I stopped in today after a long morning of work, completely drained and barely thinking straight from how hungry I was. The team here took one look at me, welcomed me warmly, and had my order in my hands in no time. The crispy chicken Caesar wrap was exactly what I needed - fresh, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot. What stood out even more was how kind and attentive the staff were. You can tell they care about their customers. It’s rare to find a place where the food and the people are both this good. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for turning my whole day around!

Waited half an hour just for our 1 small pizza to be put in the oven and multiple customers be taken care of and deliver drivers that came in and out after had already ordered and been waiting, not to mention it took a while for the employee to even stop to take our order. First time coming in and probably won't be back if the wait is this unnecessarily long. Also out of date advertisement, "Pepsi" when it's "Cocoa- Cola" products.

The price you pay for the amount and quality of food was on point. My burger and onion rings were better than Lola Burger, and my buddies meatball calzone was impressive. The guys running the place were great people. Will return.

Food was awful. Chicken was very dry and over cooked . Ordered chicken and rice never got the rice instead got fries that were overcooked other order was chicken and fries and they were over cooked

Village has been my go to takeout spot since I moved to Southie in 2018. My dad is also a long-term regular after having worked in the area for more than 15 years. Tonight, I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 20 mins. When I showed up more than 20 min later I was told it would be another 10. When I followed up 10 min later, I was told it would be at least another 10. When I let them know that I had already waited an extra 10 min, the staff was rude, had no sense of urgency, and acknowledged that they had not even started the order. When I told them that I wanted to cancel it they simply said sure and didn’t apologize or try to make things right. I understand that they recently went viral online for their froyo, but if it’s appalling that they would treat a regular with such disrespect. They could’ve also given a realistic timeline. Will be taking my business elsewhere until I receive an apology.

They need to figure out a system for the frozen yogurt. We waited over an hour for froyo and when it was finally called, another girl took it. They were too busy to even hear my compliant or respond to my refund request. I paid for froyo and ended up just leaving an hour later.

This place serves awesome pasta. Just had the jumbo ravioli with mozzarella along with a side of garlic bread. Prices are VFM. Their pizzas sell hot. Would definitely recommend.

Disappointing Experience at Village Pizza and Grill I was looking forward to trying their fried chicken for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience was a letdown from start to finish. I placed an order at the restaurant, but it took a HOUR to be done, and even then, they came cold.

My wrap had a screw nut in it! The first half was good but the second half came with construction material.

Got a buffalo chicken pizza and is definitely one of the best ones I ever had! Recommended if you're in the south Boston area !!!

Reviewing this place again because they deserve more recognition by the people in southie! Super reasonable prices and amazing food. This steak bomb sub was great and I will definitely get this again. Everything I've gotten here has been great and comes with tons of food!

The absolute worst steak and cheese that I have ever had. You can tell from the pic that it is as dry as the Sahara. Its also supposed to have extra cheese, which isnt even visible.

The meatball sandwich in this place tastes and looks like something out of a can. The sauce had a hint of tomato ketchup. Just awful! The decor in and condition of the place is circa 1975. The people are nice but not worthy of ever coming back!

I love this place. Ordering and picking up the food is always quick and easy. You can't beat the prices & the food options are plentiful. I always get the Salmon Dinner Plate ($15) and the portion size always get me 2 full meals. It's my go to place for takeout!

Meh.... Pizza: Staying at the Homewood Suites. We were so hungry and very disappointed. Way too much sauce. Sauce way too sweet. Scarce toppings. Paid for extra cheese, no extra anything. literally TWO pieces of ground beef on it but LOADS of onions. Just not well made. Tasted and looked "thrown together". Also forgot the ranch dressing we paid for. Delivery: Very late and guy left our pizza in the very crowded lobby and left me a text letting me know after we specified that it be delivered to our room. If I could remove the tip...I would.

