Yelp
A small intimate place, great food, great service,,and they're "Good People" ! Give them a try, you won't be disappointed ! Billio,WIBG 94.3 FM Radio

Yelp
Incredibly nice service staff here and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. I highly suggest the pancakes with fresh jersey blueberries.

Yelp
What a great place! We went on a Wednesday morning. Great parking, clean, homey and friendly breakfast place. The servers are all smiles, greeted us immediately and seated us. Hot, fresh coffee was quickly served. The menu is not overwhelming, easy to see that all items are fresh and made to order. My wife is a creamed dried beef fanatic and she said it is the best she has ever had. I had the Jersey Devil omelet and it was spectacular! We definitely have a new "Go-To" spot for breakfast in Ocean City. The service is OUTSTANDING! The Village Kitchen is probably 8 minutes, max, from 34th and West.

Yelp
had a great lunch here on our way out of town. hubby had a batter fried cod sandwich on toasted kaiser with lettuce, tomato and tartar with fries. super crunchy filets, perfect fries. I had the veggie burger which was topped with sautéed mushrooms and spinach with melted provolone and a basil aioli on brioche. excellent! great friendly service, homey feel. we will be back to try breakfast next time.

Yelp
We are seniors, Philly foodies, and new to living seasonally here all year round. And I'm a retired chef. The cafe style, all day breakfast/lunch menu is varied, the food was fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the service friendly and efficient. I had the (really) grilled (really fresh) chicken (breast meat) Caesar sandwich and my husband the burger Florentine. He asked for medium rare. It wasn't, but it was pink. We shared the tasty, crunchy sweet potato fries and finished them off. I had lemonade w/o corn syrup and they kindly checked the label for me to make sure it was. We'll be back. Often.

Yelp
This is our "go-to" breakfast and lunch place. The food is always excellent and Loren and her girls are always very attentive and friendly. Plus the prices are very reasonable. My favorite is the cream chipped beef on toast. So good! Makes you want to lick the plate!

Carole L.

Yelp
When I first saw this place, it didn't look like a hole in the wall to me. It looks like a small cafe, cheerful & inviting. I've been there a few times & the food was consistently great. I always ordered the Eggs Benedict as many places don't serve it. Try this place, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Heather C.

Yelp
We ate here twice in the three days we were in town. The food is fabulous, and the service was excellent. They cooked over medium eggs exactly over medium. The home fries and hash browns were both perfectly crispy. They only take cash, and they have an atm onsite.

Ulysses D.

Yelp
The Ambience, Food, Service from the younger waitresses was excellent. The season waitress behavior was with a questionable undertones. The food was delicious.

Michelle S.

Yelp
So good! Great service! Friendly staff! Food came out HOT and delicious! I really liked the home fries :) Pork roll was cooked perfectly. Easy to get to from OCNJ south end. Cute place I will definitely be back :) Oh- it is cash only so plan accordingly...atm on the premises if needed.

Yelp

Eileen W.

Yelp
These people are like family, and the food is always delicious. Their soups are so creative and flavorful. Yesterday my daughter had Clams Casino soup, while I was in heaven eating the Creamy French Onion. Great people, great food!!! Eileen Ward and Rachel Slaughter

Debra S.

Yelp
Love the food and service here. Atmosphere is clean & quaint. Only downside is Cash Only

Phil D.

Yelp
Great soups, breakfast and lunch. Servers are the best! I highly recommend. If there is a waitlist, don't leave, it goes fast and it's well worth it.

Yelp
Love love LOVE....The Village Kitchen! Delicious handmade food from soup to delicious grilled wraps and sandwiches to blueberry pancakes! I have been going to the Village Kitchen almost my entire life. I have taken my kids there, at least once a week, since they were born!! Staff are highly efficient, fast and courteous! Definitely one of the best little restaurants to grab lunch at the shore!

Frank B.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast, we went during the week so we got seated right away, lots of parking available

Pat B.

Yelp
Our favorite breakfast place at the Jersey shore, great food, service and prices. They offer daily breakfast and lunch specials and serve breakfast all day (till 2;30). Great place.

Jasper B.

Yelp
Nice food, very filling. Service was very fast and kind. Atmosphere was very inviting.

Maria A.

Yelp
Great little spot for breakfast at the shore! Will definitely be back...great menu, decent prices, casual atmosphere.

Mike G.

Yelp
This place is probably my favorite breakfast place at the shore. It's near the bridge to OCNJ and is tucked away in a shopping center near Shoprite. Let me start by saying, the breakfast was all cooked to perfection and is homemade. I got the pancake, and a two egg, corned beef hash, and Texas style toast platter. The eggs were perfectly cooked "dippy style" and the Texas toast In them was divine. The corned beef hash is homemade. It's BETTER than the traditional canned kind most diners sell. It's actually BETTER! Get it, you won't be disappointed. The pancake was PERFECTION. It absorbed the syrup perfectly and still tasted cooked with the slight crisp. My server (I didn't catch her name but she had clear framed glasses and short hair) was super sweet and very attentive. The ONLY reason this didn't get a 5* review is because it's cash only. We are in 2021 people.. take cards/venmo/PayPal/any digital currency. Again, take cards and it bumps to a 5*.. otherwise food and service and cleanliness is OUTSTANDING. I'll be back many times.

