I just had to share my excitement about a fantastic butcher shop that has been delighting customers since 1977! This family-owned hidden gem not only offers unmatched quality products but also provides friendly and genuine customer service that keeps you coming back. Whether you're searching for gourmet spices, delicious cheeses, or the perfect wine to pair with your meal, this place has it all. Personally, I love calling ahead for their amazing meatloaf and breakfast sausage—they're always ready when I arrive! Trust me, this will become your go-to spot!

As someone who likes to support small businesses, I always try to go out of my way to give my business to them. I've always passed by this place and thought I'd give it a shot one day well today I did and I'm sorry I did. They have the most unfriendly staff that make you feel like they could care less if you give them your business or not. The first sign of rudeness was when I was talking to him on the phone and letting him know that I would pick up some Cornish hens, he rudely said we're open till 6:00 and hung up on me. I thought that was rude but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe he was busy. I showed to pick up the hens and was disappointed because they are the exact same hens I could have picked up at Walmart for a few bucks less. But I thought that's okay if it means supporting a small business, I asked him about getting some lamb and instead of being friendly about it he pointed me to the freezer without giving me any more details. While I was asking the man a second question he rudely turned on a dime and walked away dismissively, leaving me as I was still asking him the question. I felt foolish that I went out of my way, spend extra gas, and pay a few dollars extra then I should have just to give this place my business and he treated me so rudely. I certainly will never set foot in this business and so, from my experience, I certainly don't recommend this place. The reason why I'm giving this one star is to make him think about how he treated me and think about not being so dismissive to others.

Google
First time visiting and will definitely return. Nice, VERY helpful people and gorgeous selection/variety of meats and poultry. Plus, they also have alcoholic beverages to possibly pair with your choice of meat(s).

Google
Always a delight to go here. The prices are high but so worth it - the meat is truly excellent in quality. They also have exotic meats like boar and elk, alongside staples like chicken, duck, and beef.

Lisa Farquharson

Google
This is the best place to get good meats to grill out and enjoy!! We go here all the time to get our meat. We highly recommend this place 👌

Google
I have been to nearly every butcher in Las Vegas. Undoubtedly, most def this is the best butcher shop in the city.

DJ Deltenre

Google
The best. Every kind of meat you could want from frozen to fresh cut, all grass fed. Some are preseasoned. Some are pre-stuffed. All are the best. You can’t go wrong.

Shawn Hackler

Google
We came in for some short ribs while in the area and weren't disappointed! The cuts were large and they came out extremely tender. Better than anything I could get at the grocery store. The shop itself lacks charm and the overall selection was a bit limited, but the meats all looked great and there were some exotic offerings. From rabbit, to camel, to classic game, like elk and venison, you'll have some fun planning your next meal. We didn't buy any wine but there looked to be a little something for many different tastes, and the shop had a decent handful of other products like marinades, rubs, and whatnot. We stopped in on a whim and glad we did!

Yelp
Village Meat and Wine is an outstanding local butcher and specialty store. I first visited to obtain restaurant quality Foie Gras and have since considerably expanded my range of purchases. Holiday items must be ordered in advance on line, in person or by phone. The holiday hams are something extremely special. I do not eat ham - never - unless it ends in a vowel (can you say imported prosciutto) or is made island style with molasses cherries etc. The ham from Village Meat and Wine literally changed my life. It melts in your mouth. It tastes like ham but a type of ham eaten by Gods, Vikings and kings. The prime rib is likewise excellent and special. The lamb is exceptionally and made and sold to order. Other specialty items include elk, bison, wild game, heirloom organic fresh turkeys. Bangers and other European specialties and spices and sauces and more. Check out the shelves and freezer and meat chest. Go for it.

