"Vincent’s — sibling to Mamaleh’s and State Park nearby — is a neighborhood standby with a unique menu that changes regularly, and plenty of incredible wine and cocktails to choose from. The focus on making food from scratch and sourcing ingredients from small and local producers shows up in each dish, whether it’s a casual breakfast taco or kolache at brunch or a hearty pork loin and sausage entree at dinner." - Karen Wilber

"The bottled cocktails pictured here are currently out of stock — keep an eye on the Vincent’s ordering page (see link below) for their return — but you’ll also find a few takeout classic cocktails available in plastic 12-ounce cups, such as a Paloma and a Tom Collins. Vincent’s is also selling plenty of food, old records, and more. Currently offering takeout, delivery, and outdoor dining. Order: Official Website" - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

If you could rate higher than 5 stars, this is the place. The food was really awesome, and so was the service. The food we ordered was gnocchi and chille relleno. The food was refreshing and filling at the same time. This is a place where you will find good quality. Last but not least, the atmosphere is really relaxing and calm.

I've had Vincent's bookmarked, but when I heard that it was closing, I immediately moved it to the top of my list so that I could try the famed kolaches while I still had the chance. I actually tried to order them during last week's Bodega Brunch, but they sold out before opening (via online orders). This week, I set an alarm, and they sold out yet again, but I was able to secure the goods before that happened. I ordered two sausage kolaches, one sweet cheese and seasonal fruit (I think orange?) kolache, and a Red Bandana taco. - Sausage kolache ($5): This tasted just like a Chinese hot dog bun but with a thicker sausage (sweet on the outside and salty on the inside). There was cheddar cheese inside as well, but I didn't really taste it. The bottom was also quite burnt. I liked this for the same reason I like Chinese hot dog buns, but it wasn't as mind-blowing as the reviews hyped it up to be. - Sweet cheese and seasonal fruit kolache ($5): The consistency of the cheese was like cottage cheese. The overall taste was similar to a danish. I liked the citrus flavor from the seasonal fruit. - Red Bandana taco ($8): Quite expensive for a single taco, but I did enjoy this the most out of what I ordered. The shrimp was plump and crispy, and the hollandaise sauce added a delicious creaminess. Not sure what the sauce on the side was (maybe salsa?), but it was sweet. I liked the sauce, but the taco was fine on its own. However, the flour tortilla was soggy and lackluster. I wanted to substitute for a corn tortilla but forgot to do so in my mad dash to secure a kolache. Overall, it was a solid lunch, although on the pricier side (there was also an additional 10% fair wage surcharge even on take-out orders). I regret not ordering the chicken on a biscuit during yesterday's final Friday takeout lunch, but it sounds like the team behind Vincent's has future plans for this space, so I look forward to seeing those unravel.

This was our second visit, and we have had a great experience both times. For our most recent visit we sat at the bar and Matthew took great care of us. If you enjoy cocktails this place, and their sister restaurant State Park, are great options. Definitely will be back!

Google
A simple menu with bright flavors. I got the Vincent’s board with a nice soft cheese, rhubarb sauce (I think it’s a sauce?), crostini. I really liked the cheese. It was easily spreadable and not super strong like brie is. The rhubarb sauce was surprisingly tangy, not sweet like I expected. The crostini was a bit burnt, though. The other item is pate, but I’m vegetarian, so I didn’t eat it (my roommate did, though, so it didn’t go to waste!) For my main, I got the tamale. I expected a bit more food than a single tamale given the price. It was a bit basic and didn’t have a lot of taste. The star of the show was the passion fruit tart, though. Super flavorful and creamy. There aren’t a lot of vegetarian options, so keep that in mind. The prices were a bit high, especially given how little food there was. But the passion fruit tart was worth the cost. The atmosphere felt very intimate with low lighting and close seating. The server was very kind and kept checking in with us. And I think it’s interesting they have a 20% service fee that is distributed to all employees (servers, bartenders, back of house staff, etc).

