Perfect pull off the highway spot! The pot pies were awesome. So much great food. All different jams and fudged. We are coming back for sure.

Google
Delicious chicken pot pie that was light, tender and flavorful with being nearly as salty as one would expect. The "apple caramel cloud"was similarly amazing and big enough to split between two people. Though that didn't stop us from also buying the strawberry version too, for science.

We visited on a Saturday in late June 2025 for lunch. We were about to do a kayak excursion with the Edge of Wood Outfitters just across the street and needed some food. We saw that they had some pot pies for sale here and the reviews online looked pretty good. When we stopped by we were overwhelmed by all the items in here. Everything looked SOO good! We knew we had to come back after our trip to get snacks/desserts. We ordered: - Turkey Pot Pie - Chicken Pot Pie - Shepherds Pot Pie - Chicken Fingers and Fries These were so hot and all tasted amazing! I don't know if I could pick a favorite you just couldn't go wrong. They also sell them frozen too but we were on a road trip and there was no way we could keep them frozen for that long. We came back after our kayaking excursion and ordered: - Strawberry Cloud (my wife's favorite) - Caramel Apple Cloud (my favorite) - Carrot Cake Tower (amazing carrot cake, would order again) - Key lime Square (very good flavor, would order again) - Blueberry Turnover (fresh whole blue berries, would order again) - Blueberry Lemon Cookie Sandwich (my favorite) - Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookie Sandwich (kid's favorite) - Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Sandwich (wife favorite) All the desserts were just amazing. We would 100% come back here again and possible go a little out of way as well just to hit this place up. We wanted to buy almost everything in the store but my wallet just couldn't do it. I don't think you can really go wrong with anything here. I'd recommend this place to all my family and friends. Especially if you're doing a water adventure with the outfitter across the street, this is a no brainer. The staff here is also super nice, patient, understanding and happy to help us out in making decisions as non-locals/tourists.

Google
Every year my friends and I golf at Shawnee country club. Every year we average buying 20 chicken pot pies from the village farmer. When you walk in you are greeted with a friendly hello and smile. Hundreds of fresh baked goods. Hard to walk out with just the pot pies. So we dont. We get pies and pastries to eat on the way home. Nice job village farmer. See you next year.

Google
Just what you want from a farm stand type place. Lots of jarred things, pies, and freshly made sandwiches. The sandwiches are huge, piled onto beautiful, soft, white country bread. The apple pie is quite literally one of the best pies I've ever had, crust and all. If you leave without one, you are making a critical error. Last great thing: the prices are fantastic!

Google
They have a bunch of free pie samples and their angus burger is amazing. 10/10 would recommend this place. Staff is so nice, it’s rare to meet people like them nowadays

Google
This place is amazing. We mainly looked around since diabetics can't eat most of what they sell. However, the baked goods look so good, the pastries were so flaky and intriguing. The pot pies are in a hot case and are something we really want to try some day. The lady told us that they can prepare a no sugar added pie with 24 hours notice. We bought some tomatoes and they were the best tomatoes we had in a long time. We went back for more. They have a hot dog and apple pie slice special. They have preserves and jams. They have soft serve. They also have a hot grill with a menu. I believe they also had a coffee bar. Everything about this place makes me want to go back and look around again. I am sure we missed something.

If you are here in Poconos and looking for place to get local produce/jams/ dessert or a hot sandwich / coffee ? this can be a good option. I visited this place in November and it was a good experience. They have a good collection of jams, honey, pies, freshly baked desserts and lot more if you are looking for a quick bite. The staff were super nice and helped with the selection. I tried their egg sandwich and it was delicious, the bread was freshly baked and tasted real good. I also tried their strawberry cloud in dessert and it had really fresh filling of strawberry jam and cream. The place has ample parking spots and restrooms were located outside. Limited seating was available outside. The place was accessible as it was on first floor.

