Such a great deal. There was an employee walking around and clearing/cleaning tables. Asking everyone how their meal was, I just love that! He also got me a box for my leftover sandwich. If you are looking for parking, there is a free lot on the corner of mound and river dr, quick and easy walk to this deli!

Try to avoid the lunch crowd rush if you can. Service was great. Cozy, little local deli serving up some great sandwiches. Visited while attending a school on Rock Island. I ordered a Monte Cristo, couldn't finish it! Souls looked great but didn't get a chance to try one. If you buy six sandwiches you get a seventh free by the way.

Got carry out here on our way out of town. The food was delicious. We got sandwiches, I chose the New Yorker and it was amazing. Will def go here when we are in town again.

This is the best deli in the quad cities by far. Everything on the menu is a win. The customer service is amazing for the tiny cock prep space! They even do phone ordering helps but I suggest cash when you call ahead pay cash. I stumbled on this shop as I was enjoying the village I hope you try this great little gem. Enjoy! Dean m

Stopped by while passing through the Quad Cities and was not disappointed! The Turkey Italiano was amazing. Lots of veggies and it comes on a simple but really nice sandwich bread. And they even made the meat extra hot to accommodate for my pregnancy, which was so kind! The Buffalo Chicken Wing soup is really yummy, too. The service was great, everyone was so friendly and eager to help us. I would absolutely recommend this place.

Great local spot with classic deli food and modest prices. For a full sandwich, a half sandwich, a cup of soup, a half side salad, a sliced pickle, and a cup of macaroni salad, we paid a little over $20. Were coming from Chicago, so this was a good deal for us. Indoor and outdoor seating options, nothing too fancy. Food came out fast! New Yorker: 3.5/5 My husband got this and it was tasty but the bread got soggy fast and it could have used more meat overall. For around $7, couldn't complain! Ham and bean soup: 4.5/5 Really tasty, creamy, flavorful soup. Highly recommend getting a cup of this.. perfect to dip your sandwich into or just to shovel directly into your mouth hole Half Smoked Reuben: 4/5 Solid sandwich and perfect accompanied by the ham and bean soup!

Hand's down my favorite sandwich shop in the QC. If you go during the lunch rush like I did today I highly recommend you wait it's worth the wait. I did a BYO sandwich with three meats and there's plenty of options to choose from. There's a variety of toppings too including garlic mayo. The sandwich was very filling and the bread had an amazing crunch factor. The price is very reasonable especially considering the amount of food you get. I plan to return and try some of the soups too. You will not be disappointed.

Came here for lunch. It's a great spot with many options of sandwiches. Great prices with quick turnaround and friendly staffs. Sandwiches are delicious. The lines during lunch can be long but it goes through pretty quickly

BEST LUNCH IN QC!!!!! The quality and service here is second to none. Plus they have a frequent user discount card and discount for military, police, fire, and ambulance personnel. Keep it up and keep the great food coming!!!

While on the road to Iowa with family for a quick overnight trip, I pulled up the Yelp app to see what top rated spots there are in Davenport for easy carryout. Soups, sammies and salad seemed like a crowd pleaser so it was hard to be top-rated Village Corner Deli as our selection. For me, it was all about the ham and bean soup. It was the creamiest ham and bean soup I've ever had and the smokey ham really took it to the next level. My half sandwich and half soup combo also featured a thick turkey Reuben sandwich filled with coleslaw, Provolone and sliced Turkey. I would recommend both of these items. In fact, if I were to return, I would probably order a pint of the soup to go for later... no joke, it's that good. The only reason I'm pained to hold back on the fourth star was that the staff wasn't wearing masks while preparing orders. It's such a simple step to keep all involved safe and confident in what they're ordering. I look forward to visiting again one day and next time, I'll come prepared to order a big stash of the soup for the road.

Walking by the village & looking for a place to eat & stopped here I ordered a combo came with a Cuban sandwich & a drink & a side. I got chicken soup.. everything was scrumptious & the staff was very friendly!! I also got a punch card for the seventh sandwich free... Winning!!

Great location with ample parking. Cute setting. Busy at lunch but the line moved and the sandwiches were quickly made and served hot. I got the Irishman and it was super. Loved this place. Next time I'll take my sandwich down to the river which is just across the street.