Domenic L.

Yelp
Best breakfast spot in Upper Township in my opinion, and maybe better than anything in Ocean City! Great staff, super consistent food, and the menu always has fresh options for those of us who aren't just creatures of habit.

Lucy M.

Yelp
The food is delicious and great quality, the service is fantastic, love all the girls there, this is my cheers. Great ambiance and it's like the local neighborhood hang out. My favorite spot in upper township.

Andrea M.

Yelp
Love this place! We used to come here all the time as kids and I haven't been back in so long. I forgot how much I missed it! Such a cute little place with great food. The service is super face and everyone is very friendly. It was my boyfriend first time dining there and he already has his next meal there picked out!

barbara l.

Yelp
The food is wholesome, well prepared, delicious and service is good! Good service and a friendly atmosphere.

John S.

Yelp
We stopped here on a whim on our way to our destination and we made the right choice. The portion sizes were huge, the quality matched the size too. We got a couple of cups of the creamy chicken rice soup to share and it was the best soup I've ever had. I got a breakfast bowl with chipped beef and gravy over top and that was great too. Everything on this menu is made here, no shortcuts. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to get a table, however the waitress we had was great!

K J.

Yelp
Between the service and the food, this place is my new favorite when I'm on vacation in OCNJ. The Caprese ciabatta is so fresh and flavorful. My sister got the turkey burger and the jalapeño mayo was so good we dipped our fries in it. The orzo soup was delicious and I saw them package a few pints to go while we were eating. If we weren't leaving to go home I would've gotten some as well. The servers were super friendly and attentive. This will be our first stop when we come back next year!

Kevin Scott C.

Yelp
Such a sweet little cafe. The food is always great. The staff is so nice! They always take care of my elderly parents who go every weekend during the spring and summer. Great little brunch spot off the beaten track.

Fran H.

Yelp
Great small spot ... good shore find off shore and tucked away enough to be a diamond in the ruff. We wanted a basic breakfast not stuffy and good. We found what we were looking for . All meals were good, homemade, hot , and tasted great. I recommend . There were tables outside which made this a perfect choice . Service was on point and prompt. Remember it's cash only ... but they have an ATM if you forget .

Gabriella B.

Yelp
The staff there is super kind! Very fast service & an adorable little breakfast spot right outside of town.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Was at the beach this weekend and took a 15 min drive from Sea Isle to this place. It was worth it. Had a wonderful breakfast and will defiantly be returning to. Actually, our relatives went there today based on our recommendation! Keep up the great work and we will see you the next time we are down!

Mike P.

Yelp
This place was great! I loved their grilled sticky bun, I have never had one before and it was 100% worth it. It one less culinary regret I would have if I died. I had the chipped beef with country toast and it was delicious. There wasn't a single scrap left on my plate. After eating their chipped beef I feel like I need more of it in my life. The service here was pretty good. the waitress was nice and we were seated pretty promptly especially considering we came at a pretty busy time.

Alyse J.

Yelp
This was a great brunch spot. It was kind of randomly located and the restaurant itself was a bit packed, but the food was really good and and they had great options! I ordered an egg-white omelette and it was loaded with veggies. I had no problems substituting the home fries for waffle fries, which I thoroughly enjoyed because they were perfectly crisped. We also shared a stack of blueberry pancakes for the table, and the pancakes were pretty good. Our waitress was nice, attentive, and the service was fast. They offer lunch as well, and we ordered a sandwich to go for my boyfriend's brother, and he said it was really good. Overall, we would recommend Village Kitchen!

Aimy A.

Yelp
Cash only I am staying in Ocean City and this is only about a 6 minute drive from where I am staying. I ordered a French Onion burger and a chicken Italiano ciabatta. Both sandwiches tasted really fresh with great flavor. My husband liked it so much we decided to get breakfast there a couple days later and sure enough they did not disappoint. I ordered the village scramble bowl (country version). There are 3 different types of bowls that are not listed on their website menu. They have tex-mex( sausage, hot peppers, and cheddar cheese), country( ham, onions, peppers, American cheese), American ( bacon , tomato, & Swiss cheese) . Only complaint is they should wrap up the toast for the village bowls so the steam in the container doesn't make it soggy. My husband ordered the Caramel French toast and he said it is one of the top French toast he has ever had. We are here for another week and we may have to make a third visit.

Yelp
I used to live right around the corner from this place and would come for breakfast and/or lunch all the time! Great food, nice staff, perfect spot to come and avoid the tourist headache of ocean city right over the bridge!

Mark P.