Yelp
Great shop with specialty, hard to find meats. They make their own sausage and it's excellent. I got the Italian (not spicy) and it was a hit. They also have Gelato which is the real deal - the Crème brulee was so good. This seems to be a family owned / operated business and the passion for their products shows.
google avatar

Yelp
It's very expensive there is a lot of different meats, products to choose from., but they are out of my price range. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! There aren't very many neighborhood butcher shops around the valley. Great cuts of meat, weekly specials, frozen foods, exotic meats and sausage, wine, cigars, sauces, sides....what have you... it's all here. I love their brisket patties which make the best burgers and my German shepherd dog loves the lamb mix esp made for dogs and can be found in the frozen section. Friendly staff and the owner always says hello. Love supporting small businesses!!!

Yelp
Can't believe I lives around the area for over a year and never been here. This seem like a mom and pops shop. One day I stopped by close to 6pm, that's actually time for them to close, I know exactly what I needed, so just going to be a quick in and out, soonest I walked in, I apologize ahead of time, and told the lady I'll be quick. She was so kind and told me no worries, take your time, we still have things to do before we closing. I got me the ribeye steak, and they got one of those measurement display, it show exactly how thick the steak can be cut, half ins, 1 ins, 1.5 ins, 2 ins and so on. I will definitely be back, I love supporting mom and pops shops

Yelp

Keith Horst ..

Yelp
Quality meats & cheeses. Super friendly & welcoming staff. Ordered my Turkey for thanksgiving & was offered the option of picking it up 1,2 or 3 days before Thanksgiving. This business is a throw back to the good ole "customer first" days.

Yelp
Love the meat, love the service! Locally owned small business - Call ahead for pickup great. Check them out.

Yelp
I could give a 0 if I could. Nuff said! Just make sure u don't ask for help cuz owner doesn't care. I called first time and knew I shouldn't have ordered as he said he was too busy for my call and other girl said best to keep owner off phone? Omg

Yelp
10 stars ! ! I am so glad I've found this place ! The people there are so very friendly, the place reminds me of my small town back in California. This place is one of a kind and I am grateful to have found them. It was thanks giving and one of the staff members were kind enough to put the last tri tip to the side for me. The small things matter and I must say they have certainly made my day!
google avatar

Yelp
Good quality meats! The butchers were very helpful and very friendly. The place was nice and clean.

Yelp
1st time trying the meat I had them cut ribeye the thin slices so I could make philly cheesesteak. The meat came out perfect I will be back again

Yelp
I've been coming here for 15 years or more. The absolute best place to buy beef. I also love the specialty items. I don't get the complaints about the owner Tim. I think he's one of the best and most knowledgeable business owners in Vegas. He's just incredible. I am sorry he no longer sells stuffed chicken breast. They were the absolute bomb
google avatar

Yelp
Probably one of the last full service butcher shops in the Las Vegas/Henderson area. Pricey but you get what you pay for. And especially if want something special during the holidays, this is your spot. They can butcher or order almost anything you want accompanied with great customer service. Been going there on and off for many years...Never been disappointed.

Keith Y.

Yelp
Great service and selection of top Prime for a fair price been going to the Village for over 20 years!

Yelp
I got here a few mins before closing and the two people in there (I think husband and wife?) were gracious and patient. There was a good selection of meats and I left with a giant bone in and skin on turkey breast, turkey wings, duck breast, hot links, and a beautiful prime steak. I just made the steak tonight and made the duck breast a week ago. Both were the best I have ever had! I made a sauce with the duck breast using my own ingredients, but they had a selection of smoking woods, sauces, and other gourmet things. The selection is surprisingly plentiful. I gave the hot links to my uncle, who loved them. I'm already planning a trip back to look at their non-meat selections!
google avatar

Yelp
I bought lamb chops for Thanksgiving and they were delicious however I think I should have bought more because they were in the small side. I bought chicken thighs for an appetizer and they were fresh. They also turned out well. I also bought two tamales and I was disappointed the filling was not very good. I have not found any decent tamales. I have bought them at Whole Foods they were also terrible
google avatar

S T.

