"This long-running Kensington wine bar features a relaxed setting in which to delve into its collection of bottles from small family-owned and operated wineries. Village Vino often hosts pop-up flights highlighting different producers and “walkaround” tastings that explore a wine region. Met some friends here for a meeting and bonus that we had a great experience too. It was a convenient location for us to meet and worth the try with all the good posted reviews. As many have mentioned, the service was great. Two very friendly and attentive staff members were working that afternoon. It was nice and quiet. Perfect for a meeting so we could hear each other. The food was stellar too. I really like the bacon wrapped dates. The flatbread was just okay in my options. I think I wish the bread was a bit crispier.

Cute place in Kensington on Adam's Ave. Food was 👌 Awesome...thanks to Chef Edgar. Vino, bacon wrapped dates stuffed with chorizo, The Dandy Flatbread with calabrese & prosciutto, then top off with Charcuterie Board. Will definitely go back. Thanks Vino Village!

Exceptional Winery Experience This winery is a gem! The Pinot Noir was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. The atmosphere was elevated with great music, and the staff was cool. The highlight? The creamy baked brie—a decadent pairing that took the experience to the next level. Yam! Truly a haven for wine lovers.

We want to love this place so much because it’s our neighborhood wine spot but we just can’t. The service is amazing. The spot is great. But $38 for a SMALL charcuterie board is insane, even though they do elevate it with elk, duck, and some imported cheeses. As for the wines, there is nothing stunning about them. They just roll over your tongue without triggering anything. These would be wines that are great for introducing someone to drinking actual wine and may be too turned off by robustness or fruit forward jamminess that is the trend on the rise. “Safe” is the word to describe the flavor palete. But none of them are inspiring enough to sign up for the wine club which is the only way to get a tasting flight. We will be back to try it out again in a few years… after a meal.

I really enjoyed stopping in to Village Vino! The bartender was very knowledgeable about wine and answered all our questions. The cheese and charcuterie board was tasty, there was truffle salami! All the cheese and meat descriptions were located on the chalkboard to refer to thankfully since i never remember. Definitely check it out!

Village Vino is located in the heart of Kensington. The neighborhood has a relaxing vibe, parking can be challenging so Uber or Lift in. The Chef at V.V. is a creative genius, always changing the dishes to reflect the season. Today, we ate baked feta and this incredible quesdilla with mole sauce. Amazing wine selection. Happy hour starts at 4pm. Prices very reasonable and the service excellent!

Google
This Chef prepares scrumptious tapas. Blue corn Mushroom quesadeillas & kale/brussel sprout salad w/crushed almond & cheese dressing. Have with 1 of their unique white wine blends. They've a new berry compote for dessert - hoping that staysnon the menu. Joining their 🍷club is great for discounts but they choose such unique world wines that I've not come across in my 55 yrs of wineing, it's worthwhile for the experience. Also have a monthly food-wine pairing that's always exceptional for their members 👏.

Impressive inexpensive wines and the food pairing is just on pointe. They are great hosts with great personalities

Yelp
Stopped in for a glass of wine and dessert. The moment you walk into Village Vino it feels like the wine shop got stuck somewhere in the 2010s. The decor is very bland. As is the interior design. I sat there and thought nothing about this place makes me feel like somewhere cool/hip/exciting. Thankfully I wasn't there for the decor. They have a nice wine list and beer options too. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc which they were out of. The server suggested the Grillo Gurriere (Italian white wine) which was really nice- dry, crisp, fruit notes, bold. We also had one of their desserts Gooey Brownie. The brownie and the ice cream were great. The peanut brittle and the candied walnuts were not needed imo. The staff was attentive and ready to help.. I'd forgotten all about Village Vino, I'm glad I stopped in!