Vincent’s is a small new restaurant near the Kendall Square Cinema where I went for brunch and got three excellent breakfast tacos. I’m used to getting three tacos generally for a meal, but if you get anything beyond the basic, but delicious B.E.C. taco you really only need to get two because they are quite large. I think this place would make a good date spot because of the ambiance and the small cozy bar tucked away near the front of the dining room. Update: Recently just had dinner here and enjoyed the flavors of all the dishes. I will say the Chicken Two Ways was well worth the price, but I felt the Mussels + John Dory and the Breads and Spreads were smaller portions than anticipated so keep that in mind.

Attending an event nearby. Figured we would "give it a try" and wow so glad we did. From the second we stepped in, the experience was excellent. The incredibly friendly host ended up being our server. Absolutely outstanding. Started out with the two special drinks of the night, a Wabi Sabi and an Antibes. Highly recommend both. And if you have app, make sure you try the Vincent's Board. Tonight it had a salmon pate. The mix of flavors with the drinks. Totally on point. For dinner, we had a duck breast and the masa gnocchi. The flavor combination with the perfectly cooked duck was amazing. The duck fat cashews...wow. The gnocchi was not the normal Italian gnocchi but again the flavor made it shine and the gnocchi themselves were like tiny golden pillows that melted in your mouth. If in the area...definitely give it a try!

Kolaches, breakfast tacos, drinks, what more would you want from a great Texas joint? The food was delicious, prices reasonable, ambiance was top notch, and the staff were super friendly! Love this place! 10/10 would recommend!

Google
A cozy place to grab a glass or bottle of fantastic wine, and you don't have to be a sommelier. The waiters were so helpful; I asked for their recommendations and was pleasantly surprised. The Vicent’s board and food were incredible as well. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Good, not great for the value... The ambiance is really charming, it feels like you're stepping into someone's home. Some favorites were the masa gnocchi and the chocolate crème brûlée. The duck entree was also solid. Nothing was spectacular- everything was very decent. The pork tails (which are like a cross behind pork ribs and chicken wings) were crispy, deep fried, with no real flavor besides lard. The cocktails did not live up to expectations. I've heard better things about their brunch and would be interested in giving them another try for another meal!

Yelp
Can't comment on the restaurant as it is normally although it seems that they really change their operations style on the time of day and the day of week. They have a weekly sandwich takeout on Friday where a sandwich is announced on Thursday and you can reserve for pickup. Had the roast beef sandwich which was surprisingly really good. Beef was cut and made such that it felt somewhere between a roast beef and steak sandwich but the package was overall bright, creamy and savory. Honestly an excellent sandwich although maybe a touch small for people with larger appetites.

Yelp
Great cocktails ! I got the la vaquera which is basically a spicy marg. More of a restaurant than a bar though

Yelp
SOOO glad Yelp allowed me to discover this amazing hidden gem in Kendall Square-- the breakfast tacos were AMAZINGGG 11/10, the outdoor seating was so cute (NYC style), even the inside of the restaurant was nice! The coffee was ehhhh, not the best tbh but the service was also good- waiters + waitresses were friendly and it's in a quiet spot... super cute place to bring your friends or loved ones for brunch -- especially on a nice day out.

Elena J.

Yelp
3.5/5 Came here on a Friday night and was seated right away. The ambience is very nice and our server was great! I ordered the black bass and mussels. The bass was tender and when I dipped the fish and mussels in the rich broth, they were excellent! The pops of fresh tomatoes in the dish added great flavor as well. This dish also came with some sort of chopped broccoli that was not to my liking - it tasted too raw and didn't fit with the rest of the flavors. I will say that for the price, the portion size was a little small. According to their website, their menus change often, and I could see myself going back to try something new!

Todd L.

