Good variety of meets of different cuts in this store. I finally was able to get some beef cheeks to bring home, they are very hard to find nowadays, but so good for long slow roasts on these dreary winter days. The lamb sausage was excellent. We enjoyed every bit of it.

There are a few butcher shops on authur ave but for me this is my favorite. This place will literally do whatever you want them to do to a cut of meat. They also carry things like duck, lamb, rabbit, quail, and a few other more exotic meats if you're into that kind of stuff. Great place and make sure you ask for Jimmy he is a true professional!

Best meat, hands down. I've been a customer for a number of years until I moved to PA which made it hard. I would come back to NY when I could and always make a big purchase to take back home with me until a few years ago they started their online store which you can buy all of their meats they have in store and get it delivered overnight by choosing the day you want it delivered! The owner Peter is a nice, amazing guy and goes above and beyond for his customers. Thanks for keeping the old school meat market alive. Great experience ordering online and having shipped to Virginia. Got a shipping notification in the afternoon and it was at my door by 11 am the next day. It was packed very well, with still frozen ice packs and very cold fresh meat/cheese. Can't wait to make dinner tonight!

Definitely digging this place. Was hoping I could start leaning more towards vegetarian, but this place is killing that pretty badly. From the disgusting photos I was able to take in the window, to the piece of Flank Point beef I ordered today, and the service I received, I would go again from Queens to the Bronx to return here. You can see the workers cutting up the various meats, trimming the fat and all that they do... they take meticulous care. Will definitely return.

The last two times I have ordered sweetbreads, I have been quite disappointed. Last time, the sweetbreads were tough, and this time, they were filled with fat. After removing the excess fat, there wasn't much left. I will not order from them again

the quality of the meat is cool but since October the customer service has been garbage I've been ordering since October and I have awful experiences when calling them. like today. they close in 6 minutes. do I have my beef box? nope. I called at 12:54 guess what the dude that answers the phone when you press 3 says? "youll have it within 3 hours" it's 4:55. that's four hours. do I have it? nope. rather just start going to the super market I ain't going to keep dealing with this. I moved to way upstate NY and miss a good piece of meat. I placed an order to try things out and I was very pleased. I received my order in 24 hrs and it was very fresh. I'll be using Vincent's on a weekly basis. Great meats at a reasonable price. Great Job Vincent's

I was looking for some good tomahawk steak online because I wanted to prepare a nice birthday dinner for my boyfriend. Vincent's Meat Market had a lot of good reviews on their website and their prices seemed reasonable to the size of the steak, so I decided to order from here. As a steak rookie, I called and asked for advice on what size to get for 2 people and I was recommended to get the 48oz, 2 in cut. I ordered for delivery to Queens a week in advance and I called a day before my delivery date JUST to make sure it was shipped out on time. Although there was an "issue" with the online shipping system so they forgot to ship it out, the worker told me that he would drop it off to FedEx himself to make sure it got delivered on time. It promptly arrived the next morning so I REALLY appreciated that! The steak itself was AMAZING quality -- I honestly think it was better than Peter Luger's Steakhouse. It was actually big enough to share with 3.5 people.... I highly recommend for the quality, price, and service!!! Will order from here again in the future!:)

Pork chop are best of best! My son sends as a gift for me every Christmas and Birthday.

I bought the pork Braciole. Said to be thin sliced pork butt stuffed with cheese and herbs. No. It was two thin slices of pork butt stuffed with a huge pork sausage. Shame on Vincent's Meat Market. I will not order again.

What a great cut of meat! Ordered a Dry Aged Porterhouse so I could wow I the family on vacation with Bisteca alla Fiorentina. It was delicious. Thanks for the service. Even in Wisconsin I will find way to be a repeat customer.

This is one of the best butcher shops in the New York City area. I have been coming here for about 8 years and have turned many friends on to it! Prime meats are their specialty and prices are reasonable! Try their stuffed pork chops, bracciole and stuffed Frenched chicken breast. Also great steaks, pork, lamb, calf brains, poultry, etc. Most of the best restaurants in the region get their meats there too! Definitely worth the trip to Little Italy in the Bronx!

One of the BEST butchers in NYC. Fresh cuts of steaks and chops. Great house made sausages and chorizo. The customer service is fantastic and if you want to special request something such as a goose or turkey for the holidays they are able to accommodate. I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint.

Don't trust this meat market I ordered meat via door dash and it was rotten.