Made a Yelp account just to share this. Wish I could give 0 stars. I called and asked to order for pick up. The employee said okay. It was difficult to hear and there was a lot of background noise. I asked if he was ready for my order and it took multiple times for him to respond "yes." I started ordering my food and he was only able to repeat "buffalo chicken wrap". He kept saying things I could not understand so I patiently asked "can you hear me okay?" He did not respond. Finally when he said yes I continued ordering more food. I said the words "house salad" 4 times and was trying to ask for dressing but he was talking over me. I stopped, politely said "I am not sure if you can hear me or not- are you there?" I asked NUMEROUS TIMES, slowly/clearly, can you repeat my order? And can you hear me? It was very stressful and I never once got confirmation. I didn't even finish the order and I said "NEVER MIND." And hung up. About 2 hours later I received 2 phone calls and this texting exchange. So unprofessional and truly an invasion of privacy. I did not leave my name OR number OR confirm my order. In fact, I said NEVER MIND. They absolutely should NOT be texting me.

Super reasonable - big portions. Food is tasty, and the guy who works the register up front is always gracious and welcoming. For pizza and subs in Southie, this is my spot.

This establishment is awesome. Pizza was fantastic, Salmon salad was so excellent my wife had it delivered two nights in a row. Both nights the delivery came early and the drivers were super friendly. Highly recommend if you're staying in a hotel in Boston.

Best fish & chips Southie, maybe even all of Boston. The combo pasta dish was one big hot mess by the time it arrived but it was very tasty.

Solid overall. Ordered through Yelp app and asked for no jalapeños but got them, not too worried about it though. Pizza is decent, little flop, crispy, little thicker than I like, 6.7/10. Wings are decent Buffalo sauce is a little tangy. $25 for the whole thing, not bad.

I'm going to keep this short and simple. I order from Village at least once a week (I'm obsessed with pizza...sue me). I don't usually comment on Yelp, but I have to on this one. Food is amazing. This is the best delivery pizza I've had in Boston (and I've lived here for more than a decade). I've had almost everything on their huge menu and have never been disappointed. To the person who commented on the long wait for delivery on Super Bowl Sunday: You do realize that everyone and their mother orders pizza and wings for the Super Bowl, right? Some people have unrealistic expectations... you're not dining at the Four Seasons. Also, this place is super clean, has been around since the 80's (so they must be doing something right), and they've fulfilled HUGE orders for me with very short notice (I'm an Event Planner and have ordered from their catering menu + 25 pizzas on the same day). For those who have had a poor experience, I urge you to give it another try. The food is delicious and if you order something and it isn't right, call them and they will fix it. Too many people complain without taking any action. #triggered #itsjustpizza EDIT: I just placed an order for a pepperoni pizza and jalapeño poppers - will follow up with photos since the photos on here don't do the place justice. SECOND EDIT: Food took like and hour and 5 minutes. Fine with me since that's their projected time (on all of the apps). Food is hot and great. Jalapeño Poppers used to be cream cheese and now they are cheddar (which I don't like), so that kind of sucks, but I'm not going to remove a star, because I'm not petty. Also, the delivery drivers are always so friendly!

This was the most disappointing "meal" i have paid for in my life. It is Super Bowl Sunday, and we were just chillin on the couch scheming what to nibble on. We had a few simple requests in mind; chicken wings and pizza. Simple. Hard to mess up. The basics of the American diet that all breathing humans are capable of making. We figured this place had the capacity to fulfill our order with ease. We tried calling the restaurant and the phone was off the hook. After an hour and 30 minutes of waiting, we finally received the "food." What we ordered: pizza with no cheese, chicken wings, fries and a side salad. What we got: half chicken wings & chicken fingers with hot sauce, a pizza with about 5 pounds of cheese that was literally WHITE, a few pieces of iceberg lettuce hidden under a bed of curly fries. My lactose intolerant self almost had an episode just by opening the box of pizza. I am not mad, I'm just disappointed :/ .

Fresh food. Made to order. Simple tables. Order at the counter. Fair prices. Consistently good. The feisty and caring staff tirelessly and quickly put together a wide variety of options appreciated equally by the gentrified neighborhoods white AND blue collar workers. I particularly enjoyed the grilled chicken Caesar salad, the Greek grilled chicken wrap, and the giant fresh pizza slices. This is not a fine dining establishment. Go here, get a wrap, grab a drink from the cooler and enjoy watching the mix of customers. You'll be happy.