Wow wow wow! This spot lives up to all the wonderful reviews and 5 stars! It's located close to Rock Island (10 min drive) but totally worth it. Arrived and there was a line but it moved quickly. Looked at the menu before I got to the register and order the Monte Cristo with a side of soup which was Buffalo chicken wing. The sandwich was amazing and piping hot! Tons of meat and a nice French toast type of bread. This is a HOT sandwich which is a plus for me. Who knew something so simple can be so delicious. The Buffalo soup had a mild kick to it and tasted great. Btw, the food comes out FAST. I'll definitely be coming back here more times before I head back to Maryland. If you're ever around Rock Island, you have to give this place a try. Trust me and trust the other reviewers.. You won't be disappointed!

Any time I'm near the village on lunch I'm stopping by for a sandwich. Not everyone has the taste for a Ruben (particularly me) but if you do or don't they do it the right way down on the corner. Also their ham and bean soup maybe the best soup in town. And I don't like beans.

What a nice little sandwich shop. We were all budgeted out and weren't looking for a beer. Fountain sodas, Pepsi products and hot or cold sandwiches that they will customize. I had an Italian meats on chibatta with Italian dressing, it was great. My wife was looking for something barbeque and their BBQ pork sandwich was great. She asked for extra onion and they grilled it and gave her more. Quick great service and the manager actually came by asking how it was. Pretty impressed, great food, quick service brought to our table and a fair price. Did I say free refills on fountain drinks, well that too. Well worth visiting again.

This is my go to for the best Rueben's around. Friendly staff and great play to sit and enjoy or get it to go.

Wonderful and fast service. Was at Rock Island for work and found Village Corner Deli on Yelp. Tried the Cuban (delicious) and was impressed enough to go back the next day (got the Turkey Rueben - also delicious). Slaw is better than the potato salad, but both are good. Great, humble shop with great sandwiches. Would definitely go again if I'm in the area.

I am in fricken love with this place. Looks like a small place that honestly I would have walked past. But I went inside and I kid you not I went everyday for three days straight. The sandwiches are delightful, very filling and super flavorful! Highly recommend the hot ones. Pure deliciousness!

Yeah, the sandwiches here are solid. I had 5 different sandwiches. I'll be honest, not every sandwich was great, but overall my fav was the Irishman and the Turkey pastrami. I didn't find their beef that great, just ok (had a steak sandwich) so I'd recommend avoiding this and I also had their meatball sandwich which I also didn't think was great-would avoid this too. Maybe all beef related sandwiches? Not sure, but the service here is super friendly, if you're military you get a free drink and they've got a punch card which I filled up and got my last sandwich for free!!!

This place absolutely lives up to their 5 star rating! Walked into Village Corner Deli and was immediately greeted and handed a menu. My dining companion decided on the Turkey Reuben and I opted for the turkey pesto. My sandwich was packed with turkey, provolone, lettuce, and tomato. It had a layer of pesto mayo and was nestled inside a warm cibatta roll. The roll was just warm enough that the provolone softened but the rest of the ingredients remained deli cool. The sandwich may not sound all that astounding, but it was made with such superior and utterly fresh ingredients that took it to a magnificent level of deliciousness. I also had a bite of my dining companions turkey rueben, which is one of their few hot sandwiches. It was also astronomically delicious. They work quickly. There was very little time between ordering our sandwiches and being served. It's a order at the counter and they'll deliver to your table sort of set up. They also offer a variety of sides, bottled water/soda, fountain drinks, and hot soup. Their prices are reasonable, their food is amazing, and their service is efficient and kind--get to it!

Go see Chris! He will make an amazing sandwich for you. Everyone that works here is pretty friendly as well. And knows how to make your tastebuds explode. The deli is cute and cozy. And they are pretty quick to getting your order out.

Good sandwiches and great soups. Their location is good but parking was a challenge because we came at lunch time. Had a little bit of a wait because so many people know their food is excellent. Luckily we didn't have to wait for a table. We had the Gobbler, which was a good turkey sandwich, and tomato bisque soup, which was awesome, and fried baloney sandwich. Definitely recommend!

Great sandwiches. EXCELLENT catering. Ross never disappoints!! My husband likes the turkey Reuben and I like the chicken salad. Perfect lunch- can't beat it!
