Family-owned since the early 1990s, this Market District fixture bakes New York–style pies in brick ovens and turns out hearty pasta classics. Listed by Visit Tallahassee, it’s a neighborhood standby for garlic rolls, Sicilian slices, and casual dinners.

I usually order the chicken parm grinder but it was game over for me when I saw they did Sicilian style pizza. There was a place in my hometown that did the same thing and Village met that expectation and satisfied my soul! Could the playing have been better? Sure but the flavor beats that out 100 to 1. Absolute win

Google
Delicious Stromboli, pizza, gnocchi, garlic rolls and fried raviolis. We will definitely be back to try the Sicilian pizza. We came at dinner time on a Saturday, we got right in and service was great, food came out quick.

I do a lot of reviews for Google and here's my review of Village Pizza and this is our first time here we sat down and the sever came over after 3 minutes after we sat down which was nice and she was a very nice server I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs two problems with it the Meatballs are way too soft and not packed tight when made with very little flavor. They need a lot of help now comes the spaghetti sauce that definitely was not homemade I grew up in New York it's what they call canned spaghetti sauce you don't have to do nothing but heat it up and serve and really it's not that great for that price they're charging you I'd rather have homemade sauce and it was kind of pricey for the spaghetti and meatballs almost $25 way overpriced my wife ordered that Chicken special dinner she said it was okay nothing to go home write about and that was a little over price now the restaurant look pretty clean the bathrooms are OK and it's up to you if you want to eat here? All lam going to giving you it l and my wife will not be going back there it didn't meet my specifications for quality food And being very over price look at the menu price and then look at your receipt it's not the same as the menu so beware on that too please

Google
They should really be ashamed at how much they charge for this. The only thing that had any flavor was the chicken from the fettuccine, and that was mild. How dare any of this be over $10. They charge around $20 for each of these "entrees" but the portion size is ridiculous and the flavor is incredibly disappointing. Even the rolls lacked flavor. The young lady at the front was nice but I don't think I'll be back.

Decided to give this place a try & boy was i in for a treat! The customer service was exceptional!! The food was great, & the best part is that they have beef pepperoni! This place is halal & the only thing they serve that's pork is salami. The people was exceptionally friendly. It was truly a great experience😊

Google
I really enjoyed the delicious extra cheese and the light fresh tasting pizza sauce. The pepperonis were also very good. I give it an 8/10 on my perfect pizza scale. That’s a very high score on my scale.

Google
We got the Florentine pizza and let me say, this is the BEST pizza I’ve had in Tallahassee!! Great sauce, great cheese, great dough, and fresh toppings. Incredible fried cheese ravioli as well!

Google
I’ve been coming to this place for a long time and have always loved the food—this used to be my go-to spot. But after tonight, I won’t be coming back. I ordered a pizza and specifically requested the mushrooms be put on the side due to an allergy. When the pizza came out wrong, I politely asked for it to be remade. Instead of handling it professionally, the employee was incredibly rude—talking over me, insisting I was wrong, and even told me to come behind the counter to “see how he rang it in.” That alone crossed a line. I work in the restaurant industry myself, and if there’s one thing that matters above all, it’s customer service. Mistakes happen—owning up to them and making it right is what sets a good place apart. Instead, I was met with defensiveness, zero accountability, and absolutely no concern for the fact that this was a food allergy issue. I’m disappointed to say I won’t be returning. It’s a shame, because the food has always been great—but the way customers are treated matters more.

Yelp
Looking for a good slice of pizza drop into Village Pizza and pasta and get their pizza. Great flavor flavors great sauce and the crust was done perfectly. Go get some pizza

Yelp
We had pizza delivered in under an hour. A large sicilian square with sausage and mushrooms (huge) and a small cheese pizza. Very good but seemed pricey.

Alicia P.

Yelp
I ordered 2 meals: cheese ravioli with pink sauce, sausage and spinach calzone. The ravioli was ok with the pink sauce. The garlic rolls were hard as rocks - so not enjoyable or good. How can a restaurant serve stale food??? I'm trying the calzone tomorrow. Tried the calzone - sausage isn't Italian sausage but plain ole southern sausage. Not what I expected. Not tasty. Greatly disappointed. Won't order again.

