Ville Sull'Arno

Beautiful property. This is my 9th time visiting Florence and this place was a lovely option. Being that I didn't need to stay the city center and to be away from the crowds, it was so relaxing to return to this oasis. I was in room 202 that is located in the new wing and is modern/gorgeous.. I would ask for the same room when I return. Other friends had rooms in the main building with an old world design - also lovely.. The spa was so relaxing and the massage was in my top 3. The hotel had a mini White Lotus vibe if you are familiar with the series...

Best experience by far! Perfectly close enough to city center for site seeing, but far enough away you do not feel stuck in the hustle and crowds. The bikes available for free to guests were very enjoyable to use to get around easily. The shuttle to and from the city center is easy to use! The food and drinks are every meal were delicious and thoughtfully executed. We also participated in the cooking class offered and learned so much from Claudio and the staff. Our dinner that evening to eat our prepared food was a wonderful experience as courses were added in between to further enhance our experience. The pool area is relaxing and quiet. The spa is a wonderful space to relax after a long day or site seeing. We would come back here again and again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nicely located on the banks of the Arno outside the hustle and bustle of the centre of Florence with a shuttle bus option to get to the centre. Fabulous breakfast options and food quality. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and modern, cleverly designed. Added bonus of a modest spa facility and the outside pool and eating space. All in all a lovely hotel for our break in Florence.

This is a great hotel. Staff are fantastic, the room with a river view was great. Breakfast was perfect. ||We enjoyed the walk along the river into Florence, and also used the free shuttle bus. ||Do try and eat at the hotel restaurant one evening as the food is absolutely fantastic and service is first class. Highly recommend.||It's odd to be told we couldn't use the pool or the loungers when it was 25oC and bright sunshine during our stay. It seems they had to stick to a strict timetable when they open the pool on the 3rd May... not before! ||Otherwise, a top hotel in a beautiful location.

We stayed at sull'Arno for a few nights as a minimoon following our wedding, and we couldn't have had a better stay. The staff were great and made sure to accommodate to our vegan dietary requirements each morning at breakfast. Would definitely return.

Just left the hotel - fantastic property which is a little off the beaten path outside of the main touristy areas for a quieter experience. The property itself has great amenities and fantastic staff. Food was excellent as well. Rooms are very small and if you’re not used to certain shower nuances then you’ll need to adjust but everything is first rate.

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff who make you feel well looked after. Great food, lovely bar and lovely spa. Do get a treatment booked. Well worth it! |I have no complaints at all, but I will make some suggestions:|The spa is small, and while they do only allow 7 at a time it still feels a lot if all in the pool part. Do book this ahead if you want a time slot, worth a visit.|If you take a junior suite, one of them has a shower in the middle of the room. Just a heads up in case it’s not your thing. I was alone so loved it, but wouldn’t want it if with someone as I like my privacy. |Otherwise book! It’s a lovely place. The shuttle bus makes it very convenient, so good value for money.

This was the BEST hotel we stayed in during our 2 week visit to Italy! Beautiful hotel and property and the best staff of the trip. They are in town on the river and their shuttle service makes it effortless to get into the center of the city in about 5-10 minutes without the hassle of a bus or taxi. Most highly recomended!

Fantastic comfortable hotel. I've stayed at the famous hotels of the area that cost a fortune. This isn't a budget hotel by any means but they totally get it. The bed was comfortable, the room quiet with no extraneous lights. Shower was amazing though the curtain set up let water splash out but no biggie. 30 minute walk to Florence. (I love walking in Europe as much as i can). There is a bike path as well with loaner bikes for free. The hotel has shuttle service as well. Staff was just so friendly and all spoke enough English and didn't mind my attempts at italiano. Mille grazie Ville Sull'Arno!

