Incredible selection of Wines. A small shop that really focus on quality of their wines. Go there and find wines from all the regions, but made by small producers and mostly organic. Also, lots of natural wines and labels that you can't anywhere else. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Super organized and clean shelves. Prices are great: you can buy a biodynamic wine for less than 15 dollars! New place that came to stay and be a famous spot in soho-tribeca!

I have enjoyed visiting this newly opened store on Canal St as it resonates with friendly quality and a good wine selection. One will not find Yellow Tail here, but there are numerous treasures to be found. I found a stunning Gruner Veltliner from Austria as well as a unique Chinon red to serve friends with on a hot July weekend. With easy help from both an importer and the owner, I could have easily kept buying things to have fun tasting with. My suggestion would be to visit here and remember to look on the shelves below the facing wines. There is more wine here than it appears to be from the front door.

Vin Des Amis thrives on tourists in the neighborhood. The staff, while knowledgeable of their wines, provide an adequate service and like to know 'how much' one is spending and thus determines interest level. The wine quality is random -'hit or miss' - most recent example this week Dec 3rd a purchase Cuvee des Princes d'Orange (Red) 2016, & Cheverny (White) 2017, both inexpensive wines. The wine corks broke while opening both. These were within 30 mins of purchase. This is not the first time with purchases from this store.

a very tidy and well-stocked wine shop, with much wine from the Jura; everything on the shelves has been selected and is there for a reason - qualified and polite service...and ice-cold AC too.