Yelp
This cute little roadside farm is the perfect place to grab a bite when you're out exploring the Delaware Water Gap. They've got a big selection of pies, but the apple pie is definitely their most popular pick. Beyond that, it's the kind of place where you can find a bit of everything, fresh produce, homemade jams and preserves, fudge, and a solid menu of casual eats like hot dogs, sandwiches, and burgers. There are outdoor picnic tables where you'll often see tired hikers, drivers, or cyclists taking a break and enjoying their food. The staff is friendly too. Great little stop if you're in the area and want something simple and local.

Yelp
Delicious chicken pot pies and fresh peaches! Nice shaded area with picnic tables outside.

Yelp
I went inside for the famous "Apple Pie and a hotdog for $4.95 special" and my apple pie was excellent. Apples were Soft but not mushy. I could taste the juice of the apples in the pie but it was not watery. It was a great pie. My hotdog was supposed to have cheese and onions that I paid $1.75 extra for an I got a cold slice of American cheese on my hotdog. Cheese sauce is what I thought I was getting and would have been happy with American cheese (it was real American cheese not one of those processing cheese slices wrapped in plastic) but I really thought it would of been melted. I did get one of every milk chocolate that was in the candy case and they were great! Definitely should get the homemade chocolates. I washed it down with a glass bottle of Stewart's Birch beer. I would go back. But I will say the cook did not make my hotdog. It was a kid. And we Cannot come down on a kid working nights at this place. He tried. He was so sweet and nice. I ate that hotdog ( my picture is a half eaten hot dog) and if that kid is making my hotdog again I'm eating it again. The cook in the back was making burgers and fries and sandwiches and I got to say that sandwich someone got looked really good but I had already committed to the hotdog!

Yelp
I'm reviewing on behalf of my girlfriend and we are torn about leaving a poor review. Normally, we're extra forgiving on independent businesses, but sometimes a sincerely negative critique feels compulsory. We believe in feedback and the opportunity it provides to make improvements and inform others. My girlfriend got the "hotdog and slice of apple pie" special, plus a second/different pie slice as an extra. The beef hotdog was very skinny and tiny (compared to what you'd find in grocery stores). While she said the flavor was not bad, it had an unpleasant scent (I agreed), and the yellowish tint on the outside was off-putting. It looked like it had been sitting on a warmer for a long time, which is supported by the quick turnaround on the order. The apple pie slice was sickeningly sweet and was more corn starch & sugar-type of filling than apple chunks and juices. She said it's the worst crust she's ever had, and I agreed: it was soft and flavorless. The berry pie would've been better by way of the filling being more to her liking (I personally felt it had all the same problems), but the crust was equally terrible with that pie, so she ended up leaving it to "the dog" (that's me; I'm the dog). We've seen other people's reviews where they love the pies, so there's obviously disagreement about these pies; taste is subjective. If this helps you understand the impression we got: I felt like the pies were the same as the cheap, prepackaged, shelf-stable pies from various brands in grocery stores or fast food places; it was not remotely "homemade", in my opinion. The tables of pies on display looked like they'd been wrapped in plastic and set out for many days, so I assume being super sugar-heavy, and therefore shelf-stable (sugar is a preservative), is an explicit goal here. My GF & I prefer fresh foods. Perishable foods just taste better to us. The other stuff in the store was somewhat of interest (the pickled veggies, salsas, and preserves, for example), but far too expensive to bother with, which was a shame. It seemed most everything else was third-party product, and this business is probably putting quite a high markup on those items. Also of concern: the fresh fruit was spoiling in the baskets, next to the tables of cookie packages. I noticed the same with the baskets of vegetables in the displays outside the building. The service experience my girlfriend had was fine. The guy who took the order was friendly, smiled, and made sure my GF didn't leave without one of the pie slices she'd bought (she almost walked out without it). Also, the interior wasn't loud, and we didn't feel rushed or pushed to buy stuff by anyone. So service was no problem. We have no complaint about that. It's partially why this review is conflicting: we don't want to punish a small business with negativity after being treated fine, but the above criticisms are sincerely held responses to the food that have resulted in us not wanting to return, and I think a business should be given the benefit of the doubt and the option to learn this, and that other potential customers can learn of our experience to help inform their decisions. Sorry folks! I hope you can take these critiques in the constructive spirit in which they're offered and maybe improve things in the near future (if there's any consensus that these are issues causing you problems; maybe they aren't, and all is fine for you - if so, great).