Hopefully this review is read by the courteous Italian owner (Peter) of this meat market who I know takes pride in what they do for it's a family owned business which my family & I have patronized for many years. Here is the problem, the Mexican workers operate the business with poor service (particularly communication) & no regard or respect for the customers needs as if they themselves are the owners. I walked in with my wife & 2 minor children, stand in line behind 1 customer & await my turn. One worker yells out "we're closed" yet sign on door read "open" & we were already on line for 5 minutes awaiting our turn. I point that out to him as his colleague calls out "next" to us. We ask for a whole piece of oxtail at $9.99 per pound ($45 piece) whereas I know of other markets where we could pay $4.99 lb. What happens next was most insulting. The worker without saying or asking us anything cuts the tail by hand wotb a knife in huge chunks not meant for consumption. I ask, "are you using the cutting machine?" He says, "no it's cleaned already & I can't use it." Well why didn't you say so or ask us how thick we want it cut since we are paying for it? He looked confused/puzzled by my question & replied, "I eat it this thick". I thought to myself it's not for you nor is this charity. The piece was thicker than a Peter Luger porter house. We walked out in disgust. Before leaving I addressed the "Manager" who turns out was actually the one announcing they were closed. I said "this is not the way you do business" & he agreed that worker should've told me machine was off & asked how we wanted our oxtail cut but he did nothing to remedy the situation or appease us. I know this would not have happened if Peter or any of his family were there or perhaps if we were caucasian. That said, we are longtime customers who love supporting businesses in the Bronx where we live. We shouldn't have experienced this poor level of customer service & before the reputation for quality meat & service is destroyed perhaps a relative or Peter himself should always be around at closing so that workers don't lower standard of service. Ps: I spoke to workers in English & Spanish to make sure they know how insulted we were & disappointed by the service at their hands.

Ok so it really pains my heart to write this update. I've been a customer for many years and Vincent's has always delivered. However, I just went in today for a pickup order of 4x 28oz ribeye steaks. Mind you, its a purchase close to 200 bucks. First of all when I walked out, I realized one ribeye was missing, so I went back and told them and they cut me one on the spot, now...have a look at the picture, there is no way that is a 28oz ribeye, 16oz maybe at best...and it wasn't weighed or anything..... luckily we saw this at the car and managed to catch them just before closing and this time they cut us a decent sized steak...I really hope this was just an off day...when I do my next purchase I hope to bump up my review back to 5 stars again but after today's fiasco...3 is the best I can give...for now

Thank you for getting my cooking groove back. I live between Reading and Lancaster and with 4 supermakets plus Wegmans and Whole Foods, I could not get decent meat. I also tried ordering from Allen Brothers and D'Artagnan and everything is frozen meat. When ice crystals get into meat no matter about cryovaacum, the texture changes. With so many fresh meat options, I have made stuffed veal breast with fennel sausage, beef bourganoan and blanqueete de veau...The steak is fantantic. Ordered dry aged strips and 10 ounce filet. Vincents's is my weekly butcher. They pack it on Monday and my order is here on tuesday morning---Can't wait to try osso bucco for Xmas

Simply the best. Been coming here since I was 5. Even though my meat consumption has reduced, when I do want a quality cut this is the spot. It will be hard to find the diversity of meats, with the specific cut details at any other butcher. Want only dark meat for your ground turkey? They'll make it fresh. Need a whole goat for a family feast, they'll prepar it to your liking. Duck, bison, rabbit shot pheasant, they got it, in the finest quality available. They'll freezer wrap anything for freshness. I'd put Vincent's up against any meat market in NYC and it is located in the heart of the real Little Italy on Arthur Ave.

Vincent's meat is super tasty, but their delivery system for online orders has issues. On Jan 20 I placed a prepaid online order that was due to be delivered on Jan 22 between 10AM-6PM. The delivery window is really long which is tough for someone who is home alone with two dogs. If I take them on a quick walk, I might miss the order since I have to buzz deliveries into my building. The Jan 22 order never arrived. I emailed TheCounter@vincentsmeatmarket.com at 3:20pm to see if the delivery was actually on it's way or not because my dogs needed to go out. No one wrote back and the order never came. I did not hear from anyone 9:08AM the next day. ("It seems there was an error with the scheduling of your order. Im very sorry it wasn't delivered yesterday. I will put it in for delivery today.") I wrote back at 9:50am, "I would like the order today but we are only home between noon and 2. I'm not there now and need to leave at 2. Is that doable? Thank you!" Vincent's (via email: 10:39am): "I will tell my driver. I'm sure he can deliver within those hours." The meat came at 2:17pm and only after I called to complain at 2:05pm. The lack of respect for my time and the amount of energy I had to put into nagging people for my (admittedly delicious) meat is super annoying. I paid for an outdoor class at 2:30pm in the park (as did my friend who also missed the class) and I am here indoors and writing a review and out $50 thanks to Vincent's delivery system.

