I'm conflicted about this place. I'm trying to weigh my good and bad experience. I'll just break it down:
Good:
- cool, clean, modern space
- the restaurant's claim of sustainable dining, organic, and local food
- good tasting Pho
- fast and great service
- self serve (?): you order your food, you pick it up when they call your number, you get your own drink, and you are the busser of your table. Just like going to fast food places.
- keto option! They serve shirataki noodles (low carb/calorie). This one I really liked.
Bad:
- one size only pho ($10-13) with limited meat selections and combo. So if you like the tendons, tripe, meatball etc. (like me!), this is not the place for you. If you've never had pho or not adventurous, this place IS for you. Just too Americanized for me.
- you pay for each anything extra. Example: I ordered pork bahn mi. Small $6/ regular $9. You want an egg? $1 each. And there's no patè!!! Which was super annoying. Extra broth, noodles, meat, modifications... you pay extra.
- not kid friendly at all. Ok--- this is my fault. I realized it's by a business area that caters for that population. I tried to accommodate my 4 year old and had to order "smaller" options-- which ending up paying more. There's only myself and my kid. I ordered keto pho, small bahn mi (no extra), and the extra broth with meat (noodles extra). This lunch experience was $30+.
I commend them for being sustainable and healthy. Things that I want for myself and especially for my kid. However it just left me frustrated in a way. If I want to eat Keto pho again, I'll maybe think about this place.