Yelp
We loved their food and the garlic knots. Everything is delicious. Staff very friendly too. We are from out of town and been to the restaurant three tines. Cannot wait to return - salivating right now.

Yelp
Was good. I liked it better than momos. Very greasy. The girl did good serving me. Didn't skimp on drinks. Nice looking restaurant. Jalapenos are very spicy. Decent ingredients. Reminds me of mall pizza. It was tasty. Probably my favorite pizza place while visiting this city

Susan H.

Yelp
The pizza was perfect, our favorite in Tallahassee. We have Friday night pizza/burger dates and we have tried quite a few places. The service is great. The college students are so personable. The ambiance is that of a college town pizza joint. It always has both professionals and student visitors. If you're use to quality ingredients on pizza this is the place for you.

Yelp
Our carryoit was excellent, although Grub Hub didn't function online. We had to call to make sure our order was received.

Yelp
Times have changed at Village Pizza, for the better. There is nothing you can do to improve on this pie. At least not the one I always order. I get a large with extra cheese, pepperoni, and ricotta. It rivals my fav place in NYC, Patsy's. It just perfection in a pie. I'm ashamed to admit how often I order it. I do feel like it is a bit pricey (For delivery). However, I'd sell my organs for this pizza. Again, you have to the get the exact one I order. It's a game changer.

Yelp
Came here on a whim because our toddler requested pizza for dinner. We ended up getting a large cheese pizza for $20. The slices were big [think: Sbarro]. My toddler demolished a slice in a half in no time. I was moderately amazed. The pizza was quite tasty. We did not dine in, but it's quaint inside. The person who took our order was gracious, patient and helpful as it was our first time trying this spot.

Mark P.

Yelp
The pizza was good. but it's very expensive for a pizza place with bright lights and plastic tables. My bill was $110 for a party of 4, we ordered 2 medium pizzas with a few regular beers, 6 total. using normal pricing that adds up to $65-70

Shadow L.

Yelp
The waitress was delightful, the pizza was so-so, and THIRTY DOLLARS for pizza and coke! Why NON-CASH ADJUSTMENT?? Who the f---pays with cash anymore? Post a sign rather than spring your 'fees' on unsuspecting people. You need money? So does everyone, but get it honestly.

Yelp
We recently dined here a second time, and it is a dependable pizza place with good service, reasonably priced, always clean and welcoming. It's one of our go-to spots when visiting Tally.

Yelp
I have not been here in years. This great little family Italian place is where to come for outstanding customer service and yummy food. I brought my son here for a taste of pizza heaven. When we arrived, the friendly staff quickly greeted and seated us at a table by the window. Almost as soon as we were seated, our nice waiter appeared. We ordered garlic knots and a large meat pizza. The garlic knots came out piping out. The bottoms were crunchy while the inside was soft and fluffy. A short time later, the super hot meat pizza arrived at our table. They offered all the regular topping of oregano, red pepper, garlic, and sprinkle cheese. Of course, we tried the pizza without which tasted great. Then, we went to town adding all of our favorite extras on top. The pizza had a nice crunch and flavor. Based on service and food, I will be back to enjoy a different item. The waiter was all about the pink sauce.

Amy V.

Yelp
We popped in for a quick lunch, oir waiter was excellent! I believe his name was Azid, sorry if I spelled it incorrectly. Pizza was NY style, thin with sweet sauce...DELISH! Greek salad was fresh, cold, and crisp! I will def be coming back for more choices.

Yelp
Ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti w/Meat sauce. Both were good. Garlic rolls were good as well. Place was very busy for a Sunday so that's always a good sign. Peanut Butter Pie dessert was good as well. Would eat here again.

Mary B.

Yelp
Quick, friendly and the food was amazing. Came in from out of town and saw this place was packed on a Tuesday night, so I figured it must be food. I was right. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
Debit cards and prepaid Cash cards may NOT be surcharged as CREDIT cards sometimes are. Also, the charge cannot exceed actual cost of processing. 4/%seems steep. Otherwise, food was pretty good.