Simply a dream on the River Arno with all the ingredients to create your own fairy tale. The reception staff and concierge were particularly top notch and hospitable. Every single employee we encountered from the valets to the spa staff to the cleaning staff to the restaurant and lounge staff were uncommonly professional and hospitable. I can't praise and thank them enough. I traveled with my precious dog who was greeted and treated like royalty. The property itself is understated elegance at its very zenith. Our room with daybed and claw footed tub was regal. The bathroom extravagant with heated towel rack and bidet. The entire property was pristinely clean. If I ever return to Florence my stay will be at the unique and unparalleled home away from home, Ville sull'Arno.

We were not planning on staying here, but we ended up staying here for our first night in Florence because of a mixup at another hotel. What a treat! The building did not look great from outside. Neither was the lobby. However, the rest of the hotel was great. I loved the ambience of the restaurant. Very classy. We enjoyed our dinner on the patio/courtyard. Contrary to what another reviewer said, this hotel is not close to the city center, the major landmarks. You could walk, but I would rent a bicycle (as another reviewer pointed out) or take a cab to save time. The best part of my stay was their breakfast. It was by far the most luxurious buffet style breakfast I've ever had in my life. It was almost like the restaurant was made of food (I will post a couple of photo when I find them). I have only stayed at three different hotels in Florence, but I cannot think of any other hotel but Ville sull'Arno for my next trip to Florence. Five stars, literally, as good as it gets! I really enjoyed this place. Very clean lots of amenities ..I would stay here again , we had a room by the water a little on the small side ..very nice bathroom and tub

One of the best places to stay in the world. Accommodating, beds are great. Showers and baths are excellent, and use of a spa type pool imitating the blue grotto in capri, and a steam room with perfumed showers afterwords. I was in complete heaven and joy. And the views at the arno in our room - wonderful. Hats off to Julia and Stella in reception. Both are stellar at helping us. Accommodating us, and getting us what we needed. One of the best days of four nights in my life. My wife and I really appreciate it. They arranged a cooking lesson in the restaurant that was one of the best experiences of our two weeks in Italy. Hats off to you both. I also took a bike out which was really wonderful. The only thing is make arrangements for the shuttle, which are limited to times and schedule and done by a third-party. So confirm and reconfirm and get their phone number. Take a taxi it's about €10. Depends on time of day and night as there are surcharges so it could be eight your room, or it could be 18 at 11 PM. Who cares, they know their way and are very accommodating.

Loved our stay in this marvelous hotel. It is a little distance from city center, but the hotel is large by Florence standards and the breakfast is wonderful. Staff is very helpful and the Spa is just amazing. Great place to stay.

I recently reviewed as a 5 star, but it deserves to go down for something that happened on the last day. My step mum have severe gluten allergy and there was a lot of products on the gluten free list that contained a big amount of it, when we talked to the kitchen manager they smiled and barely gave the importance needed. Really great hotel. They have shuttle to Florence center for free, you do need to make a reservation. Breakfast is not included but has a pretty good selection. A great part is that they offer a free router hotspot for you to take with you for the day that works great and fast. I recommend!!

Very nice hotel. Husband and I had a room by the water. Rooms have a vintage, rustic feel but with modern amenities. Staff was friendly. Dont pay for the breakfast. Not worth it. There are bakeries a few blocks away. It was a nice hotel BUT its far away from the city center and main attractions and eateries. While we liked it We recommend staying closer to the center of the city.

Loved this hotel. Best one I have stayed in in Italy. Service is truly impeccable. Bikes are free. Food is amazing. Room was comfortable and unique. Great stay!

Absolutely lovely villa in Florence with outstanding service. Designed so nicely and so much more comfortable then staying in the center of Florence. More space and restaurant is fantastic as well. The walk to the center of Florence is easy and we found it so nice to be a little removed from everything. Very quiet area and peaceful. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay here. Their rooms are great and decorated well. Beds were comfy. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is great as its right on the river and not far from the main center. We had breakfast included and that was great. Staff is hard working. The lack of one star is because we had a couples massage and the therapists were horrible. They do have good amenities in their spa though if you want to use their soaking baths. Great boutique hotel. I would stay here again.
