Google
Our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. Fresh, flavorful and creative salads, sandwiches and drinks. They have a back patio. We love New Mexican food but after : meals a day for 7 days, we were thrilled to have some vegetables. The staff is kind, funny, chill, helpful. If you are looking for gluten-free, vegetables, flavor and fresh, this is your place. We went 2X and will probably go tomorrow too.

Google
Vinaigrette is the perfect lunch spot, it’s fresh, flavorful, and full of great options. Their salad selection is amazing. I had the kale Caesar with a tuna fillet and it was perfectly balanced and satisfying. We also tried the chopped Asian salad, which was super fresh and packed with flavor. It does get busy, but the atmosphere is upbeat and worth the wait. A go-to for a healthy, delicious meal!

Google
Absolutely floored by the entire experience. The sun was setting as we drove up behind the Modern General, Erin Wades daytime and breakfast experience located adjacent to the adobe building where Vinaigrette operates. The service was attentive and personable with very accommodating suggestions for our vegan palette. Our drinks were exciting and refreshing. And the salad traded the meat options for a fantastic grilled and seasoned tofu. The ginger sesame vinaigrette was off the charts delicious and the colorful salad knocked our socks off. We had some coffee and a double espresso which both met and exceeded our fanatical standards. The romantic atmosphere eating outside just made our visit stellar and we will obviously be returning and returning again. The standards Erin Wade has put in place and the quality of produce which comes from her farms is too notch. My head is wavering back and forth not knowing what more to say other than we will have to leave room for dessert next time. Our day was long and consisted of a drive from Las Cruces to the Jen Tough Gallery for an opening. Santa Fe has many dining options and Vinaigrette must be at the top of your list.

Google
Great Santa Fe vibe with local art and music, in a tucked-away homey building. Fantastic, giant salads, easy substitute of meat for delicious and spicy tofu. EDIT: beware, up-charge of $9 to NOT eat meat at a salad restaurant. Not great! Recommend the "Big Pickle" salad (mango, mint, spicy bbq, bell pepper, spinach, cabbage) and kale nachos (really a taco caesar). Beautiful carrot cake. Friendly server, though he brought us the wrong plate and the next table the wrong drink.

Google
Vinaigrette has a lovely outdoor seating setting, ideal for a warmer weather for dining outdoors. It has many delicious salads to choose from and a very good drinks selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. I also like the variety of dressings to select. They can accommodate glutton free options as my wife is gluten intolerant. Very attentive service. Price is reasonable. The only thing I do not like is their parking. A rather tight and dumpy pebbles parking lot. If you drive a low clearance car , like a sports car, the bumps may scratch the bottom of your cars. So don’t drive your Ferrari to this place.

Google
If you’re looking for the best chicken wings you’ve ever had, Vinaigrette is the place. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and worth every bite. The rest of the food? Fantastic. You won’t be disappointed. The atmosphere leans toward the lively side—great energy, but the music might be a bit loud for some. Service is solid, but don’t come in expecting a quick bite; good things take time. Prices are a little high, but that’s just the world we live in. Bottom line: If you love great food and don’t mind a little wait, Vinaigrette delivers.

Google
Hard to describe why, Vinaigrette is awesome! Dining outside on the patio or inside is great year around. While fresh and healthy may deeply apply, it’s really the food we wished we could have had growing up.

Google
Exceptionally high quality food prepared simply with flavor. Everything we had was delicious. We had tomato basil soup, mushroom stew (excellent,) tuna melt, duck tacos, omega salad (excellent,) prosciutto, peach and buratta salad, lemonade, hibiscus tea, and lemonade. Service was prompt, the environment is light, clean, and friendly. The highlight is the flavorful, healthful food though.

Yelp
Great andunique food. Good sized portions. Wonderful service. Google needs to fix mapping issues. When it's Truly discovered it will be packed to the gills. PS. GREAT MUSIC.