Yelp
This roadside farm stand truly has hidden gems.. you would never believe this just by driving by. They are known for their "true love special" they serve you a hot dog and an apple pie. You would never think this would go well together. But oh boy it did! The saltiness and the sweet apple cinnamon flavor paired truly perfect together.. I highly recommend this unique combination!!

Yelp
HOLLY is a DISASTER - BEWARE!! She was nasty, disgruntled, aggressive and racist! She threatens to not sell to me, and to call the police to have me removed. She then proceeded to contact the owner, who was delightful, and resolving the situation that happened for no apparent reason other than port, her misogynistic nasty attitude towards me as an underweight, white female. As a patron of their fresh food and grocery item/preserved I was spending nearly $300 at the store, and she was trying to turn me away as a patron. I've never been treated more poorly in my life when attempting to spend a significant amount of money at a business. This woman needs to be fired. She is out of control and unhinged. Charles, Maddox & Lynn were lovely and attempt to defuse her unreasonable behavior towards me and bring it to resolution as a customer. Overall, I'm still disappointed that Management would allow someone to behave this way. The owner Charles, and his wife who would not present need to rethink who they have employed at their facility. Everything else was lovely.

Yelp
The turkey and chicken pot pie are delicious. I'm gonna go back and get more! I even bought their whole wheat bread and it was the best and even better with melted bitter on it ! Staff were also friendly!

Yelp
I would have liked to give it 5 stars, but the only thing is I can not believe how expensive this store has gotten. Over the years, I would come here with my sister in law and family . I loved coming here and still do . I am just surprised at how much the prices of the food / pies increased in price. The service was great even though they were cleaning up since we got there an hour from closing. We still have some pretty amazing items and definitely will come back. Everything was delicious.

Yelp
12/3/22 I went here considering buying a macaroni and cheese pot pie but at 11$ for a very small pie- I'm sorry I couldn't do it. Plus what I saw in the window looked dried up under the heating element. It wasn't easy to make a decision. If I were in the area I would go back- they do offer lunches too. I settled on a large sugar frosted snowflake cookie for 2$. The taste was delicious but it was very dry and crumbly so I didn't think it tasted fresh at all. The icing was very good. I enjoyed the store and looking at all the pies, jams, fancy pretzels. Lots of unique items- but by no means inexpensive. I saw some pretty pottery mugs but 39$ for a mug?? Are you kidding me?? No how and NO WAY. The girl at the register was miserable so that knocked two stars off for me. Plus the prices and my cookie being stale. . . I'm sick of constantly making allowances "because of Covid". I'm not doing that anymore.

Yelp
Great apple pies and the cranberry muffins are out of this world. I also love their cream cheese pumpkin pies.

Yelp
I had good experience in this place, Freshly baked, iconic bakeshop just on the border if NJ and PA. You can feel the town vibes and folks are extraordinary nice except for some rowdy tourist that I observed talking really loud but I cannot blame them since this place is popular to tourists. Staff are very nice, I am sorry for others who felt differently. Definitely will come again.

Yelp
My favorite pie spot!!! And so convenient to stop at as it's located just off the first Pennsylvania exit on Route 80 :) I've been coming here since I was a young kid. Whenever my cousins and I went to their vacation house in the Poconos, we'd always make a pit stop here for the "true love special" (a slice of pie and a hot dog) and the chicken pot pie. This bakery has the BEST chicken pot pie I've ever tasted and even over a decade later, I've yet to find a chicken pot pie that can beat it! The crust is crispy and crunchy and the inside is ooey gooey. Their blueberry and apple pies are also insanely delicious. They have a HUGE selection of flavors, but I've always stuck to those because as adventurous as I am, I become a creature of habit with the things I crave lol. The staff is also extremely friendly and they sell a variety of delicious looking freshly baked treats and goods from local farms (honey, etc) which I haven't had the chance of trying yet. Highly highly recommend if you're ever in the area! They used to have indoor seating, but I think they've done away with it since the pandemic started. They have outdoor seating but I've never eaten out there. I usually enjoy my "true love special" in the car for the sake of comfortable seating and temperature lol.
google avatar

Jeanne D.