Yelp
Review My partner and I are out-of-towners. But we come here to celebrate our anniversary in March, and our birthdays in October, for the past several years. That said, we keep coming back because of the consistency of service, the great variety of wines, and delicious food pairings. Most importantly, the environment. We've gotten to know some of the staff, with whom we've shared wonderful conversations, laughs, and recommendations. We tend to sit outside with our dogs, and even passerby with their dogs are so pleasant and welcoming. Though we switch our wine selections each time, we always pair it with a flatbread. In comparison to that at other places, the chef did an excellent job at building the flatbread so the bread itself can hold up the ingredients. Some places may add too much cheese so it's soggy or too much cured meat so it's oily. At Village Vino, the flatbreads are thoughtful and well balanced and paired well (pears and carmelized onions with whites, mushrooms and prosciutto with reds). Also, the rosemary smoked almonds paired well with cabs. The chef even came out with our server so we can give our compliments in person. One time, we did the charcuterie board and of course, that was plentiful. I'm not a fan of Syrahs or Grenaches so I tend to lean away from complex blends, and more toward their Pinot or Cabernet selections which always easy to drink on their own. For whites, the Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio are my go-to's as they too are beautiful and crisp on the palate. They never fail. From the wine to food to ambience and camaraderie, it's the theme of relaxation and unwinding that permeates throughout our visit here each time. And that's exactly why Village Vino holds a special place in our hearts. We always look forward to coming back.

Yelp
Super cute wine bar in Kensington! Love this place. Been coming for a bit of time. Friend is part of the wine club so we pop in for her tastings and grab some food when we do. Food menu is small and decent. Better than some other wine bars I've been to. Changes often though. The baked Brie this month is phenomenal. Very knowledgeable staff. I've tried some of the best wines ever here bc of them. Parking is street parking on Main Street or in the neighborhood. Decent amount of indoor seating and then some outdoor as well.

Yelp
I got to experience Vino wine bar private event style thanks to my boyfriend's company. They rented the entire bar out for their annual Christmas party. The employees were super kind and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the wine options and food pairings that came long with it. Vino wine bar is an intimate space and has a neighborhood feel. I would definitely go back for a date night or even a place to catch up with some friends. Parking isn't too difficult as there is a long street right next to it with plenty of free street parking.

Yelp
I appreciate the owner for writing their comment on my review. When I went in there it was 1 hour before the tasting event and there were no other customers there. Thank you again for responding The owner of this place needs to put up a sign that states: "No retail sales up to one hour BEFORE wine tasting event" - This way people like me who are interested in buying a good bottle of wine will take the hint and go elsewhere or wait until our wine club shipment comes in from "Last Bottle." :D I don't go to wine bars to eat large amounts of food; I go to learn about the wine and get introduced to a new bottle for enjoyment later. I am giving them three stars because I like how cozy it is there and because of the younger man who helped me find something good two weeks ago. I've been coming to this place for the past 6 years, after the way I was treated yesterday, the guy who acted like I didn't belong there snapping at me when I asked questions I will pass on this place. Also, I lol'd at him as he said, "We curate all of our wines, so all of them are good!" I am old Californian, I go up to Napa yearly over the past 20+ years to learn about wine. Even a place like Stag's Leap Cellars will recommend something according to your tastes, same with the smaller wineries in the Valley region. Anyhow - I've "said enough" here. Off topic a little bit but these San Diego wine places have me questioning some things about them these days.

Yelp
Finding a great Wine Bar, where the wines are the focus and star of the show, can be somewhat exhausting. And after you find one, you sort of want to keep it to yourself, as your little secret. That is a nice summary of my feelings of Village Vino. Five Stars, but Shhhh! Don't come here, you won't like it. LOL The four of us stopped here one evening for something lite, and to taste some great wines. The beauty of Village Vino is their "Half Glass" pours. It's sort of like a mini-tasting. Nice. We were drinking whites and I have attached their two-sided Menu (photo). The service was relaxed, but not indifferent. Our server Lillian was on top of things and never lost track of us. We shared a Formage & Charcuterie board, Brie Flatbread, along with delicious sourdough breads, a bowl of assorted Olives and some Country Pâte. Everything was tasty and we had no leftovers. I particularly enjoyed a half bottle of Muscat de Beaumes de Venise, an old favorite from the Rhône Valley, which is nothing like the Napa stuff btw. They have a ton of wine along the walls to choose from see photos. It makes for a great relaxing atmosphere, almost clubby and certainly fun. Our tab came to $144.50 before taxes and gratuities. We will absolutely be back on our next SD visit. But like I said, don't tell too many of your friends. Shhh! Village Vino is located on the Kensington side of Adams.