Yelp
Just average, not a wide selection, some of the delicatessen displayed are normally at the low end in a regular European store. You might impress your guest if you know your gourmet food, but if you know how to pair that and your wines already, then you'll be reaching the same conclusion as mine... P.S. This is my personal opinion and I post it as a review only .... Just saying, you know !

Yelp
I will NOT be going anywhere ELSE for meat or poultry again.. Worth every penny spent.

Yelp
I often visit VM for regular cuts of meat and no issues with the meat but got very little advice from Mr Butcher when I wanted to ask advice on new cuts or preparation for special occasions. For Christmas we ordered in advance a tenderloin of beef to have a roast Beef Wellington. We ordered 4 lbs knowing it might be on the large side. Generally The recipes advise 2-3 lbs. no problem we can use for steaks. We picked it up Christmas Eve ($135) and it was already packed and we could not see the product. Most butchers will proudly show you their preparation. When we unpacked we were surprised and exasperated by the quality of trimming and preparation not done. Sinews, nerves, fat silver skin. See the photos. My wife got to work and after maybe one hour we had something that resembled what we wanted. I sent the photos to email address same day but had a no reply response. Called The Butcher yesterday and advised of the issues but he was not very helpful. My issues is not with the quality of beef but with level of preparation, care and communication of butcher and having to carry out so much home prep and discarding of certain areas of the meat. Will be reverting to Whole Foods Butchery for next go with a Wellington.

Yelp
A great locally owned shop. Caring a great selection of fresh meats, wines, and other harder to find gourmet items!
google avatar

Yelp
Picked up some Lamb Country Sausage from Village Meat & Wine, removed the casing, made into hoagie sized patties and grilled, made a sandwich! "Off the freakin meat rack!" aka This sausage was delicious and this place is can't miss! #buylocal
google avatar

Yelp
Great meat selection and prices! Wagyu!!! Also, this is like the only place I could find hot cherry peppers, so yeah, big plus in my book
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome place! Staff is knowledgeable and very nice. Old fashion customer service! The shop is super cute and amazing quality!
google avatar

Betty R.

Yelp
Store is exceptionally clean the meat looks so fresh the people are knowledgeable friendly have shopped there for many years and never had one disappointment everything else they carry besides the meat is top shelf if you want the best definitely go there Betty & Harold

Alison M.

Yelp
Great local shop for specialty meats and wine. The brisket burger patties are a favorite in our household!
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
Hands down the best meat you can find in Las Vegas. From chicken to pork to steak, whatever I buy is delicious. Mom and pop shop too. Always friendly faces when you go in.

Molly S.

Yelp
This is a great market! Their prices are comparable to other butcher shops in Vegas and their selection is vast. They have wonderful customer service. I recently got home and realized one of our steaks hadn't turned out how I'd like and they were happy to replace it. They are family owned and operated and you feel that when you're there.

Karen M.

Yelp
Rude! I have shopped at this market for a few months and felt being rushed out their market because of my service dog with me. I will never shop there Again and will not recommend my friends/neighbors to shop! Also way too expensive!
google avatar

Dan H.

Yelp
I agree that the meat is good... But I also have to agree with some others on the male owner..... It is one way.... His way...he obviously skipped the customer service classes when he was growing up... He can be a real dick.... Looking for other alternatives moving forward....

Gina G.

Yelp
Bought steak and chicken . It's usually fresh .. not this time. Didnt check in store cause usually good.. smelled..sticky ..$100 worth of meat and chicken in the garbage. Not fresh ..was very disappointed

Karen C.

Yelp
Terrible Customer Service the owner and his staff Bad Attitudes! You all need to take classes Adjustments Attitudes with Good Service Skills! We are Shopping Elsewhere!

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised to find this place was right around the block from my house. I've passed it for years and am regretful I haven't seen it until now. My household loves to cook and also loves meats. This place is small however their selection is vast. From meats and cheeses to wines and pastas, I feel the need to buy bare minimum from a regular grocery store now.
google avatar

Barbie S.