Yelp
This used to be my go to pizza shop when o came to the area but after 3 straight bad experiences it's time to move on. Although it's in a great location in a shared plaza with ample parking, dining inside or outside and a casual throwback pizza shop atmosphere the issues with turnover leads to many different servers and more than likely cooks as well. We ordered garlic knots and an XL cheese pizza. Easy enough to prepare those two items but our waitress Fiorella must have gotten lost because drink refills were hard to come by and it took 20 minutes just to get the check. Pizza was just a touch above like warm when it arrived and the garlic knots were stale. You will pay for a side of marinara sauce and soft drinks are pricey enough that if you only get 1 refill is not worth the money. It was a good run but let's see what other pizza spots we can find in tally.

Yelp
Fantastic pizza! Every time I travel for work to Tallahassee I eat here multiple times! Great people Working there and the food has alway been on point!

Yelp
The boyfriend picks up takeout from here all of the time, so much so that I decided to place an order of my own recently. Takeout orders are very simple to place via phone OR online! I placed my order through Yelp which partners with Grubhub for easy, no-fee takeout ordering. Anyway, for food - boyfriend is obsessed with their Chicken Piccata (easy to please - right?!), and I really love their Chicken Diablo - although sometimes they put the fire in that dish, making it a bit too spicy for my palate. Their garlic rolls are also VERY easy to fill up on if you're not careful. ;) The Stuffed Shells are also another bomb entree choice, and if you ask for the shells to be served in Bolognese (meat) sauce rather than plain marinara sauce, they will definitely accommodate the request. All pasta and house specialty entrees are served with homemade garlic rolls and a soup or salad (yes, even for takeout orders!). I have only eaten Village Pizza & Pasta via takeout, since I only discovered them during quarantine. Anyways, quarantine or not, I will definitely be back to Village Pizza and hopefully one day soon it will be to dine-in for the full Village Pizza & Pasta experience!

Yelp
This is a cozy, yummy restaurant. The service is very friendly and good, the food is comforting and delicious, there's outdoor seating, and may be best of all are the garlic rolls, which are, I think, the best in town.

Yelp
Very great restaurant. bread pizza salad pasta All very good and service is very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a family establishment.

Mason S.

Yelp
Just ate at Village Pizza & Pasta for the first time, and I had a wonderful time. It was mostly due to the service by the waitress Grace, she was on the ball. Trust me, just go there and ask for Grace and you'll have a great evening. As an 84 year old disabled woman with no living friends or family, she really just warmed my heart when she sat down for a little and kept me company during my meal.

Yelp
This place deserves a lot more love! I've been here twice now, and both times the service has been fantastic. The servers are very attentive, and absolutely everything (drinks, bread, salad, and entrees) arrives very promptly. I've noticed that it has not been crowded on either visit, and I am sure a large part of that is due to their super efficient service. While the service is some of the best, the food is also delicious. My husband and I have both enjoyed the entrees we've gotten, and we love the bread as well. This will definitely be our go-to for Italian in Tallahassee.

Yelp
Great takeout! The pizza was phenomenal. Crispy crust, really good sauce, not greasy. Perfect portion of fries. The garlic rolls were amazing!!!! Couldn't even share them they were fluffy, flakey, topped with seasonings. 1/2 dozen was all I needed. Quick pick up service and really good prices!

Yelp
If you want a good Italian experience with good Italian food this is your place. The staff constantly attending to the table and keeping our drinks full. The woods was amazing I got the spaghetti and a cheese pizza with tomatoes and basil. It was a wonderful experience. The only downside is the inside is sub par. The atmosphere isn't the best but the food takes your mind off of it really fast.
google avatar

Yelp
I love this family owned place. The garlic knots are a must try. The Gyro Plater is one of the best in town with fresh salad and a nice pita accompanying the authentic gyro meat. Lasagna- I love it. My favorite dish is the Chicken Diablo. It is spicy with red peppers and just very satisfying. The service it tops! Try this place.
google avatar

Yelp
I guess the place isn't much to look at but the food was decent. Food: So the food here is decent. Not the best but not bad either. The pizza was my favorite so if you're going there for that I think you'd be happy. The pasta was also good but needed a pinch of salt. All in all pretty good. Service/decor: The service was really good here. Fast and attentive with a smile so 5 stars there. The decor was definitely lacking but I appreciate locally owned restaurants that don't have a huge budget for remodeling so to me it's not a factor.