Yelp
You have to try this place. Cute place . Easy to find but parking is limited but don't let that stop you. We had turkey sandwich ( lots of goodies on it) and tomato basil soup, which was unbelievable. Everything there is homemade. The wait staff was sweet, friendly and kind. Youll miss out if you skip this place!

Yelp
The soup which I picked up for my parents was a huge hit with them. Unfortunately my wallet took a substantial hit as well. Finding Vinaigrette was a bit difficult and entering and exiting even more so, as it's done through what can only be described as an alleyway and if you meet a car coming out as you're going in one of you has to back up. I'll go back of course for my parents because they're hard to please and Vinaigrette does so, but probably not for myself.

Yelp
Vinaigrette has wonderful salads and sandwiches. Everything appears amazingly fresh and ripe. The dressings are delicious too. Their salads are creative. I plan to duplicate some when I get home. All good news! Why only 3 stars? First, the floor was dirty. Food and napkins left behind. Second, the menus were sticky. All three on our table were filthy! Third, even the bathroom door was sticky. You need to clean the place better. This could have easily been a five star for me.

Yelp
Great place, light crowd, comfy, yummy, great selection room. Must try. A good variety of salads, soups, and sandwiches.

Yelp
Did Vinaigrette recently change ownership? It use to be one of our family favorites in Santa Fe for healthy lighter meals but after dinning there yesterday it was completely different and disappointing. : ( The service was incredibly slow and almost non-existing. When the waiter did show up he was cheerful and energetic but then crickets would set in. It actually felt confusing?! We had to ask for our drinks (when we would finally see someone) and then they were served after our meal was served. My ice tea was forgotten until I asked again... The Greek salad was almost entirely cucumber bits and cheery tomato halves. Only 2 black olives and very few small feta crumbles. So disappointing and with little flavor. I finally gave up scooping cucumber triangles onto my fork. Ugh..$120 bill for 4 people and no one felt fulfilled by this experience.

Yelp
Charm in out of the way alley. Great back patio although the apricots from the tree can rain down on a windy day!. Lovely large salads, good focaccia and pankco goat cheese balls. And my South African white blend was the perfect accompaniment. Definitely worth the visit.

Yelp
Vinaigrette is truly a gem! Their organic locally sourced foods are so delicious, and their chefs know exactly what they are doing! Everything from the appetizers, to the soup and salad, to the main entrées and the desserts-- everything is delicious! I especially love the service there, as they are welcoming, attentive, and informative about each dish. The ambience is relax, with an inside that has benches and an outside with tables and umbrellas. There's a little bar area inside, as well.

Yelp
Can't wait to be able to go back for lunch soon. The place was beyond amazing and so fresh tasting with delicious food options and cocktails/wine. In particular the jicama wrapped duck tacos were so amazing. Who knew jicama could be used as a taco shell. I hope the meal is not just seasonal because this should be a staple long term! Can't wait to visit Santa Fe again to go to vinaigrette once more

Janice B.

Yelp
I'd give zero stars if I could. Super meat-centric and very anti-vegan (and it's a salad place, lol). Pretty much everything they offer has meat, duck fat or cheese in it. On top of the extremely high prices, if you omit meat from your salad and substitute tofu, you have to pay for the meat anyway AND an extra $8.00! Thank goodness that a new salad place is opening soon in Santa Fe. We won't return to this rude and disappointing business again.

Nate B.

Yelp
For a salad place, this place is unusually meat centric with meat in almost every salad. The sad part is that you pay for the meat even if you don't want it. And if you want to substitute for tofu they will charge $8 extra. Don't really consider this being conscious of your customers, especially for those who have food allergies (ex. dairy).

Yelp
The mushroom soup was a great starter, followed by a seasonal slaw salad with radish and lamb meatballs. Just the perfect amount of good for a light eater like myself.