Yelp
Super cute wine bar in the heart of Kensington. I love sitting at the bar chatting with the wonderful people who work there. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Loved it! We were looking for a place relatively close to snapdragon stadium. Wine and a charcuterie board sounded nice. This place did not disappoint. Lovely and attentive staff. The environment is great. We elected to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. It is located in Kensington and is very clean. Lots of people to watch as they walk by (bonus they usually have their dogs with them!) Wine and charcuterie and cheese board were great! Loved it!

Yelp
Stopped in on way to concert. Sweet little wine bar. Had just sold the last bottle of the Portuguese blend I was eyeing so he brought me something not on the menu from Umbria: a chilled red (since it's so fricking hot today). Yum! Would definitely come here again when in town.

Yelp
This is my new favorite spot to grab wine! I ended up becoming a club member and cannot wait for my next shipment. They have a nice selection of California wines from the central coast and other regions in California. But also they have other wines from all over the world that I cannot wait to try. They are very choosy about what wines to offer and sell and the prices are reasonable. The staff is so nice and I am looking forward to enjoying many more bottles of wine and food from this establishment.

Yelp
I've had this place on my list for years. I'm glad I finally got the chance to visit. The GM seated us and helped us pick out a bottle of wine. He let us sample a couple of wines before deciding on a bottle. The food was super good. The chevre with pesto was delicious! "The Dandy" flatbread with mushrooms was great as well! The service was A+ - it was such a nice experience overall. Def recommend.

Yelp
This was my second visit to this lovely neighborhood wine bar. My friend and I shared a bottle of Merlot blend from France and the cheese and charcuterie plate. They have a small indoor seating area and some tables outside. It was a quiet Tuesday evening but everything we had was great and the servers are very sweet. We sat outside in the SoCal "cold" with the heat lamp on. Would definitely recommend a visit to Kensington to check this place out.

Yelp
It was so great to come back to this cozy wine bar! I needed to meet with a colleague and I love the fact that she loves wine! So we left work and came here. Ordered an amazing bottle of Extra brut rose from Portugal and the flatbread with figs and bleu cheese! Our work discussion lasted about 10 minutes of the almost two hours we were there! LOL! The staff is great! From the front to the kitchen and we seriously couldn't believe the chef had a 20+ year-old child! It must be the vino!!! Can't wait for our next meeting!

Yelp
Great selection of wine! We all had the Cabernet franc and loved it, but they ran out! Then we had a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley that we all really liked. The prices for the bottles are not bad. I'd come back for the wine only. We had food and unfortunately it was not worth it. I wish I had taken a picture but we spent almost $40 on a meat and cheeseboard and when it came out my jaw dropped because it was tiny!! 4 types of cheeses, one of which was cheddar, pickles which unfortunately had so much juice that everything on that side of the board tasted like pickles, which I hate. Regardless the 4 of us ate everything and we were still starving so we ordered two flatbreads and crab cakes. None of the food was worth it. As I said, go here only for the wine, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This is my wife and my pre game spot before a night on Adams. Great wine, fantastic service, and always an education on new flights and bottle releases. Absolute treat if you haven't been.

Yelp
So my boyfriend and I didn't realize that Ponce's was closed on Sunday so we found this place on Yelp. We walked down and in the front door. Nobody acknowledged us so we decided that it must be self service on the seating. We sat and the bartender came out from behind the bar and asked if we had a reservation. We said no and asked if that was a problem. He said he "didn't think so and would check." He walked away and never came back. No water, no menus, no welcome in, no offer of drinks or food. We left. We won't be back. Down the street at Clem's now. They are super nice and have an extensive menu of drinks and Belgium beers. Service matters folks. A simple "welcome in" or "sorry we don't have any tables available due to reservations " would have gone a long way.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our experience here at Village Vino recently. We had a couple glasses of wine and the Baked Feta appetizer while sitting outside. The staff was very welcoming throughout the experience, not just our server but everyone on the staff. It was easy to navigate the menu and our server was very receptive to any questions that we had. After giving the server some details on what kind of wine we were looking for, they were knowledgable and gave several recommendations for each of us. We both really enjoyed our glasses and ended up getting a bottle to go as well, which was reasonably priced for the area. The Baked Feta was also delicious with fresh cherry tomatoes on top. Will definitely return in the future.