Yelp
We tried Village for the first time today and it was good! We weren't wowed by the experience but the place is cute, the food was good and our server was nice and helpful as well. After visiting the sister restaurant (Milano) previously, I already knew what to expect with the food. We got the Bianca pizza, chicken Alfredo, pasta fagioli soup and of course the garlic knots. Everything was yummy!
google avatar

Bret I.

Yelp
After a recent menu update they no longer sell veal parmigiana. I'm actually baffled by this as they sell a number of other veal dishes and other parmigiana dishes. So they have veal and they have cheese but they won't sell the veal with cheese. I find that very disappointing. But the pizza is still pretty good.

Blaine P.

Yelp
The wait time was minimal .We had a Baby pizza with the broccoli and garlic. The waiters name was Omar . Service was first class easy , The pizza product crust and all, were very good. Thank you so much Omar . PS Omar stated that pizza & Pasta were supporting the local Salvation Army effort of raising Christmas funds for disadvantaged families .

Yelp
Had the lunch special on Sunday. Good price for the dish. Service was friendly and very fast.

Yelp
We had a lovely lunch outside during the holidays. We enjoyed the greek salad and gyro. The dressing was delicious and the gyro meat was very tasty. We will be back. Don't forget to try the cheesy bread!
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place. Always friendly and never a wait. Delicious made from scratch food. They will bring the kids a piece of dough to play with while you wait for food. I recommend the Chicken Marsala or the Chicken Parmesan. Never had anything that didn't taste great!
google avatar

Madelyn D.

Yelp
I absolutely loved the food here and the service is great!! They have a great variety of stuff on their menu, and their Caesar salad is great!
google avatar

Yelp
If your looking for authentic Italian food save your money and avoid this place. Unless you have no idea what authentic Italian food is suppose to taste like. I ordered take out at this place and although service was fast and friendly, the food was less the mediocre. I ordered chicken Alfredo and shrimp scampi. Both sauces were extremely watery and lacked zero flavor. The pasta in both dishes were cooked to mush not al dente like you would expect from an Italian restaurant. The garlic knots are decent but nothing to rave about, save yourself the trouble and look for a REAL authentic Italian restaurant to spend your money on.
google avatar

Rainier V.

Yelp
Ordered a take out, service was fast, the staff is friendly. Not satisfied with the food I ordered. Spaghetti marinara was recommended in yelp, but it didn't live up to the hype. Pasta is overly cooked, sauce was bland, tasted like fresh from the can, the garlic bread was old. Didn't try the Caesar salad, because after eating the spaghetti and the bread, I was done. I really want to support family owned business, specially when a co worker recommended the place, but I just didn't enjoy the food, sorry guys.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
Ordered delivery. Multiple times! The pizza was not too impressive, however the pasta was a total treat. I love the mushroom ravioli. Delicious! It comes with a bunch of garlic bread in case that's your thing. I ended up tossing it because it was a few too many carbs for me. The spinach artichoke dip was like a solid block of cheese. Basically my dreams come true. Have your own tortilla chips on hand because it's super heavy with the bread. Will be a repeat customer again!

Kayla K.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! The food! The service! The vibe!! You will not be disappointed! Chicken Diablo is phenomenal. One of the best restaurants in Tallahassee
google avatar

Carla R.

Yelp
First timers and it was pretty good! We really enjoyed the Soprank pizza and gyro platter. The calamari app was very good as well. Service was above average with refills in abundance. The marinara sauce was very tasty and a pleasant surprise compared to other places nearby. We may make this our Sunday lunch place. Only complaint. The kuds chjcken fingers were a bit salty but their fries were tasty.
google avatar

Mardi S.

Yelp
I've eaten inside before and their pizza and salad were awesome. Yesterday, I got delivery. I asked them to leave the meatball sandwich deconstructed. It was great. Baked half of everything in the oven and put it together so it wasn't compromised by delivery. So yummy. Also got their fried cheese ravioli and it was awesome too.