Yelp
I have eaten at Vinaigrette many, many times. They have some innovative salad recipes that are quite wonderful. Unfortunately, they are inconsistent in their quality. This is actually the kiss of death to a restaurant because when a customer pulls into the parking lot and has an expectation for what they're going to enjoy for lunch or dinner, and what they're actually served is substandard, it is not good for business. That is exactly the situation that my friend that I experienced today for lunch. The food wasn't good nor were the drinks. It was so disappointing. Our bill was $66 so we should've had a lunch that we enjoyed. We just aren't going to go back. Their inconsistency has become consistent.

Yelp
Love the idea of this place - salads & wine, just what I was looking for after days of eating chile rellenos. Had the Mexican kale salad, was too salty for me. Had great glass of Sauvignon blanc to go with. Great atmosphere, good music. Great place to sit & work all day. Would come back next time I'm in Santa Fe.

Michael M.

Yelp
Food is good but way too expensive for what you get. I called the Santa Fe PD because it's criminal how much ice and how little juice you get in their drinks!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing. Our best meal in Santa Fe so far. We have been here since Sunday and haven't had much luck with food. We are leaving Saturday and now will be eating here every day until we leave. Food=amazing. Service=amazing. Ambience=amazing. This place needs a better rating for sure. The Vinny sangria I had was amazing. My Asian chopped salad with duck confit was delicious. My wife had eat your peas salad with chicken. All amazing.
google avatar

Nancy Y.

Yelp
Service was terrible, long wait to order. Finally dropped food off with no utensils and no ice tea that was ordered. Gumbo was runny, not thick as it should be. Had to search out wait staff to tend to missing items.

Yelp
We were vacationing in Santa Fe and discovered that not much is open in Old Santa Fe on Monday night. We found Vinaigrette within walking distance of our B&B. Husband and I each ordered salads. I had the Eat Your Peas option. Husband had the Frise with duck confit. My salad was good but maybe had a little too much cheese which overwhelmed the other ingredients. I added the lemon chicken. Also ordered the gumbo soup which had amazing flavor. I wished I'd ordered a bowl instead of a cup. We also got dessert to go. Highly recommend the lemon cheesecake. Carrot cake was also delicious.

Yelp
I have usually enjoyed the food here and have a been a patron for well over ten years. Sometimes service is lacking, and that can happen. But the reason for 2 stars is for neither of the aforementioned reasons. When I last dined there, I casually reviewed the check and it had two charges, just over a dollar each, one before tax and one after. They were labeled "KAP". For clarity, I asked a server walking past the table (ours had disappeared) what KAP was, I was told it was a "Kitchen Appreciation Fee." Really? If you are going to attempt to charge this without mention, it frankly appears deceitful. Don't short sell your customers. If you were upfront about this charge and and explained it, you'd invite the possibility to actually get more buy in, thus collecting more for the back of the house. I know I'd toss a little more their way. no problem. Otherwise, there is a substantial chance you're simply going to piss off loyal patrons - It's not about the money guys, it's about transparency.

Yelp
Horrible experience!!! The bartender Benjamin was horrible, seemed as if he had no clue what he was doing. It was super busy and he could not handle under pressure, literally cussing in front of us customers using the F word, being very disrespectful and unprofessional! Drinks took 30 minutes to come out!! Never returning again. So sad it used to be a good place. Lost a loyal customer!!!
google avatar

Ted P.

Yelp
Not sure how this place commands four stars. The Caesar salad was a joke - two romaine leafs with a dusting of parmesan cheese and a tiny and bland Cuban torta. Very disappointing meal. Also very expensive for the quantity served. I left hungry, which shouldn't happen.