Yelp
We expected a cafe with indoor seating but only tables were outdoor picnic tables - very disappointing on a cold rainy day when you really shouldn't be outdoors in May. Too chilly!!! Hubby ordered a BLT sandwich on rye bread with lettuce and tomato. He said it was "good" but he threw away the fries because they were soggy and undercooked. Also ordered the strawberry pastry that he said was expensive but very good. We also ordered the chocolate covered pretzels for the granddaughters we were visiting later in the day. The place has lots of items for sale inside, from apple butter, jams, jellies and pickles and preserves which are all packaged nearby. Very quaint! However, the lack of indoor seating to eat the sandwich we purchased is a big negative!!

Yelp
This is a nice little spot to eat and take a break from driving. It's convenient if you are visiting the Delaware water gap. They have a ton of locally baked pies, syrup, pancake mix, jams, cookies, salad dressings, etc. I highly recommend buying their salad dressings. I use it all the time. Sandwiches, hot dogs, and fries are also available to order. I ordered a ham, swiss cheese, avocado melt on multigrain bread. It was delicious. The sandwich came with a pickle I took one star off because they don't have indoor seating. It was freezing the day we went to order food, and we had to eat outside. On the other hand, there is plenty of parking.

Lora Ann N.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed this time around we've come several times a year for many years and this time we walked in there were hardly any dessertS in the case what was in there looked old. We asked when they were making the apple turnovers and they said to come back in an hour. I wasn't driving two hours to get there to wait another hour. We got the chicken pot pies that we normally get the dough was so doughy on them, putting them in the oven didn't even crisp them up. So with that said we couldn't eat the crust which is normally very good. I don't know what happened over there, but it's not worth traveling anymore.

Yelp
On July 22 (Mon) around 11.30 am, I went to the shop with my professional tasks trained service dog graduated in Pine Street Assistance Dog school and passed public access test certified by NADOI# 1128, Nicolas Bardon (Cell: 609-214-9794) in 2022 for my disability. Even my service dog was wearing a service dog harness showing "Service Dog" and "Medical Alert", they were so rude to ask us to leave when I need him for my disability. I kindly explained to them that I'm protected by ADA (The Americans with Disabilities Act). I'm anemic with low blood pressure. My service dog alerts me when my blood pressure is low, so I don't fall. If I fall, he was trained to lift and wake me up. They said that because there're food, I'm not allowed to take him. I filmed them and showed that he denied my service dog. I'll not let it go and will continue to fight for my right. This business has to be educated with federal law and ADA. Here is the video: https://youtu.be/pVP6ZSVIXeQ?si=ioNwgm0IgTTZ4Z19 "Does a facility's "no pets" policy apply to service animals under the ADA? No. A service animal is not a pet and so even a clearly posted "no pets" rule is not applicable and the individual with a disability can bring her service animal into the facility." "Can a facility exclude a service animal based on local health SA-1 Page | 4 regulations or concerns? No. The ADA and PHRA specifically allow individuals with disabilities to use service animals and those laws would trump any inconsistent local health regulations." When is it a crime for a person to be denied access to a facility because of a service animal? "Pennsylvania law makes it a summary offense for a public accommodation's owner, manager, or employee to deny access to the accommodation or its benefits to any person who uses a "guide, signal or service dog or other aid animal that has been certified by a recognized authority to assist a person because of the physical disability, blindness, or deafness of the user." https://www.disabilityrightspa.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/ServiceAnimalsInPublicPlacesFEB2018.pdf We did not break the law while my service dog has been extremely well-behaved in the store when they were worried about the food. He did not even sniff at any of their food or any products but only focused on me. According to ADA: "Can a person bring a service animal with them as they go through a salad bar or other self-service food lines? A. Yes. Service animals must be allowed to accompany their handlers to and through self-service food lines. Similarly, service animals may not be prohibited from communal food preparation areas, such as are commonly found in shelters or dormitories." https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-faqs/ Public access test was passed in 2022, here is my service dog channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSOWEA09MKEFIjsr9epOWMg