Yelp
Really solid brunch spot - I think this will be my new go-to brunch spot in the area! Cozy decor and ambience (think your favorite neighborhood eatery vibes) with attentive service. No wait on a Saturday morning at 11am and even as we were leaving around 1pm there was available seating which is a huge plus in my book for a brunch place in the Boston area. - Sweet cheese kolache: think similar to a Danish. It came with warm cranberries and was a good combination of tart, rich cheese, and fluffy pastry. Great with hot coffee. - Breakfast tacos: $5-6 gets you a full hand-sized taco with a combination of well-balanced ingredients paired with a unique salsa. I would recommend the Guadalupe (crispy potatoes were a highlight!) and the Wolfman of Del Rio (smoked brisket was moist and mildly sweet, well-balanced with the seasoning). They're quite filling! - Mimosa: comes in a glass with ice so difficult to tell how much bang for your buck you're getting. Could be a bit stronger in my book :P Coffee, a mimosa, and ~3 items (kolache, tacos) came out to about $40. This includes a mandatory service fee that goes directly to the kitchen & wait staff, which I really appreciate so you don't have to think too much about tipping extra (and shows that the business cares about its workforce). I'll definitely be back to try lunch/dinner and other items on their brunch - will bump this review to a 5 if those other ventures go well too.

Yelp
Pour one out for the late Cafe Du Pays and its progenitor, Hungry Mother, then raise a glass to the latest iteration of this restaurant empire! Rising from a mid-pandemic pivot and taking inspiration from yet another former resident of the storied space, Vincent's Corner Grocery, this restaurant wears many hats: They serve a lively brunch centered around brunch drinks and breakfast tacos, a Friday take-out lunch special with cucumber lemonade and brown-bag sandwiches, and of course some of the best dinnertime fine-dining. They threw together a wonderful patio space for when the weather's permitting, and that interior space has always had a beautiful speakeasy vibe. Like many restaurants in the neighborhood, you can pick up discount Kendall Cinema tickets here with your meal if you're going for dinner and a movie.

Atarah J.

Yelp
Loved this place! Found it on a whim for brunch with friends and had to wait a bit to be sat without a reservation but it was well worth it! It's Texas Roadhouse style brunch and we loved everything we ordered! Can't wait to write another review when we check it out for dinner!

Jacob R.

Yelp
This is a simply SPECTACULAR option - I've been here both for brunch and dinner! They really do it all! Reservations are available but not necessary - can def walk in most evenings. Vincent's is a local spot, a classic "girl next door" appeal. They are a self-proclaimed "neighborhood restaurant" and they definitely live up to it. All made-to-order dishes on a menu that is always changing. Incredible food and drink from a staff that welcomes you with open arms and warm chatter. A few notes on the vibe: the space is wide open and NOT dark, which I very much appreciate, allowing you to actually see your food, the company, and the decor. It's also NOT loud so your voice is not strained at the end of a nice evening out. This is an ideal spot for smaller groups like dates or meals for up to 6 people. I will 100% be back. Need to take advantage of the Kendall Sq cinema discount next time to get the full experience. Tldr: high-quality time at a low-key spot. Easily a 5 out of 5.

Yelp
What an unexpected delight! From the outside, Vincent's looks like a very unassuming Italian restaurant. But once you step inside, you find a magical ambiance reflective of a cozy place in Vermont, Amsterdam or the French countryside. The food and wine pairings were excellent, service was spectacular, and overall ambiance (especially the cozy table in the corner!) and cute little bar area were such a nice change from typical Cambridge restaurants. Our server gave us complimentary digestives also at the end, which was super sweet! Pair Vincent's with a movie at the Kendal Theater (which we did) and you'll have yourself a wonderful night! We'll be back!

Sam Y.

Yelp
Food was good, I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. One thing was that they seemed a bit busy so I got the vibe they were kicking us out/in a rush to take our order.

Jason P.