Yelp
This place is like a meat candy land! I have been buying ALL of my meats here for years. The prices are the same if not better than the grocery stores. They also have a store full of wines, seasonings, dry gourmet foods, cheeses, pasta, butter and lots of other amazing tasty items. PROS: ALL prime meats Variety of wild game and meats Truffles Super cool owners Large wine selection Gourmet cheeses Pate (all kinds) Steak tartar You can honestly taste the difference from the grocery store meats and meat market prime meats. Taste for yourself.
google avatar

Yvonne L.

Yelp
Love the variety I can get her for a reasonable price. I don't live in the area so when I go I stock up!

Jake F.

Yelp
Top notch quality of meats and very reasonable prices! Try the wagyu & home made sausages - you will not be unsatisfied

Larry F.

Yelp
The prime meat is great. But prime meat is great anywhere. The condescending, know it all attitude of the owner is horrible. I bought a very nice porterhouse and flat iron steak. Then asked if they were willing to special order a whole prime rib (it's called a 109a) for xmas for me. Not only would they not order it, he wanted to go on telling me why it wasn't worth it. The problem is, I've only been cooking prime rib roasts for 35 yrs. I know exactly what I want for xmas family dinner. I will not return. He could have handled this so much better. The longer drive to The Butcher Block will be fine by me.

Bill E.

Yelp
Stopped by Village Meat and Wine to pick up some steaks for Father's Day. They were the most fabulous steaks, better than any restaurant we have dined at in Las Vegas. The entire shop was full of wonderful high quality products. It will be the only place that I buy my meat from now on.

Claire K.

Yelp
I shop there quite often and this Christmas I wanted a ham......the owners wife told me about the Kurobuta ham......absolutely wonderful......everyone raved about how delicious it was......also they have the best Kobe beef hot dogs......and their cheese selection is great.....the best gourmet meat store in town.......A+A+
google avatar

Debra K.

Yelp
Simply the Best in the West! Best , meats, wines, cheeses and specialty foods from around the world. The most wonderful owners! Send them your email address for information re; wine tastings,etc...
google avatar

Mindy A.

Yelp
Who isn't a fan of a local butcher shop that sells all sorts of USDA Prime cuts at a decent price? I got ribeye for around $16/lb and bacon-wrapped filet, for I think $30/lb. They run specials all the time, but if you get there Saturday evening, they're probably out. There's also a decent selection of wine, a smaller cooler of side items like twice-baked potatoes and mushrooms, and a small shop of gourmet oils, etc. One star off because nothing is grass-fed.
google avatar

Ted J.

Yelp
Like my Dad says " if you want a great meal, start with prime meat". I have been buying my meat here for a long time. Their cuts are the best. I also like that this is a small family business run by a Husband and wife. They always have great suggestions. They are also very friendly. My favorites: 1) Flat iron steak. 2) Filets (cut to my thickness) ** don't forget to get Bernaise sauce. 3) Casino roast. 4) Range fed chicken ( no preservatives!) 5) New Zealand venison back strap. 6) Baby back ribs. 7) Italian sausage (for spaghetti)
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
When they have sales, they're worth going for! I got fresh, delicious venison tenderloin for about $6 a pound, whereas it's normally a much higher price. The selection is diverse, with everything from Buffalo tri-tip to wild boar, antelope, frog legs and even kobe beef franks. While I was there, they were having a sale on rabbit loin so I bought a big package with 3 for about $13.50. They have a large freezer full of seafood and another full of prepared foods [like a wide variety of raviolis] and frozen meats like quail and organic chicken. There are several racks of wines with clear labels differentiating the varieties and flavor profiles. There were bottles for under $10 and others that were quite a bit more but plenty to choose from. There was a small shelf or two with dried and canned foods, like snails, high quality sardines, herbs and seasonings, etc . If you join their mailing list, they'll let you know about upcoming wine tastings [some of which are free!] and sales, which is how I found out about the rabbit. I'm definitely going to be going back to try antelope, grass-fed beef, wild boar and some of that buffalo tri-tip! Yay for quality meat! :D
google avatar

