Google
Definitely recommend this if you have quality shoes or boots in need of repair. Service times can be a little high, but as a quality artisan in a world that loves fast fashion there just aren't enough people with the skill this shop has. On the off chance you work in kitchens ask about kitchen non slips. The ones he used on my Red Wings are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend them.

After visiting multiple shoe repair stores in Decatur and being told they couldn't resole my Lucchese boots, I took them to Village Shoe Repair, and I couldn't be more impressed with the craftsmanship and service. The attention to detail and quality of work were outstanding—my boots came back looking better than ever. It's clear that they take pride in their work, using top-notch materials and skill to restore and repair your favorite pair of boots/shoes. The customer service was friendly and excellent. If you're looking for expert boot / shoe repair, Village Shoe Repair is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Google
I went in just to check the place out. I asked about a million questions and Larry was very friendly and really, seriously seems to like what he does. Specifically, I was impressed by the products he used for shoe care when polishing his customer's shoes. I spend way too much time on the internet and was shocked that he used the best (most expensive) products for a $20 shine. I'm tire of buying shoes that I have to throw away after a few years and plan on only buying what I can take to Village Shoe Service to be repaired. Look - things are expensive. The prices he has clearly listed seem in line with what else I've seen and I know overhead, machine costs, material costs and labor all add up. When I take these things in to account, I don't know how he does a $20 shine. If I wanted to do it at home it would cost a $100 just to get the products he uses to say nothing about the time it takes to actually use said products. Update: Google really wants me to update this for some reason. 5 Stars. It is still a 5 star shop in my humble opinion.

Google
Stellar work and customer service. I wish I had a pic of what the boots looked like before so you could see the amazing level of craftsmanship that went into this sole and heel reconstruction. Top level artistry here, money well spent.

Google
Brought in a pair of leather boots with a hole in the sole. The man behind the counter said he couldn’t repair them. He would not tell me why, no elaboration whatsoever. I asked him some more questions about my options or if he could recommended anyone and the man just kind of stared at me with a blank expression on his face. He was of no help at all.

Google
Larry is exceptionally good at what he does. I recently got my Birkenstocks resole at a different shoe repair store but i was not too please with it. The sole was so stiff that the sandals couldn't flex thus, making it very uncomfortable to wear. Luckily Larry was able to fix that. Larry install a heavy duty vibram outsole attach to a very comfortable midsole. When i received the Birkenstocks back, they were so comfortable that it felted like i was walking on cloud. I would highly recommend everyone to come to Larry for any shoe repair service. He was very kind, informative and his work was very superb. Not to mention the price was also affordable. I will definitely return to have my other boots fixs.

Google
I am absolutely ecstatic about the work Village Shoe Repair did on my favorite pair of cowboy boots. My poor boots had been worn out, lost a heel, been chewed on by my dog, and were basically unwearable. These guys restored them and now my boots look great and still feel like old friends. I highly recommend these guys! They charged a reasonable price and had my boots ready when promised.

Google
RL Boots look brand new. Incredible customer service. A shoe spa! Hidden Neighborhood Jewel.

Yelp
On 4/29/25, was my first time at Village Shoe & Boot Service. Larry and staff were wonderful. My shoe looked brand new. I'm now a customer for life! I highly recommend Village Shoe & Boot Service to anyone who has shoes/boots that requires repairing. Thank you, Sandra

Yelp
Larry is great at what he does! I brought 4 pair of shoes for repair and/or polishing, and they were ready as promised. More importantly, they are beautiful! I'm specifically impressed with my boots and my Cole Haan oxfords. They look as great as they did when I got them, and I will absolutely be bringing more shoes here. Some reviews have expressed varying levels of frustration. While I can't speak for anyone else's experience, I can offer a few tidbits to manage your expectations: -Bring your shoes in the off-season. My shoes took about 3 weeks from the time I dropped them off. This did include polishing, new heels, and custom insoles. You'll likely be less irritated if you don't need the repairs in a hurry, especially because to my knowledge this is a solo act. -Larry was very nice and professional, but not over-the-top. Some might read this as rudeness. To me, it comes off more as straight to the point. You'll be greeted, asked what you'd like done, given recommendations, and a timeline. Pretty no frills. Also important to note is that I didn't feel pressured into services I didn't need. - Services aren't cheap, but I found the cost to be well worth the investment for what I paid full price for my shoes.