Yelp
Small, quaint modern Americana restaurant! Intimate ambience with an simple exterior and a cozy, rustic interior. The upstairs seating has a colorful/dark feel that is welcoming yet secluded enough for couples and small groups. Dark hardwood, cushioning with an vintage feel, and dim lighting all adds to the intimacy. The changing menu is great - the restaurant tries to source as locally as possible and from small producers which results in the ever shifting menu. Wide range of drinks although unsurprisingly, the beer on tap menu is small, reflective of the place's scale. They do however, pair well with the style of food served here. Aside from the menu and vibes, the food itself is tasty and well-portioned - not overly savory but filling and well-balanced. The mussels were served with a nice, light sauce. In the past, I've enjoyed their masa gnocchi as well - not too impressive but the pasta walked a fine line between overwhelming to dull noodles. The Chile oil was an interesting touch. The patatas bravas were a bit disappointing however, especially for the price. Essentially home fries - the special sauce that came with it wasn't anything particularly amazing. Overall however, I'm keen to cautiously recommend this place for a casual eater, at least for dinner service. The prices along with the mandatory service charge (before tip) results in quite the hefty bill for food that at the end of the day, is nice but not endless praiseworthy. For a date night or a meeting with a long time friend looking for something other than the typical tavern or trattoria, the place is great with it's slightly more elevated vibe. Just be prepared to pay more for the ambience!

Kevin C.

Yelp
This is our favorite neighborhood spot! Wonderful cozy atmosphere and amazing food. Love the seasonal menus and music.

Elle D.

Yelp
Delicious! Everything we had was great. Wish the wine pours were a little larger but that's just a small ask in a sea of excellence.

Bev H.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Drinks were great. The food was a culinary disaster. Ordered the gnocchi and it was covered in crispy flakes that tasted like crushed up Fritos. The gnocchi itself was not made of typical potato but "masa" or a cornmeal based mixture, which was worth trying but ultimately fell flat for my palate. The gnocchi formed loose and tasteless morsels that were lost in the crushed up topping of "chips". Really tasteless. Also ordered the duck, which was bland and on a plate full of a mess of side components that all blended together tasting the same. I have never had a bad duck at a restaurant but this was memorably poor. Also ordered the raw oysters which were pre-dressed with a vinaigrette but they didn't taste fresh and were over dressed and too pungent. Perhaps allow the customer to add the vinegar themselves? I am really not sure how this place gets 5 stars on here, it's not even close to being mediocre. For $175 including the tip, we felt mega ripped off even by Boston standards of food which are admittedly quite low. Love the ambiance and the drinks and service, hate the food.

Sean J.

Yelp
Went here on a whim and was very pleased. Cocktails were some of my favorite in Cambridge. Food was well portioned and delicious. I had the duck, my daughter had gnocchi, my wife had pork. My only wish was that they served bread at the table. I would have loved it with my sauces and it seems like a low lift that would have elevated my meal. Staff was amazing, very kind and the service was also the best I've had in Cambridge. The owners also are very transparent about pricing and how they are trying to pay fair wages. I appreciated this. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. There was some great background music playing. Make sure you look at the menu before going, it's limited, I'm assuming because they work hard making each dish great, but if you are picky, it might be tough. We loved the menu so not a problem for us. Overall, worth getting out of the craziness of all the Mass Ave restaurants and I would recommend it.

Todd M.

Yelp
Wow! Came to this place for brunch and what a treat! Everything is homemade. The tacos are just awesome. I had the duck breakfast taco and the chorizo sausage taco. Our table got a bunch of others. The breakfast salad was awesome and the twice-fried potatoes were so flavorful. Ketchup, salsas and even the hot sauce are homemade. The bacon is homemade. Everything is made on site! Just awesome!

Marina W.

Yelp
I came here for a weekend brunch. The food was SO good. But what I want to know is what do they do to those heirloom beans? That is how I want to eat beans all the time. They were perfect. We made a reservation 1.5 hours in advance for noon. If we had arrived then, I don't this there would have been a table available but after about 1pm or so it cleared out pretty well. Between 2 people, we got 1 tamale plate, 4 tacos, and 1 side of kohl slaw (and a bloody mary and a cocktail). Was this too much food? Yes. It really was. Did we finish it all? Yes, yes we did. Did I eat again the rest of the day? No, no I didn't. Would I do it again? Yes, absolutely. The only change I would make is not getting a cocktail.

Adriene W.

Yelp
Best tortillas in town. And the brunch selection of pitcher cocktails are what you need right now.