Amity D.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I always go in here to get a two and a half pound beef tenderloin trimmed and tied. The proprietors are amazing and you never get a bad cut of meat. One day I will go in here and buy some wine because they have some very interesting wine. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Yelp
When I first arrived in Vegas I started the hunt for a great butcher, and I was delighted to find one on the East Side near our home. They have always been very helpful whenever I'm making something and need just the right cut of meat. I do a lot of entertaining during the convention season, and my guests often comment on the quality of the meat. They also carry a nice selection of wines not ordinarily found in most stores, and have casual wine tastings every month. This place is a little gem - I highly recommend it.
google avatar

Keith L.

Yelp
Okay folks let's talk about Village meat and wine ! I've actually been to this place quite a few times. I definitely should have wrote something about them earlier. They're easy to find off of Eastern. There's this nice couple that owns the store. Do a bang-up job. The husband who works behind the meat counter is super awesome. He definitely knows his stuff and will give you suggestions and things like that for meats you may have never heard of but would definitely like. Their wagyu meat is totally awesome. Probably the best I've had. They also have wine and side dishes as well. Also they have different Woods for smoking that you can't get in the grocery stores or even at the Home Depot's or Lowe's. If you want to smoke meat definitely stop by here and check out their wood. They also have spices and sauces kind of a One-Stop shop for your meat and needs. The service is always stellar and their meat is always on point. I would recommend this place to everyone. I'm sure they're probably the meat shop that is selling to the high-end restaurants here in town. They also have exotic meats like Buffalo, ostrich and things of that nature. If you have never tried them it's time you did and definitely get on their email list as they send out coupons and when they're having big sales. Great job Village meat and wine!!!

Mary M.

Yelp
I've been a customer since 1979! Yes, that many years!! And I can tell you the original and second owners were wonderful! The current owners make me never want to go back, mainly the husband/butcher. His condescending attitude and total lack of customer service is frustratng! His wife at least tries to be pleasant most days but, becomes down trodden and I believe it's from his negative energy. The last two times I came in and waited to see, and true to form, they never even said thank you or wished happy holidays! I've noticed if you are a customer in there with a good size order, he becomes friendlier. It's really unfortunate, as we have come in for many years, and love their products. I would love to find the same quality in beef and chicken elsewhere. Even if more expensive, I would purchase elsewhere to be greeted and serviced by someone who is polite and cares!

Yelp
I just bought a 1 inch bone in rib eye about an hour ago, cooked it medium rare, just added sea salt and pepper, and it was just amazing. It was tender, easy to cut, not tough in the slightest, and tasted just absolutely fresh. You guys have some pretty great steak.
google avatar

Gia I.

Yelp
Awesome selection of meats! We got 2lbs of their bone in ribeye, multiple cheeses and house made elk, Rabbit and Chipotle bacon sausage! The husband and wife working (owners I'm assuming) we so helpful and nice! Cant wait to return.
google avatar

Melinda J.

Yelp
I have been shopping here for years. The hubby and I love this place! This little mom and pop owned shop has been around for 35 years and they have wonderful stuff. I have had many items from this store. Items include: Turduchen (which I just cooked for Thanksgiving and the whole family loves it), prime rib, stuffed chicken breasts, boneless skinless chicken breasts, prime fillet mignon, T-Bone steak (I prefer eating fillet mignon), Kobe steak, ground beef, all beef hotdogs, even Kobe hotdogs!, prime casino roast, various sorts of deli meat and cheeses, oh how I love their cheeses! They have tons of homemade sausage. Their mild Italian is my Fav. I also love love love their meat rub. I tell everyone I know about their meat rub. Its low in salt and you can put it on anything! Meat, chicken, even popcorn! If you're looking for high quality meat and want the people you entertain to rave about your food, I recommend this place.