Yelp
We were looking for prepared food to go so we could eat dinner at our AirBnB without going back out to dinner after a day of hiking. We happened to drive by this place and saw the signs for chicken pot pie and we stopped in. We got the pot pies and a tiramisu - both of which were great - but there was so much more to try here. Too bad we live super far away. Would love to go back and try other things. Also? Never heard of toe jam before. Check it out in the jam section!

Yelp
Cute bakery with tons of bakery and pantry items! So many options to choose from. We stopped here after dinner. I had a slice of apple pie $4, served cold, average. My husband got the cookie sundae - 1 scoop of ice cream and 1 cookie with Hershey syrup for $6.95, seems expensive when 1 scoop $3.50 and 2 scoops ~ $5.50. The M&M cookie was really good. Would stop here if we're in town for one of their breakfast sandwiches and try another pastry!

Harold G.

Yelp
Very nice place great fresh baked goods there coconut pie was amazing along with their apple walnut caramel apple pie that we picked up for Christmas Eve

Yelp
Took a drive from NJ for a highly recommended chicken pot pie. Upon entering this tiny establishment I was impressed with the awesome aromas and all the pastries and candy in the display cases The chicken pot pie looked good and tasted good except that it wasn't baked enough. The dough was mushy which was a big turn off for me. I like a crust and pie shell that's cooked and a bit crisp. The big disappointment was trying to find a table to sit at outside Someone was kind enough to share their table with us but all the tables were filthy. I mean really filthy. They obviously were not cleaned all day or maybe all weekend? Disgusting. I had Clorox wipes and after i used them they were black I did not take photos of the dirt but anyone who has been there lately can attest to this. It seems to me that when you have a nice place to eat and serve good food you should take pride in your seating Especially during covid!!! If you're coming here to eat bring Clorox wipes and paper towels !!

Linda H.

Yelp
Fun place to visit. Love the pies. Great $4.95 hot dog and apple pie special. My family liked the other things they ordered, especially the nice and crispy fries. Wish I could get that apple butter, and those pies closer to home. It takes a bit longer to order, but it's worth it. Sitting outside on a beautiful fall day was lovely.

Yelp
A visit to the Village Farmer and Bakery was the highlight of our visit to the town of Delaware Water Gap today. After a disappointing hike on the trail across from the Arrow Island Overlook (overgrown, mosquitoes, broken glass), and obscured views from the three overlooks on Rte. 611, we returned to DWG to wander the streets and to find some lunch. I craved a real lunch, while my husband wanted more of a dessert. We both agreed that the warm Shepherds Pie (5/5) was very good, with a flaky pie crust, and layers of seasoned ground beef, vegetables (corn, onions), gravy, and mashed potatoes. My husband ordered apple pie a la mode (with coffee ice cream). He characterized it as good (3/5) but nothing exceptional, noting that he prefers Costco's apple pie. I tasted a bite - and note that I liked the cinnamon-y taste but I, too, found it to be just okay. Pros: (1) the restaurant/shop has the feel of "being local", though many cars in the parking lot had out-of-state plates. Givethe choice, we like to support local businesses. (2) as many have mentioned, they have an amazing variety of tempting products -- hot breakfast and lunch items, bakery items, fresh fruit and vegetables (from plums, to tomatoes and corn on cob), plants for the garden, ice cream, jams and jellies, chocolates, and more. (3) good-sized parking lot. (4) outdoor seating available. (4) opportunity to talk with other patrons. This is a VERY popular stop for long distance hikers on the Appalachian Trail. We had a very nice conversation with the Fisherman from Arkansas who told us of his adventures on the trail since late April. Cons: (1) all seating is outdoors, which is problematic during cold or inclement weather -- and the seating is in front with noisy traffic passing by. (2) the shop is not inexpensive; we paid about $18 -- but, that said, we recognize that inflation is rampant now and the cost of the raw ingredients has been increasing dramatically for restaurant owners. This restaurant continues to have a bargain hot dog and piece of apple pie for $4.95 (July 29, 2022).