Yelp
Have been customers here for years. It's always been a good spot to go. It's been getting popular over the past few years so it is always busy these days. We make it a point now to only go during the off-season to avoid the crowds. The food is very good! The staff is friendly and the coffee keeps on coming. I like to sit at the counter and read the house newspaper. The Country Village Scramble Bowl it's really, really good! Cash Only

Christine L.

Yelp
Have been here a few times and not had anything that was not excellent. Soups are delish and have specials daily. The country hash bowl is made with their own corn beef hash and chipped beef recipe. Sandwiches for lunch are used with fresh ingredients and full of flavor! They don't accept credit cards but have an ATM.

Timothy Shannon S.

Yelp
I never got a bad meal there. Great service. Eggs Benedict the best. Get there early on the weekend it gets crowded

Annette S.

Yelp
They serve a delicious breakfast and lunch. They also offer daily specials. The breakfast bowl is one of my favorites and if you desire to add a little something more to it... all you need to do is ask. Coffee is fresh and the orange juice tasty. I find the staff to be attentive to refills and there if you need guidance in making selections. It can be busy, so get there early or you may need to have patience. It is a small and quaint place to enjoy food and friends.

Alex T.

Yelp
This was on my radar all summer and I'm glad i finally tried it out. I ordered a Tuscan turkey panini to go. It was the best sandwich i had all summer. Fresh turkey and fresh bread grilled to perfection. Some places just toast lightly and call it a panini. This was the real deal. It was obvious all fresh ingredients are used. The place is a little on the small side but clean. The servers were all extra friendly and you can tell they have a regular following. Addendum : went back this morning for Breakfast. Had the Village Idiot breakfast sandwich which is a monster sandwich and like a full breakfast on a toasted kaiser roll. Perfect amount of bacon, sausage, egg and cheese. And just in case you thought that wasnt enough, they throw some hash browns on it too. Took half home cause i wanted to try the french toast too. Just a short stack of regular french toast. It was the right amount of cinnamon. Syrup was tasty too. While sitting at the counter saw the breakfast bowls which seems to showcase the kitchens creativity. Its one of the more popular items as is the crunchy french toast which i will definitely try next time. Once again service was very friendly and efficient.

Yelp
Always the best breakfast. Never disappointed. Pleasant staff and a great menu....especially the homemade soups.

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
This was such an adorable little cafe service breakfast, lunch, and several homemade soup options. The waitresses were extremely friendly and cheerful, with great senses of humor. The people who came in to have brunch seemed like locals and regulars of the restaurant. They served breakfast until noon, with an hour lunch and breakfast overlap, so there were several options for brunch! I decided on the Florentine omelette with spinach, Swiss cheese, and hollandaise sauce. It had the perfect amount of spinach and cheese on the outside with the rich sauce poured over the top. I've never had an omelette like this one and was very pleased with my choice. It came with home fries that were pretty tasty as well! There was an option for two slices of toast on the side for no extra charge, making the breakfasts pretty large portions. I was filled up from my meal and couldn't even finish the toast. The restaurant is cash only so that might be inconvenient for some, but it is well worth it! The soups sounded amazing and I would definitely be willing to try them out. I will keep this place in mind for brunch the next time I'm in town!

Robyn S.

Yelp
Never disappointed with a meal at Village Kitchen, love the 1/2 sandwich and a cup of soup lunch offers, and my go to breakfast, it's a toss up between creamed chipped beef or the Farmer's omelet, be sure and get country toast no matter what you order!

Tamara G.

Yelp
I've lived 10 minutes from here and had no idea this place existed!- we will definitely be back! We ordered the sweet potato and sausage gravy special & it was out of this world! The bacon was also cooked to perfection!! All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I don't have a bad thing to say. When we left we said, "This'll be our new go-to". Can't wait to try out all the other meals.

Brianna L.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast spot in Jersey. All of the waitresses have been there for years and are all super sweet! The food is always fresh and delivered fast. They're keeping up well with COVID safety precautions! I would highly recommend!

Mike B.

Yelp
Excellent find...., 20 years living in OCNJ i never knew of this place...Great breakfast starting with the coffee...Had a "scrambke bowl" which was off the charts and wife had blueberry pancakes which she loved... service was great too....will be back very soon...highly recommend!!!!

Kelly L.

Yelp
Amazing food. Village bowls were delicious, burgers were incredible and the chunky monkey pancakes will not disappoint. This will be our go to place when we are in Ocean City. I read a previous review and they called this a little hidden gem.. truly is!!! So happy we went by the awesome reviews and tried out Village Kitchen. The service was great too.

Karen M.

Yelp
I was thoroughly delighted with our visit there. The food was tasty - nothing fancy but very enjoyable. The service was good and friendly. It was a meeting spot for a group of friends coming from different directions. We will return

Lori S.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Small place but has great service. We have only done breakfast so far. Can't wait to try lunch there!

Misty R.

Yelp
Loved this! So nice and clean. Servers were friendly and on their game. My breakfast was excellent!!! Two eggs- perfect over medium- and the best banana chocolate chip pancakes!! So get the pancakes!!!!