Yelp
Good dining option if you are looking for a hole in the wall local place. Went to dinner on a Thursday night. They were not very busy and we were seated right away. Another couple was seated after us and their server took their drinks orders and had their thrist quenched before our waiter came over and greeted us. This was annoying seeing another party being taken care of who came in after. After we tracked our waiter down and ordered drinks, he came right back to take our order. He gladly substituted the linguine for ziti with the chicken parmesan. Also ordered the gnocchi with pink sauce. The Cesar salad that they brought us was good, adequately dressed and enough croutons but the were pieces of badly wilted lettuce in the salad with very brown edges. Dont know how those left the kitchen. The chicken parmesan was very good, sauce was delicious and it was perfectly cheesy. The pink sauce on the gnocchi was very good but the gnocchi itself was kind of gummy. Not as pillowy as I would like but I've had worse. Next time i go back i would just order the chicken parmesan. It's worth going back for.

Yelp
Great food and great prices in an unfussy atmosphere. Quality, flavorful Italian food. I tried the stuffed shells, chicken piccata, and tiramisu. I recommend all 3!

Yelp
I'm not giving this four stars for some incredible food, but for the nostalgia that a small place like this brings me. The homey feel reminds me of places my parents would take me back home when I was a kid. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is attentive. My friend who I went with is a regular here and loves the place and people. Now this should be stated: I'll do anything for mushroom ravioli. I love it, but I'm no expert. I couldn't tell you if this was frozen and from a box, and I don't wanna drop accusations, but that would be my guess. It was the special of the night and the first thing I saw, so I ordered it. It was delicious to me. My friend got gnocchi with pink sauce which I gave a try. Gnocchi: great. Sauce: tasted straight from a can to me. So the food isn't too special (but I should mention the complimentary garlic rolls which were not the best-- but delightful nonetheless) but it's a pleasant little place.

Jack G.

Yelp
I'm here to complain. Complain about how they are able to make their pizza so damn GOOD! I had a medium pepperoni pizza, and oh my gosh it was fantastic. I love chewy crusts, and this didn't disappoint in the slightest. Even when it gets a bit wet from the condensation or grease, it still is pretty good.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
I like this little spot. It's simple, easy, and tasty. No frills, no pretentiousness, no outrageous menu or prices. And, if you happen to have the owner's nephew serve you, he is a delight. Ask him where he's from and how he got to Tally. We've enjoyed talking to him the last two times we've been here. House dressing is good, kids love the bread, and the pizza is tasty. This time I ordered the chicken Florentine, and I don't recommend it. The sauce feels too manufactured. Hubby liked the spaghetti marinara (slightly sweet taste) and daughter loved her aloha pizza! It's not our favorite Italian joint in Tally, but is definitely good enough.
google avatar

Martin C.

Yelp
I have grown up coming to Village Pizza and it has been consistently good. The restaurant provides everything you need--good service, good food, nice ambiance. The gnocchi special with pink sauce is always my go to.

Chris V.

Yelp
Village Pizza & Pasta is our local neighborhood go-to for the best NY style pizza this side of Manhattan. If you're craving true NY style pizza I cannot overstate how close they come to my beloved Yonkers New York/Brooklyn style pizza. It's thin crust with just the right balance of cheese and sauce. If you want thicker they have a great Sicilian style as well. Now onto the rest of the menu. As much as I love their pizza (did I mention that yet : ) half the time I get their Eggplant Parmesan. My wife loves their chicken Parm and gnocchi ala vodka is one of a kind. The kids ravioli is perfect for our daughter but my only complaint is she eats it all! This place is our go-to for Macaroni Mondays. Village's pasta is always fast, fresh, hot and consistently excellent for a fraction of the cost of other mediocre establishments. Their service is excellent- their Grouper Picatta is to die for. Garlic rolls and pasta fagioli soup always on point with cannoli to finish it off.

Yelp
We've come here before for the Greek and Italian food. I usually get the Gyro, which is very good. I get extra tsiziki(?) sauce because I like it messy. My wife really likes the Chicken Diabolo.