The red owing has the Vincent's Meat Market but locals of Belmont call it the pork shop. The meat is just super, from sausage to cured to raw. You got to try them all.

I came to this Arthur Ave specialty meat market in the Bronx just expecting it to be like any other butcher around here. What surprised me the most was the selection they have. I been looking for a place where I can get rare finds like rabbit for the longest time and, sure enough, they have it here. I bought some sweet sausage, grilled it at home and it was fantastic. Only down sides are that it's quite pricy and service at the counter is a tad huffy and rushed. Other than that, the quality is great and the selection is terrific. If you're coming from other parts of the city or Long Island, pack a cooler and stock up here. Will definitely be back and recommend stopping by here.

I ordered from Vincent's Meat Market on Arthur Ave. in the Bronx, a gift package that was delivered to Staten Island for my son in laws birthday, he LOVES steak! In his gift package I ordered for him AGED PRIME GRADE Porterhouse steak, Fillet Mignon steaks, and a Tomahawk steak from the rib of beef, plus a variety of sausages too! A package like this makes a GREAT gift for anyone, on any occasion I believe! When the package arrived my son in law saw Vincent's name on the box and opened it up OUTSIDE before it got through the door! He put the Tomahawk steak on the BBQ the same day, he called us to thank us and said the steak was tender as butter, delicious, and just AWESOME! For sure we will order from Vincent's again! Yes, I would RECOMMEND Vincent's Meat Market for TOP QUALITY meats and specialty meat items to our family. and friends, and to you too who are reading this review, remember this review is coming from an experienced retired butcher! Sometimes you can learn more about a business when there is an issue versus than when things go perfect. My son was celebrating his 21st birthday under lockdown and we wanted to do something special. We decided to order a 48 ounce Tomahawk Steak (something he had never experienced before) and were happy to find Vincent's online. The fact that their online meat was fresh and not frozen was a big plus on deciding where to order from and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of their offerings. We ordered the tomahawk, some rib eyes, pork belly, pork braciole, stuffed pork chop and french stuffed chicken breast. So my son's birthday was on Wednesday and Vincent's sent out the order Monday afternoon. It was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday and while it made it to the Fedex location near my house, it never made it on the delivery truck. I reached out to Fedex and they told me they were having delivery issues and promised the package would arrive the next day. Wednesday came and, once again, it was not on the truck with no known delivery date. As the shipping packaging is good to keep the food fresh for 48 hours, if it was not delivered on Wednesday it would need to be disposed of. I reached out to Vincent's by email and received a prompt reply from Kenny. While the delay was due to issues faced at Fedex, Kenny apologized and assured me that they would send a replacement the next day. I thanked him and said we would just have to celebrate my son's birthday on Thursday. A short time later, I get a call from Kenny. He had been working to find a courier to pick the package up at Fedex but the package was apparently in a container and there was no way to access it. I told him I understood and mentioned that I would be willing to take a drive to the Bronx if they could get the order ready. He said he would hate for me to drive an hour each way to do that but I was more than willing to do so for my son. He said he would move us to the front of the line and could have the order ready by the time we got there and that I could just call him when I arrived and he would run it out to the car. When I arrived, there was a line outside the store at about 2pm on a Wednesday. I called Kenny and sure enough, he came out immediately with the order. He said, "There is a little something extra in there for your son's 21st." I thanked him for all his help. When I got home, we opened the package and there was a very generous gift in there for my son. He even crossed off the price and wrote "Happy 21st Birthday" on the item. That night, we made the Tomahawk along with the stuffed pork chop. Both were absolutely incredible. Last night, we had the braciole. I would say it was on par with my mom's which is truly a great compliment. I baked the pork belly last night for 6 hours and will be cutting and frying some up for tonight and we will be cooking the rest of our order on the grill tomorrow. If you are looking for a customer focused business with an incredible meat selection and great quality, you should check out Vincent's. We will surely be ordering from them again. This is certainly one of the great butcher shops in New York City, and probably the best in the area. (No disrespect to you Biancardi). The selection is large, the butchery is of a high order and the prices are reasonable. On my most recent visit, I went with veal shanks for osso bucco, a porterhouse, some lamb sausage, and a stuffed chicken breast with spinach and cheese. The porterhouse was of fine quality and less expensive than at Ottomanelli's or Los Paisanos. Often merguez is too fatty and yields too much grease, but not here. The chicken roasted up nicely, and despite oozing a lot of cheese, there was plenty left inside. I do have a bone to pick (no pun intended) with the osso bucci, which were tough (even after hours of braising) and not all that flavorful. Maybe I should have picked the smaller pieces. No complaints about Italian bacon (not pancetta) but regular bacon imported from Italy - beautiful with a great fat to meat ratio, and a piece of primo sale cheese with hot peppers. Those were great. A destination butcher shop for sure!