Yelp
A nice find in Santa Fe. The food was beautifully done ... fresh and tasty. Had a wonderful time and if and when we return to Santa Fe we will certainly be back.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Sitting patiently waiting for service....everyone's busy with everything but the customers. Passionate passive aggressiveness from a super strained waitstaff of two who just aren't into it...oh! Someone turned up to take our order and I feel confident she'll burn it is a ceremonial pit inside the question. I've lots of sympathy, I used to live in Amsterdam where waitstaff would have to look it up in the dictionary. Having just walked in off the street, just mentioning that service was going to be slow would have been ok. We feel a little ambushed...and have little expectation that food will turn up before we have to leave ...wish us luck!

Yelp
This restaurant has been on a death spiral for a couple of years. Went there tonight and ordered "The beat goes on" salad. There were two small partial slices of a beet in the entire salad. A small smount of goats cheese and a few pieces of nuts. Ordered the fish as a protein. The fish was less than 4 ounces for 11 bucks. Dinner for two with only salads no drinks with tip $80. one waitress in the entire restaurant. So sad to see what used to be a great restaurant disintegrate. Just not worth the price. The quality of the food is too low service too low.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing 3-mushroom stew. Rich broth tastes like French onion soup - told it is miso. Save room for the carrot cake - it is perfection. Special kudos for making the frosting creamy and not overly sweet like others are. Nice fresh salad ingredients, but too heavy with the dressing excellent friendly service. Wish I wasn't going back to California!

Yelp
If it's not obvious from the myriad pictures of the same dishes, we had something of a love affair with Vinaigrette during our New Mexico trip which involved half a dozen meals (including takeout for the airplane!) during a weeklong visit. We went to both Albuquerque and Santa Fe but were partial to the latter. The salads were phenomenal (and that's coming from snobby coastal San Francisco standards). Extra big props for the exceptional tofu that was offered as a protein sub. So often the vegetarian options are an afterthought and so often tofu is a flavorless choice that justifies widespread aversion to it, but this tofu is what I'd use to make converts of carnivores. It's not enough to take off a star, but the service was pretty inconsistent and several times they brought chicken on the salad when we clearly asked for it without meat. Also, we were told different things about items' availability by different staff members. But the food itself wins out over the questionable waiting.

Yelp
2nd time here and much better than the first. Good sized portions, tasty and fish was fresh. We sat outdoors initially but then it started to rain so we moved indoors. Servers could have been a tad more helpful. Indoor space feels cold decor wise. Outdoors is prettier. Friend like her shrimp and salad. Enjoy!

Wendy T.

Yelp
Wonderful service and great atmosphere in an excellent location a little off beaten path - sat at the bar and had some drinks

Karen S.

Yelp
I had the most yummy salad I've ever had! It was the frisée with warm dressing. My goodness it was so huge I didn't think there was any way I'd finish it but I did. It was my first time there but I will be back again and again!

Elena P.

Yelp
One of the most beautiful patios in Santa Fe. The overhead tree canopy is absolutely gorgeous. Their salads are so fresh and flavorful and delicious. We've had great service every time. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lulu D.

Yelp
After a long day, I was in the mood for a light dinner and ended up choosing this place. Although the food took a bit longer to prepare, the wait was worth it because the salads turned out to be generously portioned and absolutely delicious. We ordered the La Pepita and Eat Your Peas salads. The servers were friendly, and I appreciated the minimalist and clean interior ambiance.

Bruce G.

Yelp
A Simple, and healthy, restaurant filled with locals. The salad dressing on the pear salad was a little on the sweet side but the veggies and pear were all fresh and delicious. We also had duck tacos with taco shells made with thinly sliced jicama that would have been perfect except the overly sweet sauce. The restaurant is bright and cheerful but some padding on the chairs and benches would be welcome.

Yelp
Vinaigrette was a great find. Looking for a salad after a long day of driving, we settled on Vinaigrette. We sat on the patio which was sparsely populated when we arrived but soon filled up and people were waiting for an outside table. My wife ordered the Cobb salad which she loved. My Chopped Asian Salad was delicious. Salads were fresh and lightly dressed which I surprisingly found perfect. It's a little of the way but worth searching for.

Rod C.