Great job on the Buffalo Chicken wrap. These are the exact ratios you are looking for in a cross section.

Ok so I've been going to this place my whole life but yea they've gone down hill fast and hard. I'm writing this review basically to share my conspiracy theory that the owner is a chicken who has fallen on hard times and has started selling parts of his body to keep the business afloat. Just look at my sandwich and tell me I'm wrong. Took poor mr chicken took a whole hour to cook this masterpiece for me. Two stars because I'll go back again just to make fun of them with my friends for being awful.

This business upcharged their large pizza to $35 for a large pizza when they are busy. If that doesn't tell you their business practices then I don't know what to tell you, very unprofessional would not recommend.

Moved to neighborhood in November and this has become our pizza place! I think it's the best pizza in South Boston. It gets crowded of course it it's worth the wait. The sandwiches are meh but the pizza (and service) never disappoints.

Food is good but the last 3 times ordering from them I ordered a 2 liter of soda and never received it. I call and they tell me they will send it but never do. Not much money but it's the principle

One of the best spot to grab food in Southie. Great location, food is amazing and my order is always ready pretty quick after calling in if you are looking to grab something quick for lunch or dinner. I live pretty close so i usually end up going for lunch a couple times a week, would highly recommend the subs (Italian is my go to), the buffalo chicken wrap, and the slices are great too. Overall 10/10

Just received a delivery order from this restaurant and there was a dead bug smushed into the salad dressing in the bag with my food. Placed thru Grubhub- they called to request refund approval and restaurant refused. Restaurant also refused to follow up with me. Very disappointed in this service. I think it goes without saying, receiving a bug in your food is undoubtedly a reason for refund.

The only reason I get any food from here is because they have the white sauce similar to the Fish Piers'. The last two times I've ordered I've been completely disappointed. The first time I received no sauce or salad just chicken and french fries and just now receieved chicken and... Honey mustard... It says on the description chicken with white sauce why would I want honey mustard instead of white sauce??? Who made that decsion for me? Not what I ordered. It might seem trivial but it ruins the whole meal. Get it together village pizza or at least change the menu.

the best calzones ever!!! They are not cheap with ingredients at all, tons of cheese and good quality. Salads are always fresh and good portions. Prices are good, you pay less for the amount of food you get. One of the best places in southie.

My friend ordered a tuna sandwich over the phone and picked it up in person. Tuna sandwich was mad salty. $7wasted.

Pizza is decent but delivery is super slow, the phone is constantly off the hook which makes them unreachable. When we finally get in contact with them, they tell us it will be there in 5 min. We've been hung up on several times and half an hour later we still don't have our order. I really wanted this restaurant to be our go to spot for lazy nights but after having such bad experiences repeatedly, we will no longer be ordering from this establishment. TL DR: Don't order delivery from unless you are willing to wait 2 hours for a cold pizza.

This place has pretty mediocre to rough reviews but I don't really get it! Their pizza is one of the best I've found in the Boston area and it's always great. They skimp a little bit for sure if you add stuff to your pizza so that can be a little disappointing but honestly it's good enough that it doesn't even matter. Delivery has always been pretty much on time too - at least never more than 15 min or so more than expected!

Trying the Steak Tips Bomb. I travel quite a bit and have not seen this before. Tender steak tips marinated in olive oil and herbs (I taste Oregano for sure), bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, provolone on a great roll. I dig it!

I order take out from here probably three times a month, food is always excellent and the staff is super fast and efficient, pretty nice guys too I order the buffalo chicken wrap , chicken BLT panini, salads, seafood, and occasionally grab a slice... food is always fresh and tastes good Slices of pizza are huge !

This place is a disgrace. I walked in to get a couple slices at 845 and here is how the interaction went: Me: do you guys have any slices Village: no(looked away and didn't continue convo) Me: well how long will it take for some slices Village: a while( at the time stuffing a pizza in the oven) He then walked away. So what can we conclude? The place was closing at at 930. Obviously he didn't want to cook another pizza. I would have purchased a whole pizza if that was what it took. But being the dickhead that he was, I didn't even have the option. What kind of customer service is that? Why would you make a patron feel that uncomfortable? There are so many other options in the area, so there is no need to even think about going to this place. As a small business owner myself, you learn that every customer counts. It's so disheartening to see a company treat a potential customer like that. Don't go to this place, there are plenty of pizza places within walking distance.