This was our first online order and first time shopping with Vincent's Meat Market and they exceeded our expectations by a mile! Peter was a dream to deal with. He was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our very large order was processed properly and delivered to us in a perfect and timely manner. Misael, the gentleman that delivered the order placed all the boxes on our shelves we set outside, due to the Covid19 Pandemic, and we greatly appreciated that extra step! When we opened the boxes all we can say is WOW!! Everything looked AMAZING! We highly recommend this wonderful family-owned butcher! Side note: the meatballs were absolutely delicious!!

We've been going to Vincent's for years. Great meat, great people working there. During this pandemic, I put in an order for delivery. Because they weren't specific on the exact delivery date (approximately 3 weeks from the time of the order placed...around June 4th) I requested changing it from delivery to curbside pick up. Peter said that wouldn't be a problem but "could not remove the $16 shipping charge". He asked what time we would be by to pick up and we said 2pm. My husband went to Vincent's...curbside pickup did not exist. My husband went in to a relatively crowded store with not one of the men behind the counter actually wearing their masks. Teitel brothers on the other hand had every worker wearing masks. Stay away from Vincent's while this very contagious virus continues.

If you are a foodie like me and you are looking for a premium cut of meat in the neighborhood, you must check out Vincent's Meat Market. I like going there because it is very clean and the staff is very helpful in explaining what cut of meat is better for your meal idea. Overall one of my favorite stops when I am in Little Italy.

Ordered online to deliver to Queens. Received it in less than 24 hours from the ship date. The Berkshire Pork quality was excellent. Everything was well packaged and fresh. Will order again.

I do not recommend buying any meat from this market! My dad used to go there every time he drove through NY city. And he caught the son once, dropping a few frozen steaks on the wet, freshly mopped floor. And he picked them up and wrapped them and threw them right in the cooler! Gross. Ok. Not a big deal because we would give them our venison and they'd sell us some imported stuff from Italy/Greece. But what finally got me to write this review was the fact that they sold us very OLD MEAT. My dad sent me once to grab some choice cuts for him that he had reserved on the phone the day before. And you'll never believe the date that was on the underside of the package. It wasn't just one, but 4 out of the 5 packages were 2 years old. They told us they weren't frozen for no longer than 2 weeks! When they say that their meats are fresh? We found a much better place in Brooklyn as well and they love the venison we bring them and their meats are very fresh! So i had to warn people. I'm not sure if only the son is to blame for these "mishaps" as the owner called them, either way, old meat is NOT fresh! And we will not be going back ever.

I'm in Boston where when you say sausage they think pancakes and the bread is as sour is the sports fans (seriously, any crusty chewy bread up here is all friggin sourdough!). I digress... Vincent's sausage is incredible and I can have it delivered to the very ugly city of Boston (Boston the manifestation of a crumpled pack of Parliament cigarettes in the form of a city).

I was excited to find Vincent's Meat Market listed on Caviar's free nationwide shipping menu. I didn't know at the time that Caviar is owned by DoorDash. For our wedding anniversary I used the app to purchase some steaks for my husband, as Vincent's had excellent reviews. To make a long story short, there was an issue with delivery and subsequent refund that has yet to be resolved (almost 6 weeks later). Vincent's though...not only were the steaks that I ended up purchasing (directly from them this time) delicious, but the customer service has been outstanding. Kenny from Vincent's Meat Market has been helping to try to resolve this issue with DoorDash from the moment I reached out. He has been communicative, kind, and dedicated to helping resolve this. He's made things better even though the problems had nothing to do with Vincent's. I will absolutely be purchasing from them in the future and the quality of their meat is just a small reason why. Customer service like this is rare and I so appreciate what Vincent's Meat Market has done to help make a terrible situation better. This a company that truly cares about its customers.

I live on the other side of the Bronx but I do try to get to this butcher as much as I can. The meats are a little fresher, for example I purchased some chicken thighs from here and I noticed they were small and the skin was white. I have purchased the same from a neighborhood store and they were huge and the skin was yellow. Going to a butcher has become so rare these days, but I do appreciate being able to this place. They are a little expensive but it is worth it to me.