Yelp
Nice guy, helpful, and honest. Shoe repair isn't cheap and sometimes shoe repair isn't possible. I brought him some Birkenstock's and while they could be repaired, it wasn't worth the cost so I left. Came back with a pair of boots that needed new soles, done. It is not cheap but it is cheaper than a new pair. The guy told me what he could do, did it at the agreed upon price and I left happy. Will go back. Read through the other reviews on here. Yelp reviews can be funny things. 1 star review for taking a vacation. 1 star review for not being able to fix something. Huh? I don't get it, not everything can be fixed and sometimes the repairs cost more than the shoe did originally! I've spent a lot of $$$ on shoes that really aren't good and certainly aren't repairable. I didn't know but can't hold some random shoe guy responsible for my purchases.

Yelp
I grew up utilizing the talents of cobblers since my childhood. Years ago our family cobbler passed away and finding a craftsman who cares and does fine work has been difficult. A friend found a beat up pair of Allen Edmonds and I told him I would work on them and continue my search for a crafts person who could resole. Larry was recommended and his quality work is stellar. He has my dance boots for resoling now, I'm awaiting their return. (If I trust you with my dance boots you are on the 5-star list as they don't make those boots any more)! Please see the attached photos of Larry's work on the Allen Edmonds!

Yelp
Pretty disappointing that shoe repair stores, in today's age, hasn't evolved enough to repair all shoes (sneakers). Discovered this place in the neighborhood so I took my Jordan's to have part of the sole glued up but advised that it wasn't something he can service.

Yelp
I have been here several times, and had shoes stretched, and picked up different items. Shop owner is alway courteous, and professional. Good prices and fair. Been happy with service.

Yelp
I came to the business based off of the reviews, however I didn't have a good experience. I arrived to the store at 9:55am the window sign says hours of operation begin at 10:00am. I waited until 10:20am, still no one showed up to open the store. Myself and 3 other patrons waiting all left. This can't be good for business. Wishing you all the best.

Yelp
Village shoe repair is the only place to go if you want any shoe repair done right. We have used this service for many years, and wouldn't go anywhere else. Larry is the most honest man we have ever met, and his work would stand to the highest of standards. Come and see the best cobbler in Atlanta.

Yelp
The absolute best! So first and foremost, this place is not one of those drop-your-shoes-off-they-send-them-away-to-Narnia-to-be-glued type of shops. This shop houses a bonafide cobbler! I have brought several pairs of my shoes here and I got them back looking brand new with the unforgettable glove-like feel that a shoe has when it is uniquely your own; that feeling completely undisturbed. I have even had some special requests taken care of without so much as a blink. The prices I found to be extremely fair providing decent value. I will drive the 30-40 miles to this shop for my shoes to have the proper care that will allow me to get the best out of my investment.

Mary Ellen S.

Yelp
I can't say enough about the excellent service and quality of work at The Village Shoe Service. The talent of the owner and his consideration for the needs of the customer is stellar!

Yelp
VERY UNSATISFIED! Carried a pair of cowboy style boots for new soles. Took almost 3 months to repair! Then they were wrong! Supposed to be leather soles but they put on rubber! Very disappointed! They offered for me to leave them to see what happened. I chose to take them and live with them. I didn't want to wait another long period of time. Oh Yeah, had to pay for services before any work. I delt with numerous phone calls and trips by there just to hear every excuse in the world why it was taking so long. I will never go back and don't recommend anyone else either! Regretfully, Mike

Yelp
Did a great job "restoring" my Gucci loafers that I wore every day for a year...they looked like they had been drug around behind a car. Ill def bring them more business.

Yelp
this shop moved to Railroad avenue in downtown Tucker. I had them do some quick fixes to some dress shoes while I waited. Didn't take long, price was excellent, they are open on Saturdays until 2. Everyone should use a cobbler every now and then, lest these types of craftsmen become extinct all together.

Yelp
This guy does an amazing job on louboutins!! Definitely worth the drive :) Great price and very good craftsman ship. Ladies protect your investment, we all know these shoes aren't cheap!!

Yelp
Went to this place based off the reviews I read. The guy, I assume was the owner, was VERY nice and extremely helpful. He repaired 2 pair of heels for me for $30. They look great. He does quality work and I appreciate his professionalism. I will definitely refer others and return.

Yelp
I used to go to another shoe repair shop on Lawrenceville Hwy but the man moved and I did not know. So I went to Village Shoe & Boot Services today to repair a pair of Enzo Angiolini pumps based on the reviews on this site. I really love these shoes and got a great deal on them when I purchased them. I had high hopes when I went to have them fixed. The sides of the shoe had come out of the sole and he gave me an estimate of $70 to fix them. I spent less then $20 for them on eBay. I had shoes repaired for the same damage from my previous shoe repairman for $12, both pairs. He tucked them in and nailed them. So I am not sure how Village Shoes came up with $70 for fixing a pair of shoes! Needless to say, I am GREATLY disappointed and will NEVER visit them again or recommend to anyone.

