Yelp
In Annapolis for some furniture shopping. We read about Vin 909 a few weeks ago and wanted to try it.
Located in a residential neighborhood away from the historic Capitol district. Easy street parking and small parking lot.
We snagged the last 2-top, unfortunately near the kitchen door, but it was fine. Packed dining area on an enclosed porch with heater.
Menu selections were terrific, not lots of pescatarian/vegetarian options, but easy to leave out whatever protein you don't want.
We opted to share a salad (w potato, olives) and a pizza (mushroom with truffle oil). Both were terrific!
Excellent service (shout out to Marley!).
The star is the wine menu, as one might expect. I love the deliberate curation. Excellent selections, some well-known, others new to me. Asterisks indicate suggestions, which guided me. We ordered a Rioja, a Cotes du Rhône, and a mixed red from Washington. Each was excellent. Loved it.
We definitely want to return!
5's almost across the board: location, service, atmosphere, food, wine selection. Value scores a 3-4 because we SHARED a salad/pizza with three wine glasses and the bill came to $83 including tax/tip. A subway sandwich for two with drinks would have been $25, so I'm not complaining.
When we exited, the waiting area was packed! This place has been discovered!
Highly recommended!