Yelp
Went here last nite after a long absence as a customer. The food here is the draw and remains so. It is fresh, bright, inventive and although a bit pricey for me, it delivers on value. The downside is the service. Our service throughout the seating was poor, inattentive, distracted. The cafe wasn't especially busy, there were multiple empty tables throughout; although they seemed to do a kind of constant take out business and the bar tender doubled as the take out manager (effecting the delivery of drinks to the table). There seemed to be no supervision of the room, no busser, couldn't tell if there were actual server stations. Just badly organized. We will have to thing hard about whether we will come back soon, despite the distinctive and healthy food profile.
google avatar

Todd G.

Yelp
My only complaint is that parking is very difficult. Service is friendly and quick. The salads are excellent. The miso ginger dressing is refreshing and tasty. Very pleasant place to grab a healthy lunch.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Our waitress was great. However, the food was not. I ordered the tuna melt--it was so greasy and the bread was soggy. There was nothing in the tuna like celery or something for crunch. There wasn't even lettuce on the sandwich. It was served with a 'caesar salad' which was soggy lettuce and a couple of croutons and tomatoes. If we weren't so hungry we wouldn't have eaten any of it. Had to take some tums when I got home. My partner had the turkey sandwich and his was greasy too. Sorry Vinaigrette. I guess we should have stuck with plain salads. Parking is problematic too. I don't usually do reviews but I couldn't help it this time. Again, sorry.

Yelp
Awesome salad selections. Beer list is limited. The Salacho, described as a "dressed up taco salad" is truly an adult version of the classic menu item. It was dressed with a tangy vinaigrette. Service was good. Ambiance is sort of hipster minimalist, at least to my eye.
google avatar

Joey C.

Yelp
Wow. Impressed. If you think apartheid was bad, vinaigrette is like the bosnia/Herzegovina genocide of food. This place is supposedly riding the moon as the premier salad spot. Yeah vegetarian peeps, I said salad. But let us begin with the appetizers... some homemade Mac n cheese, a gumbo soup, wild mushroom stew, fruit beer, nachos. Not one dish in the aforementioned signifies any gastronomic response other than a screaming sphincter. The Mac is a terrible foray into attempting to highlight Annie's pasta in a cheese fondue. The gumbo is flavorless and cold like a borscht but for rich people with no taste. The wild mushrooms clearly didn't even make it from a real distributor as there were baby tasteless unprepared dirty boxed mushrooms, fruit beer-we don't need to even go there, and the nine tortilla chips from the bag with some cream and cut up scallions and canned black beans do not equate to nachos people. But the winner here was the duck confit and arugula salad with Gorgonzola and who knows what. Ever eat a duck's vomitus? I just did. Spent the speed limit for the experience. If you eat here, go with the expectation you will have a bad time and perhaps consider this a great hangout to break up with that "special" person you've been meaning to "have that discussion" with.
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
So like... it's just salad? It's good salad! Lovely selection and delicious, but... it's really expensive salad. Be prepared to pay a steep price for lettuce. We sat on the patio out back and had the deep misfortune of being sat directly under an apricot tree. We proceeded to be hit in the head by falling apricots all night. At one point, one flew straight into my friend's water glass, splashing her in the face (idk how many points the tree gets for that one but it was a great shot). It was certainly entertaining but hurt and was not my idea of a relaxing evening.
google avatar

Art V.

Yelp
Phenomenal! I had the Torta Cubano with an Omega salad. I also got a cup of gumbo. My wife had the duck tacos in a jicama shell and a Greek orzo soup. We topped off with desserts of carrot cake and lemon cheesecake. Every single thing was delicious. Even my drink, a pepino, was great. Glad we chose this as our first meal in Santa Fe.
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Still a decent place for a sit down meal, but definitely avoid take out. Portions are half the size and look like they were thrown into the box from across the kitchen. Seriously thought someone decided my salad was a football and spiked it.
google avatar

Jeff E.