Meg K.

Yelp
Cafe du Pays is no more, but say hello to its casual cousin, Vincent's! What started as a corner grocer and wine shop in the pandemic has blossomed into a fantastic new restaurant. The team has done an awesome job of pivoting to stay relevant during the pandemic and beyond, as we slowly return to normal. Vincent's has an adorable patio area on a shady side street, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and a snack. Wine is absolutely what you should be doing here-- Vincent's boasts a spectacular wine list and the servers made great recommendations. (The Mon Tot Rouge was the perfect red for a summer evening, a light and bright alternative for anyone else who's a little burned out on rosé.) Though I'd be remiss if I didn't also encourage you to try their cocktails, where they're serving up a great variety of classics with their signature Vincent charm. Can't go wrong with a Paloma on the patio in the summertime!

Ross C.

Yelp
Such a fantastic dining experience. Great service and a delicious dinner--all set in an intimate atmosphere.

Kimberly E.

Yelp
What a delicious exploration of flavors we just had at Vincent's! Watermelon gazpacho with pickled cucumbers?! Masa gnocchi with cabbage?! Chèvre & Honey pot du crème?! This is why you go to a restaurant - to taste incredible items that you would never think to make at home. The staff was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere cozy and quaint and we would absolutely go back.

Tibs T.

Yelp
I went here for brunch and got the Wolfman of Del Rio taco, the Bodega Breakfast Sandwich, and a sweet cheese and fruit kolache. Everything was so delicious. The menu items have such unique and entertaining names, and they exceed all expectations. The home fries are to die for! The service is excellent as well, everyone is so nice and welcoming. Overall very satisfied.

Tiia G.

Yelp
This place is very cute. Went for brunch and sat outside and got the breakfast sandwich and sweet cheese and fruit kolache. The Mexican bread used for the sandwich was so fresh and the added peppers was a surprisingly great addition. Friend eggs were perfectly cooked and pepper mayo added the perfect amount of flavor. There was a bit too much hibiscus in my purple margarita, it was a little overwhelmingly sweet, but I actually went back the next day and a friend ordered the same thing and it was wayyyy less purple so I'm sure it would have been better but the inconsistency is not ideal. They have a great selection of funky wines and are always pouring different ones by the glass which will definitely have me going back soon.

T O.

Yelp
What happened here!? $200 dollar bill and 6 tacos later. Yikes! The service was incredible and the food was not. The tamale was not an actual tamale (a 3 inch imposter with no husk or filling). The rellenos would make my abuela roll over in her grave. And I suggest not putting the word "Chile" on something that doesn't actually have "Chile" anywhere near it (mini sweet bell peppers with a dash of filling). The broccoli taco must have a 300% mark up? The jalapeño sausage taco was undercooked and had a sour belly through the next day. It's cute using piñon incense bricks to give the perception that this place is authentic. The desperate attempt to create a fusion menu on taco night resulted in a major fail and assimilation of the Southwest and it's rich culture. Stick to sandwiches or whatever's in your lane.

Ben W.

Yelp
breakfast tacos? yes please. cute spot for brunch date or for a work break with comrades. this place thrives in warm weather, but inside will suffice. i will be back. this place is SOLID.

Peyton C.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing and a hidden gem. Don't wait 1-2 hours to get brunch anywhere else - I get the breakfast BEC plate with brisket ! I brought my family here when they visited and they can't stop talking about it. 10/10 would recommend- food is fresh and tasty and EVERYTHING is homemade - I think even the ketchup?? Look how good this looks, and this was our third plate!

Yunsie C.

Yelp
We came here for brunch on Sunday, and if it was absolutely delicious! We had Huevos Rancheros and three breakfast tacos, and they were so good! I would come here again!!!!

Nisha G.

Yelp
Came here for the breakfast tacos and kolaches! Enjoyed all our food and everyone who works there was very nice. Tacos were a bit oily but still really good. Sweet little neighborhood spot with outdoor seating (as of late may 2022). Their website says they have deal for dinner if you're going before a movie- ask them in advance!