Yelp
If you happen to be in the Delaware water gap area (corner of New Jersey, and Pennsylvania), then you need to stop off at this bakery. You have the nicest staff, the greatest pies, the nicest staff, the greatest pies... did I mention they have the nicest Steph and the greatest place? Their desserts are fresh and so yummy delicious. And if you don't want pies, no big deal, you can get lunch there and also don't forget about their award-winning pot pies. While you're visiting, it's a good place to stock up on jams, pickles, and other homemade items. Summertime is great to pick up flowers, plants, and outdoor trinkets. You're gonna love every second of it and make sure you say hello to Holly.

Yelp
It was the great road trip of 2019 and the night was spent camping in the Delaware state forest. After a scenic drive along forest roads it was time to find breakfast. Driving through town, I was drawn by signs telling me to "come watch us make pies". If there was ever something that called my name, this was certainly it. They certainly were making pies in the back while we were perusing through the pastry cases, shelves of cakes and tables filled with pie. This was like my version of Disney Land! It took me about 3,500 miles to get from west coast to this point on the trip, this pie shop made it all worth the miles. Pecan pie, delish! Apple pie, delish! Peach pie, Coconut cream, mixed berry; you got it, delish! You get a pie and you get a pie and you get a pie. Before I knew it, I was buying pies for everyone at my destination and was about $60 lighter in the wallet. If I lived any closer, I think that $60 would be just the tip of the iceberg. Thank goodness I'm 7 states away, because that's apparently what it takes to keep me from visiting every weekend.

Yelp
I'm glad that I took this mini road trip to come to this little charming shop! I don't do well in these types of places because I don't know how to BEHAVE MYSELF lol! I spent almost $200 on LOTS of goodies and fun stuff! Jams, pickles, apple dumplings, apple cider donuts, GIANT whoppie pies fruits veggies cheeses ice creams candles fudge and much much more! They even have a deli counter where you can order fresh sandwiches, burgers etc! I ordered a breakfast sandwich and I don't even eat eggs all that much ha! It was delicious! Funny how when I first got here, the shop was EMPTY, I turned my back and it was PACKED lol! This place is AMAZING and I will definitely recommend and stop back here very soon!! Happy Sunday Enjoy!!

Yelp
This place is dirty their floors are not clean. I'm concerned for the safety of this place. There samples are old and their fruits are moldy. Wouldn't recommend coming here.

Yelp
After your hike on the Appalachian Trail, or up Mt. Minsi, Tammany or elsewhere, make sure to stop in here for lunch, a snack, goodies to take home, or whatever. Just know that prices for bakery, wrapped & packaged items are on the high side. Other than that caveat, I had one of the best turkey sandwiches from here that I've ever eaten (maybe it was because it was washed down with a cold beer, or I was exhausted & exhilarated after a great 5 hour hike that made it so perfect.). The place is absolutely chock filled with bakery, candy, jellies, sauces, honey, relishes, ice cream, sodas, you name it, they've got it. Service is friendly (even with the COVID-necessary plexiglass partition) & food is made to order & is take-away. Picnic tables are outside but we were equally happy, post-hike, to eat back on our woods-view deck, hiking boots off

Yelp
Great spot to visit before or after visiting the nearby trails for a fun day trip. There are a variety of snacks, foods, and treats to keep everyone satisfied. Part of the fun is casually strolling through the shop to find hidden gems you won't find at a standard supermarket. If you enjoy purchasing local products then you'll enjoy your time here. Overall it was a great experience but I wish they had more produce available for sale. When I see "Farmer" in the name I imagine there is an opportunity to purchase a variety of fruits and vegetables but they only had apples available. Perhaps it's my fault for assuming there'd be a farmers market aspect to this. I'll still revisit when I'm in the area! I'd highly recommend for people of all ages. Oh, PS, the pies do not disappoint. Yum!!