Yelp
"You're going to love this spot! We've been coming here for years!" with a warm smile, the woman gracefully slid from her window seat and picked up her bag. We delightfully took her newly-vacated spot and looked at each other with a grin. Score! Between the cozy ambiance, the delightful staff, and the sheer number of bottles in the room, I immediately understood how Village Vino had become her neighborhood favorite. We absolutely loved the wine flight, which was themed around "campfire" and had four generous pours. Each had an entirely unique flavor that kept us intrigued, from a hint of smoke to a taste of cherry, from a delicate whiff of lemon to a flavor of fig jam. Our favorite was the white wine, a bombino blanco that had notes of cantaloupe, Meyer lemon, and a crisp, balanced flavor. We didn't order the appetizers, as we were headed for a group dinner. However, they looked creative and whimsical, with an elevated take on a classic campfire hotdog and a cheddar corn muffin among the offering. Overall, a sweet, if cramped spot for a few excellent wines enjoyed in good company.

Yelp
Wines, wines, wines! This place is oozing with wine and we loved our time at Village Vino! Definitely make a reservation as the restaurant is pretty small & tends to get packed-especially on a Friday night. Love their selection of wines which I'd say is evenly divided between whites and reds. Their menu is simple, some finger foods, flatbreads, salads and of course charcuterie! I will say though, the price of the charcuterie board we ordered was a little steep [$38]. Came with 3-4 different cuts of small round meats, 4 different kinds of cheese and some veggies & bread. The meats were cut a little too small, the cheese choices were really good & the warm bread was excellent. Minus a star for the flatbread that they forgot to put in for us. Ended up getting it, but after a longg while. I love that you can order a half glass of some of the wines- that way you can sample everything and not commit! Service was pretty good once some one acknowledged us. While it is a small restaurant, I feel like the staff is even smaller. I only saw about 5 employees so the wait times can be long. There are tables outside as well & the place is cutely decorated with wines all over the walls. They also have a wine club, inquire within! Will definitely be back to try out some reds.

H B.

Yelp
Great service and delicious light bites. Very generous with their wine tastings and pours. A neighborhood favorite. Suggestion:bring back happy hour!

Yelp
Rob helped us out this afternoon on my first trip here. Great place for small food to share. We intend to bring co workers back soon. Enjoyable food, drink and atmosphere. I admit that my wine knowledge is limited, as that I know more about beer and whiskey. But, the staff here walked us through some options and landed on a great Chardonnay top pair with our various food. Over all, would recommend.

A P.

Yelp
Nice wine though selection could have been larger. No food options that day for some reason. His full pour was not by any other restaurant standards and the other server had to correct.

Yelp
- Businesses operating during the pandemic, "thank you" review #17* - Who: Village Vino What: Do the shelves at Ralph's, Trader Joe's, Vons and your local liquor store have you shaking your head in disapproval? Are the wines lackluster and overpriced? Well, ditch the big box store and shop for your wine locally... have you heard of Village Vino? First things first, they control the number of people in the building. Not your turn? Wait outside and you'll be right up. Once inside you'll notice that while the selection isn't massive, it's great! I personally love that they're selling wines from Valle De Guadalupe and I picked up a bottle from Solar Fortun, one of the best wineries in Baja whose wines have been accepted into the world famous French Laundry. If that's not a testimony, I don't know what is. When: During operating hours. Please call to confirm that they are indeed open when looking to pick up what you need. - *As long as the world is in an unpredictable place with the coronavirus dictating our lives and schedules, I'm going to review businesses who are still operating to provide us some sense of normalcy, and this is one of those reviews. My reviews will be 100% positive when clearly indicated with the "Businesses during the pandemic" header and footer. Feel free to steal the format and do the same for the hard working businesses that you come across. -

A R.

Yelp
Best wine bar in San Diego! We love to come here to discover new wines - the staff is so knowledgeable, plus their unpretentious approach makes learning fun. We also love the food! Our wine night is not complete without the baked chèvre, crab cakes, and a flatbread or two. And I swear there is some kind of magic in the Baja Salad dressing. The big debate at the end of the meal is "how many s'mores should we order to avoid a fight?"