Yelp
The salads are the reason I came here multiple times during our lovely stay in Santa Fe. So many fantastic choices! I'm sure they have a salad that will satisfy your craving. Many wonderful protein options to add onto your salad from vegan options to surf or turf options. Frisée salads aren't super easy find, and big scallops aren't exactly a typical protein option for a salad but they have it here (both seasonal)! The scallops cooked perfectly (no rubbery scallops here!). The bacon/lardons plentiful. The eggs are wonderfully jammy. The Greek salad was super refreshing. I paired that one with chicken (no dry/flavorless chicken here!). The Cobb? Classic. The portions are quite big and the salads are nicely dressed. As for beverages, your meal can be paired with a local beer, or perhaps you're feeling wine, or even a non-alcoholic concoction might be your fancy. I can't tell you how pleased I was to see that they had nonalcoholic options that wasn't just juice/soda/water. So refreshing! They make their own focaccia, delicious! Fantastic place! Cute backyard with lots of seating and shade. Vinaigrette, if you're thinking of expanding out West, come to Los Angeles please!!!

Yelp
I've been to Vinaigrette a few times now and have had some great experiences dining in, but I've got to give this place a 2 after yesterday. I wanted to have a seamless and quick visit so I opted for online ordering with curbside pickup, but no one came out when I arrived and also no one answered the phone when I called twice. After making my way inside, there were 2 others in line before me placing take out orders, and the cashier was painfully slow. I had to wait another 10 minutes to be helped and given my food that was already paid for and soggy. The turkey sandwiches had very little turkey with side salads that were also skimpy on ingredients despite the up-charge for the omega version. These were definitely not worth $40.

Yelp
Vinagrette you are forever in my heart. The variety of salads are unmatched. Expensive, but amazing. I'm anxiously awaiting your cookbook. The ambiance of the place whisks you away with the vacation vibe y'all got going on in the courtyard. My only gripe is that sometimes the salads aren't big enough. Oh -- and the Ceaser salad we had a few weeks ago, came on 8-inch long chunks of romaine. LOLWTFNO. Don't do that to anyone ever again! We'll be back again and again and I hope to one day become a member of this secret club that has eaten EVERY SALAD ON THE MENU. Keep up the great work, we love you!
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
Delicious fresh gourmet salads and the best carrot we've ever eaten. Duck tacos were excellent for appetizer!
google avatar

Rose B.

Yelp
I'd give this place 5 stars for the variety of salads, soups and sandwiches. However a very rude waiter ruined our experience. I see that he has been mentioned by others on Yelp but I was willing to overlook their remarks. So here's mine... go for lunch, not dinner. The lunch servers were excellent.

Yelp
Superbly clean and delicious food. Great drinks both alcoholic and non. A big thumbs up!

allie t.

Yelp
Flourless Chocolate Torte--lack luster presentation and portion, does not disappoint on taste!! Good enough food. Parking is terrible, but on par for Santa Fe. Prices are pretty normal for decent Santa Fe sit down restaurant. Great tasting dessert with terrible presentation and stingy portions. Large salads, pretty delicious but can rack up the bill if you add proteins. Service would be excellent by post covid standards, sub par pre covid standards. 3.5 stars, generously rounded up to 4.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to restaurant for amazing salads. After my experience today, however, I will never return. We ordered takeout. While waiting (for some time) for our order at the counter with a clear view into the kitchen we observed that the chef was not wearing a mask, which is required by governor's order. We considered leaving, but decided just to say something. When the manager arrived with our salads I told him we had considered leaving when we saw the chef wasn't wearing a mask. His reaction? "We're all vaccinated and it doesn't really matter." And he was just plain rude. And clearly didn't care that we just paid him $60 for two bowls of lettuce. He may not have cared about losing two local customers who live around the corner, but I have lots of friends who agree with me that Covid precautious do matter. And I'll share my experience with all of them.