Awesome place. One of the best butchers on Arthur Ave, if not the best. I needed beef cheeks for my Boeuf Bourguignon. I called them on the phone, no credit card, nothing. Just a name and number. Two days later I got the call and they had 5 pounds of them for me. Great service, very clean, it's obvious they take great pride in their business. I'll definitely be back.

Stopped into Vincent's and couldn't believe the meat display. Everything looked so delicious we purchased items we weren't even thinking about. The counter help was courteous and very well versed in their cuts of meat. The owner, Peter was very attentive to all his customers. This is the best best best butcher I know and have come to absolutely love. Old school friendly neighborhood butcher. A very wide variety of customers stuff into the store and they treat everyone the same priority, care and respect. The owner, Peter, took over the business from his father almost 4 decades ago and his attention to detail shows in both his prime cut raw meats and the preparations he does with some of his breaded cutlets, meatballs, braciole, and stuffed meats (cheese and herbs). This is a great destination for any weekend cook. Come very early if you want to avoid the crowd.

We received our first online order from Vincent's this week and made the pork bricole this evening. The most amazing bricole I have eaten in a long time. It is flavorful, moist and tender. We live out of their traditional delivery area. Due to the virus Vincent's is delivering to our neighborhood. After the virus is over and Vincent's stops delivering to my area...a Lyft will be worth the investment. It is a price we are willing to absorb in order to buy great product. Can't wait till dinner tomorrow night. Thank you Vincent's.

Stocked up before heading back to Virginia....can't get the good stuff down here. Used to live in Brooklyn and shop in Bay Ridge, but Arthur Avenue is much closer to where we were. Quite happy, and our new go-to place.

Vincent's is the most kick ass butcher on Arthur Ave. Not to take anything away from Biancardi's or Peter's Meats in the Retail Market, but Vincent's is definitely my first choice when it comes to fresh meat. I've long been a Vincent's regular, but they completely won me over last week when they proved to be the only one of the three stores that carried fresh duck, not frozen. Thanks to Vincent's, I was able to bring a vacuum packed duck home for Christmas, complete with the head and feet which Boyfriend cheerfully chopped off for stock. The duck was a beauty and we couldn't have been happier with it. Just one more instance of Vincent's quality products. I also pick up chicken breasts here, which I use to make dinner and stock in one fell swoop. The friendly staff will even bone the meat for me if I ask. I once mentioned I was planning to use the breast for cutlets and the guy sliced it up beautifully, saving me the trouble! My other two regular purchases are ground beef, which they'll grind up on the spot, and slab bacon, which hangs on a hook on the wall. At $3.99 a pound it is a good two dollars cheaper than the vacuum packed grocery store variety, and you can get it sliced to your desired thick or thinness. Needless to say, it is really really tasty, and makes for some great carbonara, among other things. They also carry plenty of adventurous cuts of meat, if you want to try brains or tripe, and I once bought a whole rabbit here. If you want something that's already been prepared seasoned, they have stuffed meats and things, as well as a variety of sausages that just need to be cooked to be enjoyed. Bottom line, this place is great. Every neighborhood deserves a quality butcher like Vincent's.

I wish more neighborhoods had high quality, affordable butchers like Vincent's. Vincent's has an extremely wide selection of meats: everything from ground beef (ground from steak right in front of your eyes, a steal at $4/lb.) and lamb chops to fresh-killed rabbits and veal brains. The prices are very reasonable - most meats are cheaper and yet of significantly higher quality than what you might find at nearby supermarket Modern Foods. The staff is friendly and helpful. Vincent himself often shows up and jokes with customers. There is even a small dairy section in the back, where you can find a cheese to pair with your meats. If you need meat in the Fordham area, skip the supermarkets and head to Vincent's. Your wallet and your taste buds will thank you.

My boyfriend was soooo right about the festival of meats inside of Vincents. I was so overwhelmed I could not even stand inside of it! This is Bronx areas big secret, and definitely worth the drive to make your holiday meal! My boyfriend picked up a pork crown roast for our big Christmas dinner. He's an incredible chef! Its hard to impress my mother, but she was very impressed with his cooking skills and the pork came out perfect! Highly recommended! :)

Sadly I randomly discovered Vincent's while trolling through Yelp. Sad because I have been living about 20mins walking distance from this meat nirvana. Vincent's staff of butchers are awesome and so is the selection. A must at any price but its nice that you wallet doesn't get hit hard.

They are a great butcher with competitive prices. It's a bit crazy when you get in and it's just a long counter so you have to assert yourself to get the attention and be served. The staff is nice and very personable. It's little Italy at its finest!