Yelp
I wanted a bite of everything in this store! The food is fresh and flavorful. My favorite was the apple pie slice which has a generous portion of apples and a perfect balance of sweetness.

Georgianne D.

Yelp
Bought their raisin bread and oatmeal cookies - along with, well over $100 worth of items. My review is only for the oatmeal cookies and the raisin bread - have not yet tried all of the items bought - a lot were frozen for future use, since we are over an hr away. Anyway, the oatmeal cookies were hard and stale, unable to even bite them. The ($5.50) fresh raisin bread tasted so much like a chemical, we had to throw it away. Here's hoping the rest of the items will be OK. We will try the pie today. So sad, we finally got back there since 2020.

Yelp
We stumbled upon the Village Farmer on our drive back from the Pocono Mountains. It was a roadside stop that turned out to be a gem, and a place I think we'll long fondly remember as a part of our trip. If you like pies and desserts, you should love this place. They have a BBQ set up outside, but when you walk inside, you'll quickly find that their real claim to fame are their pies! Just check out my photos. You'll see that they're all about their homemade pies, which are all made on the premises. There's a huge massive table you can't miss inside, covered on top with pies galore, along with a freezer, where they have their cream pies stored on top of a thin layer of ice. I truly have never seen so many pies in one store, and all pie stores generally lure me in! They had a ginormous variety of pies, both fruit and cream pies. As much as I really so wanted to try their pies, we didn't get pies, because I didn't think the two of us alone really need to consume an entire pie of any kind. They did sell them by the slice outside by the grill, but unfortunately, the few slices they had displayed didn't seem very fresh, as compared to the whole ones. Instead, we had a couple of their fruit filled flaky pastries. Both were delicious, but I was especially partial to the puff pastry with slices of apples and topped with powered sugar. The apples were a wonderful indication of how good they must be inside their pies. In addition to pies, cookies, and all kinds of desserts, there are lots of jams, fruit, and some veggies available for purchase. There are tables both inside and out to enjoy your treats. This place is definitely worth a detour from wherever your destination may be. Your tummy and sweet tooth will thank you for it.

Yelp
The best place for pies in the tristate area. Got the French apple, Forrest berry, strawberry rhubarb, and key lime. All were absolutely delicious except the rhubarb. There was a strange layer of uncooked crust under the crumble. First time I was disappointed in 15 years. Purchased the chicken and Turkey pot pies and saving them for a special rainy day meal. . Is that a cloud I see.

Yelp
WOW!! This place is awesome!! Soooo many baked goods to choose from - especially the PIES!! Also the hot dog and slice of pie deal for $5 - literally can't beat it!! They were also giving out samples of their peach pie and cider while I was there. The atmosphere of this place was so cute - the feel of an orchard with a bakery but also a craft store. And the staff was SO friendly! We had such a big order but they told us to take our time and we did not feel rushed. Make sure to stop here and buy some good pie!!!!!

Yelp
The famous hot dog and slice of apple pie for $2.50 is a great way to drag in the tourists! Worked on us! Twice! Everything else is way overpriced and the service is very slow if they are busy.

Yelp
Was driving along and found this hidden gem. Walked in and overwhelmed with warm aroma of pie crust butter and delish. The staff was kind and they have great prices and perfect gifts for anyone. My friends were super impressed with the freshness of this local place along with me. Amazing. Must visit place.

Yelp
A wonderful place to eat and relax after hiking nearby. The chicken pot pie and apple pie are incredible. If not to eat after hiking, definitely to purchase on the go. They also had generous samples of the dessert pies when I visited. That day, they were also serving BBQ. How can a bakery also put out good BBQ, I wondered? Well, it was pretty good! Although a bit expensive for what it was. This place is a gem for Mt. Tammany hikers. Not to be missed if you're in the area.