Best place I'm Southie in my opinion. I been going there my whole life and just stopped in for the first time in years and Ricco welcomed me back and recommended the bets meal I've ate in a long time. The white sauce that comes with the chicken dinner is amazing and I was reminiscing about it with friends, so I had to stop by and kill my cravings. I would recommend it to anybody that likes good food and great service in a great neighborhood.

I recommend the steak and chicken dinner plate. It's a large portion for the cost $14.95 and great quality

Love love love me some Village Pizza! These guys are so nice, and make fantastic food. Pizza is legit with tasty crust and tons of cheese. My favorite lunch time selection is the steak tip Caesar wrap....ohmygosh it is like manna from heaven. Seriously, they make an amazing salad dressing and the steak is always perfectly cooked. I live close by and the delivery is always prompt and my food is always hot. Did I mention how nice these guys are? Now, go give them your business! You won't be disappointed.

Why the hell did you allow us to order online when your shop is clearly closed? We are all starving in this office. I am about to faint, and none of my coworkers are able to work due the noise of everyone's stomach grumbling. We tried calling and faxing. No answer. Yet you sent us an email confirmation that you received our order. How ruuuuudde?! You guys suck. Also, we ordered at this place earlier this week and your Turkey Chili is disgusting. Nasty marinara sauce with turkey. There was no spice and hardly any beans. You guys suck!

Tried Village for the first time deviating from my usual spots. Looks like it's also the last time.

Disrespectful staff. Owner yells at you and has napoleon syndrome trying to make up for his short stature. Asked for a simple chicken finger sub, got cutlets. I politely asked if I can get fingers instead and was told I'm a dumb skinny blond who is used to getting free shit. I paid for the food so how exactly Was I trying to get free shit ??? Hope this place goes out of business

Guy behind the counter was alright. not the friendliest nor rude. Importantly they accept credit card, a lot of mom and pop shops is southie dont take cards so that is a big plus for me. Most importantly though, their pizza was great! I will come be back

Hands down the BEST pizza in Boston. We ended up eating here three times because we just could not get enough. If you go to Boston and you don't go here, you're doing Boston all wrong. (Just a simple yelpers opinion!)

Don't even bother. After waiting an hour (told it would be delivered in 30 min), called and they said "oh yeah, the guy just left". The "guy" arrives with the wrong order and about ten inappropriate comments ("here you go gorgeous" etc). No apologies. And the pizza sucked.

I have never written a review but this was a terrible experience and such a rude manager! This place usual has ok food but their delivery and service suck. I order a pizza and after a hour of waiting I received my delivery only to discover it was wrong. When I called to get a refund the manager argued with me and told me I must have ordered it wrong. After having him look up my ticket he was proven wrong but still would not correct the mistake. That is unless I wanted to wait another hour for my dinner AND he wanted to send a driver to pick up the wrong pizza I was sent. ** Eww, are they reselling that to customers after it has been delivered to me? That is so gross to think about. I would not recommend this place they have terrible customer service and are possible unsanitary!

Whenever I am in Southie stopping at Village is a MUST!! They have the BEST steak & cheese in the area. Their pizza and calzones are amazing as well. I'm never disappointed and the service is quick, easy and the staff is super friendly. Great place!

Terrible... ordered delivery and it arrived 1.5 hrs later, estimated time was 45 mins. Not so bad, but then the pizza was cold and soggy! So soggy that pieces of the pizza broke off whenever i picked up a slice... Not sure about anyone else, but the worst thing pizza can be for me is soggy... Then i called the restaurant and the staff/maybe manager was so rude and offered terrible customer service. He blamed the delivery people (grubhub) and told me to take it up with them. He kept talking over me, very defensive, hardly listened to anything i was trying to say. Bad pizza actually does exist...