Yelp
After having an awful experience at Proprietor's Wine Bar by Rosie O'Grady's, we were desperate to find a wine bar where there was good service and had a decent meat and cheese tray. Village Vino is located in the heat of Kensington and has a cute little outside patio where you can also drink. It was cold, so we walked inside to a cute room just stocked with wine bottles everywhere. We were greeted by a man and a woman telling us to sit anywhere. We chose a seat next to the huge lit VINO sign. We thought it was cute how each table had a succulent and candle. Looking through the menu, there were so many food and wine choices. I went with a Petit Syrah that was absolutely perfect. The more it aired out, the better it tasted. The meat and cheese tray was the highlight. We received an entire loaf of bread sliced. There were about 4 different aged cheeses, 5 aged meats, tiny pickles, almonds, and some honey straight from the honeycomb. The venison was the tastiest meat and the honey was the freshest I've ever tasted! My experience might be skewed since I came to Village Vino after leaving a really bad wine bar. But, I think I can make an honest opinion that Village Vino has awesome selection in wines and food. I do think the meat and cheese tray was good, but waaay too expensive. I feel like I could make a better tray for half the price. Overall, it's everything I could ask out of a wine bar. Everything was perfect, but I didn't like the tray pricing and how bright it was inside. It's hard to enjoy wine when the bright lights of the store are killing the mood. Despite all that, 5 stars!

Yelp
This is a review for their cabernet wine tasting event October 2016. My first time here but friends frequent Village Vino regularly. I wish we could have sampled some of their food as it smelled delicious and looked tasty too. But we were on a cab tasting mission. There were 15 bottles to sample for $35, a fee that was generously waived with a purchase of 2 bottles per tasting. The wines ranged in value from $25 to $90 which was a significant discount off the lowest internet pricing I had seen (yes, I researched prior to attending the event!) The restaurant is small although there are a few tables outside. This was quite a popular event and even though it was getting crowded by the time we left they seemed to handle the group easily. There was no dearth of knowledge as every person pouring wine knew everything about what you were tasting, from the land, to the grapes to the person behind the grapes. One friend of mine commented that she enjoyed coming to these events at Village Vino because it saved her from making a trip to Napa and she could sample so many wines in one place. She summed it up perfectly....looking forward to a white tasting next time...and you bet I'll be ordering from the food menu too.

Devon A.

Yelp
I've been coming here for several years to work as opposed to a coffee shop. Great food, beautiful wines. I can't recommend it more highly. All the staff are experts in helping you pic wine for your tastes, not necessarily what's popular. The food is amazing and the menu changes regularly which is nice. Flights and bites can't be missed!

Yelp
I've been meaning to write this review for a while now and glad I've had more time to focus on my writing as of late. Village Vino is a gem. Pure and simple. A diamond in the rough if you will. If you're looking for a well curated selection of small production wines, this is your spot. Generally, I find that San Diego is full of the same ol wine sets at every place you go to. If you're not familiar with what a "set" is, it's a schematic that's created by stores to keep things consistent and imo, boring. Generally these sets are dominated by larger distributors and you find the same stuff at multiple locations. Boo. Village Vino is the exact opposite. Their selection of wines is unique, boutique and fantastic! Also, fear not! Wine can be intimidating but this place has employees that will show you the ropes and get you on your way to broadening your horizons. I purchased wines from Italy, France and they were all fantastic. I'll be back the next time I'm in SD.

Yelp
I met up with a friend at Village Vino a couple Sundays ago. I had never been, but had a great experience. First, it is located in the adorable center of Kensington. I'm not sure what it's like during the week, but parking was easy. They have a small outdoor area where people were sitting with their dogs. They have small tables inside. I felt comfortable. I was warmly greeted when I walked in. The server helped me select my wine after I described exactly what I was looking for. I drank a zinfandel that I really liked. Without knowing, we ended up there during happy hour! It was apparently quite the happy hour because 3 glasses of wine and one appetizer cost barely over $20! I hope to return again sometime soon for happy hour.

Ayla C.

Yelp
I love this spot! So glad we have a wine bar in Kensington. I love sitting outside here on a nice day enjoying their selection of wine and small bites. Everyone here is super friendly and was so nice to us even when we brought along an anxious puppy to get her use to being out and about in public places. Thank you for your wonderful service!

