Walked past and decided to try it given it has so many Michelin awards :) Super attentive service and you can see how confident and proud the waiters are when they flash the light when we take photos of the food. They had some interesting dishes and we enjoyed our experience.

I have to say the places clean and open, The tables are big and great for large party. As to the food, everything tastes average nothing stands out and nothing that want me to reorder the dish. At the end of the meal, our party was talking because we have not seen each other for a long time. I can understand that it was their time to close the restaurant. But instead of blasting the music they should just kindly tell us that they need to close and we would have left.

There were a few interesting dishes that were delicious. However at that price point, I was expecting much more. A lot of dishes were just average. I do not mind paying NTD 200 for a plate of peanuts if it was good but it turns out just average. The surprising good dishes were the sausages, prawns and vegetable

Very disappointed with the food, both taste-wise and value-wise. Not a single dish that I would want to order again. The environment is extremely loud; we would have to shout to each other in order to have a conversation and had to keep asking others to repeat what they said. The only good thing is the service. Expensive but 👎🏻

Not so much as a "private kitchen", it just felt like making a reservation at a typical Chinese restaurant. Food wasn't bad but not amazing either, especially for the steep price tag. Now here comes the comical part. The time gap between each dish was rather long, and about 5 minutes after they served the last main course (for a group of 15), a staff actually came in saying "the restaurant is now closed for the lunch break", and we asked "are you asking us to leave?". The awkward silence was rather funny, and not to mention they haven't even served the last desert yet. After that awkward moment, we heard the music changed to "Good night" (a well known old song for kicking customers out upon closing). If they really were in a hurry to close the shop for a break, wouldn't they serve faster to allow customers to have enough time to finish? For this experience along, we won't be coming back for more.

This Taiwanese spot may appear small, but don't let the compact space fool you - the portions are massive. Our group ordered a spread of classics to share family-style, including melt-in-your-mouth braised pork belly swimming in a giant portion of fragrant sauce. Everything we tried was fresh and flawlessly executed. You can tell the chefs have these Taiwanese specialties down pat. However, the enormous portions are likely too much for solo diners or couples, so come with a crowd ready to feast. We left stuffed after just a few dishes - consider yourself warned about the belt-loosening portions!

One of the must visit restaurant in Taipei. Food was supurb and filled with early military village style and flavour. The strong nostalgia feeling and pleasant atmosphere stimulate appetite to try more. Staffs were freindly and helpful. A super great and unforgettable dining experience. Will definitely visit soon.

A special place you can enjoy delicious and sophisticated local food in Taipei. If you have guests from overseas, it is sure they like the food and atmosphere. They have reasonable priced prefixed course menus. They can even customize it if you do like 臭豆腐 or intestines. Yet, I did not feel comfortable last time since they rush to serve all dishes at same time...