Yelp
Stopped here today for lunch. We got delicious sandwiches, made to order. They make a wide variety of breads to choose from for your sandwich. They also make delicious desserts, shepherd pies and chicken pot pies. We picked up chicken pot pies for dinner tonight. Such great pie crust! Village Farmer is right off of I-80 on the PA side of the Delaware Water Gap. Easy on and off. If you go during kayak season, be prepared for a crowd. Only port-a-potties available.

Yelp
Just about everything I had was good, service too. Garlic and parmesan chips, chocolate covered pretzels, chicken pot pie (didn't like the turkey), fudge (went back the next day for more), apple pie with crumb topping, brownie sundae and don't forget the apple cider donuts! Just go.

Yelp
On the way to the waterfall and day trip. Nice place for some sweet or coffee. Free car parking.

Yelp
We knew the store was expensive because prices of everything is going up but we wouldn't mind paying for quality. Although the food seemed homemade, we found the chicken pot pie, mac and cheese pie, coconut custard pie, and chocolate peanut butter pies to all be bland and lacking favor. We were underwhelmed with what we got and ended up throwing away about 60% of what we bought. The people were very nice and service was great, however.

Yelp
I have been going to this place since I was born, and I'm now 24. We would come here to get a slice of pie and a hot dog. It was a staple in coming to Pennsylvania. We just stopped back, after a good few years of not being here, and I'm a little disappointed, I'll tell you why. The outside and inside are still nice and exactly how I remember. We came in at a busy time and it seemed like they started to panic. Woman taking my dads order asked if he wanted the pie heated up, he said yes, she proceeded to not do so. Only one person on the grill. The woman taking our order messed it up multiple times to the point where she had to get something else. Tried to charge us $50 for 20$ worth of stuff. Then she deleted it and tried again and it cane out to 76$. She had to bring someone over to help her. I mean, I think she was new because even when we asked her if there was a sauce on the sandwiches or whatever and she would have to ask. So, anyway, she charged me 50 cents for mayonaise just to put a little on my sandwich and then gave my boyfriend a dirty look when he asked for more mayonnaise.. like. Okay whatever. So our sandwiches were very good, delicious. Turkey bacon avocado and cordon bleu. Got a cheese Danish for a whopping $3.50. A little too much for my taste but it was very delicious. She also charged us for 2 waters when I told her multiple times that we only needed one and were going to share. So that's also a thing. This is a childhood memory. And I will always love their food and store. But the people they hire need to get their shit together. If it wasnt for that, you guys would have gotten 5 stars.

We came back for the pot pies and desserts 2 days in a row while vacationing in the Poconos. Delicious!!

Love this place for great pies, strudel and other sweets. Charming outside seating, friendly staff, great selections in local jams, jellies, etc.

Yelp
We will drive 40 minutes to go to this store for their delicious pies, sweet or savory. Their chicken pot pie is seriously one of the best I have ever had! The crust they have on it is second to none, so light and crispy! Ample parking but im sure can get very packed at times. The staff always seems to be friendly and efficient. They also offer other baked good & food to eat along with farm stand items like jams & jellies and things like that. It's a bit of a dive but has been there for years and it's popularity just grows and grows.

Our first time using their bakery and won't be the last! Great staff! Many other items there too. Don't miss out on this gem!

Yelp
Delicious pies and sweets! My fiancé and I stopped by here on Monday morning on our way back home, after spending a weekend at Bushkill. We bought several pies for ourselves and family. So far we have had the apple and blueberry pies and they have been delicious. I can assume that the others will be too. We also bought some fall themed cookies as a gift for family.

Yelp
Cool little farm stand near bakery. The bakery is the star in my opinion. Lots of great pastries and pies.

Yelp
I visited this bakery twice while visiting the Poconos on different occasions. They have good breakfast, pot pies and sweet baked goods. They also have a large variety of locally made jams, hot sauce and candy. My favorite things that they make are the apple cider donuts and apple turnovers a I definitely recommend you try them out if you're a fan i that type of pastry. I didn't like the coffee but every thing else was spot on.