Yelp
Came here for some drinks before dinner and loved their wine selection! I ended up buying a bottle. Reasonable prices, great "wine" food, I'll definitely be coming back. This is a really nice place to come to before dinner for some drinks and conversation. My only complaint is I wish they stayed open later, I'd love to come hang out here with friends after a meal and have a bottle or two of wine.

Yelp
We used to love coming here. Easy to walk over and grab a glass of wine and some food. We walked over at 5:30 this evening. Outside tables were mostly empty. Inside tables almost completely empty. Bar seats available. We asked if we could sit inside. The bartender asked if we had a reservation. No. He said they were fully booked. Okay. Obviously everyone in the entire place had a 5:30 or 6pm reservation... or they just didn't want to say hey- you have 30 min or an hour until someone else's reservation. We could have had a glass of wine in 30 min. Could have eaten in an hour. Could have sat at the bar. It was SO weird. I also don't understand why they leave no tables for walk-ins. You can't make same day reservations without calling. Yeah, no. So we went to Cucina Sorella. I miss first come first served at Village Vino. I'm not going to make a reservation at my neighborhood wine bar. I'm disappointed and I'll miss VV, but there are other places literally steps away to go. The bar at Cucina is so lovely!

Yelp
Not sure why it took me so long to make it to Village Vino, but I am glad that I finally did! I was looking for a nice bottle of champagne for a gift and called them ahead of time after checking out their cellar online. I spoke to Kurt, who was super helpful on the phone and in person. They are also super responsive via Instagram DM. They make it a point not to sell mass-produced wines, so you won't be able to find their wines at grocery stores or other big box stores. If you are looking for excellent wines with exceptional service, Village Vino is the place to go!

Yelp
Village Vino is an adorable little wine bar in Kensington. It's got seating inside as well as a small outdoor patio that's dog friendly. They have a happy hour special that's $2 off full pours of wine. I loved the service here. The staff was really friendly. It was a hot afternoon and I wanted something cold to drink but only like red wine. Our waitress offered to chill the glasses for us so that we could enjoy some cold red wine. She also pre-chilled a second glass for us so that it was ready as soon as we finished the first. So thoughtful and sweet. This is a wonderfully cute little spot to grab a drink and enjoy.

Yelp
I came here with a group of work gal pals on our way to the Ken Cinema. I found this place on Yelp, and I saw that it was right next to my theater so I said hey girls, let's meet at for some drinks before the movie! I'll glad we did. We order 3 flat bread pizza's and some nice Pino Noir. This place is not inexpensive, but quite worth coming to. They have large tables to accommodate a large group of 8 or 10 and other smaller more intimate tables of 2. The service was awesome, the food was execellent, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Such a hole in the wall spot with amazing apps and a lot of variety of wine to choose from, Sylise was was amazing as a server with the best recommendation for the wine and was really attentive when we came in. Definitely coming back for more wine and might even join the club because it sounds like an unbeatable deal.

Yelp
Did a girls Happy Hour recently and the wine was great , but the food quality has gone down. I ordered a mushroom flat bread and it hardly had any mushrooms on it . I recommend for wine only . They also won't separate your checks if you have 6 or more people and automatically add 20% to your bill . All in all a fun get together.

Yelp
I have been eyeing this place for years, and I am happy to say I finally made it in. Kurt was friendly and passionate about the menu and what Village Vino is known for. Kurt also checked on me to make sure I was set with all I needed. Also parking was not difficult. I highly recommend this place. It is perfect for a date or just on your own. Thank you Village Vino for making my experience wonderful. OH! Can not forget to add the ALMONDS roasted macrona drizzled in rosemary were a perfect bite. And Thank you Rob for the delicious wild mushroom flatbread.

Yelp
Had been wanting to go for a while and finally did. I'm glad we went but we probably won't go back. The wine selection was good but a bit over priced. The servers were nice but not really talkative... like at all! We ordered the hummus which was definitely homemade and very tasty. It had artichoke in it and that was a nice surprise! We also ordered the margarita flatbread which also was good, not great though. It was actually pretty thick for a flatbread and looks of tomato. I did wish it had a little extra something, maybe spice. Something to cut all the sweet tomato. Great location!