Yelp
Larry was very kind to me the other day. I had just bought a very thick leather belt and it just needed some extra holes made in it to fit properly. Not only did he charge me very little to do this, but Larry did it on the spot. I didn't have to come back and pick up the belt later. She made the holes match the existing holes exactly. He was very kind and it's clear by his skills and by all the mechanical tools he has here that he really knows what he's doing. I can't recommend him more highly. Thank you, Larry.

Yelp
I care not to bring the boots back as I have taken them to the other shoe shop and they fixed them properly. This is the reason I wrote this review 5 months later. The dog did not chew the zipper. The zipper broke when I put them on.

Gigi R.

Yelp
I took a purse into Village Shoe Repair and the owner quoted me a price for repair to the latch. I didn't leave it that day, but asked my husband to drop it off several days later, at which time the same man quoted the price at TEN DOLLARS more, despite the fact I had ordered and included the missing part on the second visit. This is called "bait and switch" and it isn't fair business practice.

Yelp
i needed my heals fixed in a rush and he was able to work me in. The heals look amazing! Wish i had before and after. Highly recommend coming here.

Yelp
I recently used this company to repair two of my leather handbags. So refreshing to walk into an establishment where the people there know a thing or two about customer service and seem to want your business. He went above and beyound to make sure my repair was perfect, even ordered another buckle so that it had a better fit for my bag. I'll will definitely use them again!

Cindy W.

Yelp
I have been bringing my shoes here for years, they does fabulous work from replacing heels, half soles on my Christian Louboutin (yes they use a red half sole) pumps and toe protection. They treat my shoes with great care and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. So happy I have a place I can trust with my shoes. Thank You!

Yelp
This shop is run by a skilled craftsman who can do anything that can be done to repair shoes. Larry does amazing and beautiful work. He can be pricey, but you are told the price and options before the service, so there are no surprises. I've been taking shoes and boots here for about five years, and have always been delighted and always gotten compliments from those I refer. This isn't a heel-cap and polish place (though he does that too), but a real, old-school shoe repair.

Yelp
I have a substantial leg length difference which requires me to have nearly an inch of sole added to one of my shoes to reduce back pain and scoliosis. While this condition is fairly common, shoe repair specialists that can do the job are very rare! I live in Roswell, but regularly make the trek to Tucker to get my shoes lifted here. The cost is always reasonable for what I'm sure is tedious and time consuming work, I can also order shoes here and get recommendations about what styles are easiest to modify and will wear well. This is essential as I am a nurse and a runner - which means of the several types of shoes I wear each day, all must be durable and comfortable. I don't know what I would do without Village Shoe!

Yelp
I went ahead and used them to have my shoes topy'ed. The guy did an excellent job. I have to say that I will use them again for any shoe related service.

Yelp
Just a terrific spot for shoes: repairs and purchases. Looks like they have a good selection of very high quality shoes, in addition to doing all sorts of repairs. The fellow working there is very friendly and helpful. I didn't know that stretching shoes for a little extra space was even possible.

Nancy K.

Yelp
Amazing all around shoe service. I was ordering a special shoe for my 91 year old mom. There was a steady stream of people picking up shoe repairs all exceeding happy and delighted at the work. One even came from 1 1/2 hours away for the quality work. Larry worked with me to find just the right shoe for my mom and even let me take a pair for her to try. Very excellent customer service, fantastic repairs and extensive special situation shoe selection. I'm a customer for life.

Sonya H.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and shoe repair! I went to another shoe shop for Michael Kors shoes slipping from my feet and was told there is nothing that could be done. At the Village Shoe shop they gave me a few options let me try it out and I was one my way! Their prices are extremely reasonable also. I am definitely a customer for life.

Yelp
I brought a pair of three year old cowboy boots to have the rubber heel cap replaced. I also had a protective rubber soles placed on over the leather soles. Price is given up front and it's preferred if payment is made when you drop your shoes off. He does accept credit cards. I'm very pleased with the quality of work he does (I know the stuff I got done is pretty basic) and when I picked up my boots, they were nice & polished and looking brand new again. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any of my other shoes & boots back here.

Pat D.

Yelp
I called to ask if a zipper could be put in a short pair of cowboy boots, and was quoted $100. I was not sure that I would spend that much but took them by in hopes it would be less. He said "$150.00" and I said "no thanks." I have used him before for simple things, and always found him to be pricey.
