"The vibe at five-year-old Village Tavern has always been much more boisterous, with TVs showing sports, a collection of bar snacks and drinking food, and a consistent local customer base. As for the menu, there’s still a casual way about the food at Village Tavern. Expect french fries, wings, tater tots, and a burger, as well as nachos, elote, tacos, and a ubiquitous fried chicken sandwich." - Farley Elliott

It's ok. For a bar it's good. They have Mexican food and pretty good prices on beer and liquor. If your looking for a place to meet people for a drink and hang out it's great. If you are looking for a to eat, it's fair. Food didn't blow me away but wasn't bad either. Potato empanadas were enjoyable, but the wings were a bit under cooked. I personally like wings when the skin is crispy, bit I didn't get a batch like that. To each their own.

The place is good, great place for drinks. I ordered the carne asada burrito. It was ok, pretty plain flavored wise but not bad. The drinks are very tasty. It does have outdoor covered seating also check out their happy hour daily 12-8

Great craft bee selection! Lots of food choices. Street parking is limited. No table service.

Awesome food, stellar customer service and too many Dodger fans! LOL The neighborhood is amazeballs and the true OG locals prove it over and over! This place is in my heart forever!

The food was okay. We had fun, the atmosphere is great. Just don't wait for the bartender to ask you if you need help. Be loud and say hey, in a friendly way of course.

Good beers and food! Friendly stuff and nice vibe. Perfect for catching up with friends. Besides the avocado fries ummm...that is not a good dish.

Good happy hour (although not as good as it used to be) with great beers that are $2 off and some good snack/food options. The food is good, the staff is always really friendly, and the atmosphere is chill. The music is often pretty loud which I don't like because I like to be able to hear who I'm talking to, but that's just me 😩

Used to be my weekly bar until they gave the food menu over to some restaurant. They used to have some great stuff on the menu. Granted, the food is still good, but much more limited; especially for vegetarians. I'd still recommend it for a beer but not for the food. Update: I can no longer recommend the food at all. I’ve been back 2 or 3 times since this review and the food has only gotten worse. Stick strictly to drinks.