Yelp
STOP HERE! this place is awesome. I consider myself a wine snob and EVERY. SINGLE. WINE. we had here was amazing! They specialize in finding wines from small family wineries and it was so fun to try some super unique wines. Their food is also amazing! We enjoyed the charcuterie, cheese board, flatbread, and brownie. Our absolute favorite was their Brie. OMG ask for the Brie and bread. BONUS they have parking in the back

Yelp
Happy Hour means Happy times. Our friend Frank D., was celebrating his birthday, we won't mention his age....greater than 21..he he . They have a happy hour special, 2 flat breads with a couple glasses of wine for $25. Of course things change so always make sure to give them a call before heading out on my info alone. Very friendly atmosphere, they have an outdoor patio (small but if it's only two of you and maybe the pooch, it should be fine. I know they have been in business for a while in this location and they are definitely a must try if you are a wino..I mean a wine drinker. As I mentioned great service and very attentive. I will try to come visit again because I see on the reviews that some of my fellow Yelp Elite have visited before including the birthday boy and his wife. See you at Happy Wine Hour soon!

Yelp
Date night, friend night, anyday wine night. This is a wonderful spot for all that wine drinking. I'm sure a lot of wine aficionados, or as an everday terminology known as winos, that frequent it here. I mean, this is, a wine bar, so naturally. Simplicity in great quality wine and eats, and fine leisurely ambiance is what you'll get and what you're paying for. Located at the Kensington end of Adams Ave, it's right at a corner of this lovely community. I love that the front of the place has a dog-friendly patio. And once you walk inside, you'll quickly sense the small space and dark structured wood accents. But yet it still holds a slight hint of coziness and ease to it. Their wine menu, to no surprise is extensive. So random it's cover is a manila folder. Attached inside are print outs of white sheets of paper. But I get that they need to update it often enough and need to make those changes easily. The wine by the bottle is what makes up for most of the pages. Averaging to an affordable mid $30s-$40s bottle to some going into the three figures. Your server will be a great source if you need any assistance in making your selection. But have no fear, you'll be able to get a little sippy taste of any of the wine by the glass, if your time is more on the casual fare. So once you settle on what you want to drink, they have a pretty nice offering of bites to complement your drink. I highly recommend getting a little variety to whistle your fancy. Nuts, cheese, prosciutto and bread, all ends up being devoured by the time you're finishing your second glass. You can drop a pretty penny considering you haven't even had dinner. But, the wine and the bites here will absolutely make a great pairing to go with conversation and good company. See what I did there.. "pairing" ;) Suggestion: Have your apps and/or your first round of wine here. Then head over to Bleu Boheme for dinner. Cheers!

Yelp
Background: I like wine but don't know much about the little details or science of the taste. My friend prefers white wine and I typically gravitate towards Cabernet Sauvignon so this review is based on that kind of palate! This was our first time coming to a wine bar and upon entering the decor gave off the vibe of homey comfort. The lights were dim, candles lit, and it seemed like a great place to relax and end the week talking with a friend or two. Overall the ambience is relatively intimate with plenty of seating on a Friday night. We were given menus (which had a lot of options) and our tables were wiped down for us which I appreciated. Ethan was our wine connoisseur who was very patient with explaining the criteria people typically pay attention to when drinking wine. He was talking about the body, the acidity, and how fruity different wines tasted. I like how we were able to sample what he suggested; we didn't feel pressured to commit and Ethan really listened to us and took the time to find what we'd like. I think it was cool to learn more about wine. I tried the cab franq (apparently the grandfather of the full-bodied Sauvignon) and liked it, but I ultimately stuck with a half glass (3oz) of the original cab for $6. You can also get a full glass (6oz) for double the price. As for the white wine, my friend opted for the Grüner veitliner which he felt was a more stronger-flavored white wine than the other option Ethan gave us. If you're looking for a flight of wine or to do some wine tasting, this isn't the *best* place to do that. It's pretty pricy for my fresh-outta-college demographic but it's a nice treat that's in a cute little neighborhood. I would return for their happy hour deal from 4pm-6pm Tuesday through Sunday for $1 off a glass.
