London’s NYC-Style Pizza Power Ranking

"This homage to NYC-style pizza is a matchbox-sized room on Bushey's high street that has a couple of walk-in only tables, a suntrap bench, and a whole lot of eager takeaway customers. The regular pies are rolled ludicrously thin to ensure an even, truly crispy, singed base with a thin crust. But when it’s on, the special grandma pie—thick with vodka sauce on a focaccia-like base—is a standout. For those coming from central London, Vincenzo’s will be a bit of a schlep but combine with a visit to Gracey’s for the ultimate road trip." - rianne shlebak

Are These London Restaurants Worth The Hype?

"The Verdict: This homage to NYC-style pizza is putting Bushey on the map—for good reason. Vincenzo’s feels like it fell out of a movie set based in NYC and landed on Bushey’s high street. An oil painting of Paulie Walnuts hangs on the wall and beside it a photo of the oven from Lombardi’s in New York. The regular pizzas are rolled ludicrously thin, and the slices have no problem holding their own. But when it's on, the special grandma pie—thick with vodka sauce on a focaccia-like base—is a standout." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing

Finally decided to get down to Vincenzo's and was pretty excited on the way to the little restaurant - I was not disappointed! I was welcomed by Tom and his team when I arrived. Super cool that you see right into the kitchen and chat with the chefs. The pizza itself was top tier, no issue putting this as the best pizza I've had in the UK and on par with those I have had in Italy - dough thickness and charring were spot on and the chilli honey on my pizza was off the charts. Everything was perfectly proportioned to enjoy each flavour - a very happy Sunday in. Cheers to Tom and his team!

Price of pizza is really good for the quality and amount of food you get. Lovely service when you arrive there, was informed how long my pizza would and how many pizza’s were being cooked before mine. Would 100% order again and recommend

At the ripe old age of 36 years old, my longing for pizza perfection is officially over. Best Pizza in London, facts. Tom is a chef who has mastered his pizza making game. I saw the love and meticulous attention to detail every pizza was given. The magic sprinkle on top were the warm vibes from all the kitchen crew. If you are ever questioning a long travel journey, eliminate this doubt and take my word. You will be happy and as a result live a longer life.

Incredible pizza that's truly unique and you can't get anywhere else in the country. Love the ordering system: you know exactly what you're getting and when, and when we decided to eat-in last minute Tom was so accommodating, and genuinely wished he knew in advance so he could bake it once we were seated. Great little shop which makes the atmosphere, but deserves a much bigger place. Wishing him all the success for the future!

Incredible pizza! We all ordered about 6 pizzas. The perfect end to a weekend - and well worth the drive. The vibes of this place are unmatched to other pizzas places I’ve been to. Definitely making another trip! 😊

Been on my bucket list for a while and it did not disappoint. The pizza is second to none, by far the best I’ve ever had. Tom and his team make you feel very welcome. See you again.

Highly recommend! I’ve tried several “New York” pizza places since moving to London from NYC and this is pretty damn close! The ratio of crust to cheese is perfect with a thin and crispy (not too crispy) crust. I wish it were closer to where I live but it’s definitely worth the trip. Seating is extremely limited with only 7 seats inside but we went at 4:30 on a Wednesday and were able to sit down without a problem.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Unbeatable Pizza, Exceptional Service, and a Local Favourite! I recently visited Vincenzo Pizza Restaurant, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a cozy, small shop with a lot of heart, and the care they put into their food and service is clear from the moment you walk through the door. Although there was a bit of a wait, it was absolutely worth it—and the queues tend to settle down after 6pm if you're looking for a quieter time. Let’s talk about the pizza, because it’s genuinely some of the best I’ve had in London. I tried a couple of pizzas, including the Pepperoni Vincenzo Pizza, and it was phenomenal. Their pizza is crafted with thin crust dough that takes its inspiration from its Neapolitan cousin—it’s light, well-fermented, and baked to perfection. The crust is thin and crispy, yet still has that satisfying puffiness around the edges, giving you the best of both worlds. The dough is clearly well-made, with a delicate balance of texture and flavour that sets it apart from your typical pizza joint. The fresh, homemade sauce is another standout. Made from tomatoes bursting with flavour, it complements the pizza without overpowering it. They’re also big on using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, which makes a huge difference in the freshness and overall quality of the meal. You can genuinely taste the care and attention to detail in every bite. The Pepperoni Pizza is an absolute must-try and a steal at £12 for a 12-inch and £21 for an 18-inch. The pepperoni is deliciously spicy, perfectly cooked, and the balance between the toppings and the sauce is spot on. But what really took the pizza to the next level for me was their chilli hot honey sauce. It’s banging! The combination of the spicy and sweet with the crispy, chewy crust was mind-blowing. I wasn’t expecting it, but now I can’t imagine my pizza without it! One of the things I really love about Vincenzo's is the affordable pricing without compromising on quality. Their pizzas range from £10 to £12 for a 12-inch and £18 to £22 for an 18-inch, making it accessible for all pizza lovers. Plus, everything is made fresh and on the spot, which really elevates the whole experience. It’s obvious that they’ve mastered the art of hand-made, authentic pizza. The customer service at Vincenzo’s is just as fantastic as the food. The team is incredibly friendly, and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. They even let me try their honey sauce, which was such a nice touch! And if you have any questions, their quick and helpful responses on Instagram make communication super easy. For convenience, most people order ahead using the QR code on the door, which makes it easy to grab your fresh pizza without waiting in line. It’s perfect if you want to skip the rush or just plan your meal ahead of time. All in all, Vincenzo Pizza Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the thin, crispy crust and locally sourced ingredients to the incredibly friendly staff and convenient ordering process, everything here is top-notch. Whether you’re in the mood for a Pepperoni Pizza or something else from their menu, you’re guaranteed an authentic, mouth-watering pizza experience. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour and visit Vincenzo’s—it’s the perfect blend of quality, taste, and service. I’ll definitely be back for more!