Julia M.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Vincent's during a run and came back with my husband after work on a Wednesday. Dining room was busy but not packed, so we were able to get in without a reservation. Food, cocktails and wine were all great. Service was attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and pretty - perfect for a date spot or intimate dinner with friends. What a great find!

Stuart L.

Yelp
I cannot remember when I last had a meal this good. Atmosphere is softly lit and homey. The pickled peanuts and chili dusted carrot appetizers were outstanding - flavorful and nice textures. I had the lamb two ways. The tenderloin was perfectly medium rare, and the merguez was delicious, both with spicy, tangy sauce. The red wine we had was naturally fermented, from Abruzzo. It was slightly carbonated and exceptionally balanced. Dessert was two small scoops of sorbet and plum - the perfect finish. I can't wait to come back and try the seared duck breast!

Tendü Y.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. We came for breakfast. Breakfast tacos are awesome, the home made fries are out of worldly. Service is outstanding. Sweet cheese and cranberry Kolache was scrumptious. I'm almost afraid to give a great review, because they will become one of those overcrowded spots in Kendall square.

Michael S.

Yelp
Wow, was this disappointing. We are pescatarians, and there was not much we could eat. We had a good sample of dishes we could eat, and they were tasty, but small portions and vastly overpriced ($28 for a plate of vegetables?). Wine and desserts were also good, but pricy and small. And no one mentioned in advance the mandatory 20% surcharge they tack on.

Eric P.

Yelp
The food, drinks, and space were great. Unfortunately, our experience was affected by two female servers who were unfriendly from the moment we sat down. They could benefit from retraining as it is never a good idea to argue with a customer. Our small party remained polite and made the best of the situation, but it was not the experience we hoped to have.

Maddy Y.

Yelp
Awesome place for some breakfast tacos! I have yet to try their dinner menu, but looking forward to that as well. Staff is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the food is delicious!

Jen C.

Yelp
COZY! Highlights: Breakfast tacos, sweet and savory kolaches, homemade hot sauce (habanero & carrot), coffee, sticky bun!, dark walks and bright serviceThe menu also describes each wine with an adjective--very fun/helpful! Excellent brunch spot and would love to try the outdoor space when it's a bit warmer

Deanna B.

Yelp
How does this lovely place with such great food, drink and people have such few reviews? Vincent's has been a bright light this year for my partner and I with their monthly cocktail and snack share - every month we look forward to the tasty and creative libations and accompaniments put together by Vincent's. Aside from the cocktail share, their food and pastries are delicious - we are so glad to have them around. If you haven't checked them out, they are worth the visit!

Adam V.

Yelp
My wife and I had an early dinner here prior to checking out a movie across the street at Kendall Square Cinema and had a wonderful experience! It was a cold and icy night, but the dining room was warm and cozy. Our meal started with fresh and delicious oysters accompanied by just the right accent of mustard vinaigrette and a perfectly cooked tempura octopus. My wife had the red snapper and mussels which were great, and the barley risotto that accompanied my duck breast was top notch. Friendly staff and outstanding cocktails as an added bonus! Would definitely return again.

Lindsay S.

Yelp
Delicious food, fabulous cocktail + wine selection (highly recommend talking with Mariana about her favorite wines in house if you have the chance), cozy environment, and very friendly team. One of our favorite local stops in the Cambridge area that never dissappinys!

Alejandra W.

Yelp
Excellent food and place. All the dished are delicious and the place is beautiful and clean, perfect to spend a good breakfast with your love ones

John E.

Yelp
Fantastic drinks and food. Very cozy atmosphere. Crispy pork ribs were my favorite item.

Alison H.

Yelp
We came for a late night (almost closing time) drinks and nibbles and the service was attentive and the food and drinks delicious. It also was well-priced. It's wonderful to have this gem in the neighborhood!

Owen S.

Yelp
Great neighborhood spot, perfect for a unique cocktail, glass of wine, and plate of food. Make sure to check their daily specials.
